Family-friendly chain restaurant featuring Italian entrees along with a wide beer selection.
Great service and excellent pizza. Taste like home.
Clean restaurant, nice waitress, good calzone, although the "meat me" had hardly any sausage and was shockingly low on cheese. Yes, Id order it again.
Internet site for Old Chicago says it is open until 11:00 pm. We walked in the door at 10:06 pm after a long day of driving for a pizza. Told by staff that kitchen closed at 10:00 pm. Why even put hours on your internet site if you don’t honor your published hours. BTW, the hours on the door state they’re open until 1:00 am. The young staff still there were clueless about hours, store policies, customer service. Unfortunately this is a recurring theme with many businesses today. If you’re going to be on the internet, publish the correct information.Info that follows asks dining type, amount spent, etc. total waste of time.
Best Pizza we have had in a long time!
Well, lets see. Traveling thru and looked like a great place to stop in real quick. Since we are traveling 45 states writing our blog on hotels and restaurants, we peeked into the bar and saw it was vacant other then one customer at the bar. We decided to go into the dining area and grab a booth which I fell into the sinking cushion hole. No biggie, we were one of two tables with customers there. We were never greeted although waitress helped the only Table with a customer who was directly next to us. We gave it 12 min. Zero water, dying of thirst. Decided to take our business elsewhere. By the way this place was FAR from understaffed so not an excuse. I wont be including you in our book or blog. I highly suggest stepping up your service. We ate at 946 resteraunts last year alone, sooo we know when its a staff issue or other and so on. And Ive never walked out of a place. Thats saying something.
Very disappointed. Passing through on our way back to NC. Literally got seated and NO ONE came and talked to us. We gave them 12 mins. Didn’t even get a water. One person in the bar and 3 tables. They weren’t understaffed there were about 7 girls literally doing nothing. We could hear them in the back though. That’s pathetic. Walking through and not one person talked to us. We left after 12 mins. That’s beyond our patience. Places close & we don’t have time for poor service. Nope. Don’t want to figure out what their food tastes like or wait 1 hr to get it. Wouldn’t waste your time here. Rude. They didn’t even care when they saw us walk out too. So we came over to copper mill for top notch service.
I have been waiting over an hour after ordering a burger. I used to love coming here for the food and different variety of beer. Each time it has gotten a little worse.. but never this bad. This will be my last visit.
The bartender Bre was a one man show. She had the whole bar area and the bar patrons. Sh was on top of everything and did it with a smile.Hang on to that employee
Loong wait to get seated very long wait for food And even drink refills were slow to come round- they were out of the 1st 3 drinks (common beers so just asked for anything they hadordered which made the wait even longer. They may have been short staffed but... Ive been to other Old Chicagos and the food here was OK not great compared to others. May give them one more try before I no longer return.
I order the Tuscan Chicken pizza every time I stay at a nearby hotel which is often. No lemon dressing on the top of my pizza, but I got a bowl of dry lettuce. I called to inquire why and was told the pizza was made correctly and everything is on it like it supposed to be. Wow, perhaps some customer service training might need to be in the works. Apparently the cook can’t admit to a mistake which wouldn’t cost the restaurant my future business. It was tossed in the trash. What a total waste of money.
Our calzone was delicious!! It was exactly what I wanted. Thank you for a satisfying lunch 😋
Stopped in before a concert for drinks and some Italian nachos. 40 minutes later, still no nachos. No bussing going on - we had to move dirty plates out of the way at the bar and they were still there when we left. Manager comped our drinks before we left which was cool, but being a fan of Old Chicago for many years, this was not a good experience.
Great pizza! I have Celiac Disease so finding great gluten free food is hard, these folks know how its done, cant wait to try the gf burgers next 😋
I ordered a pick up while traveling out of state. Order was supposed to be ready at 5:19. Waited another 10 minutes inside. I had to ask for napkins and they gave no silverware. I ordered Buffalo wings extra crispy. They were not fully cooked, dry and barely any Buffalo sauce on them. They came with two small pieces of celery which looked really old. The the meatball sandwich looks like you’re getting four meatballs, but it’s actually two cut in half. The meatballs were burnt and just did not taste good. The only thing I liked was the side salad. I would never eat here again. We threw half of the $40 meal we paid for in the garbage! Don’t waste your money!
Its old Chicagos the food is good the staff is friendly. We did have a problem with one dish, they offered to replace it and then allowed a swap instead. Great experience.
First time to this location. It feels kinda run down. Bar area is pretty cramped and feels very dark. They were out of 3 of the first 5 mini tour beers I tried to order. Staff seems busy, but not swamped. My server was ok.I love old Chicago, so I will probably come back if in the area, but it would be nice if they were a little better.
Ate here a couple of years ago. Came back through here again and decided to stop again. Extremely disappointed. Food was cold. Fries are never cold they were this time. Twisted chicken was barely warm. Never got fries with grand daughters order. Couldnt explain to waitress she didnt come back until we were ready to leave
Food is good, but the service was very lousy. I had to call the restaurant to get our check and to-go boxes. Then had to wait another 6 minutes for someone to walk by so we could ask to pay. Next time I think we will just leave. Training new employees shouldnt make it take 15 plus minutes to check on your section. Especially when its a Tuesday night and not a busy night
Speg n Meatballs is spicy but has no flavor. Pesto chicken alfredo is bland, has zero flavor.Mozz planks were very good though and our waitress was very nice. The calzone and lasagna was good.We asked that the kitchen be made aware of our bland food in case something was missed in the sauces. They did take care of it on our bill which was very nice.
Do not order the ice cream. It was $1.69 for barely 1/4th of a cup and the flavor did not make up for the quantity.
I had a to-go order , the presentation was lack luster. Everything tasted good. We got the brushetta appetizer but there was a very small amount of tomatoes on top and the balsamic was almost non existent. We also got the Italian herb and butter wings which were pretty good but a little over cooked. The chikcken parm was very well executed ,All in all a good experience.
Ordered Ahead for Curbside Pickup but had to go inside. Great Food at Affordable Prices.
If I could give 2.5 stars, I would. Three stars is mediocre and two stars is poor. Was really excited to try this place after seeing the amount of google reviews. The outside looks nice however the inside needs updating. The hostess knew We came in before another party (she made eye contact with us and we did not walk in at the same time frameand proceeded to sit the party first. This is an fyi for the restaurant in however they would like to use this information. Once sat, both sides of the booth were sunken and uncomfortable. Waited about five minutes until someone approached us. Waited a while for our nonalcoholic drinks. We ordered our appetizer and entrees when we ordered our beverages. In an effort to order the correct amount of food, We were told the individual pizza was plate size. We should have asked which plate size they were referencing. I don’t know why we were told it was enough food for adults. We need unsolved mysteries Robert Stack out here because these pizzas were the size of a PH personal pan pizza. Yes, you’re thinking correctly. The ones we got for free in elementary school for the “Book It” program. FYI- the places I’ve experienced usually use this size on the children’s menu. This pizza starts around 12 buckaroos! If you want to build your own pizza it starts at 11.49 and each additional topping is 1.49. Still excited and eager, we waited at least forty minutes for our two personal pan pizzas. I will say my personal pan pizza was pretty good. It didn’t let me down flavor wise but the price and small size overshadowed it. There were other things that happened during our visit such as the wrong order placed on our table, extra sauces that never came, and there were no napkins, other than the one that came with the fork. They were not busy when we ordered.Happy note: the bathroom is clean.
The help was not friendly, the person who sitted us was short and curt, the food took almost 30 minutes to receive, had to ask for silverware, and the place was slow! Food was ok, we will NOT return. Good Luck...
Pizza was quite delicious, but there were some hiccups in picking up my carry out order. Not much room to stand while awaiting the order. Order was in my hands about 20 minutes after it was promised. BUT ... the food was too notch so worth a try if the place isnt too busy.
Disappointing. Went with our family of 7 around 5ish. Was kind of standoffish about us sitting in dining. Waiter came, and took our drink order, only to have another waitress come to tell us they got their tables mixed up and he didnt know what we ordered. Took about 20 minutes for our food. When it did come, some was the wrong order. Most of the food that was right was bland and warm. Never did get the right food. The wings were good. But wont be back.
Other than an annoying waiter who wanted to stand by our table and talk all night, our visit was great. Our food was served fairly quickly despite a large crowd, and our burger and pizzas were first rate.
Used to be able to get Calzones...one topping for $10.99Picked up two the other day and it was right under $30???🤬They came up with a build your own Calzone...which consists of the bread, cheese, and sauce for $12??? No toppings or meat included??Each topping is $1.49 - $1.99??Seriously? I could of bought two large pizzas for the price I paid for thosr two calzones 🤬
Food was ok, they were out of a lot so had to pick from a limited list. The waitress was very nice and worked both bar and outer table with no waiting delays.
Staff was nice and served me even though their kitchen closes an hour prior to their actual close time (which i didnt know as Im from out of town). That is really the only issue I would have as the people who came after me were rejected food even though the establishment was still open for another hour. I got their hand tossed pepperoni pizza and it was 8/10. They do have a large alcohol selection and I personally only had Dr Pepper soda which I was glad that they carried.
We stopped for a late lunch while driving through the state. We sat at the bar which was more or less abandoned when we got there. It was really slow to get initial service, but was fine after we ordered. Limited gluten free options but they are willing to adapt menu items to make something you want.
Its the old, old Chicago (pre-covidwhere the staff cares and tries to know you, the menu still has the variety, and brews are cold.
First time at Old Chicago. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. I had the manicotti, and it was delicious, although in my opinion it would be better without the pesto. The strong taste of the pesto overpowered the flavor of the manicotti. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. The menu is a little too gourmet for my taste.
The pizza crust was seasoned so deliciously . I was very satisfied with the pizza. We were in large group setting. Our server was attentive, patient and very courteous! I enjoyed my first visit to this location. Well done!
I just ordered on line and it was $13.65 for 4 slices of nothing! I can not believe that they would charge that much money fora kids pizza! I feel like it would have been better to got to Pizza Hut or Casey’s for that matter for half the price and more food!
This place is amazing.. food is deliciously 😋 made with love. Their "Thai Pai" pizza is the one to taste .. definitely recommend a stop over if youre driving through Nebraska. My whole family of 10 really enjoyed.. staffs were super friendly..definitely gonna return for them Pizza 🍕Try it out guys 👍😄😁
Waitstaff was friendly and quick, everyone seemed to be having a good time. The garden salad was fresh and the lettuce was crispy. The calzone wasnt too impressive, it seemed a bit void of ingredients, making it not worth the price. Beer was served quickly and at a perfect temperature.
Came in with a large group of friends and we were able to be seated rather quickly. Everyone had something different from sandwiches to pizza. Our waitress was very polite and did a great job of getting all of our orders right. Food was great and the price was right.
We stopped here while staying at a nearby hotel. We had a group of 9 and we came in kind of late and hungry. They had no problem immediately seating our large group on a busy Saturday night, because they quickly decided to open their party room to seat us. We appreciated the quick thinking and willingness to accommodate. The food and service was top notch and a few of us enjoyed the crafted beers offered as well.
Amazing service by Katie! Great food! Definitely top notch all the way around!! Thank you!!
We visited this evening as we are trading and staying the night at hotel. I was expecting a typical chain experience, but was pleasantly surprised. Our server, Jake, was busy working many tables, but managed to keep on top of all our drink orders, was very professional and friendly, and our food came out at appropriate times and was delicious, we ate every bite. In times were restaurants are struggling to have staff and workers are pushed to their limits, this was an outstanding experience and I would recommend to anyone.
Visited for the first time yesterday and we are so glad we did. Our waitress, Tamina was friendly, professional, and was able to answer all of our questions. All of our food was delicious. So glad we got a chance to try it out!
This was our very first visit here and I was really impressed. The appetizers were WONDERFUL! Hot, fresh and tasty! The waitress knew her menu and her recommendations were spot on after only a couple of questions to what our tastes were. Not only did we love it, they have gained a returning customer.I recommend whether you live there or are coming off I-80, the stop will be worth it.A special shout out to Tamina, our wonderful waitress, who also gained new friends.
Great place for some delicious pizza and beer. The pizza base was amazing. This place is definitely worth a visit. You wont be disappointed.
Have been here a few times. Food is ok but the beer selection is very good!
Loved atmosphere very clean. The music was at the right volume and very universal. There was only one waitress with 7 tables of two or more and she handled it like a champ , she was very personable. The pizza was mighty tasty as well.
Nachos Grande were pathetic. Cheese was cold and chips were stale. They didnt have half the ingredients that were claimed on menu. Husbands cheeseburger and fries were good. The order was also 10 minutes later than they said it would be.
Nice! Food was fulfilling and visually pleasing. Great for the whole family. The bar makes it a nice spot to relax after a long day plenty of options for everyone. Location was easy to find and very close to the interstate.
Family friendly environment with attentive service. While everyone else at my table enjoyed hearty pasta and pizza, I ordered the grilled chicken avocado sandwich with side veggies and dip. It was fantastic!Perfectly cooked chicken breast and crunchy fresh vegetables. Healthy options are definitely available; the menu should please anyone.
My wife and I both get out of work late and love the fact that old Chicago is open late. 1st of this place is clean and up to date, very family friendly. Staff is polite. On this particular night we decided to get burgers at this place...I love there burgers here. We ordered the crafted beer burger. Was a normal pace night busy for a Thursday night especially at 11pm. We got our burgers and for some reason the burgers were super salty. My wife complained...like always....and I decided to agree like always. We asked for our waiter and she said she would talk to the manager. The manager came out and said they don’t put salt in there steak burgers but he said that the onions are salty so he was very sorry and he said he would remake them. I told him to just remake my wife’s burger and he did. Second burger was great! My wife enjoyed it.
