Olympischer Platz 3, 14053 Berlin, Germany, Rostock
Sporting arena, built for the 1936 Olympics, with 74,649 seats, a soccer pitch & an athletics track.
Great stadium, great atmosphere. Enjoyed Hertha taking on Bayern Munich 🙌
Very cool piece of history with a great soccer match as well!
Very beautiful stadium! Such an amazing match. 💐💖
Beautiful and well preserved stadium. It is amazing too see the amount of sbahn platforms that where built for the 1936 Olympics.Be aware that in order to get to the stadium itself you have to walk quite a bit from the sbahn station.Nice to know that inside one can find plenty shops and even sweets, beer and typical Berliner fast food.
Very impressive stadium. Its possible to book a tour to visit locations under or inside the stadium which are usually not accessible when watching a concert or football match. If the stadium is full, the atmosphere is fantastic. Take a jacket with you, it can be chilly there.
A wonderful and impressive place It is a majestic structure. A good portion of history breathes on you.
Nice stadium for locals and tourists. Ticket purchase is not easy due to website complexity and incompatibility
Berlin has interesting customs especially their scarfs. Overall the architecture is nice to look forward too
Its ok, but a bit underwhelming if Im honest. Probably expected too much and was left disappointed. The standard tour only allows you access to very limited areas of the stadium, so not something Id recommend.
I have attended my first Coldplay Konzert here one of the best memories I have ever had …
Amazing stadium for anything from football matches to concerts! I love going to events here!
Very well connected via public transport and plenty of parking space. Seats are not great but could imagine with how old the stadium is.
This is outstanding place! Its unique history, beautiful architecture and current usability...
Great place for sports and concerts. Good food stalls, spacious seating. Adequate toiletries. Definitely suggest everyone for a visit. Plus, the parking situation is quite good too!
I went to this place to watch the league match between Berlin and Frankfurt with some Frankfurt fan friends. The stadium is huge and the beautiful. Can hold great number of audience. This stadium also holds the Olympic games logo which talks about the history of the stadium.Oval shaped stadium with naturally beautiful and well maintained grass is very attractive.Besides the stadium, even the crowd in the stadium are wonderful. They were energetic and that was a treat to experience.Theres also a Tram stop near the stadium. So, this is very well connected.Only thing people need to note is, the drinks near the stadium are very expensive. I would highly recommend that you buy your drinks and come. Only Beer and non-alcoholic beverages were allowed.
Was so amazing to see Rammstein there, I was 3rd row.
So an a impressive Stadion and to think all the history of this place. It must be great to see a live event here.
Great visit with very good audio guide that made the visit so much more valuable for both kids (age 10 & 12and parents. The 1,5h walk around the station past very quickly and we could move around freely and explore with the assistance of the audio guide.Family entrance €19, audio guide €2
English tour was great. You get to see sections and rooms of the building, that you cant see on your own. Highly recommend. Not only a stadium with 5 star football facilities, but also a significant historical building.
It’s an awesome stadium which can accommodate a lot of people. The architecture behind it is also very fascinating.Despite attending a non sporting event, it served its purpose very well.
A very impressive stadion. Definitely when you learn and realize the history of the stadium. We did the one hour highlights tour (English). The guide spoke very good English and knew her facts. Nice to see all the areas where you are normally not allowed to come. Definitely worth a visit.
We were in an Amazing Coldplay show.Very orginized.
Wow! Really cool place to see! Visited there mid-week on July; only a few people in there, letting us to walk and look around without disturbance. See this if you happen to visit Berlin!
The Olympic Stadium is definitely my favorite stadium in Europe. The stadium alone is only worth seeing in terms of architecture. The stadium also has a lot of history. I can definitely recommend a stadium tour. You can see and learn a lot. I always come from Switzerland to the concerts in the Olympic Stadium because the acoustics are usually top. Come here again and again with pleasure.
Dont know about any game and all but Id visited this stadium for Coldplay concert, and damn that stadium+concert made it super awesome.
We visited for the Coldplay concert, fantastic event in a great stadium.
We went 2 see Coldplay and it was fantastic
Very nice looking Stadium but it takes incredibly long to get out, especially after a concert.
An historical and impressive stadium. Saw Coldplay perform and it was a great concert in a great venue! Well organised entrance and a lot of food- and drink-stands. Very easy to get to the stadium with the U-ban.
Don’t buy tickets on the t4 row seats 1-5, they are by the strange separator wall that only exists in 2 parts of the stadium. Overall good place, however be prepared to have 1-2 hours after the show to get into the ubahn as everyone goes there. I saw Coldplay there and happy about it, I think overall it’s a good stadium.
Coldplay concert was out of This universe amazing! The stadion had done everything right from getting your tickets, entry at night with lots of staff and security. People walking around with a drum of beer in a backpack so you could buy directly from them, instead of hours of queue at the stands. Aften the concert, every exit were open and lots of staff to make sure everyone got out without Any issues!
An amazing place for a concert, near the stadium there is a SBahn or UBahn station, so there is no problem even without a car, if you have a car, there is a large parking lot in front of the stadium.
We were at the coldplay concert. The concert was smashing but the view was partly blocked by a large pillar. My daughter said that you could not see this obstruction when she booked the tickets. Bummer!
Good arrangement and management for bigger events. Well connected with trains and U-Bahn.
Great stadium for both sport and music, with most bars taking card.Good public transport links on both the S- and U-bahn
It’s a shame that a historic stadium such as this has such a horrible organization for concerts. Words can’t describe the chaos, lack of planning, lack of basic organization and complete lack of signage during the Coldplay concert in July 2022. I won’t come back.
We attended a Coldplay Concert tonight at the Olympiastadion. Will Call for tickets 🎟 very organized. We had an amazing time, but acoustics a little loud. The stadium is older and doesnt have enough bathrooms. The queues were pretty long for beverages and food. All in all, though, we had an amazing time! Police presence at the concert was veey appreciated. Transportation was easy, using the S- Bahn, Olympiastadion
We had a great tour with our English speaking guide Elizabeth. Fascinating history, and now a great modern stadium.
I went to an amazing concert at olympiastadion recently. it was just incredible! what an amazing day!
I got to hear the rich chilling history behind this stadium all thanks to the brilliant guide who took us through. Totally recommend if youre exploring Berlin
Impressive stadium even today let alone 80 years ago
It was very nice, walking around there and looking at the multiple aspects of the stadium, sadly the person who sold the tickets to us, didnt ask us if we wanted a tour as well... So we couldnt take part in the indoor tour 😢
The Nazis decided that the Deutsche Stadion, built for the cancelled 1916 Summer Olympics, would be demolished. Instead had this gigantic arena built in antique style for the 1936 Olympics. The stadium has a magnificent interior and at Maifeld, heroic statues overlook the Olympic horse polo field. The names of the summer Olympic winners are carved in stone. Jesse Owen became the King of the Games with four gold medals and has later also received an avenue outside the stadium area. The Olympic bell struck ominously about the dark clouds that would come over Europe and the rest of the world a few years later. Today, the stadium is home to the football team Hertha Berlin SC and a wonderful concert arena. It’s also a tourist attraction that is well worth a visit when you can walk around the whole facility. Overall enjoyed the atmosphere and how big the stadium looks as well as the history. Though I went somewhat in the Winter time it was a bit renovated and unable to see a lot of it. Overall a definitely must stop for the cultural impact!! They also have a lot of information panels in both German and English that help you get a sense of what youre looking at! As well as they have preserved most of the stadium from the 1936 Olympics! Its impressive to see the monuments as well as the places that people almost long gone have stayed!
Visited on a spine chilling day, not as a game fan but just as a tourist. Entry ticket 8 euros for adults and 5.50 if youre student. Lot to walk when you come just to watch and go.
Loved the Stadium and the Atmosphere. I went to see the match between Hertha Berlin and Bayer Leverkusen, the atmosphere (though limited due to restrictionswas amazing, the stadium is historic and huge. German football and stadium never disappoints :)
Very big. Tours available or you can walk it on your own. Modernized and used for local team. Historical parts still remain. Olympic Rings and older fields still remain and can be checked out
Even though I didn’t go inside of the stadium, I had chills the entire time whilst exploring the outside. Nature has reclaimed a good portion of what used to be different parking lots, etc. One of my favorite sights that I got to see in Berlin.
Visited this during the Olympic games - Tokyo. It was nice and fresh visit. Its great to try out the different seats to inspect the view of the field. The games village is so big , could cover only part of it. Worth a visit.
Almost 100yrs of age, but the stadium still looks modern. Visited back in 2019 after a Phill Collins’ live concert, so they were still clearing the concert’s setup from the football pitch. The tour of the stadium was worth it and hope to attend a live match there someday to fill the energy.
