Delicious! Very kind and attentive staff. We got there at the perfect time, around 6:30pm on a Saturday night and were sat right away. Loved the Cajun Salmon!! Highly recommend and will be back!

Good service! Great sushi. So fulfilling. They just already add in your tip or gratuity...which makes bill higher

Ordered takeout and a tip was added without my consent. I normally tip on takeout but a tip is OPTIONAL. Bad business practice. Not returning to a place that steals from their customers.

We absolutely love this place :-best AYCE. 10.5 %. + more gratuity for a party of 2, more if its a bigger party. Our bill $87 For 2. Our choices endless practically. The food is to taste, chef s are very well trained skilled in food handling & making. Its diverse mix chefs. The restaurant may be Japanese but the crew is a mixed American culture of employment. I thought that was very wonderful. To see a generation leave a Asian food legacy in California.

Food is hit or miss, sometimes the sushi rice is mushy or not cooked enough. This review is for their pricing..Tonight I paid $90.10!!! It was just my husband and I and yes we ate AYCE and ordered a soda ($2.99but we only ate here because we thought it was the cheaper option. We should have stuck with our first choice, OKOKU 👌🏽Their prices are the same but at Oishii they add 10% gratuity!Look, I understand during the BEGINNING of the pandemic businesses were financially hurt but things have changed. Sure, raise your prices but don’t tack on 10% gratuity for a party of two.

I am so sad to give this restaurant such a poor score. This was once my all time favorite sushi spot, I recently decided to go back and at first was so pleased. Service was friendly, food started off great, and then something completely odd. I started my meal with an order of tuna sashimi. It was delicious, the flavor fresh and a texture that melted in my mouth, ah this is what I have been missing. After ordering a couple rolls I have enjoyed many times in the past I chose to end my meal with another order of tuna. This time however the first piece tasted and smelled very fishy... literally. I immediately but inconspicuously spat it into a napkin, hoping this was an odd one off as I have always had good fish here before I looked forward to the second piece. I also had to almost immediately spit this piece out as well. I am sad that my last few pieces were wasted and even more sad that I have lost faith in my once beloved Oishii. I will not be back again nor recommend this restaurant as no one wants to end up with food poisoning.

Menu isnt as clear as it could be when figuring out what youre ordering, other than that I cant speak highly enough over the menu options and talent of the cook. The wait staff was amazing; it felt like we had 3 different waiters taking care of our needs at once.

Everyone here is really nice and attentive to patrons. The Oishii boat is amazing and is easily shared between 3-4 people. The only downside Ive noticed with this place is that the flavored sakis and soju are always gone. A bottle of warm saki helps

SUPER R U D E !!! Place use to have younger adults working there that were friendly and a pleasure to have around . The new Asian waitress thats married to the Sushi chef is rude, inconsiderate and is not a help. The sushi chefs that are Asian are either miserable, or just rude. The place has gone down hill. Use to go once a week , now we will never return.

I loveee this place but recently they changed their sushi prices for $1-3 more. And they charge Gratuity 10% when I order and pick up food. I don’t know but that’s just ridiculous.

Yeah, wow. The food is okay, definitely not a bad place in that regard. However, the service has never been good. At best, weve been treated fine, but usually, no matter who I bring there, were treated with a huge attitude problem. There was a miscommunication with our order and it was NOT handled well by the waitstaff. They just repeated themselves over and over and clearly were just already over interacting with us. Another waitress came over and smacked the food down on the table and walked away with a huff. It was like every possible interaction that could be had left a bad taste in our mouths.Despite the fact we split the check between the AYCE people at our table and the non-AYCE people, they charged everyone with automatic 15% gratuity. They did NOT do thisto us last time we came, so either it was an unfortunately-timed change in policy, or they were just being a little extra with us on top of everything else. Finally, they just didnt bring our cards back. We sat there for a while, at minimum ten minutes, without a word, and one of the waitresses just wordlessly started taking our plates from our table, like a not-so-subtle "get out of here already." We eventually just had to get our cards ourselves by requesting them from the woman at the front desk.We usually just deal with the snark we get there because its a convenient spot, and weve even defended this place to friends that have already written this place off, but I think this final experience put the nail in the coffin.Tl;Dr, if you dont care how youre treated, its a good place to go. If you like being treated well and your food being great, go to Pacific Cabin.

This place has gone downhill severely. Been coming here for over 10 years and my family and I decided not to return anymore. The waitress on our last visit twice dropped off items that we did not order -- didnt even look at us as she dropped the food off. The other waitress was extremely rude and instead of asking nicely would just stare at us until we handed her empty plates. They dropped off the incorrect AYCE paper and forgot two of our orders despite it being written down... The restaurant wasnt even at half capacity during this time so I am unsure how there was so much confusion. The sushi rolls had loose and messy rice, the tuna was STRINGY, and it is wayyyyy overpriced. $90 for 2 people for some sub par sushi and a hot green tea is abysmal considering the quality of the food and service. Gratuity is manditory & added by the restaurant. It was not worth the tip which we were forced to pay (I would have tipped regardless however because they must not pay their employees full wages since the gratuity is manditory - perhaps this explains the terrible service). Everything was doused in sauce which always makes me wonder about the freshness of the raw fish. Will definitely be finding a new "spot" for sushi unfortunately.

The food is usually very good. Especially the green mussels. However there were two waitresses that were new to me. The one was kind of portly and had a bad tableside manner. The other was slim. (Not that it matters). Just a way of defining the difference. I told the 1st girl that I need non-sugar sweetener for my tea. She didnt bother to look and gave me the impressionthat she didnt care. Just said we are all out. I waived down the 2nd girl, who was extremely kind and she went in the back of the restaurant and found some sweet and low for me. This is why gratuities should be on an as-earned basis. 4 stars because the 1st waitress didnt care.

Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had my whole life! Taken the waiters 40min to take my order even though they knew I came in for the (All you can eat). After I finish round one of the all you can eat, it has taken them a whole hour for one of the waiters to ask if I want another round of sushi. There’s about 6 waiters and all they do is just stand around and talk amongst themselves and avoid doing there jobs. It’s a place of business not a social club. I’ve taken a photo of the waiters just standing around and not doing there jobs. The only time when they were quick on there feet is when the customer has to pay. If you’re looking for mediocre sushi, terrible customer service, and want to sit around for hours for someone to take your order then look no further then Oishii Sushi.

Update: went there last week and we paid $71 for two AYCE. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. Looking for a new AYCE sushi place for sure.I love this place. I used to go to Hello Sushi in Riverside, but once covid hit, they stopped doing AYCE. The staff is always very friendly and their rolls are so good. Its best to go when they first open bc they get pretty packed. The only thing I dont like about this place is the tip is already included in the bill. They tell you that youre paying $33 for AYCE, then when its time to pay, the bill is $40.

Just awful. Good luck getting any service. Rest assured, however, they will still charge you a mandatory 15% gratuity.Me and my girlfriend shared one napkin, invisible plates, and menu with sauce on it from previous diners. At one point, she dropped a piece of sushi on the unclean table and I had fear factor it into my mouth, lest I be charged a leftover fee. Go to R91 or OKSushi instead.

The place is pretty small and there is no waiting area in the restaurant. We went to dinner on a Friday night, got seated relatively quickly. We got 2 AYCE dinners and chicken bowls for the kids. The service was OK, it felt kind of rushed at times and brushed off. One of the servers brought over our order of muscles and they accidentally slid the muscles off the plate, it was no big deal, as he was able to fix it, but the guy didnt even bother to apologize, just acted like nothing happened. The sashimi was well cut and flavorful! The rolls themselves were underwhelming, no flavor popped and the rolls had way too much rice on them. The rice also tasted like steamed rice with no seasoning or flavor. We probably will not return, but we noticed it is populatlr with the college crowd.

Wow I couldnt belive that at first they were refusing to give me a table for 1. As if a person couldnt take themselves out to eat alone. Then the unagi was horrible it was warm and had bones in it. I guess thats OK for some people but Ive had way better sushi and services at other places. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone

Eh, used to love this place. My baby sis brought me here when I first moved to town and it was easily the best sushi around. Theyre still pretty darn good, but for some reason I get an incredible amount of bones in any dish with eel. It hasnt just been once, this is now time number 4. Every other item and fish they offer is killer, but if you cant prepare eel right, dont serve it.

My wife and I have been coming to this place for years but havent been there in a while this past year. That being said what has changed is theyre giving themselves a 10% tip. I found that very irritating I usually give 15% but just the fact that I didnt have a choice in the matter was very irritating I know myself I probably wont be coming back just cause of that reason. Theres many more sushi places to pick in Riverside time to explore.

Called and they didn’t answer the phone at 1245 lunch time- no voicemail either. Would be nice if it told you if they are open or not. Went anyway and even their signs on the door are confusing. There is no outdoor seating. When you go inside there is a sign that says do not enter. Other sign says wear mask when not at table and temperature checks before being seated. Just confusing. During non Covid times it is a very positive experience.

I am so glad my sister brought me here. Sushi was super fresh and delicious and amazing selection for all you can eat price. Both the sashimi and rolls are perfectly proportioned. A nice and big piece of salmon sashimi on a small portion of rice not like the usual huge brick sized block of rice other restaurants serve was my favorite. The baked muscles as appetizers are a must try, as well as the escolar sashimi, lobster roll, and baked salmon roll. Everything came at a great pace even though it was a crowded night. The staff was amazing as well and super friendly and prompt to clear dishes. I cant wait to go back!

The food was actually very good. the tight seating orders and the bench that they call it boo thats not all that comfortable. And I sat within very close quarters of an AC unit in the corner. The only other is the first round of Rose came out very quickly... Almost too quickly. The second round took a very very long time. While we were here it seemed their staff cut in half in time take twice as long. Their service was fairly good drinks were always full and the food was good so they still got this rating from me and I will probably come back but just expect to spend a little time here.
