Old Mary's in Antioch

I like this place I always book and go even though there are plenty of spaces to sit. They have nice cocktails, and recently they serve you faster. I like sitting in on the couch next to my date, but I don’t like that round chairs because it doesn’t have anything to rely your back on which results on spending less time in the bar.

Hours are incorrect. It seems closed for the season.

I stopped in to Old Mary’s Cocktail Bar on a Thursday evening. This basement speakeasy is located on Craven Terrace, just a short walk from Bayswater Road. I really liked the atmosphere of this bar, it’s kind of dark and gothic in a cool way, with lots of little nooks and crannies for seating. Their cocktail menu had many tempting choices and all were fairly priced. Music being played had a cool vibe. I had an expertly mixed Dark & Stormy, served by the friendly barman. I will certainly return the next time I’m in London.

We just got into London and was looking for a comfortable place to hang out, had live music and the staff was amazing. The backstory of this place is funny as hell...me and my lady had a great time and drank their signature cocktail called "the animal".... Loved it so much I asked for the recipe...

Pretty terrible bar staff. I saw that a customer/patron had added something to my drink and the bar staff knew of this as they moved my glass away from him. They both laughed it off but I dont think its a laughing matter as I am requesting them to serve me a drink created by them and not be interfered with. Dont care who that patron was but if youre going to be jokingly throw something in my drink then Id rather not drink there. She begrudgingly made me new one but not sure why she had allowed him to mess with my drink or defended that he didnt do anything even though I was right there.

A gem of a cocktail bar in the basement of a grand old town house (upstairs are a pub and a restaurant). The place has a great atmosphere and on a cold December evening immediately felt welcoming and cosy. Great cocktails, though Im no expert, and friendly bartenders. I will definitely be going back. It would also be a fantastic venue for a private party.

Best cocktails we have had in London. Handcrafted cocktails. Screwdrivers, whiskey, margaritas, gin and tonic, it doesn’t matter. If you love liquor, this is the best place to do it in town.

Atmospheric, super friendly staff, one of the best pale ales and cocktails Ive tasted and calm noise levels. The bar even has a ghost story, cant get any better than that.

Came on a Thursday, they had great live music, very reasonable prices, good food and drink, and super friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Booked a private room, which was a lovely place for what we needed with great drink options too. But the best thing about the place has to be the service, everyone there were brilliant, wish this was my local.

Really good drinks and theres always mescal on the menu so a+ for that. I really like this place. Is cool and unexpected in this area. Good spot for pre and post dinner drinks of youre eating locally.

Superb pub and cocktail bar hidden away down some stairs comprising a maze of little rooms. Very atmospheric. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bar food is nice. Quite expensive but about right for the area. One real plus point in hot weather is the aircon. Cool in more ways than one. Recommended.

Really nice local pub. Good pub food, very beautiful building and SUPER FRIENDLY staff. We came back every night of our stay in London. Its hard to beat! A word of warning, it gets super busy after 7. Also, there are several doors. Your best bet for the pub is the one on the corner. Really excellent place!

Just jumped for the pint to make myself happy, bar looks amazing, apparently HM Queen Mother "did serve" the pints over there, proof on the pictures on the wall, amazing experience. Downstairs live music, which apparently was the mess at this time, but I liked it.

This surprising cocktail place exploits and exalts the ambience provided by the old basement of an historical building. Feels like being in the catacombs, but with well done cocktails in hand!

Neat basement bar, good presentation. The cocktails are generally good, and you can tell theyre trying creative things, but not yet completely refined. I would imagine they are rotated regularly, but I am just passing through. Price point is midrange for the area and style.

What an awesome find. Great location, cool surroundings and extremely knowledgeable mixology. I took a misstep with one drink, too sweet but an interesting flavour profile with the addition of a rhubarb vodka. Im addicted to negronis so the 2 month barrel aged sloe gin negroni was a winner for me. Made my evening finding Old Marys.

After failing to find a table to eat at the upstairs business, we discovered this gem below. The service was very welcoming and after hearing our difficulty upstairs our server took it upon himself to go upstairs and reserve us a table for after our drinks.I decided to let our server pick my drink since they all looked too good to decide. He brought me the best tasting cocktail! I tried three other drinks and they were all great.The drinks here are top notch, the service is the best Ive ever had and the prices arent too high. I definitely suggest you stop in here for a drink.

Literally the best bar Ive ever been to. I live locally, the drinks are astoundingly well made and all original creations by the wonderful bar staff. The atmosphere is amazing! A candlelit victorian cellar. About £9/drink but they use seriously top notch spirits.100% would recommend.

Cool little speakeasy with a great history surrounding it. Descending down the stairs into a cosy bar with ample corners to settle in for a drink, I really enjoy having a cocktail or two here. Good range of craft beer as well. The staff are very friendly and despite still finding their feet in giving this place its real character, they are well on their way to making this a great bar worthy of a visit. Recommend trying one of the dogs as well.

A perfect little hideaway speakeasy in a quiet area near Porchester Gate. Fantastic mood, music, and staff.Best Gin Mojito Ive ever had in my life (its called a Quest, not on the menu), and the mixologists love making new drinks on the spot if you give them the ingredients you want!Will continue coming back here. What a wonderful place.
