We went for a wedding reception its a great venue
Relaxing.
Visited as a potential wedding venue
Thanks to Jon and the staff we had a beautiful location to have a great wedding. It was awesome thanks so much.
I finally had my wedding reception at the gallery two weeks ago after it being postponed twice due to the pandemic. They were extremely understanding and flexible of the whole situation. The owners, event coordinator, and bar staff were all fantastic. It was a wonderful experience. Such a unique venue that fit my vintage/eclectic style celebration. Truly a gem in Ottawa that was known to some of my guests and discovered by many that night. Thank you!
We got married at the Orange Art Gallery earlier this summer. The gallery is an amazing wedding venue! It is such a unique and beautiful space with so much character! The artwork really created a wonderful atmosphere and the gallery staff were so kind, welcoming, and accommodating!
We had our small wedding at the Orange Art Gallery and the venue was perfect. The art on the walls added a very nice dimension and the character of the building and terrace were enchanting. The bar was flexible in meeting our desire of showcasing Canadian craft beer, wine and liquor and the bartenders were, as several guests commented, extremely nice and friendly yet professional and mixing a mean drink.Art on the walls also provided spectacular and unexpected backdrop for some of our best wedding photos. We recommend Orange Art Gallery for small to medium weddings and other functions.
Interesting gallery. Good place for a private party - 40 people Thurs night
Thanks John and bar staff at the Orange Gallery for taking care of the wedding last night! Cheers :)
Alot of amazing art under one roof... make sure you dont miss out on the basement!!!
What a hidden jem this place isIve been to a wedding, fundraiser and art show at this beautiful venue.
Wow, if you are looking for I inspiration or the perfect art work for your place I would recommend you go wander in this wonderland of art!
Great display of many artists. Staff are very knowledgeable. The building is historic and beautiful.
We hosted our wedding reception at Orange Art Gallery in November 2021, and had a wonderful experience! The venue itself is gorgeous - as a heritage building it has a lot of class and character, and the art on the walls only adds to that. Plus makes decor a little easier! We had 58 guests, including ourselves, for a sit down dinner and party, and that felt like a perfect number of people. Intimate but didnt feel cramped. Jon was extremely responsive, leaving no question unanswered (and believe me, we had a lot of them), and the bar service during the party was fantastic. The free parking was much appreciated by our guests. Would highly recommend Orange to anyone considering it for a wedding reception venue!
Was here for a wedding reception. The staff are absolutely lovely and very attentive to their guests needs. Lovely food and drink options. Cant recommend this place enough!
Heritage space displaying the best of Ottawas contemporary art scene. Stylish bar and a small terrace make for fun vernissages. The location at City Centre makes it easy to stop by Art Is In bakery or Beyond the Pale to make for a mellow snack-art-pint kind of afternoon.
this place was pretty neat. no mention of oranges after entering, but art was something they definitely did have.
Great gallery with a lot of shows, they keep art alive thank you guys!
I greatly appreciate the accommodating services offered by Orange Art Gallery. It is beyond charming as a historical venue and filled with amazing artistic talent. To top it off, the staff is always prompt and happy to answer any questions. Definitely worth checking out!
Great venue for events. Complete with catering/bar and art. 10/10
Pros: great exhibit and event place! cons: can be a little confusing on how to get there if youre walking or using public transit.
Attended a beautiful wedding with the best bride ! The bar staff were awesome and the art was fun to look at !
Attended a private event there and it was wonderful. Love the atmosphere, the art and the staff. Great little spot.
Wonderful place for an event, which is why we ended up going, for a friends wedding. It was a beautiful space with interesting artwork and a large patio for guests.
Set in a historic building that was once the paymasters headquarters for CN Rail, this is a stellar place to find well-crafted art, take classes with working artists, rent studio space or hold special events. Its location next to City Centre feels both secluded and central. The building is well cared for, and historical details respected, shop or feels like walking into a bit of history, but with interesting & eclectic contemporary art everywhere. The curator recently added a gorgeous bar and patio. If I were to get married again Id want to do it there. In any case, I love going there because every time I do theres so much interesting, thoughtful & beautiful art there.
Nice surprise! Didnt expect to find that place when I entered the place. Nice vibe, great art, no pretention. I dont know if people in ottawa know that place but Im from Montreal and this is the kind of place I like to discover around the world. The bad reputation of ottawa about being a boring and heartless city was accurate before Ive stopped there. Go head Ottawa and express yourself! This neibourhood is the future of the city for sure! Id like to know more places like this in the area, probably more things like this goin on but I just dont know them...
Nice space.....loved the variety of artwork. Very friendly and helpful bartenders.
Great venue! Had an incredible night with Artizen Kombucha raising funds for Sweet Sanctuary - animal rescue!
Not good business practice from manager. There was a piece I found I wanted to purchase and contacted the artist directly. He told me the piece was at this particular gallery and he cc’d the gallery letting them know the price we agreed to.I asked the gallery if I have the option to break into payments, as I like to pay with cash/debit card and not have credit card debt. Ingrid was very polite and said she can break into 12 monthly payments and mail the piece out after my first payment. They would store my payment method and charge my debit card on the 1st of every month.I was very happy and then the manager, Jim Hollander, said they will not do that.I was quite frustrated and responded back to inquire. This was his response-“Most people borrow from a bank, maybe you should have done this through the bank to begin with, why should we take on your credit risk. How can you expect this from a small business”.I was shocked by his horrible unprofessionalism and lack of basic customer service. His gallery is the one who first offered me to break into 12 payments. While I love this piece, they will never get a dollar from me, so sadly I can’t add this to my collection.I highly recommend shopping elsewhere.
Super eclectic artwork that is really accessible (both in terms of price and the non-intimidating atmosphere). Also a fun place for events!
I went here for a work event. The art work was super cool.
It is always with great pleasure that I go to the Orange Gallery vernissage. I enjoy my conversations with the artists, the owners and the patrons. I like to bring friends to the gallery because I love the local and the location. The City Center sure is a funky place! And of course the opportunity to see great contemporary art!! Thanks Jim and Ingrid.
Wonderful venue for an event!
My first time here... Absolutely love it. Definitely coming back! The bartenders suggestion were on point! 👌Thanks Jon!
Interesting space with a very eclectic and modern collection. Also is a great venue space for a gathering of about 40 people with seating, more without.
Easily accessible gallery with beautiful pine floor boards in an old building with a great variety of artists.
Had our wedding reception there and loved it. Beautiful venue and Jim, Ingrid and Omar are exceptional and so helpful. For a day filled with so much love and emotions (men, who never cry, could not hold it back!it was the perfect backdrop.
Attended my cousins wedding here July 7th, and the atmosphere and service was incredible. The staff were helpful, and the gallery was clean and filled with interesting art and sculptures. Definitely a destination to visit or to have hosting a special event.
I was part of an event here and loved hearing about the history of the building. Beautiful art, friendly staff, and an overall interesting part of ottawa.
Went for one of their Music Nights. It was an intimate experience with the band. The gallery is well laid out, and the basement archives contain more art than whats shown upstairs. Everything was nicely set up, great selection of art, reasonably priced bar, and the food selection was interesting and tasty.
I can only review it as a live music venue, for which it isnt great. There are not many spots for spectators, and everyone is either side stage or crammed into a narrow space at the front.
Beautiful art gallery tucked away near Little Italy. I enjoyed an excellent concert there last night. It was so unique to listen to great music while checking out some sweet art. It was like being at an incredible house party....order up on the pints next time . 😉
Nice little art gallery. The staff is super friendly and they offer wedding reception service. The service is top notch. Also it is located in a good central place in Ottawa. Plus lots of parking and I never seen a meter maid around.
We held our wedding here in September and we couldnt have asked for a better venue. Its a stunning building with incredible, historic details. Theyre always featuring talented local artists, and the owners are absolutely lovely, accommodating people.Whether youre looking at this as an event venue or just wanting to pop into a beautiful gallery, you really cant go wrong here.
Walked in on a whim but I was impressed by the art here. Its an old house with rooms full of eclectic art.
Was there for a lovely wedding - beautiful space...each room has great talented artists!
My daughter did an art class here and she absolutely loved it. Its a really great space.
Orange Art Gallery has a wide variety of interesting art to look at, the building is beautiful and the staff are friendly and willing to answer any questions you have.
Excellent art classes & teachers, very well curated, friendly owners. I highly recommend the art gallery.
