Very interesting
Overrated.
Beautiful
Beautiful city with a castle on top! Really impressive, especially in the evening 😍
It is very similar to Şirince… It is a beautiful town that has preserved its historical texture! it has some creepy back streets at night.
Nice views from the river which divides the city to 2 parts, you can see the city of the windows and take nice pictures from this spot
Definitely worth the visit. Very atmospheric place.

Peaceful!!
Superb.
Awesome!
best City
Lots of construction work going on at the moment so the paths are tricky to navigate and dirty. Otherwise would be a very nice old town to wander through and get lost in the alley ways.
Very exetic and history, good senic.
Nice place for who like history place
Old city of Berat is the real beauty of The city . Best thing is to explore the streets and the way towards the Berat castle.
Is very beautiful City!!
It’s Really old and Amazing Town I fly out 🤩🤩🤩
Berat is a part of UNESCO World Heritage. This is a very interesting and impressive place with spectacular views. Must have to visit.
Berat old Town is protected by UNESCO. Its a beautiful, unique town. Its structure is really peculiar, around a hill beside the Osum river. Two days are enough for exploring and enjoying the albanian tradition of this small but historically rich town. The tourism development is still young. I wish to see it more vivid. Most of the streets are silent with no activiy. I would wish to see more traditional shops and businesses and hotels ore inns. This town deserves more care and more investments.
We visited Berat in the beginning of May. Its really gorgeous, cosy and super snug town. One day is enough for exploring, strolling in old Town and climbing to the Berat tower (you can also drive, 1 km from the river shore). Interesting place, highly recommend to visit!
Very small cute old town, UNESCO site.
AMAZING. Very cozy and atmosphere
Awesome place!!! MUST VISIT!!!
Nice area to walk around and peoplewatch
Lovely traditional white houses. Nice boulevard for walking. Good restaurants. Stunning views.
A city of thousands windows!! Awesome views and nice experience
Huge piece of history and great architecture. Recommended for everyone who enjoys such unique places
Beautiful part of Berat, white-gray small buildings with great windows stay on the slope of the castle hill.
Even better than I imagined. Lots of old alleyways and beautiful architecture
Amazing architecture.
Loved beautiful
Very cozy and beautiful city! It’s in the way between Tirana and Sarandë so it deserves to spend there two or three days!.
An old town with one thousand Windows, very nice
Great place to visit if you love old historical places...
Just as quaint as it looks on the pictures. Make sure you take a trip up the hill, and explore the narrow, cobbled lanes. The view from the top is also very pleasant!
Old Byzathine architecture
Amazing little town ... nice and peaceful people.... the town is so rich in its history and architecture... definitely I need to visit it if you are in Albania 🇦🇱...
Its beautiful. Hilly, but beautiful.
Very nice place. Very nice view on Berat. It is better to reach the place by car, rather than coming by foot from the market.
#thetownofathousandwindowsAccording to the legend, the Tomorr mountain was originally a giant, who fought with another giant, called Shpirag over a young woman. They killed each other and the girl drowned in her tears, which then became the Osum river.Berat (alb. Berati- 2400 year old town located in southcentral Albania is known as "the town of a thousand windows, also the Museum City". It is one of the oldest and most beautiful towns of Albania, with a settlement having existed there since at least the 6th century BC, when it was a fortress-settlement of the Greek Dassaretae tribe on the old border between Illyria and Epirus.Berat and Gjirokastra are inscribed as rare examples of an architectural character typical of the Ottoman period. Located in central Albania, Berat bears witness to the coexistence of various religious and cultural communities down the centuries. It features a castle, locally known as the Kala, most of which was built in the 13th century, although its origins date back to the 4th century BC. The citadel area numbers many Byzantine churches, mainly from the 13th century, as well as several mosques built under the Ottoman era which began in 1417. Gjirokastra, in the Drinos river valley in southern Albania, features a series of outstanding two-story houses which were developed in the 17th century. The town also retains a bazaar, an 18th-century mosque and two churches of the same period.
Berat is nice but once you saw the famous view with the houses there is nothing very special. The view from the fortress is alright but the fortress itself is not well preserved and the hike up especially when it is hot is not very easy.
Very interesting. Berati is the place.
I love itt! By day you just want to visit every corner of this city and by night you just want to sit in front of it and watch the lights that shine on the white walls of those beautiful old houses! Amazing!!
Berat is a highlight of a trip to Albania.
The old town of Berat is located on both sides of the river. A very beautiful place. Required to visit Albania.
