Olim Jean Jaurès - Restaurant Français - Brunch restaurant in Nice, France
I was a big fan of Olim, but I recently went and food became insipid, maybe the chef changed?. Got me a little sad.Service and ambiance is just excellent, place is clean as always. I still recommend it.
In comparison to many other experiences in Nice in the past this place gets 5 stars for the lovely service, the lasagna we had there
We saw this place while eating at neighboring restaurants for lunch so we came here for dinner and Im so glad we did. Everything is incredible and delicious. It was so good that we came back next day for more
Small place, ok food, nice service.
10/10! Had the big menu (cheese scramble, fresh orange juice, chocolate pudding, granola yogurt, mocaccino and a croissant). Tasted all super fresh. Would come here any day again! Best breakfast in town!
Omg gazpacho and burrata! Sooooo good! Definitely recommend! Cute busy and very very friendly staff! We didn’t have a reservation but they were able to accommodate the 4 of us.
Great breakfast, eggs and croissants.Very good iced coffee, and good service.
Visited this place for breakfast, the service was questionable. The food was quite good, had cheesy scrambled eggs which were a bit cheesy for me, lemon desert pudding, croissant, yogurt, and espresso, which was not strong more like water. Ordered Caesar salad, it was prepared with chicken even though menu did not have mention of chicken in English. They were nice enough to remove it off the bill but something to be aware of if you are vegetarian.
Bad, bad coffee....I dont like to give negative reviews as I know how it can affect businesses, but unfortunately this needs to be shared. This place literally serves the worst coffee I have ever experienced and its expensive.I ordered two cappuccinos and the moment I saw the server open a silver pouch, pull out a tea bag and put it in a machine I knew it was not going to be great. They both came Luke warm, one was about a third full the other half full and both unfortunately were undrinkable. They tasted like 90s instant coffee with powdered milk and at €4.5 each its an instant waste of €9.Rushing to get to a walking tour meeting a minute away, when we arrived we met about 5 others with coffee cups all looking woefully into them and discussing the quality of the coffee 😂Service was fairly friendly, considering it was quite busy. But please do something about the coffee 😬
We simply loved the brunch offer here. Also thanks to the gentle waiter that, with her genuine smile, let us feel at home.🙏🏻
Refreshing homemade iced tea and service with a smile. The host made us most welcome
My fiancé and I ate dinner here, we both had some of their juice that they mix in house and liked it a lot. They have good portioned appetizers and entrées at an affordable price.
Great staff and service. Lovely brunch and presentation. Highly recommended!
We had a nice break here. Staff was really nice and kind.
The vibe of the place was nice, but 10 euro for a small jar of eggs is a bit crazy?? They don’t come with anything, just a little jar of eggs that were not even very good. Portions are tiny compared to the price. Maybe other parts of the breakfast are nice, but based on our experience we would not recommend! You can get better tasting, better value food elsewhere.
I am not sure the good marks are well deserved. While I find the concept at least funny: serving each kind of food in jars with a spoon, like they were baby food, the taste was OK, but very small portions for the price. We had a squid salad and duck puree. While the squid salad was fine (maybe too much potato I would say), the duck puree was not very well cooked and has a bizarre texture.
EGGS IN A JAR! This place is ridiculous and is the epitome of a gimmicky, novelty restaurant that appeals to people who want instagrammable pictures of their food. The food was inauthentic and did not capture the nature of Nice. It was severely overpriced and really just not good. Eggs were bland and not cooked properly, the granola wasn’t great either. I would not recommend this place; please don’t be deceived by the other google ratings/reviews as I was. You can find a lot more places in this area that are cheaper and more quality.
Cute place, great croissants, scrambles eggs and orange juice. Very friendly staff. Cappuccino must be improved as was definitely a latte and there is a big difference between them. Overall a good place for a breakfast.
for a place that advertises “home made,” nothing here really felt special and all was overpriced. juice was fresh and good, but nothing outstanding. jam and butter both clearly prepackaged, service not great.
Very cute location. Beautiful presentation of the food in a cozy outdoor cafe. Food was great. Had the brunch special. Great collection of dishes.
I liked it alot, nice Atmosphere and nice serving plates, but there are no vegan options to eat and its 2022, move on.
Cute idea with the jars and the presentation was nice, but the eggs in a jar was just weird and didnt taste great. The bread and jam option was cute but we expected a nice French bread instead of biscuits. The coffee was ok. Cute and "Instagramable" but not the best food unfortunately.
Located at an excellent location near fountain du soleil. 2 mins walk from promenade. Their breakfast options are good and delicious. They use mason jars, bamboo straws and trays to serve food instead of plate which is unique. Food was so fresh and absolute delight. We tried croissants, granola parfait, quinoa salad, hot chocolate fudge, fresh orange juice and coffee.the hot chocolate fudge is a must try. They have limited sitting place so make sure to go early.
This place was our very first stop on our honeymoon as we walked through Nice. It was definitely worth it and the food was amazing. Not only was the food amazing but also the service! Definitely stop by if you’re in Nice!
Excellent service combined with great foods and nice location. We took the brunch for early dinner, and lasagne and calamari salad to share. Brunch and lasagne were excellent and the salad was good and in a different way refreshing.
Excellent service, food, cozy place and it is extremely original the way of serving the meals.I recommend the place.
Cosy little place with super cute presentation of their food. Quick service and friendly staff. A good choice for a breakfast break.
Super cool. A must visit if you are in Nice.
Wonderful cheese board, good selection of cheeses, with chorizo salami and espresso.
Amazing fresh food. Went here twice for breakfast. Everything is made to order. Great serving staff.
A good place to eat, especially for breakfast…9ish. Anyways, got the brunch special and found it to be delicious. It came at a reasonable time and was quite a large meal to boot. Everything was very fresh and the service was welcoming. I’d eat here again definitely.
Such a lovely place with great food. We had the typical brunch and added a ratatouille risotto and everything was delicious. Even simple components like the scramble eggs were very nicely done and super tasty. Nice, friendly staff and good outdoor space. Cozy and nice environment.
Great food!! Lovely for brunch.
Good location and nice staff, but food is overpriced. We ordered a brunch menu for 24.9 euros and another plate of bread, and I think they are not worth the price. The scramble egg and yogurt is nice but the croissant is below the average.
Octopus salad was delicious (a little too salty), the cod fish and mashed potatoes was good too, though I wasn’t quite expecting the fish to be mashed together with the potatoes. Quite noisy surroundings though with the tram passing.
I absolutely love this place! They have this unique concept of serving everything in mason jars, everything is made in set portion sizes, they’re apt for a meal if tou order 2-3. The sitting is nice and quiet, definitely a great breakfast vibe. 10/10 recommend this to anyone visiting Nice.Great for vegetarian and vegan people too!
I took the breakfast and I loved it and at a very reasonable price. But the soul of Olim and what makes the review step up to 5 stars is the attention and coziness of Ramona. The best and sweetest in all France! If I am back in Nice I will definitely go there again! Thanks Ramona for being such an angel and for making every client feel special and welcome!!!Romi B.
Really nice and chill place where you eat real home made food served with a smile on top ! Everything from the ratatouille to the salad were good and fresh. They were missing veggie milk and directly went to the supermarket to buy some and accommodate our choice. Very friendly. Strongly recommend.
The atmosphere is cozy and the waiters is super cool. The food is a bit expensive for what you get.I think the eggs And chocolate cake are cooked on the microwave.Coffee and beverage are good.
Excellent food, everything is home made&your taste buds will have an explosion of pleasure. Very hipster place. The waitress is adorable. There are no problems, only solutions. Well definitely come back, when in Nice.
First of all, the food was amazing! (I’ve never had mashed potatoes this goodThe service was great and the setting of the restaurant looked very cute and inviting. I loved this place mostly for the fact that it served traditional French dishes. So for anyone who is looking for a typical French place, you should definitely consider this!
Cute little place with amazing food - great for brunch or just coffee. I especially loved the lentil salad in my breakfast. Ramona made us feel really welcome - she is great at her job!
Wow! Such a beautiful place for brunch!! The food was delicious, the waitress Ramona was wonderful and the atmosphere was quaint, friendly, small but not claustrophobic....I highly recommend!!!! We loved the quirky jars everything was served in, and the little homemade cakes given to us after already eating plenty!! Thank you! We will return one day!
Magical place with delicious food. The atmosphere inside is georgeous. Without any doubts the best place we visited in Nice. Service will make you feel like you’re child again visiting your most favourite aunt.
Very worth to taste itRecommend to order a set. It is tiny and delicate; you will feel amazing
Nice little place for a relaxing stop-off. We had good cider and house-made lemonade. It would have been good to have had a choice of beers instead of just one on the menu. But 10/10 for the waiter/ barman. Friendly, helpful with perfect English and handled a potentially awkward situation (an older man was giving us too much unwanted attentionwith skill, sensitivity and class. Not easy to do.
We went to this place after reading good reviews on Google and the place didnt disappoint. They serve authentic French food and its extremely tasty. I ordered the veal and mushroom stew with French rice. Its was super tasty and I finished it in minutes. The only problem is that the portion is very small so if you are very hungry then order two portions of the stew. For desert I ordered a apple fruit custard which was suggested by the waiter there and that too was good. All in all a must visit.
If you are looking for an artisanal French coffee shop Olim Nice is one of my favorite ones. Appart of their local products and french delights they have a fast WIFI connection. The place is small but very cozy. It is an outdoor terrace space. You can find from artisanal coffees, french pastries, brunch options, cold drinks, hot drinks, tea options, and unique artisanal French delights in their unique pots. The pots presentation is such a characteristic that differentiates them from any typical coffee shop. Also with gluten-free options!I had the chance to try their flower mocktail (cold drink made of dry flowers), artisanal hot chocolate, pot a lancienne (honey, fromage frais, and macarons de Saint-Emilionand oublie (a type of con). My favorite one is pot an lancienne that comes presented with a golden spoon, you must try it!The price corresponds to the quality of their products and service. The service is excellent and the owners are super kind and nice. I congratulate them for the coffee concept culture that they share.
Small but worth a visit. Very friendly staff and food is tasty. The hot chocolate is lumps of chocolate which they pour hot milk over so it melts into the milk. Would visit again.
Awesome tea house concept with homemade fresh lemonade, ice tea, cocktail and also food (filled pineapple, tartare, ...and ancient quality biscuits !
