Brick-accented coffee bar offering house-roasted beans, local pastries & weekend brewing workshops.
Great fresh roasted beans with a lot of Central and South American options. Espresso drinks on point and not too much milk.
Well brewed coffee and a cool space. They have cuppings on the weekend and barista instruction workshops; definitely want to come back for one of those!
Ordered Two drinks which are fantastic but the barista handing off the drinks ignored me twice when I thanked her for the drinks. Two separate instances. Very rude.
Delicious coffee! The toasted coconut iced latte with almond milk was fantastic! Thank you!
I enjoyed the tomato basil scone and the honey latte was perfect in regards to sweetness. Nice place for a quick bite to eat and/or coffee if youre exploring the downtown area.
Very pleasant independent coffee shop right in downtown Columbus in the short north shopping and entertainment district. Stylish interior with exposed brick and an industrial feel with a variety of seating options including counters and tables. Very good coffee and a selection of pastries and breakfast items. Staff is friendly.
Used to be a good cafe. Not sure what happened. I think maybe they loved kovedz too much for too long? Not sure, but hopefully its back to its lovely cafe roots.
Only coffee shop on this side of high street. Coffee is actually really good. Tough part is the employees arent friendly at all, almost as if they dont even want you there. Made it a priority to be overly nice at this point just to humor myself, still get no love back.
A bit pricey, but hands down the best espresso in Cbus.
I frequent the Franklinton location, but this was my first time to the short north location. I will say that if youre traveling to either, I would still choose the Franklinton location, parking is easier and they make food there, really, really good food. They have only a small selection of pastries at this location.Being in the Short North, theres a lot around if youre trying to go to a few places, but parking is a pain if you just want a coffee. I had a shot of espresso and a chocolate muffin. Espresso was good, if not a touch sour. I had to get the Method espresso as the single origin was not dialed in. I did appreciate them letting me know this and not just serving a bad shot though. The chocolate muffin tasted good, but was dry.The best part about this location is that it is where they do their coffee education. I attended a cupping lead by Corey and it was a great experience. It was my first cupping and interesting to see the process. The coffees were mostly great or at least very interesting.I still believe one line has the best coffee in the city and highly recommend attending a cupping or class here. For coffee and food, I still prefer the Franklinton location.
What a great find! I loved the atmosphere of this coffee shop. I ordered the maple iced latte and it was amazing! It had just the right amount of sweetness. I usually have to put extra sugar when I order coffee from other places, but not this one! I never drank a latte so fast!
Great barista and clientel who wanted to geek over book recommendations. Power outlets to recharge electronics.
Best “modern” speciality coffee roaster I’ve found in Columbus thus far. Good, reasonably priced selection of beans from light to dark. Helpful employees.
Delicious coffee! We drank it so fast we didnt get to take a picture. We got the honey latte and the maple latte with oat milk and it was fantastic.
Quick service, great ambience and great tasting latte. I got the honey latte with oat milk and it was very good. Bought two coffee beans and looking forward to trying them when I get home! Highly recommend.
The coffee was good and the staff friendly, but the pastries were so dry I nearly choked. I had a cheddar scone and chocolate muffin, both pretty bad. The furniture was utilitarian and very geared for getting people in and out, not comfortable for staying a while.
Nice place. I like their lattes and they usually have some interesting light roasts that my partner (who drinks coffee blackenjoys. Ill be excited when they are able to bring back the cupping labs. Theyre also easy to get in contact with.
What a great experience! I have just started my journey in quality coffee. The staff was amazingly helpful explaining the types of roasts and how to get the most of the coffee at home. Highly recommended and will definitely stop again!
One-line is a great place for coffee! The Baristas are super friendly, and helpful with the menu. There always seems to be room for studying, or room to sit down and chat with others.
The honey latte was excellent! The blueberry scone, not so much. It somehow tasted both stale and of raw dough, with little blueberry. So Id stear clear of the baked goods, but recommend the coffee for sure.
Do yourself a favor and get the maple latte. This place is really great.
Good tasting espresso, but thin crema. I get better crema on my Rancilio machine making espresso at home. I was also annoyed that I had to teach the cashier what a ristretto was in order to get the shot I desired. Otherwise, the kyoto cold brews were quite good. Would be better if management trained staff about esoteric drinks like ristrettos, lungos, long blacks, and flat whites. Bonus if espressos are served with a side of sparkling water to clean the palate.
Great drip coffee and the chocolate almond scone was really, really good. Really.
Wouldn’t serve me because I didn’t have a mask on me. My boyfriend and I were traveling and decided to stop and support local business rather than get Starbucks. The barista was rude. There were 2 men i. there without masks on. you are all breathing the same air as them too. Sheeple.
Most coffee shops serve barely passable brews that are easily bested with just a tiny bit of effort at home. I went to one line twice, and both times left absolutely stunned. Had the single origin (a Mexicanboth times. Stunningly sweet with a sour roll over the tongue. Umami and plum on the way down. Just a perfect cup. These guys are the real deal. Drink without hesitation.
For being so curated and thoughtful with different single origin coffees that you would think theyd be more expensive. We got two absolutely delicious central American pour overs for $6 and change, and it was a great place to be. Skilled and thoughtful staff, welcoming environment, great coffee. Would make a point to come back here when Im in town.
Unique coffee shop that offers craft coffee options. It’s a very chill place to get some work done. Seems like a very safe space for all types of personalities. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It’s a great place to get your fancy coffee fix if you’re in town.
Love every bit of this place. #1 place, by far, in Columbus, for the best single origin espresso, pour over, incredible tea selection, and local fresh donuts if youre in the mood. Cant recommend this place highly enough!
Really good coffee in the Short North. The staff is friendly and get orders out quickly, which I appreciate on short lunch breaks. I enjoy a classic cold brew or a London Fog. The sun dried tomato scone was also very tasty.
What would it be if we have a better experience in local coffee store than a franchise; I think we never know. Waited a half hour for a small coffee, they didnt ask the size, and they were not careful.
Always a different beam from around the world. Super quick and they let you pour your own cream. Cant ask for more.
An adorable and quaint coffee shop in downtown Columbus. The signature Milligan’s maple latte was amazing and extremely flavorful! Coffee cake was soft, crumbly and a delicious pair to my latte. The staff was very friendly, hard working and made my stop here pleasant! I will absolutely come back again!
Good coffee and good COVID safety precautions, I come here whenever I’m in Columbus.
Solid coffee spot. Because of covid, the set up isn’t ideal. It seems like it’d be a great spot to hang out during normal times though. Good spro. Friendly baristas.
I hope all of you find the time to read this. Thank you.As a new coffee drinker of course I’m trying many roasters and shops around and in Columbus. One Line will always stand out and has moved to the top of my charts. The coffee is phenomenal, but the service, care and support is even greater. The cleanliness of the shop; the warmth of the staff; the selection of beans; merchandise and apparel is well thought out, and at a very fair price point. It’s not my intention to be patronizing, but most of us take a sip of coffee and say, “wow that’s good”, but I challenge you to think of the entire process from the origin source to the retail shop. Roasters/shops like One Line care about their product, and don’t pump it out with ONLY the intentions of high-volume- like some long lined corporate chains. This is why quality and taste from a true roaster hales triumphant in the bean battle. It’s why you wake up early to swoop on a parking spot for a quick cup before work. It makes you wanna brew at home, because you now have the main ingredient to create something consistently pleasing. One Line has many options in store and online. If you’d like to brew at home order bags. If you’d like to stop in the shop when you’re in the area you have a vast variety of drink and brew options.Everything about One line is extremely likable and in fact even LOVABLE.
There are many good coffee shops in Columbus, but by far, one line is my favorite. The coffee is the best in the city imo especially if you’re into drinking coffee straight. Many of their coffee beans have an aromatic quality to them, and the taste is usually complex enough to where you will find multiple flavor profiles. The environment of the short north location is also cozy and a great place to study or meet up with friends or colleagues.Anytime my family and/or friends visit for the first time, I like to take them on both the Columbus ale trail and the coffee trail. Every member always choose one line as their favorite coffee shop.
The Kyoto cold brew was mind-blowing! Great coffee, and a nice place to sit solo and work.
They did a fantastic single origin espresso; and the cappuccino was to par. Would recommend to any third wave coffee drinker.
Absolutely amazing coffee!! I had a cold brew coffee that came out of the picture I posted. I dont know what its called but it literally tastes amazing! Definitely from the coffee gods!! So so good! Dont ever think of going to Starbucks again! The people were friendly and this coffee shop is in a fun area of Columbus. I highly recommend coming here and enjoying a glass of cold brew! Cannot wait to go back and get me some amazing cold brew coffee!! 😋😎
Great local coffee shop within walking distance from campus. Seasonal lattes are always worth checking in for.
Decided to try something new. Was not disappointed coffee was very well brewed. The baked goods were fresh The people were polite and sweet. Definitely will have to swing back by.
I cant even believe Im writing this review. I guess I had high expectations?I will say the croissants were possibly the best croissants Ive ever had, and I like the atmosphere, so three stars for that. I did really like the decor as well :)My espresso drink tasted somehow burnt and diluted at the same time. Even the standard latte was not good. We went there before 8am, when no other small coffee shop in the city was open, so we were grateful for their hours. The baristas were still asleep, though.Based on their reputation and other reviews, this must have been a fluke.
My favorite coffee shop after spending 10+ years exploring Columbus! This place is the best, no question. They know their stuff and they only but good beans. They consistently have their espresso blend in the bar as well as two single origins of you want to mix it up. They also have wonderful cold Brew and 3 to 4 options for pour overs. A few of these guys compete regionally and have made it to Nationals for Brewers Cup. Worth the wait when there is a line. This isnt Starbucks though, they dont have all the syrups, but if youre used to lattes with a lot of syrup, I highly recommend trying their mocha or their honey latte.... Still give them a try.
Stopped in for a few moments to chat with an old friend, was a quality environment and very clean on the inside. I had their mocha, and was some of the best Ive ever had here in Columbus. I would highly recommend this spot!
The honey latte is fantastic here! I love the vibe and the openness of this place. Plus, the service is excellent and the people are so nice!
The best coffee place in Columbus and in my top ten all time .Their beans are fresh and always perfectly roasted. Super friendly staff that can answer any questions you may have. They have a decent amount of seating and some standing tables. You can get pretty much any coffee or espresso drinks. Its a warm, cozy place to just sit and have a coffee and relax.
Had another great drink from here. The first time I had an espresso, which was so rich and delicious. The second time I had a flat white, equally good (and similar totheir cappuccinos. They sure know a lot about coffee! Staff is so friendly and fun. Very professional as well. Will definitely be back again the next time Im visiting the Short North.
Great selection and helpful staff. Great place for a quick espresso or an extended study break 😅
Great coffee, great atmosphere, friendly employees, and in the heart of the lovely Short North district. We stopped here while getting to know the city via the Columbus Coffee Trail and of all our stops, thought this one was the least pretentious, if thats useful info for anyone...
This isnt the place to go if youre looking for sugary-sweet Starbucks knock-off drinks. This is where you go when you want to enjoy coffee in its purest forms. The espresso drinks are quality, but the shining stars are always their rotating roasts from around the world. No cream or sugar needed. Get a pourover and let your taste buds and synapses celebrate.
