30 Little Horton Ln, Bradford BD5 0AL, Bradford
Buzzing Indian restaurant with white linen and smart decor, offering set meal and early bird deals.
Costly and dont get much for your money. You buy a curry but have to pay extra for the rice etc. Food tastes great though and staff very friendly.
What’s happened to this place it looks like it’s closed down for a while now it’s a shame was one of my favourites back in the days
Arrived here for a meal tonight and it looks as if it has closed down (I hope not.Doors and windows were all closed and no lights on anywhere.
Great meal with a nice ambience. Friendly helpful staff. Plenty of room around our table.
Shocking experience at Christmas time when we waited 90 minutes for starters and I found a large thick black curly hair in my kebab. No apology from the staff when they were informed. It was complete chaos and we were clearly not a priority when there seemed to be a large party going on upstairs. Won’t go back. Other customers seemed to be making complaints as they left the premises.
A one great restaurant has greatly declined. We phoned ahead for a table for 8. When we arrived they couldnt find the booking and we felt like they didnt want us there. We were rushed into ordering and the food that arrived was mediocre at best. Then to end the evening we were told we had to pay in cash (as he needed to pay someone). One of the team left looking for an ATM at 11 at night. We will look elsewhere next time.
Very good food, service was brilliant. I just wanted to give the floors a good clean. But cant fault the food at all. Great value for money. Portion sizes were just right
1 word for it Outstanding.. the service was realy realy good but the food was amazing we had tawa for 2 it was for 4 people the portions are huge.. will defo be returning..
No drinks license currently along with most / all Asian restaurants in centre of Bradford. Leaves just Mamma mia; Tres Marias Filipino (both good), hotels & chains.
First visit here the other night. Food was amazing - myself and partner tried something different off the specials menu - best curry ever! Staff were great too, really good service. Thanks guys, looking forward to going back!
Went here last evening with my son and partner. It’s was lovely the food we had was beautiful and the staff was really nice. It was the first time for us but it won’t be the last. Couldn’t finish our meal so brought it home with us.
Went down today after work. Rang up and the brother on the phone told us that hed have the food made nice and hot for when we arrive. On arrival the waiter greeted us.we had the tawa to share between 4 and honesty it was so nice and fresh. It was mix of curries and starters. Brother Harris and Uncle big shout out to u guys for making our meal very enjoyable and for staying open after closed. Would definitely recommend
Seen disgusting things happening at this restaurant. Very un-hygienic. The owner has no clue whats going on as his always drunk and has no care for the customers. As for the manager, she seemed a little confused as to which order mine was. This restaurant got 1/5* review on the food hygiene rating as shows on Bradford local news front page.. Not supprised whatsoever! Will never be coming here again.
Lovely food and great service. Good size portions and standard price for the type of restaurant / food.Tables nicely distanced for social distancing too, very hygienic and good parking. Oh and the strawberry hand wash in the ladies smelled amazing!
Staff were grate were really welcoming! The Decor is nice too, main course was beautiful absolutely loved it, wouldve given it 5 stars but I wasnt entirely happy with the starters, lamb chops and fish masala was cooked beautifully but my chicken tikka, sheek kebab and chicken wings were over done too hard to eat.Would definitely come down again, but just mention for freshly prepared starters.
Our favourite restaurant in Bradford. First visit since Covid-19 restrictions lifted. It was great to be back! As usual, the service and food were excellent! thanks to all for "hanging on in there"!
Fantastic food, superb service great atmosphere all delivered by Harris and his colleagues. Our first visit but definitely not our last. Thank you to all who helped create this wonderful restaurant.Wafaa, Dawood, Adam and Omar.
Opted to go dine here for convenience and not having to travel elsewhere for shisha (even called before going into be told after our food, that there is a long wait for the shisha as they dont have enough, was not convenient after all!
Fantastic service and food was great. Lovely outdoor eating area and kept very clean. Cannot fault anything tbh. Will be dining again more often!
I loved everything about this restaurant esp the fact they did sheesha the food was gorgeous the staff were fantastic n the decor is spot on defo defo coming back here
The Chef deliberately put loads of salt In my curry , these folks who take orders from workers of iniquity think that theyre not gonna have to answer to God on Judgement day for participating in evil, well I cant wait for that day to come. Wont be ordering again.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL place! Interior is very Classy and Elegant with a few dedicated Parking Spaces Outside. We were greeted by a Friendly Staff Member and taken to our Seat. There was a well Stocked Bar (we Opted for Lagers!). The tables were Clean and Set out impressively. We Ordered Starters (Shown in the Photographwhich were DIVINE! and then a Main and Peshwari Naan. Could not Fault any Aspect of our Experience. We even managed to find a Groupon Voucher!
Open for takeaway only. Service is still very good. We collected our food but I believe they also deliver. The food is just as good as always, so give it a go.
Visited with family and it was a great place. Sanitizer is at the entrance and someone will check temperature before you enter. Nice clean environment and quite spacious. Felt very safe. Food was really nice too, not like other standard curry places. Staff are really friendly. Will recommend to visit this place.
A nice restaurant. Clean, bright, nice decor and furnishings, very attentive and polite staff. Food/menu/taste was not unique and not outstanding but not bad though and good effort all round. Would definitely recommend!
Had many currys over the years in Bradford. Still come here I enjoy food and the service. Not only that taste and real deal fresh and yummy nan so fancy real deal pop in enjoy a variety of currys enjoy 👍🏿
So its true......... you do have to go to Bradford for the best curries. I had Chicken Haryali with added spinach. One of the best ever! The restaurant decor is modern and attractive and the service excellent.
I call this unique restaurant once a month since I like the good mood that is outline this place. The staff is extremely loving and professional. The service is remarkablywonderfully rapid. Needless to say, the food they cook is highly distinguished. I frequent more than once and I was always pleased. The payment is reasobable. I highly recommend this restaurant to to everybody.
From being a twice-a-week regular here 15 years ago to once-a-year now... were still treated like we were last in just a few days ago. Friendly service and excellent food. King Prawn Jingha Lasooni is incredible. Well worth a visit... particularly pre-or-post night out in Bradford. Highly recommended!
This place has been amazing over the years, I really do not want to give them a bad review but I feel I have to, ordered a single popadom and my main of fish curry and had the popadom delivered very quickly and starting eating immediately afterwards, it a single popadom and before getting halfway through it my curry was delivered (more like dumpedto my table, popadom moves out of the way mid bite, nothing like being rushed to spoil your meal, the fish curry tasted like I was licking rusty steel so I poured the mango sauce from the popadom dips into it in order for me to be able to eat it. Sorry OK but it is really not OK
Main course was nice, starter ok, nice place inside, decent priced, great deal on Groupon. Was relatively quiet when we went Sunday evening. Car parking was confusing to get to but they have their own parking spots
Not bad food used groupon voucher so reasonable priced. Nice seating inside staff really friendly, bar serving alcohol, car par outside free for customers
Insane starter with sizzling fried onions that smoke when theyre being brought to the table! Curries, rice and sides are also incredible. Be warned...... Make sure your stomach is completely empty- youll be stuffed by the time you leave!
I am not the slightest bit local by any stretch of the imagination, but I was in Bradford yesterday and having been here once before, I opted for here again.Although we were very late, they were prepared to serve us.The vegetarian options are fabulous, the service excellent. Oh, and they do the best mango lassi. Ever. Its had a makeover since my last visit too. Highly recommended.
We have dined here a couple of times. The first was quite tasty but the second was not so much, quite bland. We felt quite rushed as soon as we arrived, I would understand if we staggered in late, but we did not. We asked for poppadoms but was told "No, there is no point, the food will be out straight away!" I like to go out to enjoy a meal, not rushed.Speaking of rushing, we will not be rushing to come back in any time soon.
Good old Omar Khans! I have been here 3 times this year so far since its location makes it a perfect companion before going to the Alhambra theatre. I always enjoy the good here and the service from their staff in attentive. My top tip - £12 bottle of House Red. Its not spectacular, but its a nice price for a restaurant.
We went for a Sunday lunch and found the venue to be light and clean. The staff where knowledgeable and confident in their knowledge of the menu and spot on with their recommendations of the food. The food was superb and the Tiger on tap was most welcome. Highly recommended
Great food, great value, great city centre location and great service 😋
Had the buffet meal with 15 others in our group. Lovely food. Left feeling full. Attentive staff that didnt push us out of the door when wed finished.
Nice food. There were about 16 of use and they got all the food out in a wonderful timely manor. Staff were friendly and very accommodating - esp to my friend who was allergic to coriander. Would recommend.
Went yesterday and we were very disappointed.3 meals, all bad.1 person ordered the large mixed grill, with a sauce on the side. Was given the starter size portion and the sauce tasted watered down.1 person ordered a madras that was so hot it took the 3 of us to share it and we could not, and I eat vindaloos often. The last persons meal asked for it to be served with a hot sauce and it was barely a medium sauce. And the service was poor, too. Not once asked if everything was OK, all they asked was for the order and then to pay. They never even said goodbye.
Decent quality food, but one big issue with the service on my visit this evening. The bill came to £17.90, which was OK, and the waiter asked everyone if they could *please* pay by cash. I have no idea why, and this caused some issues with the table next to me.My problem was that, having paid with 2x £10 notes, I dutifully waited for the waited to return with my change. I was going to offer a tip. However, the waiter never appeared with my owing £2.10, and I was forced to ask the bar staff for it as I left. They reluctantly let me have the balance and, needless to say, I did not proffer a tip.Was this deliberate? From the attitude of the waiter and staff, Im inclined to think so.This failure to look after paying customers is very disappointing, and I for one will most certainly not be returning. There are plenty of other excellent Asian restaurants around, the staff of which are more genuinely pleased to offer excellent service.
Good quality home cooked curries.Cobra on tap and fully licensed.Chicken haryali is lovely and so too is the jingha khas.Ideal place if you want a curry before or after the Theatre.Or if you fancy your luck and bingo lingo and win then trot across the road after and celebrate.Staff are friendly and pleasant.Card payments accepted.Children friendly too.Theyll do half size portions or you can get the kids chicken nuggets, pizza or fish fingers.Enjoy!
Had a work party and booked upstairs on a good package deal. Allowed us to bring our own drinks. But the next day when we went to collect leftover drinks/gifts that had been left they were missing... Food was just average too.
This was the best curry I have "EVER" had. I stick to lamb Rogan Josh with each curry house, there wasnt much spice in the curry, but it was backed up with a huge punch of flavour, good size chunks of lamb too, staff are welcoming and always have a smile, more than happy to eat here
What a welcome, as always, lovely friendly people. Quick service, attentive to every request. Never can decide what to have as all delicious, so 4 starters and a curry to share , just the ticket for hungry, taste seeking people. Excellent food as always, will be returning, despite all the variety of restaurants in Bradford this is the place we will always return, give it a try you will not be disappointed
Visited as part of a group booking. Food was close to 2 hours to arrive and a bit cold as it had been ready a long time before serving. We suspect that it was held off to encourage more drink orders.Invoice was not itemised and seemed to be inaccurate.
Went for an early bird special after visiting the imax. Reasonably priced at 9.95 for starter and main. Was very quiet when we went in about 5 but got very busy as the hour went on (they do a theatre special deal I believe). Service was quite slow but pleasant enough. My wifes starter was wrong and was actually cold in the middle but this was quickly rectified with an apology. I had a chicken biriyani which was tasty; very aromatic and the masala sauce was a good compliment. My wifes jalfrezi though was quite oily and she thought it was a little bland - it came out mild rather than medium in strength. Overall was ok but not as good as when weve eaten here before. Hopefully just a blip on our timing / bad day at the office! Id still go back again based on previous quality.
We just moved from DC and wanted to try this restaurant as it was close to our house and had great ratings. The appetizers were nice but the entrees were disappointing. My fish was greasy and loaded with a hot sauce like a dish you can find in fast food restaurant. The dessert was meh. You expect better quality from a fine dining restaurant.
When in Bradford City Centre and feeling the need for a curry look no further than Omar Khans. Visiting Bradford for the first time and having gone through the reviews a few times to the point of getting confused I couldnt have chosen a better place. Food unbelievable to the point of wanting to bring family back here (involving nearly a 2 hour driveat some point soon. Service pitched right, attentive, genuine, nothing too much trouble. Ate alone, but lots of other people around and really nice atmosphere with other people enjoying their meals also. Food prompt, beer cold... Simply superb...!!
