18 Taha Hussein, Abu Al Feda, Zamalek, Cairo Governorate, Egypt, Al Jizah
Olivo Pizzeria & Bar - Italian restaurant in Al Jizah, Egypt
Terrible service, very rude evening manager.
I wanted to be in a better place than that prehistoric administration, my friends called me, they were from the Gulf, they had their own clothes, we arrived at the restaurant and they told us the restaurant management forbids veiling, I was wondering if he was joking, really, I thought we are in the 21st century Our ideas about clothes and human affairs have changed. Where am I here in a restaurant in Zamalek, a prestigious place inhabited by foreigners only, and what about the rest of the people?
Amazing outdoor area with lots of trees and bushesvery good service.Hint: Reserve your spot and time slot by phone, especially if its a weekend.Delicious Pizza (Napolitana and Bufala)Raw salads can be trusted too! 😊
I dont recommend this place for anyone who want pizza 🍕, you will get poor quality with high expensive price and bad service.
as any other place claiming to serve authentic Italian food will never have a right to exist in Egypt , simply because Italian food is not halal by design. The food here is ok but extremely overpriced for Egyptian standards
Good pizza and friendly service
Nice pizza but no other fresh drinks
Passive aggressive waiters. I paid with a card and then the waiter rudely asked me for a tip
I loved the new outdoor space, beautiful and green 💚 staff were friendly and accommodating as usual, and the food was great. I go there when I want to spoil myself :)
Good service, pizza is ok
25 mins for the waiter to finally come and see what we wanted. I asked for a beer; got the bottle. no glass. after repeated calling, I finally got a glass. Another 20 mins fr him to take our order. Pizza was mediocre-at best. For a place that claims to specialize in pizzas, it is unforgivable that they use canned mushrooms on a Funghi pizza. To add insult to injury it is one of the most expensive pizza meals we had in Cairo........and was totally NOT worth it. Bad service and bad food os a bad combo.
Pizzas are so tasty, also salad was also tasty. Service is awesome staff is so friendly and professional. You can decide to have your pizza half and half. Also you can have drinks and cocktails. Enjoy!
Food is good , ambiance is nice BUT service is bad , we had to wave at the waiter all night , then a bunch of service fees and taxes are added to your bill which makes the food way too expensive for what it is and the bad service AND ask for your receipt , waiter charged our credit card and walked away , we had to ask for the receipt it was 100 Egyptian pounds overcharged on top of all the extra charges , we got the cash back but not even a "Im sorry" I wouldnt go back.
Excellent pizza, this is real pizza just as in Italy! But the price...is not like in Italy...Its too expansive...but the taste is good.
Cozy, and food is is yummmmy, my favourite pizza in Egypt
Food was fine, place is small and cozy, but it was very overpriced.
Great restaurant!! I highly recommend everyone. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The pizza was good. Honestly not super good but I was satisfied. Their special appetizer was pretzel that was really tasty!! Good for drinking place as well. Music and atmosphere were so nice!
Great pizza, okay sangrias, but the location is quite small so the seating arrangement is pretty intimate.
During my time in Cairo I was genuinely impressed and delighted by the atmosphere, staff and food at olivo. The salads and pizza pies that we had ordered were cooked with an amazing amount of attention to detail. I cannot wait to come back!
I like the place and the food is amazing
The place is nice with a good vibe,But the staff over there are a scam. The last two times i went I REVISED THE CHEQUE they put additional stuff that we havent ordered ( worth 200-300 EGP)it happened to me TWICE!!
Nice place but not good for eating and hungry ,,,its pub much more than restaurants
Amazing pizza, and a great ambience. Highly recommend for a night out along the Nile.
The pizza is good, service is OK and setting is nice with a decent crowd. The place can get too smoky at times so beware if you are sensitive about that. The selection on the menu is a bit limited but that’s part of the concept. My favorite there is the truffle margarita pizza.
A very nice, cosy place with a great pizza taste
Delicious pizza no doubt about that. Small and cozy, suitable for a date or an outing with friends you like to have deep conversations with. What I like about it is that it isnt as crowded and noisy as the other branch in Katameya Heights.
Great pizzas and friendly staff. When you order the extra cheese, you really get a cheese-addicts amount that puts a smile on your face.
overpriced, average taste
Amazing pizza ,great mood and a very cozy place for a catch up with friends, fun date over drinks and pizza or a mix of both
It’s very expensive, pizza is typical Italian pizza but I paid 500 egp for two regular size pizza only.I suggest you go if you want to stay and enjoy a nice pizza with a drink but if only for eating and leaving then no need to pay all this.
The food is amazing but the manager arranging the place is SOOOOOO rude and disrespectful. I booked table for 10 for my birthday in November and I was surprised when I arrive that the table can barely 6 people and when I told him we are going to be 10 he snapped and said "nothing will change" with very offending tone and body language. You have ruined my BDAY
The place was amazing and everything was just right , the setting is cozy and can be both romantic or for a small friendly gathering , the pizza is so delicious. The place is a reservation only place and that makes sense since the place is pretty small
The Pizzas were simply amazing here. I went with 5 colleagues here, they were from Cairo and suggested that this the best pizza place in the city.Although, it is not a very cozy place as it has high seating chairs so watch out for that. Also they do serve alcohol, beers, wine and cocktail pitchers as well. The road outside is a one-way street and also lot of rush so beaware of that as well. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place. Thanks!
Wonderful little cosy Italian restaurant. Must have reservation. The owner was kind to allow us access without reservation because we were there at a less busy time but it became packed quickly and we left after 40 minutes. There was no room when we left.Great food, good service and lovely atmosphere. It is somewhat pricey.
A brilliant pizzeria with a very down to Earth yet tailored atmosphere. The pizza they serve is delicious and their service is definitely a plus, at least on most nights.
Pizza is good if overpriced. Wine selection is ok, and so are the cocktails. Makes for a nice weekday evening vs weekends as it’s usually too crowded.
Been to olivo yesterday, faced no issue with reservation, and the best thing it was not crowded ta all, ordered pizza Napolitana which is pizza with anchovies, and a pepperoni pizza, cape bay wine, i have to admit pizza is well made, dough is good yet i see it its extremely thin crust, cheese flavor is good yet needs to be more cheese in it, anchovies I cant blame them it must be canned but was sooo salty, addition of capers and tomato was good, pepperoni pizza was good, delicious, wine was good, staff I saw them blue not sure why still they friendly, didnt Talk to much, prices I would say a bit expensive, but its Italian restaurant a d located in zamalek#bestcitiestovisit
If they just stop lying about being fully reserved all the time they could be my favorite place for a pizza. Love the truffle oil selection to bits. Nice vibes and good music too.
They had neither regular tea nor coffee n are overpriced, in my opinion, but their pizza can be nice and the mood is nice at night.Customer service is not bad, too..Please have tea and coffee in stock n review ur prices n tell waiters to maybe be friendlier :)Thx!
Delicious food. Great pizza. This Pizzeria is one of the best if not the best in Cairo.Location is great in the heart of Zamalek.Make sure to call and reserve a table before heading there. It tends to get busy.
Small cosy space with good pizza, fast service and friendly staff. The smoke was however overwhelming as there was no proper ventilation.
We asked the hotel to make a reservation here and they said as long as you are hotel guests you can walk in. We walked in and they said cannot accomodate. Then the manager, a fantastic gentleman helped us with a table which was reserved for 10 pm which gave us ample time to enjoy the delicious food and service. We had our 2 pizzas some wine and beers. These pizzas are unreal. Uber thin crust full of flavor. You can always tell a good pizza based on the next 12 hours of having it.. We were hungry for brekkie by 7am!!!
We had a few pizzas and it was ok. It was a bit over priced. Service was good. The waiters are nice. The place is very cozy, I wouldnt recommend it if you are a big group. They have a policy that you cant walk in without a reservation.
This restaurant is horrible. The attitude of head waiter is very rude and when I ordered my salad for takeaway however, they didnt provide cutlery and when I went back he refused to help me claiming that they dont have plastic knife although I was staying in the hotel adjacent to them.
Really good italian style pizza .... a bit over priced but otherwise great atmosphere ... a bit small though not a lot of room ... and also they make it seem like a hassle to walk in eventhough they accept us everytime. .. a not so great experience happened when i called to reserve and they told me that since we are only 2 people they cannot give us a table and we have to sit at the bar ... not so cool but well it is one of the few places with good pizza ...
Beautiful little joint - and when I say little, I mean it. Not suitable for big groups but extremely cozy for a small get-together or a date. The pizza is super tasty; we tried the vegetables and the sausage, both 10/10. We then had the lemon sorbet - theres better, but it was still pretty good. The atmosphere helped us relax and have a great time, so I would definitely recommend.
Extremely good Italian pizza, served by friendly staff within short time. The restaurant is rather small but cosy. However, it is not cheap; and the air is full of cigarette smoke. You are not allowed to go here with children, but you can order for takeaway.
One of the best Italian pizza in town
The best pizzeria in town .. and of course it is very expensive .. they make the best sangeria as well
