One Hot Grill in Saint George

So this isnt a recent review. It is a LEGENDARY Sandwhich story... Some years ago we went to this place and I remember we wanted to try several sandwhiches and burgers and fries with the kids and had the hit the road at the time... we got all the food and hit the road after some great conversation with the owner of this place. As I was driving I didnt get a chance to eat my sandwhich until we were on the road for well over an hour. I think it was the Philly. I was expecting it to be kind of yuck after sitting for an hour just wrapped up... OH NO...This was easily the best dang thing I have ever eaten in a car and one of the best sandwhiches I have every eaten. Something about letting all that meat and bread and cheese and peppers rest combined into a glorious FEAST. Credit One Hot Grill. It was a testament to their ingredients and flavor combinations. Leaving this review now as I remembered this place and recommended it to someone that was going to ST George this weekend. I see a few negative reviews from this or that person over the years mostly for strange hours or being closed out early etc. What I equivilate this place to is if your Dad or Uncle or Aunt that just happened to make killer burgers and sandwhiches was in there cooking individually for you. They dont have a lot of employees and that keeps the quality HIGH! Its the kind of place you should certainly eat at once or twice or more but its the kind of place that doesnt need huge crowds all the time and almost would be a shame if it drew too huge of crowds as the quality of the place is so stellar. So go... be patient... go again if you have to... Its worth it.

Decent food. Small portions. Cheap kids meals. Rude cashier. Asked questions and she didn’t answer. Also, mustard does NOT belong on Reuben sandwiches. Yuck!

I am a born and raised Utah boy and naturally I have a ravenous craving for some FRY SAUCE. This is the spot. Quality burgers and some of the best fries in town. It’s a small shop and only a couple workers at a time so your order could take a while if it’s busy, but it’s worth it!

We were very excited to try it. We love supporting small and family owned.But this was pretty disappointing. The cashier was rude and short with us.Google shows the price as ‘$’ that’s because none of the meals come with fries. A side of fries is $6 on top of the average price of a meal so it adds up fast.Their soda comes out warm, and their ice machine doesn’t work.The meat also had an odd taste. Both the Hamburger and hot dog we got had funky tasting meat.Hours were shown until 3.They closed at 2:30.Their outdoor seating does not have a garbage can.

I ate lunch at One Hot Grill. This place specializes in a variety of specialty hot dogs, and by the line I waited in they seemed amazing. I opted for the fish and chips because a good fish and chips is just hard to come by. I was thoroughly impressed. I received 2 fresh cod fillets that were batter and crisped perfectly. The fries were superb, hot and crispy until the last bite. I recommend this place for a great lunch stop. You may want to get there early, they were so popular they ran out of food early. They usually are open 11am-3pm but stopped serving at 2pm when I was there.

We make sure to stop here everytime we are in St. George with our kids. This time we brought along the entire family (11people). Only two people working the shop but the food came out fast and as perfect as always. Happy we could share our favorite burger spot with everyone. We will be back.

Really good food and some of the best breaded fries around. Great local restaurant that you cant find anywhere else.

Yummy Local Burgers and the Fries are done the way they should be , CRISPY!!! The One Hot Burger was pretty darn good, although I like my jalapeños spicy, but cant blame anything other than the pepper in my burger. Next time Ill have to get the Philly Cheese Steak as it looked AMAZING. Nice Staff, and the food came Fast!!! Will be back for sure!

Its okay. Stick to your ribs artery clogging kind of menu.Not the best value proposition or flavor profile.Popular with locals

The meat on the burger is very fresh. You know it’s good when you eat the burger under 60 seconds! And the fries are the best I have ever had. I wonder why they are not open for more time because I think it’s delicious! Highly recommend

This is some seriously good food! I went with 7 people and we all had very delicious food! The flavor combos are unique and the fries are super good!!! We’ll definitely be back!

Both of our burgers were mushy and mine was suppose to have green chili. Instead it had bad guacamole. The soda fountain was out of coke.

For such a tiny place it has amazing food and good selection of burgers, salads and hot dogs. I stop for lunch whenever I can and always try something new on the menu. Excellent quality, good prices and fast service. Yum,! Stop in when youre near Main Street and Tabernacle.

Only 1 employee working... Taking orders, cooking food, enjoying garbage cans...All WITHOUT EVER CHANGING HER GLOVES!!!!Only person working was extremely grumpy, never smiled.Walk up to the counter to order and she just stands there .. wheres the "Hi, what can I get for you today?"I will never be back

I had wanted to visit this place for some time. Based on reviews, i thought it would be a great experience. First thing I noticed when I walked in was how sticky the floors were. Not just a poor clean up of a spilled drink, the entire floor, from door to counter was sticky.It took several minutes for us to be helped even though there were only two customers ahead of us still waiting for food. The woman at the counter was not friendly at all, but I was there for the food, not the smiles.It took over half an hour for our food, although there were only two employees working at the time.When our food arrived we were missing our fries, I went to the counter to get them and it took several minutes to be acknowledged. It was getting busier by then, but not even, "Ill be right with you", from the unsmiling woman to myself or the others that were waiting.I ordered the Philly Cheese steak and onion rings. My daughter ordered the BLT and fries for herself and the grilled cheese for my grandson.My Philly bun was close to stale and very dry, the meat was burnt, actually burnt black. There was very little peppers, onions or cheese. Very few onion rings for the price, they were just ok, nothing special.My daughter had the same opinion of her BLT-ok, nothing special. The fries were basic as well.My grandsons grilled cheese was just your basic American cheese, but it was on extra thick bread. That would be fine with more cheese and if it was not made for a childrens menu item, too thick for a kid to get his mouth around.Overall:Atmosphere-Nothing specialService-PoorFood-Poor to averageCleanliness-PoorI dont see myself returning.

Double patty teriyaki burger and double patty Texas burger the meat itself could use just a bit more seasoning it tasted a little bland I guess you won’t notice that if you get the single patty but fresh veggies on your patty the bacon tasted great they use shredded cheese which also tasted great nice and gooey the French fries could be better though a bit on the pricey side but definitely a great alternative if your bored with places such McDonald’s Burger King Wendy’s Carl’s Jr. Five guys etc

Brilliant Chicago style food. I got the Italian Stallion and it was amazing. The fries were top notch.

I had a BLT dog and it was perfect for a hot summer day. Free refills self serve sodas are ways nice too! And the A/C worked great! Lots of places that were my favorites in the Spring now have broken A/C and that is not fun.

Awesome food and a mom and pop charm thats hard to find! We ordered burgers and fries and you could tell that no one told the owner/cook how to make them but him. The food was great and the service was simple, awesome spot for a homemade burger.

I typically dont leave reviews but thought id make an exception due to our frustrating experience. Food may be great but we never had the opportunity to try it. Drove across town twice to try their philly cheese steak sandwich. The first time was at around 5:00 only to find out that they were only open from 11:00-3:00. Went back a couple of days later at 2:30, went inside where there were patrons eating, only to be told that they were closed because "they had received a large order". Based on most of the reviews Ive read, they have good food. But so do a lot of other restaurants in town and in the future I think Ill give one them a try. I highly recommend calling before you go rather than just showing up, even if it is within normal advertised business hours. They dont seem to stick to those advertised hours.

Ivy, Donalee and Dale really delivered. After hearing about the burger scene in St. George; One Hot Grill was on top. What got me the most was the texture of the burger; it was as if I spent less than $10 on a gourmet meal!

Easily one of my favorite hamburger joints anywhere! I’ve had their burgers, their fries, and their cheese steak, all fantastic. Their drink selection is lacking, but who cares. They are busy at lunch time, and very slow, but it is well worth your wait. Plan about $10 a person give or take.

For a small hot dog and burger joint its a bomb place to eat my friend ate a Chicago dog and he said it tasted fantastic. Great little place to eat the burger was cooked perfectly.

Earned their spot at the top of the burger joints in Utah. The teriyaki bacon burger is amazing. Has a sweet and spicy teriyaki sauce, really nice.A little slow on service because it is a 2 person show, but worth the wait.

In the words of my 8 year old “Omg I have NEVER had a hot dog this good. They must have the best reviews in town. We need to go back.” (About the LA Dog..,And “If I had to choose fries and dip to eat for the rest of my life, it would be these.” (Regular fries and fry sauce - seriously tho. The combo is magic.)

I had the Ruben and It was wonderful!!! A little on the salty side but other than that it was amazing!! The sweet potato fries were amazing also. We will definitely add this place to our list!!

This place is so amazing! Great prices. Great service. Even better food! I would say that their burgers and fries far outmatch Red Robbin(Red Robbin is still good). The owners are so sweet and very personable. Ihighly recommend this restaurant.❤

Good selection of hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches and salads. The Garlic Bleu cheese burger had great taste. The sweet potato drys were cooked perfect, crispy on outside, soft inside. Had to wait a few minutes to get order in, but they are busy preparing food, so what do you expect. Worth the wait and price, which is more than reasonable.

Best burger in town. I love going to this local grill across the street from the Tabernacle. The food is home-made fresh and the service is always enjoyable. My personal favorite is the Italian Beef Sandwich. Comes with fries and a drink. Cant wait to go back again!!

Disappointing. Place was closed. Nothing on door or window. Saw another patron grab the door and found it locked.News flash, not everyone is on fb. News flash #2, your response could have been a little discrete. Doctors appointment maybe. News flash #3, it takes a day before prep for what you had done. A simple sign on a piece of paper would have let your days customers know. I hope everything is OK with the test outcome. The menu selection is huge for a place of this size.My wife and I both had a Volcano Burger. Taste was very good and burger was filling. Prices were pretty good for all you get. We will be going back and will recommend this place to friends and family.

A delicious new hole-in-the wall. We had the bacon blue cheese burger. The chef/proprietor recommended it. Great choice because it was delicious. But, be sure to order extra fry sauce. One cup doesnt make it through an entire side of fries.

I had the double cheeseburger and let me tell you, this was quite the double cheeseburger. The buns are amazing and different than any other burger place. Their homemade fry sauce is also very unique. I will be coming back more often! They are very kind and willing to go above and beyond with their service!

The pastrami bacon sandwich is the best I have ever eaten. The fries taste great. The owners cook the food, take the orders and everything else. The are very personable. My favorite place to go out and eat after a stressful week at work.

We tried the Volcano Burger and the Queso Burger and we werent disappointed. The bread was so soft and flavorful that I couldve feasted on the bread alone. The burgers were juicy and big. The fries were crispy and came with an awesome fry sauce. The price was also great. We spent about $20 for 2 people and it was definitely worth it.

Best pulled pork sandwich Ive had! Fries were amazing. Took a good amount of time to get the food, but honestly it was worth the wait since you knew it was coming out fresh and hot. Cant say enough good things!

Google is not lying, this place is freaking amazing! The one hot burger and the Asian chicken salad was some of the best food Ive ever had.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food here. I ate the One Hot Burger which wasnt too hot, but definitely had some kick. The fries are quite good. Overall, it seemed my wife and kids also enjoyed their food. The one complaint I have is their process. The owner took our order, but also went back to help cook it, so the line got long and people waited a long time to order and then again to receive their meal. Im not sure if they were just short-handed the day I went or if this is a regular problem, but it was a turn-off. Great food though!

Small, local place with life-changing french fries and amazing hamburgers. We had one of the off menu hamburgers, and it was perfectly cooked on a delicious bun. We also tried deep fried zucchini and mushrooms that were served with a yummy tangy sauce. Overall a fantastic meal.

Such a great place to eat! Some of the best fries Ive ever had are here! The service is good and we were taken care of quickly. I got the Texas burger and it was a masterpiece! My wife got a philly cheese steak and thought the same. A great place to eat and enjoy yourself. They close at 5 though, so its best to get there for lunch.

Chimi Dog is crazy good. I tried the Schnitzel last visit and it blew my socks off! Definitely a good hearty lunch stop. Cheesesteak is great too.

We always make sure to schedule our drives down to Vegas in a way that we can stop at One Hot Grill. It is awesome. Our favorite is the Garlic Bacon Bleu burger!

Best damn food in town. The Burgers are the best I have ever had! He does not make a bad Burger that is for damn sure! Me and my buddies go there almost every day for lunch from work. I got them addicted. I wish I could give them more stars. Sometimes the wait is a little long but dear God its worth the wait makes everything fresh.

Let me start of by saying it is good food, the Texas burger I had was excellent, so no disappointments there. Fries are great!The customer service was awful. The cashier girl seemed high as a kite. Didnt know what came on any burger, not friendly, and out of it. If the service matched the food i would give it 5 stars. Now I am in no hurry to come back.

1 Hot Grill has great service, exceptional hamburgers and hot dogs! This time I got a Louisiana hamburger. Folks, this wont disappoint. Also, Im a snooty fry connoisseur, their fries are at the top of my list. I would go their just to get fries, but clearly this would be impossible because a hot dog or burger would be irresistible. I cant wait to go back.

Excellent!Called our order in and picked it up quick!Try the "One Hot Fries" The jalapenos were actually hot and fresh! Something I havent even found in the plethora of Mexican restaurants in ST.GOne Hot Corn Dog was great (I recommend you eat it right away or get the Chili and Cheese on the side.Waited till I got back to eat it and the corn bread was a little soggy from the 15 minute trip.My Friend had the Italian Stallion and said "its the best sandwich Ive had in St George"
