Not as good as expected

A very long quite beach, excellent for an early morning walk. Best of all is located 10 minutes from Montañita.

This is the paradise on earth. Very quiet place. No crimen at all. Sweet people. Amazing food. Espectacular views. Longest beach on earth. Very calm and warm and crystal clear ocean.

I originally reserved 4 days, and stayed 2 weeks. Had great room overlooking the main street. The hosts, Benjamin and Sabrina, were very helpful and took me in almost like family. The hotel is very casual and close to town, stores, restaurants, and the beach.

Gorgeous sunsets, amazing food, and still quaint apart from the lively Montañita, just 5min and a taxi ride away.

Amazing place in coast ir Ecuador

Olón is a beautiful place located in the ecuadorian coast with great beaches and nice restaurants. I strongly recommend it for tourists that are looking for a different and peaceful place.

Very nice small village with a wonderful beach.

A great chill place to hang on the beach all the restaurant serves great fish lunches. The beaches uncrowded and the waves are forgiving for beginners, of course that depends on the season and time of month.

The beach is beautiful, certain places have very good food but you need to be sure they use bottled water. There are public washrooms decently clean

A friendly and culinary quiet little town next to Montañita. It’s gigantic beach reaches more than 5kms and is so beautiful. You’ll find the typical turquoise rocks and sand dollars (please take a picture but leave them on the beach or soon none will be found out there). They still have the bamboo Cabañas on the beach that offer lunches and nice seafood dishes. There are toilets along the malecón. Enjoy Olón!

Laid back beach town. In my personal opinion, better than Montanita if you are looking to chill and enjoy the beach. Excellent little restaurants by the beach at really good prices.

Very nice beach on the Pacific ocean cost. Its very peaceful, has big cost line and not alot people. On the beach is tent with tai masage. Close to the beach alot cafe with not expensive food and market. There you can buy some fruits, vegetables or juice.

Really nice place. An excellent option for people who want to experience the beauty of Ecuadors beaches, be able to go to Montañita to spend the day or the night but doesnt want to stay there. But do not misunderstand me, Olon is a nice place on is own. The beach is beautiful, the food is great, the town is nice and the people is lovely. A good place to chill out.

Great beach town with ceviche vendors and lots of great restaurants and places to stay. The surf is strong and the undertow is harsh, be careful here!

Best beach to relax in Ecuador, 30min away from montañita.

I purchased a beach house in the fishing village of Olon in 2007. It is an incredible coastal village with pristine beaches. It is one of the most coveted beach addresses in Ecuador. This 8 mile strip is known as the Malibu of Ecuador. It is greener than most beach areas of Ecuador. The water temperature stays between 72 degrees From and 76 degrees. It is excellent for surfing. The beach is wide and sandy.It is 1.5 miles north of the renowned surf and party village of Montanita. While Montanita is wild and crazy, Olon is guiet and reserved. There are now several good local restaurants that serve a variety of foods at a very inexpensive price.It is an excellent village to use as your home base while exploring the surrounding villages and other adventures.
