Innovative combinations of French technique and Irish produce served in an 18th-century coach house.
We had very nice dinner!! Every dish and also the desserts very delicious. The service very professional with so great Sommelier. We really enjoyed!!
We had the best experience at one pico. The staff could not have been more accommodating and the food was delicious. We had some dietary restrictions at our table and they took great care of us. I highly recommend for a special occasion.
One of the Best Meals I have ever had and the best service I have ever Received.
Such an amazing experience. A stranger even paid for our meal as we has just got married. Food is the best in dublin. Watch your back Chapter One 😂
Food and wine cart is excellent, bit manager is not good , he thinks he is a local God! When I asked to orginised private dinner at 2nd floor and ready pay essential extra fee, he just declined because any smart reasonable answer. He just told I dont care and not gonna move the tables as my clients ordered. Look team, if you Michelin star, it us means you are not God, but your clients are everything. Never come back to this place. Too much non base ego at management stuff (((
One Pico is gem. Its on a very odd street, a sort of back alley, but dont let that put you off. I want to start by talking about the staff. They are all experienced professionals. As Dublin is struggling to get good staff, One Pico have somehow hoovered up the very best front of house staff probably in all of Ireland. They have also pulled off the same feat with the kitchen brigade. The menu is perfectly judged, in both choice and execution. The lobster tail €9 supplement was amazing. The venison so perfect I didnt want it to end. The cheesecake I would describe as post modern cheesecake, deconstructed? reimagined? or not a trianglular piece of cheesecake like you get everywhere else. However you describe it (there will be detractors, this is the internet, everyone thinks they are an expert and have a valid opinion, especially those people who think "we shouldnt listen to experts"its still the most intensely flavoured cheesecake Ive had. The blackcurrant sorbet was out of this world. Total price for one person €150 with an aperitif, sparkling water, a glass of wine, a digestif and a €9 supplement. A fair amount of money, definitely not cheap, but superb value for money. Bravo One Pico
Amazing food, warm friendly service. Love the atmosphere. It was nice day for special day. Soufflé was great, the meat and the lobster tail was so good and bread was fresh and amazing .Staff was so nice and fast too. Good place for birthday dinner.
Outstanding food and presentation just lacks French ambiance
Amazing food, everything was exquisitely prepared. Mackerel with pickles and horseradish stole the show for me.Other notable items were the cod and lam entries. Both excellent preparations. The lamb was served with a warm lamb consommé over a bed of spelt.
A truly amazing dining experience from start to finish. An understated, elegant dining room , super friendly and efficient staff. The head chef here has a talent that is second to none! Every dish is an art form in itself. Variety of food and flavours has to be experienced to be appreciated…..Bravo👏
One Pico is not just your normal restaurant,it is rather an experience that everyone should try. Their attention to detail in every aspect of your visit is incredible. Staff at One Pico are ready to tailor your personal unique experience, hence you have several booking options available, including private dining. This place is a hidden gem in busy Dublin Suburbs. The Food - you can’t call it food, because it is rather work of Art! Combination of ingredients, that you’d think you never see on a plate, creates an explosion for your taste buds. Needless to say, it was one of few times when I was smiling like an idiot while enjoying what was served to me. 10/10 One Pico has now a special place in my heart. Thank you
Great food. It is a set menu I am not so much of a dessert person but it was nice, however I would prefer if desserts were optional on a menu after a meal. I dont eat sea food and the chef accommodated and the food was still beautiful in taste in presentation and flavour.
For the price paid the food was just ok. I expected higher quality/ better taste. The salmon was lovely but very very small. The rabbit was not good - not very tasty and very tough. I would not order that again although I love rabbit. The passion fruit soufflé was wonderful. The passion fruit martini was also wonderful. I probably wouldn’t go back.
Lovely food but very slow service
Exceptional food, and service... Arnaud the sommelier is always here to make us discover new and interesting wine that never fail to deliver! A must eat at in Dublin!
This is quite honestly the most vastly overpriced, pretentious dining Ive had in Dublin. Service was poor, waited 25 mins to take starter order while they closed out earlier service. Scallop starter lacked seasoning. The fish main - truly awful. No seasoning, the carrot sauce was bland and did not accompany a fish dish at all. Sommelier added no value, given the cost of the wine and the ambiguity of the wine list. Dessert was fine.
This was our second time at One PicoOur experience was average. The breads were great, miso butter was nice.Scallop starter was tiny- 2 bites with a 5€ supplement. Tasty but tiny.Halibut main was ok. Fish was cooked well but carrots were pretty bland and the advertised roasted bone butter sauce had no flavour. The side of mash disappointing- dry and a bit bland.Passion fruit soufflé was sensational. The rum baba very good. All the food was presented beautifully.Service in general was good but when we wanted the bill we asked 3 different people and waited a long time. Overall the food was decent but not worth the price as it is quite expensive.
For value for money, there is no equal in Ireland. Delicious food. Such lovely staff, so kind and friendly and very professional. Amazing wine. I never tasted red wine like it, which is exclusive to One Pico. The chef deserves 2 Michelin stars, but then Ill never be able to get a reservation!! One Pico is a special treat. Looking forward to going again.
Fixed menu. Great food. A bit expensive. Takes a lot of time for the order to come. But generally we had a great time at this restaurant.
I went here recently with a work colleague on a Thursday afternoon. It was not too crowded and the service was excellent. We received excellent wine recommendations for all of our dishes however they do have an extensive high quality wine list if youd like to choose yourself. For starters I opted for the 16 month aged comté ravioli which was beautiful and light. My friend had the Aran Islands crab and it was equally impressive. For mains I ordered the fillet of Irish beef which was beautifully cooked and very tender. My friend ordered the Andarl pork fillet which was also cooked to perfection. For dessert we both had the passion fruit soufflé.Overall the experience was excellent. The service was great, very attentive and very helpful. The wine selection was extensive and provided great choice. Highly recommend.
Went there for birthday celebration and what a treat! The fish was one of the most tender and creamy I’ve ever had. The place was lovely and the staff made our visit super pleasant.
This restaurant has been serving French inspired food since the late 90’s and a Dublin institution. The menu is classic French with Irish touch. Shame there is so little for vegetarians and both dishes on the menu were pasta dishes. Having been to many restaurants in France you notice the huge change in menus and choices for vegetarians. You have to order all the courses up front. The wine list and cocktail list is also quite extensive albeit a bit pricey. It is quite a cosy space with nice seats and ironed white table cloths. Staff are very welcoming and efficient but not very engaging. Missing the Irish friendly touch in the service.Food is quite nice here, nothing spectacular. Food lacked a bit of seasoning but the flavors were good. I absolutely loved my soufflé for dessert and the steak was cooked to perfection. The black truffle with the entree and main was not very intense or flavorful.Overall a nice meal and I would come back here again.
My wife and I went to One Pico on a Sunday evening and it was the first time we had been out for a meal in a long time. On arrival we were seated and felt a little uncomfortable with how close a couple of other tables were. As I said we havent been out in a long time and the manager, Emily, came over and was fantastic. She listened, moved us and was completely sound about the whole thing. Really felt heard, welcome and ultimately happy. Then the food cam out and we were delighted with that too. We had the Chipper menu with the wine pairing and it was superb. Lots of things we wouldnt normally have but together they all just worked. Best thing for us for the care and attention from the staff - especially Emily, who made our night. Will totally be back again! Thanks
We ate there for our annual girls Christmas lunch. It was the best food I have had all year. Lovely warm room. Flawless seevice. The drinks were also wide ranging and was very happy to see a craft cider on the menu.
Lovely service. Fantastic food. A melody of tastes in each serving. Felt very safe during these strange times.
One of the best restaurants in Dublin and well worth a visit.Interesting food beautifully prepared and fitted to the Irish and international pallette. We ate there 3 times on a recent trip to Dublin.. We couldnt stay away !!!The set menus are really excellent and they were happy to accommodate our requests for changes. The service is superb and friendly - total professionals and a joy to see in action. The wine selection is excellent with a good selection of wines by the glass which we like. For anyone interested in a great dining experience, this is really one to add to the list. The Michelin stars are surely on the way.
Exquisite fine dining. A refined, but relaxing, atmosphere. Tastefully decorated dining room. Staff are friendly, attentive and yet maintain a polite distance
Par excellence..fully Covid compliant...we had lunch, Michelin class idyllic dishes with great complimentary wines especially Albarino & friendly service ..will be back if we can get a booking.
Modern kitchen. Very testy fresh meal. Nice served. Stuff helpful and friendly. 3 meal course €85. I had problem to find this place.I recommend this place for business party or dinner.
Sober flavors in an excellent presentation.Delicious food accompanied by excellent attention from the staff, the explanation of each dish, the kindness and the cozy atmosphere made our evening very pleasant. The best vegetarian gnocchi I have ever had and the passion fruit souffle or something exquisitely aphrodisiac.
Loved the company we were with,v but it was way over priced. Atmosphere was not great either. If there were just the two if us, it would have been completely flat. We were with our friends so it was ok.No I will not be returning .
Have been dining here for many years and was excited to return upon reopening. As always the food was delicious and service was excellent. The prices have increased which is understandable but the portion sizes have equally become very small. Particularly the veal tartare starter which was really tiny. Mains no longer come with side dishes, either included as they were last year or to order for an additional charge. Our fish mains were delicious but would have greatly benefited from some accompanying vegetables. Much of the menu has additional supplement charges which defeats the point of a set menu. Disappointed that the chocolates no longer come after your meal unless you order coffee. Especially if you order more expensive alcoholic drinks to end your meal. Its the little touches that elevate restaurants to the fine dining standard. Hopefully the small touches will be included in the future and that some side dishes will also feature on the menu again.
The food is very good. However this is a stereo typical high price and small portion place. The service should have been much better. Maybe I am in the minority because this place was full on Tuesday evening
Lovely lunch menu, very reasonable for high quality, amazing food. Staff were very pleasant and attentive, atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. Would highly recommend it and will be back again
Dined here last night, and still in a great mood because of it. Food is absolutely delicious, with attention to detail clear in every element. Service was attentive and friendly. Delicious wine as well. A real treat!
We head here for our important staff dinners and parties (we are a small team). Not once have we every been disappointed or could they have done more to look after us. The food is exceptional. The service is impeccable. The atmosphere is perfect. Its an experience dining here and we always thoroughly enjoy it.
This restaurant is a little gem. It is a lovely size, the setting and atmosphere is always relaxed and pleasant, and the food is awesome. The waiting staff are incredible - they’re the type that are always there if you need them, know everything about the food and wine, but somehow never seem to interfere with your table. Their timing is impeccable. As for the food, well it speaks for itself. I’ve never had a bad meal here. The menu is always interesting and it’s fine dining without being pretentious. The lobster bisque sauce is other worldly and you can tell their suppliers are of the highest calibre. Highly recommend.
I have been there quite a few time, One Pico is still remaining on the top of my list after 9 months of lunch.Cuisine de goût, always this little twist that makes you different.Hope you will join your two other big bro:)
Amazing restaurant in Dublin, reasonable price for what they offer. The ambiance is great, as you can actually hear yourself think.I irdered the stake and the chocolate dessert, and both were incredible!
Delicious starter and main course. Shockingly small portions and experimental desert.Starter: Ordered scallops, soft nicely marinated and grilled, juicy, fresh. However only 2-3 small pieces of scallops were served, not sufficient.Main course: Ordered beef cheek. Cooked slowly very tender and very delicious. However it is max. 150 grams total, you finish the main course in 2-3 minutes maximum. The main course is in a starter size.Desert: Citrus cheesecake. Simply not nice, too experimental. Bitter and chemical tasting citrus foam nothing special.Although the starter and the main course were delicious, I was there to dine and get full not sample tiny portions therefore 3 stars!
Good as ever. I make it a fairly regular watering hole. Its nice and quiet before 7, but gets ever more busy later on. The textures and flavours of the food are really pleasing and staff are attentive and friendly. The basic price of a pre-theatre menu is very reasonable, although it is worth splashing out if this happens to suit your pocket.
We had an amazing experience. The staff vas very attentive and friendly. The food was superb, very well presented and elaborated. We will recommend it to our friends and will definitely go back.
Excellent food with friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, and comfortable surroundings- the perfect dining experience. My dining companion said their brown bread was the best she had ever tasted. While the main courses on the a la carte menu were a bit pricey, they were absolutely delicious, especially the stuffed morels. Words can not do justice to their passionfruit souffle dessert- divine! Will definitely be returning.
Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing atmosphere. I honestly havent had food this good in Dublin in years. Quite possibly the best dining experience Ive had in the city ever. Definitely pricey, but worth it if you really want a decent meal and to be waited on French style. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Good restaurant but... Nice fine dining restaurant, with prices in range of their target (55 euro for a three courses dinner). While I cannot complain about the food (both the pingeon and the meat were extremely good, as well as the desserts), I have some comments on the service. We ordered two single glasses of Bordeaux (13 euro each), and the staff brought the glasses from another room - they didnt pour the wine in front of us, and we never seen the bottle. Same for an expensive whiskey (If memory serves me well, a 13.5 euro one). This is quite unacceptable in a restaurant where a member of the staff reprised me for pouring the water by myself.
Our original plan is to have dinner in the GreenHouse but they were fully booked, so the receptionist there suggested One Pico. We are happy to have taken his suggestion because we had a great time in this restaurant. The location is hidden but perfectly located next to Q-Park Dawson Street (literally 10 meters away, which is perfect if you are driving in for dinner). The ambiance is elegant and boutiquish. The service was excellent and the food came quickly. I recommend the Scalop bisque for starter, the stone bass for main and the honeycomb for desert. Overall the the flavours are not adventurous, but the quality is excellent. If you are looking to having a high end solid meal that is safe (without the risk of crazy flavours), this is the place to go to.
Food looks great, however it did not taste great. Lamb was very hard to chew, salmon was kinda tasteless. Foiregras was good. Service was good. Wish main course was good as well. Crowd was very uppity, lots of Americans.
Fantastic food, great service without being overbearing. Nice wine choices from €32 upwards per bottle. Nice selection by the glass also!Lovely ambience at One Pico, relaxing decor. Lovely spot for a special occasion, quiet meal or friendly get together. We were particularly impressed with the milk fed veal as mains. Ravioli starter were insanely tasty and tasted like more!Milk and honey desert unusual but delicious. Soufflé cooked to perfection but a little heavy after two courses.
Fantastic food and service at One Pico. Reservations were relatively easy enough to secure, but youll want to book at least a couple of days in advance just in case.
Top quality food -- delicious and creative. Plating is beautiful and chairs and atmosphere are comfortable and clean. Service was impeccable and attentive, yet not intrusive. Everything went smoothly and nothing but brilliant food bite after bite. Small portions, but after the three course deal, plus bread and complimentary truffles, was completely full. Highly recommend the duck with foie gras (I normally dislike foie gras but this one was grilled (?I believe which gave it a pleasant taste).
