The veggie steak was pretty good! But that was about it.

Went there for a dinner. Quite of an unpleasant experience. Order a salad with dressing on the side. Salad came drenched in the dressing so that you couldn’t taste anything else of it. Poke bowl was tiny and it came with two spoons of rice and plenty of dry carrots. Really bad. Fries were drenched in Mayonnaise. The waitress with Asian descent literally threw the food on the table and was very inpatient. Terrible customer service. Would never go again

A bit overpriced. The meat is decent, and cooked nicely, the gravy is quite tasty but its overall a bit disappointing. White bread for the sauce... Fries are not good quality... It would be fine if it wasnt that expensive.

The service was excellent and the food was amazing. The steak was so good , I preferred the garlic one. Make sure you come here.

Great steak and fries, sweet potato fries is also spot on.Wouldnt mind to see some larger steaks (250gr+on the menu, to enjoy more meat and less fries, butter & bread as filler.Sitting inside also wont protect you from the smell of smokers from outside, as many sit by the door and cross draft brings it all in.

We ate tuna, ossenhaas (Baliand kipsaté. Everything was tasty, a bit spicy (we like it).The service was good enough

Great food! Very meaty. -⭐ because veggie options are very limited for dinner (two options, one of them a veggie burger). Friendly staff and nice building.

I’d been craving a vegetarian steak for so long and then I finally found this place! I was so excited to finally try it. And yes, vegetarian steak was so real, very tasty. I actually thought the kitchen made a mistake and gave me actual meat. The service and the staff however were very slow and unfriendly. Kind of a shame. If I ever want to be ignored when trying to order, or walked away from before I get the chance after the waitress tells me she’s grossed out by the fake meat, I’ll definitely come back.

Special beef dishes are delicious, you will need some breads for the souce!

I’m a big fan of the “Roode Waard “ but this time it was not as good as always. The meat was cold inside and the liver and bacon was not tasty. I’ll give them another try but for this time thumb down.

Service was great, friendly staff. The steak itself was delicious.A word of warning about the gravy, I had the sambal, and it was probably my fault for not understanding the dish, however it felt like half and half salt and oil, I felt sick afterward for eating so much oil and salt. And only had 2 pieces of bread dipped in it, didnt finish 1/4 of the gravy. I think its there for flavour and not something to be fully eaten. Would love to know where I went wrong please if you have a chance to respond.Fries were great.Drinks were delicious.Would have been nice to have had the fries or potato included for the price.

Tasty. Had the steak in the traditional gravy and it was flavorful, but definitely not cooked medium rare, as expected. More like medium/medium well which was disappointing

Top quality meat that cuts like butter and melts in your mouth. And cooked to perfection of course.Lovely and cozy vibe. The staff is absolutely the best, kind, relaxed and attentive. 100% recommend. Cant wait to be back!

Today I waited around 20min (09 pm - 22outside without the waiter coming or telling me anything! I even asked if I could order and (10min waiting). It was a bad customer experience! Considering I wasnt busy!If you dont want to wait, choose another place with a better CX.

Dont be put off by the restaurant chain tag Loetjes knows how to do a good qualty steak served in the dutch style... with slices of white bread to savour the jus/gravy! Tasty and good value.

Always great and attentive service, quality is always the same too! We were helped by four different waiters throughout the night. Although this could be confusing, we had superb service at a fast pace. Lovely location too, but get an uber! Parking is not always amazing. Bon appetit

When here with a big group of 7 people, staff were polite but a bit slow we had to ask for drinks after a while. The food was good and I personally recommend the burger or any steak, although the price is a bit high and they didnt have any of the weekly meals/drinks on the menu. We had a great time.

We had a reservation and when we arrived, we waited 5 min standing up in front of the bar without anyone coming for us. One waiter looked at us, no smile, no hello, nothing and went away…We left, obviously.

Absolutely new and fantastic experience! Type of steak in cooked fat that I have never tried before. Cooked to perfection medium rare 🤤 Accompanied by delicious fries regular or sweet potato to your liking.Cannot express enough how lovely the staff is. Very accommodating and attentive, ready to have a chat with you while taking/bringing orders.Must must try in Amsterdam 🔥🇳🇱

Service was fast and with a smile. We had an incident with one of the steaks (was well done, not medium rareand it was quickly fixed and got a round of drinks on the house. Good coordination between servers overall. Food was delicious.

Amazing food, just classic Dutch fare! The steak is amazing and a must have. The carpaccio and goat cheese are delicious starters. Unfortunately despite a reservation we had to wait a long time for a table, and then waited a longer time for the food. But the staff were very friendly!

Saturday afternoon and the clouds had covered Amsterdam. We had checked into our hotel and hit Google to find a restaurant to eat at. And trust me when I say the food and service deserves more than 5 stars. The waiter advised that the steak ordered be medium rare. And he was right. Those in the UK would class this as rare. It was perfectly cooked and rested. I took the liver bacon and onion topping. And if I am completely honest with the side of sautéed mushrooms would have made a meal in itself without the steak. The sweet potato fries with homemade garlic mayonnaise was the perfect accomplishment. We decided on a bottle of sauvignon blanc which worked so well with the meal. I would highly recommend that you walk out of the centre to this gem of a restaurant.

Pleasant Restaurant Cafe. I had a trio of fish which was very decent. Enough smoked eel and lovely Dutch shrimps. A main course of steak with bacon and chicken liver. They give a stack of bread to do the excellent gravy justice. A dessert of strawberries, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Excellent meal. The place is somewhat crowded here and there, but its ok. Staff are mostly professional.

Our experience here wasn’t great. The service could have been much better. First we waited for waiter to approach us around 10 minutes, it was not busy at all, and I needed to go inside to search for anyone to assist us and at least to provide the English menu. When we received our orders it was such a disappointment, everything was very oily (the schnitzel and French fries). The only dish we liked was carpaccio.

Had dinner here. What fantastic steaks!!! Perfectly cooked, ask for extra garlic on the steak. The salads were excellent also. Try the sticky toffee for dessert. Great ambience and lots of space for seating.

I made a very good experience at this place. The personnel is kind and the menu is great and multilingual. I tried the veggie burger which was marvellous. The price is fair and the corner outside is calm and a good place to enjoy a meal.Nevertheless we wanted to pay separately, but due to the system every table needs to pay together. We were a large group of students who pay differently (cash,debit etc.). This issue made the end of our stay quite complicated.Dont be surprised, if you eat the black veggie burger bun, your excrement will turn black, too. ;-)

Quaint restaurant with excellent steak and other great foods. Ordered Shrimp crochet and garden salad with bacon, and of course the steak.

My steak was too rare, except medium rare. Low variety in menu . The fries were good enough and big. Nice Location with a good atmosphere . We have ordered also an smoky Salomon. The prices were upper than average.

Pretty large place with plenty of seating spread out in multiple rooms. Reservation is recommended as it gets crowded for dinners. I had a hamburger with fries and the fries were better than the hamburger which is not a good sign. Soup of the day was kind of bland. Service was fast.

Nice place. Eating at the bar is a bit of a bustle but the bartender takes care of you. The prices are quite average. I had steak, onions, and fries with a couple of glasses of red wine. I chose this place off of Google reviews and it was worth the walk to this part of town.

Amazing food. I’ve been there 4 times now, and it never disappoints. The steak is delicious and cooked perfectly. The service is great. I can’t think of anything bad to say about this place. The price is good for a nice restaurant as well. We love to go here for birthdays and dinners that are causes for celebration

Food is fine but a bit over pricy. Friendly to tourists since they have menu in different languages. I tried the tanderloin Bali, which is steak soaked in chili sauce. Special but not for me.

It was just nice. Original steak is better than bali and I recommend to order some side dishes like fried onions or fries.

Mouth-watering food! The Bali steak is exquisite. Couple that with the perfectly cooked champignons(mushrooms). Very good service.
