Historic marketplace with shops & carts offering locally made gift items, plus live entertainment.
Its AMAZING inside! Truly a wonderful experience!
Nice little spot to walk around with the family... and have a snack or something to eat....
Shopping place for traditional dresses
I love history and Old Town is the beginning of San Diego. Cafe Coyote is located here. Homemade and fresh tortillas, yummy yum yum.
I love Old Town. You can buy things you cant find anywhere else. Like 50 types of licorice & bottle caps from brands I didnt think existed anymore.
Loved it! Great shopping, atmosphere & a most pleasurable experience riding the trolley.
Very easy to reach by MTS. Plus once in Old Town, there’s a trolley you can take to various spots.I stayed mostly in the tourist part of it with the old style buildings. It’s lovely to walk around explore and shop.Plus try an actual root beer when you get that chance!
I LOVED the old town market 😩🥰 it was lovely! Very busy, but not bad. We did a little tour for the haunted thing. LOVED the hostess of it. She was awesome!
Fun place to be and spend time.place has a character of its own.usual touristy stuff around too.
Good place to walk around and shop. Lots of different types of store with unique items. You can purchase clay pottery, candies, wrestling masks, candies and more. Great place to bring the family and enjoy your day. I highly recommend you give them a try and stop by when you’re in the neighborhood.
A lot of places to check. There is a special festivity ambience that makes this a must while visiting San Diego. I’m returning on my next trip. For sure.
Nice little town with tons of Mexican vendors and restaurants. Good to walk around and enjoy some interesting food and shopping.
As a local I give it three stars because its a touristy attraction, for international guests will love it though.
Simply put: this place is cute. Lots of unique arts and handmade crafts. Everything has a local / Mexican flavour and the vendors were all welcoming. Most importantly, public parking is available across the street with ample, free parking 😉
Great authentic Mexican food everywhere, and cultural history of old San Diego. So much shopping!
The root beer float was great! Go for the special one...not the a & w version.
What a great tourist destination. You can catch the Old Town Trolley. Theres great restaurants and the Whaley House. Loved this part of town!
Lots to see :). Highly recommend the Trolley Tour, 12 stops, very informative. Fun ride to see/explore SD and Coronado.
So fun! Spent a day here and would definately come back. My favorite place to go in San Diego!!!Lots of history, ghost stories and tours, and a fun night atmosphere. Live music and beautiful Central and South American souvenirs.
One of the must see places in San Diego. They have a couple of parking lots near the old town market but finding a parking spot is a bit of the struggle. Good for shopping and food.
It was nice a get away little trip.To enjoy 😉 time with the one you 💘 love.
If youre around San Diego, this is a place you dont wanna miss out, everything from souvenirs to restaurants, and a walk around the park. Love it.
Im from the east coast and this reminded me of my local indoor farmers market - stores, stands, delicious local food, but with a rich history. We loved visiting and ended up catching the trolley tour here. Absolute must visit if you get the chance.
Good place to find souvenirs here. Mexico ones and Sam Diego arts, clothings and so far.Prices are not so expensive. And it’s also possible to enjoy like museum.
Visiting this marketing town it was the best part of my San Diego trip!!The best I had a wonderful time that I will never going to forget it!!I love it 💜💜
Great atmosphere seems like a Mexica market place, unique and some hand made items from Peru, Guatemala, Mexico youll need comfortable shoes alot of walking
Today is an opportunity to love, to work and to play. Lord, may I recognize the opportunities that come today and participate in them as much as I can.In life it is those that persevere that will succeed. Lord, every day is a fresh beginning. With You, I will come closer to my goals each day if only I dont give up and quit.
Fun outdoor style market with all the usual tourist trap nik-naks that no one really needs but seems to buy anyway. Friendly merchants, nice setting in Old Town San Diego State Park.
A pretty good place to find interesting and neat merchandise.
I enjoyed looking over the bay and seeing the Rock, Alcatraz. The kids loved the boats and the sea lions. The entire family enjoyed the Mrs. Fields Cookies, yum!My wifes favorite part was the sports store because she purchased all her Giants World Series memorabilia. What can I say, she is a northern Cali girl.
Overall really nice and huge! Lots of local vendors and huge discounts as well! Food can be a little pricey but it’s a nice place to come and walk. The only downside is that most of the museums are still closed for some reason.
Very packed on weekends with a tricky parking situation. First and foremost, bring time, chances are youll need time to find something.Other than that, a rich environment of vendors with historical buildings and a unique experience. Prices are reasonable, but slightly higher than usual because the whole area is focused on tourists buying souvenirs. Live music, great restaurants, and history all in one place.
I was very surprised at how easy parking was and the fact there was a large free lot. I was from out of town with a rental car and most people know how frustrating that can be. We drove to Old Town market and found a large free parking lot right in the heart. Great setup for visitors.
Gorgeous place to take pics and buy souvenirs
Definitely a place you can come and enjoy. Alone or with the family. Soooo many vendors. Most sell the same items though.Theres places you can sit and listen to live music. Weekends only. All kinds of stores too. Many restaurants and snack bars to choose from. Restrooms located throughout the entire place. Free parking in different lots. You can do a city tour in a trolley. Free museums. Worth another visit.
Very interesting place to spend half of your day in San Diego! Second timer here. Can really see how COVID did to this place. A lot less crowded compared to 2 years ago. Lots of amazing hand crafted goods. The day of the dead festival was a plus with all those festival decorations.
Made a quick stop in San Diego with several hours to kill and couldnt pick a better spot to spend time at. You can walk the old roads of Historic Old Town San Diego and shop at the many vendors selling souvenirs or shop at the many stalls selling various trinkets here and there. We also ate dinner here at a restaurant and it was fantastic. Would love to come here again with more time to fully experience all it has to offer.
Get all your souvenir shopping done in this one place. There are supposed to be around 40 vendors in total inside and out. There is a clean public restroom with multiple stalls. Most vendors sell similar items, but feels great walking through with so much all around.
Like going to Mexico without crossing the border..
Beautiful place to do some walking and shopping in San Diego. Free parking which is a nice change from most places in San Diego. Cute shops and restaurants. Many shops had the same stuff as the previous.
You can walk around and buy some cute souvenirs. There was live music playing when we were there. You can get trolley 🚎 tickets right outside. There are bathrooms just outside
Little on the high side of $$$. its a themed old town within SD. take lots of pics, this place is an awesome experience indeed!
Beautiful place to see in san diego. Lot of unique things to shop from history. Beautiful handmade goods at an affordable rate. They have taffy sea salt shops, candle making shops, antiques shop and cigar shop. Have cafe and bars nearby to eat.
Had a blast... need more time though.. it’s a day thing... one of my fav places was the cigar joint..
I would recommend this place. If you wanted to know the history, you must be here...
Lovely market in Historic Town! Many shops in narrow alleyways selling Mexican goods and souvenirs. It’s like taking a mini trio to Mexico.
If you like the sets of the TV show Westworld you will like Old Town. Taking you back in time the town has maintained its historic image. It all looks like one big museum . A great place to visit with friends and family when in San Diego.
It gives you the feeling of a old town, the shops and the restaurants are so nice
I love Old Town! Ive been coming here from Irvine since 1977 and now that I live in Mission Hills its so close and fun. Today was my birthday and I couldnt think of a better place to spend it. The shops, the food, the drink, the ambiance, the weather and the personnel were five star. The City of San Diego - negative 10 stars for a $60 parking ticket where we parked on Juan Street by Heritage Park.
Casa De Reyes in old Town. Shaded in the summer, great food, kids welcome, average appetizer, $10, dinner average, $15. Great drinks, live shows. Perfect spring ride.
