Awesome lookout

Just drove here for the view rather than do all the hikes (which looked pretty good). Nice spot for a photo op if youre passing by. The view over the Berkshires would be spectacular during the fall.

Beautiful view! Nice hike. My dog and I did the charcoal trail. Beware-its not 1.5 miles. Its 2.5-3 miles.

A really lovely and well maintained trail! Enjoyed everything about it. The Northern loop is just over 3 miles. The southern side is about 1.5 miles.Very well marked. Some elevation change, but Mild would be my description. Vista’s mildly anti climatic is maybe my only negative to share. But happy to have come for a little visit

What a beautiful view. And across the street is a beautiful trail to hike on. This was my kids and I first time on the trail. And it was beautiful and alot of fun.

not a bad little hike short but parking lot easy to find. you even got a view before the trail. if you wanted to you can do another short trail as well. its a loop and if you go further down the road you can connect it and do more like hike to the Lenox mountain and their is Goulders field which had many flat trails

We went to do this hike as a family activity when we were celebrating our daughters engagement to this fabulous guy! In fact, he was the one who recommended this hike. He chose the perfect trail, the Charcoal Trail! We all felt so fabulous at the end with the vista of the lake to soak up for all our great efforts! This place is perfect for a family to bond!!!

Beautiful gym anytime of day particularly for morning sunrise. Often clouds hang below the elevation providing a wonderful experience of hanging above the clouds

Nice overlook view at the start and another at the top. Decent 2 mile hike that was peaceful with not many people.

Worth a stop. I wanted to try the meditative walk but wasnt sure if I was up for it. But the trail looked inviting.

Took the charcoal trail which is a nice well marked loop. You don’t have to walk anywhere if you don’t want though, overlook is right at the parking lot. Longer trails if you’re looking for a true hike

This is a Moderate trail that took us two hours 10 minutes with stopping for photos water etc. definitely take the left branch to the overlook first which has a few semi steep inclines so that on the return there is a long downhill path before one reaches the pond. If you go the other way, to the pond first, You will ultimately have a long not too steep but say 1/3 of a mile climb. Without stops this could be easily done by a moderate hiker in 1’45”. It is a very calming walk and very beautiful but nothing is overly spectacular. This is not to say I would be unwilling to hike it again.

I really enjoyed the trails around the overlook. One of the fascinating parts around the upper trail was the foundations of former homes from over 100 years ago that are deep in the woods. The vistas on the trail are also nice.

Burbank trail is one of my favorite local hiking spots. Best to go early, parking lot fills quickly.

An absolute must to visit. Try to catch the Sunrise here if you can. Be careful the parking gets overloaded and people park on the street. Also watch very closely for pedestrians. We drove by and saw a wedding here one afternoon

Meander along the Brothers Trail, along the land that was once inhabited by the Stockbridge-Munsee Mahican Indians in the pristine hemlock forest to an overlook that is provided by the Tennessee Gas Pipeline. You can see on a clear day a wonderful view of Lake Mah-Kee-Nak (mountain mirroror Stockbridge Bowl. Good time to snap a shot. Parking lot can be fairly full on weekends. Spend some time out there away from the overlook on the Yokun Ridge and enjoy!

Definitely worth checking out! Gorgeous view and a little trail if you feel like meandering into the woods for a bit.

This place is definitely worth a stop during your drive. It has a pretty large parking lot for just a roadside stop with easy access to the road. The view is beautiful and overlooks some mountains and a gorgeous lake out in the distance. Make sure to include this during fall foliage season or on a nice summer drive.

Nice view over Stockbridge Bowl, a couple of easy trails start from here, the Burbank trail is the longest at about 3 miles.

Even if one just goes to the parking area there are spectacular views over Stockbridge Bowl. For hikers there are a couple of options. The Charcoal Trail is adjacent to the parking area. It is two miles, with scenic vistas to the north and south, and connects to a ridgeline trail that covers all of West Stockbridge mountain (if you do the whole ridge trail,be wary of the shooting range adjacent to the final descent to route 102). Across the street from the parking is the Burbank Trail. It is a three mile trail with moderate elevation. There is one Vista to the west, but the trail also feature s the remnants of a historic house, as well as a picturesque reservoir. It is one of my favorite Berkshire places.

Great hiking trails. Theres no way you could get lost as an inexperienced hiker. On the other side of the street there are more trails. Guides are provided at the entrances to the trails. Beautiful pond across the street from the parking lot. Have fun!

Nice little overlook. There are trails nearby as well, but other than that its a simple overlook. Its great for quickly driving to a view instead of going on a hike to get to one

The scene of stockbridge bowl and the surrounding areas is beautiful. Although its not so much a tourist attraction as it is a small rest stop with a veiw for drivers and hikers alike. This is also a trailhead for Burbank trails that leads through 6 miles of trails and several ponds.

Beautiful overlook! Only reason Im giving 4 stars is because the parking area is smallish and once you get more than 4 cars parking is difficult.

This is one of the best places in the world to view the amazing annual changing of the colors (fall). There are wonderful hiking trails all around and very close to Tanglewood.

This is a very nice hike -- a loop of about 2 1/2 miles that has a very ups and downs but nothing that my 10 year old could not do. Beautiful view and well maintained trail. Love it.
