Old Dillon Reservoir Trailhead - National reserve in Dillon, United States
Very easy trail, good for almost anyone! And the views at the end are excellent. Good sized parking lot too.
Great little trail to get up high for wonderful views of the lake and the surrounding towns. Great views of the surrounding peaks as well! Popular with families and dogs.
An easy trail with shades and beautiful views.
Very busy trail leading up to Old Dillon Reservoir. We got rewarded with beautiful views of Dillon Reservoir, the 10 mile range, the continental divide etc.... not much shade on the trail aka come prepared
Great short hike up to the old small Dillon reservoir with great views. The hike through the aspens is beautiful and the views up top are amazing. Walking around the small reservoir is fun and there are some small fish in there if you like to fish.
Easy hike with spectacular views!
Great hike for kids
This trailhead takes you along a short hike that leads to some incredible views of Lake Dillon and the reservoir!
Cool place. Usually not too busy. Whenever I work in Frisco my dog and I take our lunch here.
This place is very special to a few family members, in so many ways. The trails are relatively easy, and the views are things that belong on postcards ..or Bob Ross paintings.
Great weekend family friendly hike, easy up and down, great walk around the old reservoir!
Good easy hike to the smaller reservoir. Good views
An easy hike for all healthy people/ kids too!
One of my favorite easy hikes in the state! You can see for miles in most directions, amazing scenic overlook of Lake Dillon or whatever its called.
Can be busy during the summer, but nice easy hike with rewards of great views of the entire county.
Fun easy hike . I only hike in winter while there is snow and it was beautiful. Great views and not difficult. Even a path around the reservoir.
Fun family hike. Easy trail and has phenomenal outlooks for photos of the reservoir and mountain .
Quick hike, great views of the reservoir(s)
Great place to get away from Denver and catch some fresh air. Trail head markings are not clear and could use an update. Fun Fact, the City and County of Denver owns the water!
Beautiful during wildflower season and fall colors. Easy hike for families with young children. That being said, expect a lot of families with young children. Dogs love swimming in the Reservoir.
Nice beginner hike (while adjusting to the attitudewith nice views of Dillon Reservoir
Beautiful views! Hike wasnt too bad to get up. Kids had a great time. Other people there were kind and gave us space. Will definitely visit when we come back!
Beautiful view. Easy hike with a small child.
Great place to go hiking great views of the Moutains and it’s free. One of the best hiking trails I’ve been too around the Frisco area.
This is a lovely hike with great views of Lake Dillon. The Old Dillon Reservoir is at the top if the trail with gorgeous views. This hike is an easy walk and would be suitable for all ages.
Such a great hike for those with children. Its a shorter hike making it easier on them. Gives you incredible views and write a variety. Absolutely beautiful in the fall.
Nice, short walk up to reservoir. Need to be able to go over rocky trail. Great view of the lake. Trail is kid and pet friendly. Wild flowers are showing this time of year.
Great 360 views up here.
A great short hike any time of day! A nice place to look down on the current Dillon Reservoir, as well as over Silverthorne. A pretty good hike for whole families, even with smaller children.
A great lookout point at the Reservoir that might not be as well trafficked as the more popular sites such as Sapphire Point.
Easy trail with great view overlooking the lake
Beautiful views, interesting trail. In all a peaceful, restful, and reinvigorating area. Spent a couple of hours here taking in the sights, then the rest of our road trip was so much better for everyone.
Please take your bags of dog poop with you. Leaving them off the trail is worse then not bagging the poop.
Easy trail...nice views. Leash your dog...rangers were giving tickets
Beautiful peaceful and nice relaxing stroll.
Easy hike with nice views of Dillon reservoir and surrounding peaks.
Ive been going to Dylan for many years and knew nothing about this Trail. I just happened to look it up on my mapping system and found it. My aunt and I decided to check it out and we are very pleased. Its not a very long or hard hike and you are rewarded when you finally get to the top. You have outstanding views of Lake Dillon and for a 20 to 30-minute hike up its well worth it.
A nice meandering trail up the mountain to the holding pond above. Many other, less used trails spiderweb their way around the park. Great views in every direction. Bring your water bottle and sensible shoes.
Suuuuuper short hike. Kids and old people dig it. Great view out over the lake from up top. Maybe fifteen minutes up with toddlers.
Scenic short hike with panoramic views of Lake Dillon. Perfect for smaller children to hike on their own!
Amazing trail that is relatively short and great for kids/dogs. Beautiful view of the lake and a small pond on top.
Easy trail up only 500 ft on dirt and some rocks. Nice overview of Dillon Lake. Lots of wild flowers. Small lake at the top.
Nice little hike with a great view of Lake Dillon and the surrounding mountains. Only takes about 15 minutes to get to the old reservoir.
Good hike not too hard great views.
Nice short hike. Great views of the lake
Awesome views of the big reservoir and of the gorgeous golden and orange aspens. A short but must do hike.
Its one of the hidden gems of summit county. Its not that its hard to find. Its that you could pass right by and never notice it was there. Which is why I like to go there when I need to find peace and quiet. Walk up to the tiny pond that no one knows looks down on lake Dillon. Watch the Hawks go fishing, burn one, and enjoy.
Great trails for those who like scenic strolls as well as exercising thru nature.
Easy hike with beautiful views of Dillion Resivoir and the ten mile range
Nice short hike with great views. The reservoir itself is anticlimactic and lacks any kind of shade, but its still a pleasant walk.
