Oka Restaurant - Asian fusion restaurant in Chelsea, United Kingdom
awful service waited an hour for our table even though we booked. waiter neglected us
Great food quality with affordable prices. Super friendly staff 😇 It’s already on my favourite restaurants list.
Been there with colleagues, nice atmosphere, tasty food!
The food is to die for. Lovely staff as well. Im coming back
You should change the musicSushi 8/10 need more varieties and please cook asparagus more
The best Sushi in the UK.I had a great time at Oka. We were served very well by the waitress Luna, we will definitely return
Good value for money as decent size sashimi pieces for example. Actually preferred it to some of the other supposed big bang Japanese places
A hidden gem with amazing food and service. This your average Asian fusion/Japanese food you see the chefs preparing in beside you and several of the dishes were cooked perfectly. Would definitely reccomend.
Great food and atmosphere. Wakame salad could be less sweet
Yummy. Best seaweed salad. I love their nigiri selection & the bulgogi beef bowl was great & flavorful. We sat by the window & the vibes were great.
Totally recommended,a very cosy restaurant, fresh and delicious sushi.
The Sushi was really nice and the place was small cozy and homey. Nothing fancy, but the service was a 5 star service. All the workers were nice and welcoming. Id definitely return to this place again
I have had a great lunch here and the service was very good. The dragon roll and nigiri portions were a little small but well presented and tasty. The grilled miso salmon (with vegetableswas by far the best salmon I have ever tasted in London! Cooked to perfection, succulent and delicious! The chefs (in a tiny kitchen at the backwere preparing all the meals for the restaurant and takeaways, and despite being very busy they were relaxed, cheerful and working in harmony. This place is a little cramped and can get very busy with limited seating so I would recommend you book a table in advance.
Very average, food took well over 90 mins to prepare. Don’t accept orders stating a certain time if you cannot deliver/pick up within that time. I ended up traveling to the restaurant to pick the food up
Staff are lovely, great service and food. The only downside is the constant coming and going of the delivery people which doesnt make for a very relaxing experience. Its a highway of deliveries, in, out, in, out.
I would have rated this 4.5 stars if the restaurant didnt play italian and mexican music. It did really kill the mood and ambience; equally, the service could have been more interactive such as talking about the menu or asking if I needed any guidance. The food was super yummy however; the best Asian food I have had in a while. My beef bulgogi was tender and balanced in flavours. Charging for the chilli oil was a bit surprising, but I was willing. I really enjoyed the spicy mayo on my dragon roll too!I had a window seat, but my legs definitely needed more room. Otherwise I would be happy to go back! And the prices are affordable for most!
Delicious pan-Asian restaurant in the heart of Chelsea. Located on Kings Road, next to few other restaurants, this little gem is worth a visit. Their menu is full of delicious options from sushi, sashimi, ramen and noodles to main courses such as salmon, beef and chicken. The prawn tempura and the California rolls are delicious. The best part of the entire meal is their signature dessert. The cookie dough skillet with icecream.Book in advance as it’s quite a small restaurant.
Good sushi, wouldn’t trust delivery. I ordered off Deliveroo and it never arrived, but they claimed it had. Couldn’t get a refund either since they use their own drivers.
Good, high quality asian. Sushi was good. Chicken katsu nice. Bulgogi beef excellent. Chelsea prices £80 for two with no alcohol! Tables are very close together if thats a concern .Good service and overall pleasant experience
Average Pan-Asian food. I’m always suspicious when I see a restaurant serving Japanese, Mongolian, Chinese, Korean, etc. We had the Korean cauliflower, the Salmon bites, some sushis and then shared a Teriyaki Katsu. Everything was good but nowhere near special, by tomorrow I’ll have forgotten about it. We paid 44£ without drinks for two which is reasonable for the Kings Road. So good, basic and won’t break the bank, but not sure I’d come back. Tables are also stacked so very little privacy in my opinion. Staff and service were good.
Excellent negroni. Extensive range of dishes to choose from. The spicy edamame is probably the best I’ve had of all the Japanese restaurants I’ve tried over the years. Four dishes is probably enough for two at lunch. Reasonably priced and good service.
The food here was terrible, I eat sushi all the time, Ive had sushi in many other places in London and all over the continent. this sushi is not good, not tasty and not to mention the staff. The waitress was beyond rude! Place wasnt even crowded at the time. Dont eat here. Eat anywhere else!
Their food is soooo goood. Best Asian restaurant in London. There waitress were so nice and so helpful even when we arrived late and 2 min before the kitchen closed yet they still served us. You need to try this restaurant, it’s a must !!!!
Happy with the food. The quality was high. So was the taste. Having said that, the waiters and the management need special training. During our lunch on a dreary London day, the restaurant front door was not properly closed and the freezing air was coming through. As we were enjoying our lunch the staff seemed to think this was an appropriate time to take the rubbish out and mop the parlour floor. I believe this is rather unwelcoming apart from nonsanitary. The food makes me want to go there again. The service makes me giving it a miss.
Took a date here, and the cocktails and sushi blew us away. Highly recommend the jalapeno yellowtail (better than nobusand the spicy crunchy tuna roll. We sat at the bar and it was great. Real buzzy atmosphere.
Its okay, im a pretty good foodie, its not the best one I’ve had. All right for everything, my girlfriend ordered the ramen and said she didn’t like it. The sushi was fine, if you like great sushi, dont go here, if you just want an okay sushi for a tuesday Lunch, this is your place. Expensive though for what it is.
The best way to describe this place is that for my european boyfriend this was the best sushi hes had and made him stop disliking it; for me who comes from canada, it was subpar to sushi fastfood chains. The katsuki chicken was dry and honestly? The m&s one is better. In the end we concluded that our meal would have been better if we had spent the money we did (which was a lot because of how expensive this place issolely on their fried calamari.
I ordered a takeaway for 12 girls Baby shower, they delivered the most amazing, delicious food in beautiful ceramic dishes...all looked so lovely. Staff are really helpful and friendly - I highly recommend this restaurant!.
I had the most amazing dinner date with my husband here. While it was a little cramped and super unusual to sit so close to other people (after covid restrictions), the service and the food was worth it. We had to wait for a bout 15 minutes before we were seated, as it was very busy, but it was a pleasant evening for a little stroll so we had no problem with that.Sushi tasted great and the Ramen was perfect. My husband loved his marmite chicken and mochi. We both agreed that this place deserves a 5 star. The team working there is wonderful, very cheerful and polite, despite the super busy environment.Definitely recommend visiting, make sure to book a table in advance, as even on a working day its packed.
“How’s is your food treating you?”, the waiter asked. I guess it would treat me better if I had more sashimi on my sashimi salad plate (£15.50). The food was ‘good’ and the service by our waiter was awesome.
I have dined here a few times and popped in for a very late lunch. The young Irish waiter was excellent, knowledgeable and had great banter and was also very professional.Chefs nailed every dish and we had quite a few dishes. I would highly recommend and will be returning soon. Thanks team for a great lunch.
Largest slice of salmon I have ever seen in a restaurant and absolutely delicious. Melting in your mouth. Very good quality, however can be pricey if you don’t control your spending. Nonetheless will visit again.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the best sushi & rolls I have ever tried, and I have tried a few places. Was recommended this place a while ago by a friend and it has never let me down. Incredibly fresh, flavourful , and meticulously made. Delivery service is always reliable and quick (although you do have to get used to the website ordering system, but after a few orders it’s really easy to use). Special requests are always followed with precision. And absence of delivery fees for local delivery is simply a delightful bonus. Hope this place stays open forever, as sushi and rolls won’t taste the same without OKA. Many thanks to the oka Chelsea team 🙏
Absolutely outstanding food. The sushi is beautifully presented and very delicious, every time. Their quality has never declined. Lovely mains too - chicken and cashew, miso cod and marmite chicken are exceptional. Im so glad this restaurant hasnt expanded or branched out. Its perfect just how it is. Great lunch deal too.
Really enjoy all the sushi, have been there three times after discovering a month ago. Perfect mix of fish, rice and sauce. Tastes like good quality and fresh products. This is my go to place for sushi around work. Good price for value.
Went here for a nice meal with my wife and we had a very very nice meal. We got lots of sushi and they were all yummy. We also got se mains and they were just as good full of flavour. The service was fantastic and the prices was what you would expect in Chelsea very reasonable. We will definitely be going back.
I’m so happy with this experience, I really love the simple sushi with very fresh excellent quality sushi from the rice to the fish. Loved it!!
First time visiting, the sushi was really good I highly recommend the crispy tuna rolls- delicious! Drinks were also very up to standard, the black cod however was very average and more of just a cod with a glaze. Mochi was good but not excellent.
Lovely, quaint place. Friendly and helpful staff. The head chef accommodated for my little niece and allergies and made her something off menu with no fuss. The sushi and the hamachi carpaccio were light and refreshing. Definitely a must try and not over the top fancy like other sushi places. Highly recommend!
Loved this place. Mico black cod cooked to perfection. Cosy place to enjoy some japanese food in a western environment. Definitely will repeat !
Great sushi. The food is superb. Prices are also OK. Will definitely visit again.
The food was great and the place was cute and had a charming vibe to it. The food was delicious and appropriate for the price. I would recommend to the Spider roll and soft shell crab as two of my favourite dishes there. My only call out is that the staff werent super polite and they bought the food out all at the same time as opposed to bringing it out slowly. This gave us the impression that they wanted us to leave quickly.
Found this place while I walked through Chelsea. The Restaurant is not too big we were very lucky to got a place for two. So I highly recommend to reservate a table in advance. The Service is good and the food is delicious. I got the Tuna&Avocado Sushi and Ramen with Beef. Will comw back again!
The food was quite good actually... Chicken ramen is more like chicken and noodle soup rather than a ramen dish. The beef and rice and soft shell crab sushi was our favourite
Oka is a pretty small restaurant but rather cosy.Their mains are great. Very tasty and quite generous portions. There sushi was okay but I had better in other places in London.Their drinks and sake selection was fairly limited.Service was exceptional with the staff being super friendly and attentive!
One of the best sushi spots in London. The best part is the seating downstairs near the kitchen where you can see the chefs preparing the sushi. The bar is also very nice. Mostly - the sushi is just so fresh and flavoursome. The mains are also really delicious including the beef starters. Top!
Sushi... phenomenal. Other mains dishes..hmmm so so. But sushi...oh my days yes.
Exceptional quality of ingredients and flavours, the price is reasonable and the service is very good.Lunch set is £15.50 for a starter, main and tea. A la carte is also available with mains around £12-18. A few option for kids on the menu. The space is neat with the ground level accommodating about 14 and several more seats available near the kitchen on the lower ground floor. If theres a small wait, stick around as food prep is quick and at lunch, so are the diners.A bit tight for a wheelchair but pick up/take away is available.
I have been many times in this nice and cosy restaurant! Good service and excellent sushi! I often order takeaway, definitely recommend.
Delicious salmon nigiri sushi. Great specialty rolls. But the real masterpiece is the Mongolian rack of lamb. We shared one with my girlfriend and it was such a mindblowing experience we had to order a second plate ! My only criticism is the weird cocktails: I tried two different ones and did not like any. It would not hurt to offer classic cocktails alongside your creations.
