Oishi Sushi and Grill in Dothan

I tried this place for the first time today and was pretty impressed. I tried the bulgogi since so many reviews recommended it and it was great! The salad dressing was amaaaaaazing, and the yum yum roll I got was pretty good as well.

You lost a customer today over $2.I ordered two adults meals to go and tried to order a child’s meal for my daughter. I was told I could not order a child’s meal to-go. I had to buy her the adult portion.I can understand not letting someone order just a kids meal, but it was obvious that I was also feeding two adults.

The sushi is decent, if uninspired. Service is slow and disappointingly unattentive,and the price is a bit high for what you get. There are better sushi places in Dothan, and better AYCE sushi options as well.

Love this place. The sushi is so good and everytime I’ve been the staff have been super nice. The place is also super clean every time I’ve been! One of my fav spots in Dothan

My husband enjoyed his Bulgogi bento box, but my sushi was incredibly bland. I was disappointed.

My favorite place! I have shared this restaurant with many friends and family. Always great food and fast service, the take-out window is especially handy.

Absolutely best sushi in Dothan hands down. I drive about 30min. once a week to eat here from Marianna its so good. There all you can eat sushi option is a unbelievably good deal considering the quality of there sushi and appetizers that are also included. When I go I will order 3 of there salads with house dressing,I dont know whats in that dressing but I could nearly drink the stuff its so good and it comes out ice cold with super crisp lettuce. The wait staff is always really friendly and attentive to our needs. Also if you dont like sushi there grilled hibachi is excellent as well, try the bulgogi you wont be disappointed. Next time you want sushi and hibachi go to Oishi you will love it!

The food is very good and flavorful. The fried ice cream is amazing. Kids meals are very large portions. However the customer service is not good at all. We had to go up to the counter to get menus for our table, after we had been seated for 20 minutes. Also had to ask for utensils. Waitress stood at one end of the table and passed each of our plates to my father to pass around. Nonetheless, I would most likely return for the food. Just be ready to serve yourself.

Food was absolutely delicious.. sushi was very fresh.. my husband and i ate here for the 1st time and we were very happy with the all you can eat.. left extremely full.. definitely recommend.. will be coming back for more sushi.. good price for amount of food we got..

Great service, great food, good timing. I haven’t been on a busy day but when I’ve gone I have felt totally cared for! Our favs were the bulgogi, volcano roll, gyoza and mexican orgasm 😉. Pictured is the red dragon (it was okay).

My wife and I were skeptical when pulling up to the restaurant. But based on reviews we decided to give it a try. And we are glad we did the food was delicious and the staff was friendly. Bring a jacket they keep it pretty chilly inside.

Im actually upset looking at the pics of others or that this place posted because wow. Im a huge sushi fan..huge. I go to a place in Marianna every wk with good tips. This was gonna be my new go to since we work in Dothan everyday but NO. my food came to my table with mainly RICE. Some my rolls had no fish at all. ... like who does this? We didnt look fancy to come here but ummm we just got off work. Why would they have great pics posted then serve me shii like this....??? Lol its not allowing pics at the moment. Funny. Just note if u get all u can eat buffet be prepared no fish or barely any.

Probably the best all you can eat sushi in the area. Other places have fish sliced so thinly that you can read a newspaper through the slices. The sushi chef does a great job in both preparation and presentation. Servers are always attentive and friendly. Beverage selection is good. Definitely my favorite in Dothan.

Everything I’ve had here is delicious and the staff is so kind! Don’t let the outside of the building turn you away. Very clean and nice dining area! This is a regular for us now!

OMG! The fried rice that this place serves is so good. So far, I have tried every place in Dothan that sells fried rice and this place will always get my money for this dish. Their sushi is also fulfilling! Try it!!

Food was not very good. Especially for the price. We ate here back when it first opened and it was very good. After we ate this time we wished we wouldve waited for one of the other Japanese restaurants to open.

Went in on based on great reviews. Super glad we did! Staff was super friendly, and the food was TOP NOTCH. Sushi was fresh, gyoza tasted homemade, and the tempura had just the right crisp. We were just passing through today, but I can assure you the next time we come into Dothan, we will bring bigger appetites and get the all you can eat option! 🍣 🐟 🥟 🍤 🥦 🍠

I have eaten many a piece of sushi at the age of forty years young.... and tonight I tried the best from Oishi for the first time. I died and went to heaven and came back again. Do not pass this restaraunt by. If you order takeout, you will not be disappointed.Amen.

Oishi is a quiet restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. With friendly servers and minimal wait times, the service is always great . There is a large variety of sushi as well as other delicious entrees. There is also a kids menu!

Sushi are fantastic. Will be back

Im always a little apprehensive when a sushi place offers an all you can eat option on the menu. As the buffet rule states, higher the quantity, lower the quality. Thankfully this was not the case. The Sushi was quite good, and while it wasnt the best Ive ever had, it was still quite good, and a steal at the all you can eat price. Plus it includes tempura icecream. How can you not give this place 5 stars?

When my wife and I first pulled into the parking lot we were reconsidering our choice for dinner . The buildings exterior is a little beaten down, parking area is not maintained and the McDonalds next door seemed like the better option. We took the chance and entered the restaurant anyway. We were quickly greeted by the hostess who escorted us to our table. The interior of the restaurant is quite large. Plenty of room for social distancing.The waitress who was serving us, was very polite and helpful. The food was very good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to eat sushi/hibachi in the Dothan Alabama area. There is an all you can eat option for just under 30.00 per person. If you ask, you can try smaller samples of multiple types of sushi, sashimi and appetizers.I have zero regrets about trying this restaurant and if I am ever cursed with having to visit Dothan Alabama again, this will be a dinner destination.

Tried the Spicy Bomb, Hurricane and Autumn Special and loved them all! Friendly service as well! Not thrilled about the fried ice cream however.

I like sushi. The owners are very nice. 🍣 🍣😋😚. This will probably be my to go to place now that my favorite location no longer does sushi. Not that talkative, but I always get a pick up, so it doesn’t concern me. That playboy roll is on a whole nother level. Also, the spicy tuna is not that bad at all. Almost trying all of them except the vegetable ones or the no carb ones, those two are probably my favorite. Then they got the fried sushi options too. All the ones I tasted, were pretty tasty. They also have poke, expensive, but delicious poke. Not sure if they still do the poke combination. Will check it out.

The food was GREAT, the place is extremelyclean & waitress and staff were very friendly & and accommodating. Its all you can eat sushi & I would recommend getting one appetizer and one sushi roll because it is a lot of food. Everything was delicious and I will be back soon.

Dont judge this restaurant by its exterior. Go inside and try all you can eat sushi! On the order sheet, not all of the rolls that are deep fried are labeled as such. The tuna tataki looks super good but be advised that it tastes like citrus. My excitement went from high to "what the"...in one bite. Ask about what the 2 different price points entail. We didnt know and it was not explained well so unfortunately we did the lower price option but would have done the higher one once we figured it out by the end of our meal. Some items are better than others. Bring a few people so you can sample more.

All you can eat sushi for $25!!! I go here regularly about once a month and get my grub on for the low low.

Every piece of sushi I put in my mouth was fantastic. I was on a business trip when I found this gem. I will stop there again every time Im in that area.I ordered too many rolls to tell you want I ate. My favorite was called the fantastic 4.

Spectacular sushi! The all-you-can-eat option is absolutely worth it, as the rolls come out fresh and delicious. The variety of options is fantastic, and so many rolls are unique and refreshing.I came with a large group, and the staff was very nice, attentive, and friendly. A fantastic experience.

Amazing food with amazing presentation, hands down some of the best sushi Ive had. The cooks are a treat to speak with and very polite. The waitresses were very attentive and kind. Prices were extremely fair and overall I had a fantastic experience here. If Im ever back in the area I will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend.

Great tasting sushi rolls and very nicely presented. The all you can eat option is well worth it at $21.95 each person. From the outside you wouldnt expect the restaurant to be so nice, but the interior is nicely decorated and laid out. The staff is very friendly.

I came here for my Birthday the food was ok...the California rolls where ok but the rainbow rolls was fresh...salad was fresh...I also had the hibachi grilled steak and shrimp was good the rice was not so good...taste like plastic

Great sushi.. Great Service. Traveling for work and discovered this joint. Tried the Tuna Poke, Spicy Tuna Roll and Spicy Bomb. The Tuna Poke was fresh and delicious. The sushi was equally tasty. The service was great. Atmosphere is open and bright.

Excellent casual dining experience. Enjoyed the freedom of all you care to eat off of the menu for a single set price--about $27 per person, which is reasonable for sushi. The quality of the was excellent. Sierra, our server, was very attentive, friendly and helpful. We were guided through our evening with great recommendations and food was brought out at a pleasant pace, such that there was rarely empty dishes on the table. We look forward to making this one of our regular places. We did not bring our children, but this would be a place that we could easily bring our three boys.

Great lunch prices. Sushi rolls are amazing and fresh. I make it a point to stop by every time I am working in Dothan.
