Amazing Italian food for less

Lunch specials were varied and quite reasonable. My spaghetti with meat balls and meat sauce (with unlimited saladwas very tasty; my wifes unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks was also great. Service was very firendly and quick. Less than $25 with tip. I dont know why Olive Garden is the butt of jokes; it may only be "Italian" in decor, and the Sinatra-ish music is annoying, but I enjoy eating there

If you like Olive garden this was good Olive garden. The food came out hot and fresh and was at the designated time. The wait staff were pleasant and friendly. It was as easy as could be

Food got a little more expensive, service was extremely slow, quality has been declining by the years as I use to work here but the server was decent, I would rather go to the one in Danbury or Bridgeport

Love this place. The staff is great, food is always awesome & such a great family atmosphere. Ordered the salad/soup dinner & as always was great.

All was fine until shrimp scampi arrived. Shrimp was dirty . Sent back twice. Pasta was cold by time shrimp arrived. Lunch tasted like it needed garlic. Waitress was apologetic

the food has always been edible. so thats always great. soup is always thin, breadsticks take forever to appear, spinach dip always burned and boiling scorching hot. love the cheesy pasta.yum. I come here for the ambiance. I love the inside decor of this location and its so quiet, music faint, and its freezing cold air conditioner.

We went here last week after having a vacation cancelled and driving all the way back. There was 6 of us, and the place only had a few families. Food was very quick, and our waitress ADRY was awesome!!!! I felt bad as the kids kept asking for things and she had no problem going to get it. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone was satisfied and happy. Really appreciate her great attitude and work ethic. Thanks again ADRY!!! People make sure to be generous when tipping especially when service is good. She only had 2 tables us and another one. (I askedShe still showed up for work. Be nice to people who actually get up and show up and don’t mooch.

Freezing cold...And Im always hot but the AC wasToo cold to enjoy my food. staff was excellent but the table density was too much for my liking w regards to covid. My chix parm was not seasoned AT ALL but it was cooked very nicely.

I have been to an Olive Garden many years ago and didn’t like it. We went because one of our friends daughters is a waitress there. I thought it was very good. The food was good the service was good the place was nice everything was great.

I had one of the worst experiences with the waitress Cali. Gave us plastic forks forgot our soup didnt come to give us the check we had to wait thirty minutes for her to come out even when she had no other tables. I would not suggest to go there I should have walked back out when I saw two other tables. The worst was she knew she was so bad when I asked what about the soup she said u dont have to tip me I Know I was bad...she said it.

I was debating what to rate this place. The location is very convenient for those who want to grab a bite during their shopping or after running errands. The ambiencewas kinda cozy and the food was okay; however, the pasta was a little too dry for my liking. The thing I disliked the most was for a Sunday around lunchtime is not crowded at all and there arent costumers waiting so there is no need for the staff to rush you to pick your orders, and later on coming and asking if you need a box while you are eating your food. Very weird especially when the food arrived 10-15 minutes ago. I hate to be rushed when eating. In NYC most of the places are super crowded on the weekends and I have never been in a place where they would rush you like this not even when they have a line outside.

Not likely to return here or recommend to anyone.Service was slow, albeit polite, even though the dining room was mostly empty. Quality of food was not very good and portion size of entree was small. The chicken dumpling soup was ok but salty as well as the bread sticks which were covered in salt, more like a pretzel. I received my meal after what seemed like an unreasonable amount of time and had to wait another 5 minutes for silverware which the waitress had forgotten and a friend had to retrieve due to the lack of attentiveness. I left the table to use the restroom only to find they were marked with out of order signs and told I would have to use a restroom at a neighboring business. I returned to the restaurant after venturing out to find a restroom only to find I was locked out and a sign posted on door stating the restaurant was closed due to unforseen circumstances. I had to knock on a window to get the attention of a waitress and explain that my friend was still inside and unaware of the situation after being asked if I had forgotten something?!I had a bad feeling about trying a chain restaurant and will be avoiding eating at one again anytime soon.Local restaurants are certainly the better choice for many reasons, beginning with quality.

Stopped in for dinmer w my Family..We were party of 15 and I gotta say that we were treated soo well by the staff.It was my brothers bday and the waitress Linda was awesome...she didnt mess anything up and her helpee Heather was in point with everything.!! Thank u soo much for such a great time.

Food is NOT what it used to be!!!! Our waiter was good not his fault the food wasnt!!! It was not clean either. The ladies room smelled horribly and was beyond disgusting!!!! Will not EVER be back..

The food was very good and fresh I ordered two days in a row theyve made changes to the menu by removing items from the main course and desserts.

Ordered pasta with chicken in a mushroom sauce and got dry pasta with like 5 sad slices of mushrooms. Spent $19 total for this and they also forgot my salad. Tossed the pasta away because I could taste all the oil on it. At least the grilled chicken was ok, so I took that and put it on homemade salad. You also cant use their Togo parking spots because regular cars have taken over the spots. Not worth it at all.

Great place to enjoy a meat with friends and family! 5 stars because the food was delicious and the waitress was super nice and friendly! For sure on my restaurants list!

Olive Garden in Waterbury space all guests out perfectly. Which is why I feel safe eating there. Not all restaurants do. I would recommend them as a safe place to enjoy dinner out. They are following the guidelines for everyones safety.

Waterburys Olive Garden has maintained a generous share of excellent servers. In a community that the talent with this skill set, this restaurant has been the exception.The food is the standard fare for a chain and is prepared well. The fresh salad, flavorful soup, and warm bread sticks remain my favorite.

I had dinner this evening at the Olive Garden in Waterbury, CT. Service was courtesy and kind. They took my granddaughters order so she could have it right away. Sadly, that took a while. No biggie though. She was snacking on a bread stick. Dinner for me and my guest took a while. However, under these times and circumstances I totally understand. My issue was the Chicken Parmigiana that I ordered. When I received my meal I noticed right away that the chicken was processed and frozen. My bad because I didnt ask when I ordered if the chicken was fresh or frozen. Then again I really didnt think that a $20.00 piece of chicken was going to be a huge chicken nugget covered with sauce. I asked the person who brought us the dinner if it was frozen. She said that she would go find out. She never returned. Our waiter stopped by and I asked him the same thing. He said that he would go find out and he did. Yes, it was frozen. Told him that if I would have know that I would have ordered differently. Spent $50.00 on frozen junk. Its too bad because I like their food. But never again for me. Am sorry!

My boyfriend and I stopped by yesterday for lunch. We were seated very quickly. Unfortunately, the table was wobbly, and the wine glasses were dirty with food specs on them(gross). Once we sat down, we waited for our server...... My boyfriend went to the bathroom and came back still no server; I went to the bathroom then came back and Still no server, we sat for another 5 min without even being acknowledged. So we decided to get up and leave. The the hostess that had seated us 15 min prior watched us get up, and all she had to say was have a good day. Great service!

Its Valentines day and Im out with my wife and our friend Penny. Seated as soon as we arrived and our server was promptly there. Our server was incredible as was the food. We had the all you could eat pasta and it really is a great deal. The whole experience was great...sorry we didnt get,our servers name but she was Incredible! Well definitely be back soon! Thanks for a great experience!

Good food, not the best service. Food came out before I received my Margarita. I get its busy, but when a table who comes in after me gets their drinks before me then I get annoyed. But as the server said “That table isnt mine” so guess it wasnt her problem.

Honestly couldnt find a reason not to like this place! A very long time ago this olive garden wasnt as professional as it was this time. Very friendly and hard working waiter. Food came out fairly quick and it was delicious. Seemed a tiny bit over expensive for the amount of food, but quality made up for it. Definitely recommend.

I would give 0 stars if I could, just left after having a birthday lunch. First time steak came with wrong sides so they took the whole plate back, second time they brought it out and the steak was tough and well done, not medium. So they took just the steak back. Finally by the time I got the right steak they had already cleared away the plates and brought the steak in a tiny bowl not even big enough to cut it on! We were there for AN HOUR AND A HALF DURING LUNCH. Totally unacceptable. I know the server was busy and she was friendly but it took 15 minutes to bring the right soda refill after bringing the wrong one. We will never go back. She shouldve referred to the manager after so much stuff went wrong. she had someone else bring us our check who we asked for a to go container, and guess what? It never arrived! Paid $50+ for a horrible meal. I shouldve asked for a manger myself but honestly I just wanted to leave by that point.

Awful. If I could rate less than a single star I would. Waited 20 minutes without wait staff coming over once. After 25 minutes of waiting we decided it wasn’t worth it to wait for same waitress who walked by our table a record 5 times without so much as taking a drink order. It should also be mentioned that the dining room had only 3 parties including the My own, a record 6 customers. As we were walking out we mentioned how we sat there for nearly 30 min and received no service. The four employees, a combination of waitstaff and a single hostess sat by on the counter and continued their conversation with no interest. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!!!

My fiance and I had a great experience today. Our waitress (Catherinewas very quick with serving us and being there when we needed her, even though the place looked really packed. We got seated immediately and the waitress let us sample a couple of wines that we requested before finally getting us the one we wanted. Our other drinks came out pretty quickly, as well as our soups and our food. The waitress checked in like every five or so minutes to make sure we were satisfied with our service and if we needed anything else. She was very accomodating and we had a great experience. Weve been to this one a couple if years ago and the experience wasnt nearly as great as the one we just had. The food was also delicious and hot as soon as we got it. I will definitely come here again.

Staff was friendly and the food was great. The manager even mailed me my wallet after it fell out of my pocket in one of the booths. Note if youre really into coffee you might want to wait and order your espresso at a coffee shop.

Olive Garden is my favorite place to eat so I was surprised of the nightmare that occured. As a small group we called ahead to make sure they could accommodate us. The manager stated it wouldnt be a problem. When we arrived they had placed a bunch of tables together even though it wasnt requested. The gesture was nice, but we were packed so tight and we had actually wanted to sit at 4 to a table. This would have been possible since all the tables around us were vacant the entire time. We arrived at 6 pm. It took 10 minutes to even get our drink order. A total of 30 minutes later before any drinks were delivered. This is how long it took to get water. The people who ordered anything else to drink had to wait longer and some never got their drinks even asking 7 times. They finally took our order 45 minutes after being seated. 90 minutes after arriving we received our food. Individuals found hair in the salad. It was brought to their attention and not even so much as an apology. After 30 minutes of eating we started asking for the checks. Because they chose not to do orders together for couples etc they had a mess We did try to tell them youre making this hard on yourself. They insisted and then a very simple process took nearly an hour. Checks had to be redone for nearly everyone as they were charged for the wrong items or had to tell the staff they didnt get charged for something. You could have literally taken people who have never worked in a restaurant and they could have provided better service. I could have provided better service by myself to the entire group. None of it was hard, but they made it hard by not doing their job as trained and therefore made it a 3 hour nightmare for us. The food was good, besides the hair, but should it take 90 minutes? It doesnt take that long at a large Olive Garden and this was a small one inside a mall with only a third being occupied by patrons. Retraining, firing and better hiring is needed. Very sad to see it being run so poorly. It was so bad that this review isnt enough contact with corporate is necessary.

Very poor customer service. Hair was in my food. 100 could not be broken. Cashier gave someone 40 in broken down Bills instead of her charging the 21 for her bill. I had to wait 25 mins for a manager and there was 4 on. Upon asking for corporates number the girls started asking why did I want it.? Then and only then did the Male manager ask if there was anything else they could do? The blonde manager allowed her cashiers to belittle me and talk inappropriately to me and my daughter. Very very bad experience. No stars given

This is a great place to spend your love ones. Great environment, looks professional and clean. Customer service is excellent, respectful and mindful of your needs. The food itself is very good, no complaint in my part. I would definitely recommend this place to you..

The food wasnt too bad the service was below average and the cleanliness I watched a waiter wipe food onto the floor off the table and if you look between thies to people you will see spaghetti sause on top of the bench and on the wall

It’s been years since I came here and I can say I was pleased. I’m not much of a fan of franchise eateries and tend to stick to hope in the wall or mom and pop shops but I enjoyed this restaurant. Ashleigh, our server, was great! She made sure we weren’t lacking in anything and made sure to answer all of our questions. She was very informative about entree selections and was knowledgeable with the menu, satisfactorily answering our inquiries. The food was hot as well as tasted great and the prices were decent. All in all a great family experience I wouldn’t mind repeating.

Me and my wife went to olive garden last night. Used to be one of my favorite restaurants years ago. I havent been in quite a number of years and I can honestly say I will NEVER return to another one. Let me start by saying that the waiter was awesome! Very polite. But the food was absolutely horrible. You can tell it is all pre made and nothing is fresh. Our entrees came out literally 2 min after ordering (which usually you wouldnt complain about). But the food didnt taste fresh and tasted like old food. I would think that if your spending $20+ on a dish that they would be fresh. It seems this restaurant has turned into a quantity not quality business. Immediately after getting into my car me and my wifes stomachs were already killing us. Now we have been up all night in horrible pain. Please be cautious before eating here.

Food is really good at a good price. Can’t go wrong free bread and salad. It’s a great place to go a little early in Friday or Saturday night. The atmosphere is relaxed with a comfortable setting. The service is great and fast. I enjoy going there in an early summers evening and relaxing after work.

The food was excellent, and the portions were big. I had enough to bring home.I ordered the lobster & shrimp mac and cheese. Added freshly baked bread sticks to make my meal complete. Ill be back there soon!

Eric the chef was really nice to meet. It felt like a professional high end experience meeting a caring head chef, who made sure we were happy. Our server Rob was very professional and The the hostess was really warm and courteous. It was really nice coming here.Highly recommend this Waterbury olive garden.

This is where my friend and I met for lunch, she wanted to ask me a few questions. She had gone out alone looking for a new Gas Dryer, after 26 years, the prices were outrageous, help me. After that many years the prices do go up. Our lunch was so filling we were stuffed. The waiter was one who kept us going from appetizer, to our lunch selection, to filling the water glasses within seconds. He noticed we were. slowing down, and boxes and bags were given to us along with the bill. We waited for nothing, we will be going back again soon. It was a pleasure to have Olive Garden staff take such great care of us.

Very crowded but our server was very attentive. The sangria tasted more like cranberry juice 😢. The watermelon margarita was good. I didnt really enjoyed the lasagna fritta appetizers but my husband did. The stuffed mushroom & fried calamari were good. The new loaded tortilla ships had alot of jalapeños. Roasted beef ravioli were very good.

I usually go about once a week, and have a nice experience here. This week was a disaster. The waitress seemed uninterested in her job and got the order wrong 4 times! She never came back to check on our table- not even to see if we needed anything or to offer salad & breadsticks as there were 2 people having it. I was very disappointed.

The waitstaff here is friendly and for being in Waterbury, its usually an enjoyable time. During my visit here the waiter dropped plates of food in front of my wife and I and we were covered in food. We understand that these things happen and the manager did everything he could to make us happy. We were given free dessert, the meal was free, and they offered to dry clean it clothes. In reality, I would not mind this happening every we come here.

Well it wasnt busy in there at all. the service was poor. our appetizer was nasty. the artichoke dip tasted like fish. our waitress came out with our food. told her what was wrong. never did she come back to the table after she served us our meal. Never came back to our table to see how our meal was at all. the only time we saw her was when we were swiping our c/c then i got more soda an a box for my take home. an then you wonder why you only got a $1.00 for a tip. it was to bad cause my daughter usually tip very well .for the amount of money we paid per plate was not worth it. i got better service at the noddle company then here. will notever return

The quality of food is good at this location - the service is really pretty good every time we go in there. It seems to be hopping even on traditional non-busy nights... the pre-dinner rolls are awesome - that and peanuts could fill you up by itself. The potato skin app is good for 3 or 4 (or 2 hungry...
