Lovely small park & community centre with an awesome kids playground. We especially enjoyed the wetland and all the ducks.

What a lovely park!

The park is near Oliver Wood Community Center this was rated as one of the best park in the city. I always bring my little one here to play since it is closer to us. This area has outdoor exercise equipment behind the park and a trail going to a marsh pond.

We love this park! It’s for all ages and all interests.There’s an outdoor gym for -I think- 13+And keep walking from the back door of the playground to the pond to enjoy watching birds, ducks and have fun!I hope they don’t change it like they did with the Maffeo Sutton park :/

One of Nanaimos nicest community activity centers. Inside youve got 2 great gym facilities, perfect for floor hockey, basketball, volleyball etc. There are community classrooms as well. The staff are excellent and very helpful. Outside there is a kids playground with lots of structures, accessible areas and some activity stations. A short walk away there is also a duck pond thats a nice quiet area to watch the world go by.

This is a great park with equipment for all ages. The walk through the woods and the duck pond have educational signs.

Nearly 1 week down on the kids spring break camp. Nicely run. Kids have fun every day.

Our kids absolutely love this park. So much so that we make the drive from North Cowichan at least once a month. There are so many things there to occupy them in their play and the neighborhood kids and parents are all super friendly. We highly recommend that you give this place a chance.

This is lovely, peaceful and beautiful park with a pond nearby. Great for kids.

At least 1 park user failed to clean up after their dog near the duck pond. The smell was horrid and definitely not as much fun playing and feeding the ducks smelling someone elses dog the whole time

Oliver Woods Recreation Centre offers many classes and has a great gym with lots of activities for which you can register. The park has a wonderful playground for your young children.

I always enjoy this park. Theres tons of activities for children or adults. Now I often find myself here because theres so many different Pokemon stops and a gym.

My grandson had a soccer birthday party utilizing the gymnasium to play and an upstairs meeting room for eating. The kids had a great time playing outside before the party and even more fun playing in the gym. So many happy faces!

Just as great as it was 10 years ago

The community park is very large for a (sub)Urban play park. It has good variation in things for children and toddlers to do, plus its fairly sheltered from the sun in the short and long hours, a gift for the hot summer days.

A wide variety of playground equipment, the duck pond is amazing!! Cant believe the growth in the area. Good times!!

Nice place to bring the kids and to feed the ducks . Good community centre gym and rooms available for various uses.

Great park and great community center. It has an outdoor fitness area for adults and a castle like playground. Get out doors and have some fresh air and some fun, rain or shine.

Beautiful small forest right behind the community centre. Wonderful place to spend some time. Loads of programmes available.

Beautiful big play structure area with everything you could want. Picnic tables and benches, garbage cans, bathrooms in the community center, nice short walking trail behind the park good for strollers and dog walking.

Fun, safe space. Decent amount of free parking and 2 gym spaces. There are washrooms and some meeting spaces as well.

Ive attended meetings here and taken Tai Chi lessons, I see a lot going on at this place. Besides the indoor rooms that are configurable to be large or small, they also have indoor courts where Ive seen people play basketball and pickleball, and outside there is a park and a childrens play area

Great place, very clean. It has a great number of rooms that can be rented for events and several classes that run out of here. And the park is always a big hit.

Peacefully and a nice little duck pond kids enjoy it and really love enjoying a coffee while they play

Great playground, multipurpose rooms available to rent for birthdays for a reasonable rate, gymnasium. Duck pond is great too.
