So disappointed!!!! Went the other night for dinner. Weve always loved eating here. The past few times weve went theyve been closed on Wednesdays. We went on Friday night, and werent allowed to go in because our son is under 21. Apparently, to eat dinner, you have to be over 21 after 9pm.

Just not a great experience, not ally drinks were delivered the beers were labeled wrong, I dont have much palette but a hefeweizen and an IPA cant really be confused. I was disappointed in the service and really cant recommend the place based on my experience.

The food here is always cooked very well and the staff is always very nice and attentive. Ive never had to wait too long for a table, even on weekends or busy holidays. The atmosphere is very lively, but in a good way. Theyve got a good selection on tap, with some options that stay consistent and others that rotate in. That being said there’s always something for me to enjoy.

Great Food, Wings was delicious and the pizza was highly good, where as when I rate the Bad-Best and say highly good, I mean highly good, Ive rated over 150 restaurants and Id have to say that this place pizza is one of the better ones, the best in Hickory thus far.

Every visits been so good I was back for more again. Had to have their famous wings and I think what was called tiger sauce, big juicy and delicious.

Waitress was lethargic, floor was dirty with trash, fish and chips plate was excellent, home made potato chips were fair. Never got a refill on my tea.

Great place for dinks a ND a quick meals. Pizza is out of this world staff very educated and eager to serve.

Fish & chips is delicious. But maybe its time to add a server on a busy night so we dont have to hunt down our own condiments, and give up the dream of having dessert.

This place is one of the most Racist restaurants in the Hickory , If your Black and sit at the bar the bartender will Dim the lights so know one can see you , also the host will seat Blacks all the way at the back of the store .Pure racism in the middle of downtown Hickory

What a great place to visit and eat. I didnt have an opportunity to get an adult beverage this trip. Next time for sure. Highly recommend!

Recently moved to hickory, finally go to check this place out. They were busy, and the initial greet/getting drinks took a bit.. but all stuff was working quickly and with a smile on their face. Server was extremely effecient. Timed our alcohol perfectly so the second round came out right as food we hitting the table.. talk about food.. GIANT portions of fish, and the chicken tenders were cooked perfectly. Large, delicious, and plenty filling. Friend were good. I had a black berry cider beer.. amazing. Will be back. Keep up the good service and great food.

Waiter was too fast to do his job. Forgot many things. Over charged for condiments that supposed to come with your meal. Kept hanging orotund the table wanting his tips. I was very annoying. Asked us twice if we wanted desert, wanting us to leave for his tip. Annoying!!!!!

Our waitress was amazing, drinks were strong af, my hubby said his pizza was good but the Martin was definitely super plain tasting and the fries were cold. Other than that it was great

We left after being sat at a dirty table. Papers and napkins under the table, crumbs on the seats. If you cant seat me at a clean table, I dont want to know what goes on in the kitchen. Mustve been a busy shift. A lot of workers were standing around laughing and looking at their phones.

American kitchen amazing fries. Never a bad food. Great service and good variety of food pizzas, sandwiches, burgers and local beers. New updated menu highly recommended!!!

A Hickory tradition, family owned and it shows with craft beers of excellent quality and excellent pub food. If I want a burger this is where I come.

We enjoyed the selection of beers and the food was delicious. The service was very attentive and our food and drinks came very quickly.

My girlfriend and I split the blue burger and the fish and chips and were really disappointed. The burger was pretty dry with significantly less blue cheese than anticipated and the the fish was soggy and lacking flavor. Would not recommend the food.

I love the feel of the Taproom. I have visited often. Their menu is always the same, but always good food. The wait staff works hard. Its also a great place for takeout if youre sitting outside. Be prepared to wait a little while just because its always packed. You can grab a drink at the bar to take outside while you wait.

We always love going to the Taproom. We stopped at Buffalo Wild Wings and the were only serving wings and fries at that time of the night in Gastonia. So we told them we were going to wait till we got to Hickory and eat your wings instead.

Love the decor and service we received. The food was OK just ok. I had the fish and chips. Fish was greasy and not very tasty.

This place was slammed and we still had great food and service!My husband and I split The Delmonico 🥩, soooo flavorful + 🥗 + 🍟 and 🥖 + 🍺.We love coming here.. ♥️Minus the bathrooms needing a once over deep cleaning and dusting. 🚽 🧼

How great to find a place where the food and service are better than your expectations. Great beer selection. Nice menu selection. The mother-daughter bar maid team are so cool, and accomodating. Beer was good. Food was good. Service was good.

We came to this place during swinging under the stars. They were very busy and we were told it would be about 25 min until our party of three could be seated. So we were delighted when the host came to find us in the crowd in only 15. We were shown to a booth, but my sister had different weds and we asked if we could have one of the empty tables and they were happy to accommodate. Our server was friendly observant and efficient. The prices are extremely reasonable. I had the Charleston Cesar Salad, it is a Cesar with crab cakes on top. It was decent. My sister had the chicken tender platter and it was large and tasty. Would recommend. My sister in law had a burger, and said it was awesome. We had a small batch IPA that was delicious and the hickory stick stout another winner. The facilities were clean. My only complaint is the bathroom stall is tiny. But hey that my opinion. 10/10.

This is a must go every time Im In Hickory. Between the food, drink and staff you cannot go wrong. Everyone makes you feel like family.

Great tap selection in popular downtain be with outdoor seating. Best fish and chips I have had off the coast. Would highly recommend

This is a nice little bar. The artichoke dip was awesome. I am sorry I dont have photos or or nice waitresses name. We were in town waiting for our cat to be seen at the local animal hospital. Our cat is fine but it was very stressful at the time. I am glad we stopped here because the wonderful service, tasty food, and good drinks definitely took the edge off.

Our server Mason was incredible however the burgers was average and I had set my expectations higher. Also when we asked for a beer and wine menu were handed a register tape receipt with beer names and wine I didnt quite understand why a place would do this. Overall an ok experience but could have been so much more.

First time there today for late lunch around 1:30pm. Very short wait for a table.Very good food. I had fish and chip, wife had steak. Both quite good. Price well within acceptable. Little noisy in there, but no big deal.Will go back.

Go for the drinks, not the food. The crab cakes were a little burnt, and dry. The fries were cold and the shrimp was very, very small. The salad was very fresh & the drinks were good.

This was our first time here.We where never served.When we walked in the hostes seemed like we where more of an annoyance than anything. We where seated and waited for 20 minutes before we just got up and left.There where several waitresses that walked by our table. I am sure they where busy, but it would have been nice to at least be acknowledged. I also want to give them the benefit and say that times are hard and everyone is short staffed but from what I could see it didnt seem too busy.As we walked out the hostes told us to have a good day then realized that we had just come in not long ago. She called after us and said she would get someone to serve us but we declined. We do appreciate that she was kind and apologized.Ive had the food before at a work function and it is very good and their sister locations are outstanding.

Hickory is a great town, and this bar embodies the spirit that makes Hickory so amazing. The beer was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the service was perfect. Big open atmosphere, plenty of free parking. This joint definitely gets my seal of approval!

Some of the best chicken tenders Ive had around town. Theyre huge and not overly cooked. They got a wide variety of alcohol to select from. Its a good place to catch up with family and friends.

I always enjoy coming here. The beer is great and I always like the reuben. I do however really miss my favorite menu item, the smothered chicken fried chicken. I dont know why on Earth they would discontinue this. Please bring it back! And bring back Jazz on Tap!!!

The bar is pretty cool and in a good location.The servers and the bartender arent the best.Asking about what cocktails they have I got an answer " we have 200 drinks here..."I let the bartender choose one for me while wasnt in the menu she gave me a cocktail attempt.5 stars for the location and the age of the place but for drinks and tenders 2 stars

Food was very good. Pub Burger and Pub chips and ranch dip. If you not checked this place out you should.

I have not had a bad experience with food yet , and tbh they have great drinks and beer at the best prices. They are the only ones that can make a pineapple and amaretto the way its supposed to be made. You would think with only 2 ingredients it would be easy, but others dont compare.

I enjoyed it! Great service and reasonable prices on food and beer! The Big Cheese burger was really good. Got a Flight of 4 beers ( summer ale, pale ale, Irish red and a Black IPAaround $8. The summer is very nice and smooth this time of year for the obvious reasons, the same goes for the pale ale. The latter 2 were not bad just maltier taste then I care for.

This was our first visit but definitely wont be the last. We were very impressed with the staff, were told there would be a 20 minute wait and as we sat outside at one of the many tables waiting soaking up the warm sun,we got to enjoy the nice, downtown atmosphere. Five minutes later we were called for our table. The staff was very attentive. Quick to get our drink order and following soon behind on our meal. I had the delmonico 12oz ribeye with smashed potatoes, had the soup of the day as well... chicken vegetable, which was probably my favorite soup , could definitely make a meal out of it with their house made bread. My girlfriend had the tomato basil salmon and it looked and tasted amazing.... had to try, with the Irish roasted roots and an amazing fresh salad . The house brew selection was really excellent. If you want to grab an amazing lunch or dinner with excellent service , friendly staff and great atmosphere this is a definite must try!!!

This would have been 5 stars but twice we received burnt food. The server was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. She got extra gratuity because of her professional demeanor and the way she kept her cool after the burnt food has been brought out. The manager was apologetic and got us new dishes brought out with minimal delay. I will say this, once we got properly cooked entrees the food was absolutely delectable. Big, juicy wings. Thick burgers full of flavor and super soft buns. The craft beers we sampled were also top notch. Tropi-Can-Of IPA, Stone Peak Conditions Hazy IPA, and Peidmont Pilsner were wonderful.

Amazing selection of beer and spirits. First Tim I have seen orphan barrel in a bar since Vegas. Swiss mushroom burger is great, and pretty good low country crab cakes,. But lets face it, we are here for the libations
