I think its permanently closed, since theres grass growing outside, and the building looks old with impaired windows.

Try not to put this in your itineary to avoid dissapointment. Went on a Saturday afternoon but its closed. Called up the number stated outside, the owner said they just went out and wont be back. I asked what time they open tomorrow (Sunday, he replied 10plus in the morning. Guessed what? Its not open for the whole Sunday, and his number is unreachable. This is not a museum. Its a private collection place where he opens as he like it. Good luck to all who are planning to visit.

Well worth a visit. Lots of original old Taiping artefacts. This private museum is a labour of love by a local cultural heritage enthusiast. It is essentially a one-man-operation.

When we passed by the place on 5 Nov 2016, about 3.30pm, it seemed to be closed and it didnt looked impressive, so we didnt call the phone number displayed on the wall.
