Housemade charcuterie & European-style meals served in a cozy space with a to-go counter.
Ordered $100 worth of food via Postmates for our wedding anniversary. Order was getting ‘prepared’ and 30 minutes later our order was cancelled as their status changes to ‘too busy’. Disgusting. You can forget our business at the SE and Public house locations too.
Went for Portland dining month, and it did not disappoint. Great service, amazing charcuterie, expertly crafted dishes with perfectly paired wines. Highly recommend!
Decided to try this place for "lunch club" and Im so glad that I did. I had their relatively simple Ham and Cheese melt and I have to say, it was lovely. It had hints of apple and was just a well balanced fantastic sandwich. Others I were with had the Hero sandwich and they also thought it was fantastic. Quiet, clean and well worth visiting.
Lovely charcuterie board, and sausage sampler.
Very flavorful Cava and charcuterie at this location. I went and had their specials on the New Years Menu. The quail was so great and the rice stuffing was even better!Worth a stop in if you are looking for an upscale date spot or, tapasfinger food style restaurants at a higher than average price point but, for higher than average quality and service.
Disappointing. Octopus app was , ugh, horrible, no flavor and aioli was essentially straight mayonnaise. I experience occasional let downs from restaurants and refrain from negatively reviewing them but this left a taste that convinced me otherwise.
Remarkable! For the sausage lover only. These guys take the pig to an artistic level.
Service, vibe, ambiance and most of all the food were all impeccable. I didnt get a picture of the bigniet with lemon curd because ... Im human and theyre irresistible.
We had the beignets and the smoked salmon benedict. It was good but would definitely recommend staying in their sweet spot with the meats!
Serious quality control issues happening in the kitchen. Ordered the Louie salad. The head of lettuce was cut in half and served on a plate; unfortunately, it wasn’t washed first, and was covered with dirt and multiple dead bugs. The eggs on the salad still had bits of shell on them, too. The gazpacho sounded good, but the flavor was all wrong. How do you screw up gazpacho?!? Definitely a head scratcher. The SE location is more reliable on the food quality, so go there instead.
This is my favorite location of Olympia provisions, take out and per pound selection as well as a full bar create a customized experience for your palate. We love stopping in during the quiet time before dinner rush to have a drink and a nibble. It’s perfect for a bit of adult down time. Not recommended for kids.Sidewalk tables available.Classes are also held at this location.
ive been to olympia provisions for lunch many times, as its NW location is very close to where i work, and the company CEO is partial to taking its employees there for special occasions/fridays. i must say that i really miss the frankfurter friday specials, which usually consisted of experimental flavor combinations atop a very tasty frankfurter. i remember a squid ink frankfurter fondly that was so weird and unique, and i miss seeing that kind of innovation when i went to visit. however, their current menu is nothing to sneeze at. pictured below is their mainstay, an italian hero with fresh, bright ingredients, and perfect bread roll (crispy crust and chewy interiorto hold it in. their side options have always felt kind of lackluster, (salad, run of the mill coleslaw, fries for extra $$), but the small salad side has a spicy dijon salad dressing that is fantastic. highly recommended. the second photo is a new menu item: a dungeness crab reuben. great flavors, though a little too rich and one note for my taste. the homemade rye is divine, however. all in all, olympia provisions offers upscale charcuterie dining at a pretty affordable price. the vibe and general aesthetic is welcoming and open. i always look forward to dining there. id love to try their brunch sometime and see how that measures up! (update: theyre now offering a breakfast sandwich on their weekday lunch menu, so i tried it with sweetheart ham and a lovely side salad. it was very good! lovely homemade English muffin. it comes with a laser potato, which i shouldve ordered! my coworker got it and it looked fantastic.)
Great place for lunch or dinner! Clean and airy space. A lot of parking options in the area. Service was beyond excellent during both visits! The Crab Ruben was an interesting and creative take on a Ruben. Potato Salad was delicious and traditionally German. The Italian Hero is to die for and a very hearty sandwich. Flat Iron Steak was good and the Kale Pappardelle was excellent. While the steak and pasta are not plated together, they balance each other out perfectly and I highly recommend ordering together! For dessert had the Maple Granita with Ginger Ice Cream and Sea Salt Meringue. One of the best desserts ever had! Just do yourself a favor already and get down to Olympia Provisions!
Good service and prices were reasonable. Ingredients were fresh. This particular evening, they had a rhubarb glace for the raw oysters that was a delicious combination. If youre into charcuterie, this ones worth checking out. Good craft cocktail selection.
Really interesting concept of charcuterie, sausages, soups, salads, sandwiches... We went the during Portland dining month, with a set 3-course menu involving a few choices & recommended wines available. Loved by all.
Took them 10 minutes for anyone to even greet us, didnt get sat for over half an hour past our reservation time, dinner took two hours, they never refilled our water, the food was par at best and there was a hair in my dessert. I get that it was valentines day but jesus christ.
Amazing brunch selection! The Google Reviews and Eater did not lie. This is a must on your list if youre a foodie. Their seafood brunch menu is seasonal and I was anticipating the trout Benedict, which was not on the menu. The Mushroom Truffle Benedict was divine. Each bite was fresh, savory and filling. The best, was the Smoked White Fish Spread. The portion appears tiny in the photo, but it was quite filling for just one person. The service is great, drinks were filled consistently without having to ask. If you are a large party, plan on making reservations as the restaurant is very small.
Had a nice time here. The atmosphere we nice (tables were a little close), wait staff was super friendly and the food choices fit well together. The food flavors were paired nicely (my wife and I shared the Dungeness crab). All in all, a nice spot for a good dinner.
Brunch was fantastic. The coffee cake had a great texture topped with sea salt it’s a great balance of sweet and savory. The boards are beautiful great meats and perfectly pickled veggies. The crisp and crunchy veggies paired with salty meats is a great combination. I was impressed with the Benedict the mix of mushrooms paired with the thick lemony buttery hollandaise was lovely. I wished the potatoes were a bit crispier on top but they are creamy and look like a work of art! All and all a great spot to grab a glass of wine and some meat. But don’t sleep on their more traditional brunch fare it’s tasty!
Absolutely Delicious brunch and excellent service! The flapjacks/ eggs benedict dish was so perfectly melt in tour mouth delectable .And the Laser potato was famtastic! I will eat there again!
Food was spectacular. Hidden gem on this side of town. Great, friendly staff.
Excellent service and a wonderful meal. My friend and I stopped here as we were traveling from Salem to Seattle. He had the mushroom soup and I had the sausage over polenta with crispy kale and we both had a beer. The Bacon Pecan cookies topped it off perfectly!! Everything was so good!
Very nice experience and the food was great!
We had our wedding brunch here in their event space (15 people), and Im so happy with the way it turned out!The OP crew stepped up and created a special gluten-free menu item just for us, and worked with us and our vendors to make sure everything was set up perfectly even though we couldnt be there to supervise the day-of. The atmosphere was perfect, and the food was excellent.I wholeheartedly recommend them for a private event!
While visiting my sister suggested we go for brunch. We ordered the French Board, 2 brunch salad’s and our mom ordered ”the randy.” we all sampled each others dish. We all were blown away! The meat on my brunch salad was heavenly! i will be back when visiting.
Had breakfast here and it was pretty good. Loved their take on potatoes. My son got the breakfast corndogs and they were delicious. Was surprisingly not busy for a Sunday morning. Parking was pretty easy to find. Would definitely go back for brunch.
Wow. This place was amazing! We werent sure what to expect when we made the reservation, but its one of the best, no its the best meal Ive had in Portland. We started with cheese and the petite tower. The oysters were very mild and didnt need the cucumber sorbet that accompanied them. The charcuterie was some of the best Ive had. The pate was especially good. The one item that just didnt quite measure up to the rest was the albacore ceviche. It was very good, but just not quite as over the top amazing like the rest of our meal. It was also the only portion that wasnt finished. We ordered four mains and shared with the table. The clams were great with an unbelievable broth. Rich and garlicy without being overly so. The diver scallops were cooked perfectly with a hard sear on the outside and a pink center. The beans that accompanied were also really good. The calamari was cooked well and the heirloom tomatoes were at the peak of ripeness. Id never had calamari with fresh tomato and was surprised at how great they paired together. Lastly was the aoli with vegetables. Its a dish that sounds forgettable, but the aoli is made to order and the vegetables were again at the peak of ripeness. They were amazing. The staff was also top notch. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. We actually had three different servers assist with our table and all were unbelievably friendly. When we received the bill we were shocked at how inexpensive it was. Maybe its because were from the Napa valley, but I was expecting it to be twice as much. If you love great food and friendly people I would recommend this place to you in a heartbeat. Were already excited to go back!
Worst service I’ve had in a very long time. We were the only people inside, and the waitress wouldn’t ever come over to get us drinks or appetizers or food. Most of the staff was just talking amongst themselves & they completely ignored us. The food was mostly good. The pickled stuff tasted like pure vinegar, so quite terrible. Nothing to rave about, which is why we should have left. There’s a reason we were the only ones in there. And on top of the terrible service (it would take more than 10 minutes to get her to come over), they tacked on a 20% mandatory gratuity because there were 4 of us. I’ve heard the other location is great. We’ll never return here.
Made a last minute stop on our way out of town and were blown away by the quality of the food and service! Andrea and her coworker were awesome! The cocktail I had was amazing - as was the Nebbiolo and sparkling wines (tasted my husband’s beverages). We enjoyed the halibut tartare, petit charcuterie, Parisian baguette sandwich w/ potato salad and the roasted chicken. I could not get enough of the smoked green onions and mushrooms!I will happily recommend this place and will hopefully visit again soon. Thank you!
Super delicious happy hour snacks in a gorgeous setting. Refreshing list of Amaro based drinks and friendly service. We were able to sample a variety of charcuterie as well as some local oysters. Consider visiting the nearby smith tea tasting room if you’re there in the afternoon
Small but lovely. Somehow it wasnt loud inside. The food was delicious and now its on my husbands list of places to come back to. Its on the same price point as Besaws and Cafe Nell. Little bit more expensive than Raes. The menu is surprising in that I would have expected almost every dish to have sausage or bacon but my husband had the Benedict with oysters and there are even vegetarian choices available. My scramble had lots of veggies and a good quantity of spicy sausage. It was delicious! Im sure you could get salt and pepper shakers (not on the tablebut I didnt think anything was needed (not even hot sauce). Well be back!
Their cured meats are bomb! I bought some Nola salami after trying it on the board. The rest of the food are fine. Nothing else stood out but its a great atmosphere for eating and chatting!
Everything was incredible. And the cheese steak was even better.
Visited for brunch. A simple but elevated menu. The laser potatoes are unique and highly recommended. The meat and Benedicts are fantastic. The bar tables facing the windows are interesting, but not for everyone as there is not much of a view. Can handle a reasonably large group and there wasnt a wait when we arrived. Service is really good
Olympia Provisions is combination Deli and restaurant. The cheese and charcuterie boards are wonderful! Our server was friendly, meeting our needs for gluten-free as well as carb-free. The happy hour house wine was better than one might expect. Weird neighborhood, but parking available.
The food was amazing. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful. The service was great and everyone there was friendly and happy.
The people are friendly, happy and the service is first class. I was pleased the cleanliness and the quality of the dishes being served. The drinks were excellent! The sausage and cheese products are really good! Thank you Olympic Provisions!!!
Great food especially if you love meats and cheeses. A nice little place you can sit inside or outside. A bit out of the way but thats OK
My husband and I decided to have our wedding dinner at Olympia Provisions NW in their private dining area and couldnt have imagined a more perfect evening. There were about 32 of us present and Gary and his staff made the entire event extremely memorable! They even accommodated the dietary needs of a few of my vegan guests! The food was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful and intimate place with amazing grubs to enjoy a private event.THANKS TO GARY AND HIS STAFF FOR CREATING A PERFECT EXPERIENCE FOR US!
I think the chef here is amazing. Youd think that since the menu is pretty standard, the food would be as well. The chef was able to turn a simple omlett into a delicious breakfast. I have never had anything like it.
The service was exceptional; I had been given a butter knife with my Benedict and the waitress noticed I was having trouble cutting it, so she brought me a steak knife without skipping a beat. I didnt even have to ask. The food was great, especially the potatoes.
Cute little brunch spot in NW, central, but away from the craziness of 23rd or downtown. I ordered peppermint tea, and sides is sausage, potatoes & pickles, nothing disappointed! Street parking was easy to find and wait staff was great.
Beverage program is way above par; the wines and cocktails are all great. Food was more than enough to write home (or a public reviewabout. I loved both brunch and happy hour, and I will be back for more!
Well I went here based of Andrew Zimmern TV Host. The meat and cheese tray was great as an appetizer. The wife and I both had prime rib. The potatoes that came with the meal felt like the was left under heat lamp to long, the green beans were OK. The prim rib us a good cut of meat but no flavor at all. Also seemed like the put slat on everything that came out from the kitchen even on the cheese tray. I like salt and it was salty to me. Wouldnt go back or recommend.
Ive been to this location twice for brunch. Its been great! Could use a gluten free biscuit choice (for my wifebut we found plenty that she could still eat. The meats are amazing (as they should beand we always have to get a salami or two when were there. Can be a bit of a wait for food, but if its nice out, and you have time to kill, the outdoor space is great.
The entire staff were great, and provided some good recommendations! I ended up going with the Chefs Choice and a side of Brussels sprouts. Although I have minimal (read: zeroexperience in the charcuterie department - it was delicious! The house-made ginger beer was an excellent addition to the meal, as well. If I find myself back in Portland, Ill be sure to head here for brunch.
The prime rib was to die for! The lamb was also very good. Try the French board, delicious! This place was not as busy as it should have been on a Friday night. Great service, and excellent food, gives other places in the Portland area a run for their money!
Absolutely LOVE sitting outside here on the weekends enjoying either a Good Life Descender IPA or a nice dry white wine. Their charcuterie boards are absolutely amazing, although their entrees arent *quite* up to par with the rest of the experience. Still awesome, though, and an incredible place to get a bite.
Took my son for lunch. Its one of those catch 22 places were the menu has so many things that look good but when you try your first sandwich you dont know if you ever want to try anything else. The best part of visit is that you can actually take the meats your sandwich are made from home with you...which is exactly what we did. Very good food, relaxed atmosphere, and great staff.
Came here during the Portland Dining Month, and got the preset 3 course meal for $25. So we got a lot of food and sampled more than if we had gone, and it was great. The salad, rotisserie chicken, and strawberry shortcake were great. We also got a sample of a cured meat, and that is where they dominate. Even the chicken had huge chunks of bacon on it.
