This place is fantastic and Im not easily impressed! The food is very fresh, the staff is super friendly and hospitable, and they were very accommodating with suggestions/modifications to menu items.Definitely give it a try! Roger runs a great place!

Great place. Very good vibe, and the food was excellent. Also, one of the only places that makes drinks with a good amount of alcohol! Highly recommend.

Good food, great service. It was recommended by our air b&b to eat here and it did not disappoint. We also tried all of the desserts and they were all quite good. I couldnt recommend this place enough.

Highly recommend checking this place out for great sushi and even better tapas ( Salmon was by far the best and the most fresh on the west coast). Service was impeccable.

Really nice food and cool location. Super friendly staff and good vibes. Only thing what we didnt like was while we are Eating our starters the main courses arrived at the same time. This was happening on 2 nights and we asked for time twice. We are foodies and we take our time to enjoying our meals. Unfortunately we had to eat really fast because we dont like cold food... But this is not happening only at ohanas is unfortunately a normal thing in Costa Rica. Only a few restaurants in Jacó give you some time to eat... Anyway, good food, excellent service. Work on this and your are perfect 😅😅😅

Unique and dope place in jaco! I would definitely come back to try more things. Can remember specifically the sushi names, but one had steak on the inside and the other had shrimp topped with avocado (posted pictures loland they were decent. The middle one is named no regrets though.I didn’t care for the calamari as it was too chewy for me but my husband enjoyed it. Loved the batter though. The miso soup was probably the best I’ve had in a while, rich and not overly salty. Enjoyed my ginger margarita and the bartender was great! Get there early or catch a bar seat.

We ate here on a rainy Tuesday evening, and while the restaurant was pretty full, the staff made room for us and made sure that we were comfortable. We ordered several pairs of nigiri that were well priced and incredibly fresh, as well as a couple of sushi rolls that were equally delicious. Highly recommend if youre in the area!

I hate giving bad review to (seeminglynice people. But this is not a sushi place, it looks like a sushi, has some fish I guess, but doesn’t resemble taste of sushi.I had 10 niguiri and I don’t think anyone of them was freshly made. The unagi (eeland scallops where flame-seared but cold, that means they flame-seared it before to prepare and then put it in the fridge for when someone orders it. Tuna had no color anymore. Rice was salty.Not sure how people gave it good score, but they never had real sushi before and probably think 7-11 sushi deserves 4.5/5Edit: I do not know why the review was published late. I actually remember I gave it (3 starsbut when I checked now it was 1 star (so I changed it back). I visited it in Feb/2022. To the owner - glad you removed the unagi as your team didn’t do justice to it.

The food speaks for itself, absolutely delicious!!! Happy I found this charm of a place. Cool vibes, amazing food. Vegan options were so flavourful 😋If you go to Jaco, you must try this spot.

Went a couple times because we were really impressed by the sushi. The details are all really good (the temperature and cut of every bite is excellent, for example), the produce and fish seem to be consistently really great, and the price is very reasonable for how great the quality is.The tuna summer rolls and "magic" mushroom rolls were both to die for though. I really recommend you try both. I almost couldnt believe how good the quality and portion of tuna in the summer roll was (not to mention a good preparation), and the magic mushroom roll was the most flavorful vegetarian roll I have ever had. Just texturally and flavorfully delightful. It might be my favorite thing we tried, and we tried quite a few things.The most different thing we tried was a green curry. It was quite unique and certainly didnt taste like any other Thai-style green curry I have had. Like much Costa Rican food, it wasnt even faintly, vaguely spicy when ordered at medium spice, so maybe try hot and add your own peppers to taste. It also didnt have any notable classic fermented fish stink and I dont think the base had shrimp paste. Much more complex-vegetable-forward aroma. It was quite tasty, however. Only downside was the rice served with it wasnt great, just ok (but all the rice in our sushi was top-notch, no worries).

Oh my goodness. How to describe this place. So delicious, so accommodating and so friendly. We were our last night in Costa Rica and Jaco and decided we had to try this sushi. Never did we think to make any reservations on a Friday night. However, our party of six was promptly accommodated by adding a new table with special seating on the curbside. Everything we tried was over the top delicious. I wish we had another night to try out more of the menu. The wait staff and ownership went out of their way to make us feel so welcome and invited. Top marks for everyone and top marks for a truly bargain and a remarkable vacation experience.

Best sushi in Jaco for sure. Ive been to Japan and Ive lived in Asia for 2 years. This is legit. Just go! And I highly recommend the No Regrets roll 👌🏼

AMAZING. Unique, delicious sushi in a fun environment. Probably some of the best sushi we’ve ever had. Service was phenomenal and the bartender was a lot of fun. Drinks were top notch btw. If you’re in Jaco, you have to try this tucked away sushi cafe!

Had a really good lunch here. Prices seemed fair. My wife had chicken curry and it was a large portion. We would definitely return if in the area

I found the white fish sashimi to be quite chewy, I’d go for the tuna instead. Seafood was fantastic, but the dish is very rich, so I probably wouldn’t order it if you were on a diet. The broth was flavourful and the seafood was not over cooked. I had plenty leftovers to take home.

Came here twice during our vacation because we loved this place so much! Very friendly staff and delicious food. As a vegetarian they had lots of options for me, vegan too! Also the garlic edamame was the best I’ve ever had. Love that its off the main road so a bit quieter. Highly recommend if you’re in Jaco and a sushi lover!

The food here is wonderful! I eat a lot of sushi in general, but I was impressed by the creative ingredients and combinations at this restaurant. There were a lot of options to choose from, and the price was decent. Definitely worth it!

Absolutely incredible restaurant. I was visiting Costa Rica, 5 hours away, and made a point to stop over in Jaco before heading home just to eat here again because I remembered the quality of food and service. The food is delicious and so fresh, the menu is exciting and the staff is so fun and accomodating. Also, get a cocktail here. Get 2, then get 2 more. Eat here and enjoy!

Super cute restaurant that’s really close to the beach! They have so many options for sushi and bowls that can also be vegetarian or vegan! We had such a great night here and the staff was incredible! It’s a little expensive but definitely worth it.

Taste is just awesome.. super quality sushi and we liked it very much.. price is little on the higher side. Tried the Philly and Big Tahuna. Both are great.. Price makes me feel like Sushi is only for rich. Ambience is not very great. Not coming here back because of the price

Great spot for sushi. The quality is great. The rolls are creative and also some of the favorites/popular from the states. Came here 2x and brought friends. That owner abs staff are very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend it.

They have such a big menu packed with really good stuff. It was hard to choose. We got a few things and were happy. The dessert and drinks were also good.

Its a good place, the food and staff were great. If (IF!!!you are from a city with exposure of good sushi, such as Vancouver or Shanghai or any other Japanese city, than this place is slightly over-rated. Dont get me wrong -still one of the best in town!

AMAZING! My family and I came back twice the food was so good. We had the veggie spring rolls and Karaage chicken for appetizers- absolutely delicious. I also recommend the Shrimpy maki rolls and the teriyaki salmon dinner. Those were our favourites but other maki rolls were great too! The sushi was so fresh.the servers and cooks were super nice, friendly atmosphere :)

This place was INCREDIBLE. the taste was so fresh and perfect. Highly recommend making reservations because it is full each time we walk past. The service is a little slower than the US but its worth the wait. Highly recommend the Hot Chili Wok with chicken!

Great sushi! The service is good, the coctails are natural, and the sushi is just great.I recommend for the Caipirinha for drink, and the hot tuna roll, big Philly roll.Prices are totally fine.

My family said it was the best. Me... well I dont like my food touching. Though everything tasted wonderful. Staff was friendly and fantastic. Prices not too bad. The presentation was first class. Highly recommended if you do sushi.

We had the best time at Ohana Sushi. First of all the whole staff were the sweetest, the service was above and beyond. The food of course is delicious, especially anything with tuna- super fresh.

We went to Ohana for dinner after reading the great reviews it has, and it didnt disappoint. Sushi was as great as people praise, but it isnt the best for a long shot.Book in advance, the night before if possible, because it is small and does get fully booked almost every night. You should also know that youre going to have to wait at least 45 minutes for your food: they have a small kitchen. Last "complaint" is the sushi wasnt was cold as I would have wanted it to be, it was at room temperature.All that aside, we order a red tuna starter which was the recommendation of the waiter, and it was incredibly tasty. The drinks we order were great, as was the sushi.It is pricey but not too pricy for a fancy sushi place. Youre definitely getting your moneys worth (and that is a lot to say in Jaco because many places are obsenely overpriced). Ideal for couples, and definitely would recommend.

Simply amazing food! We had sushi (hot tuna), chilli chicken wok and reef salad. All three dishes were perfect! The smoothie (pineapple orange gingerand the hibiscus ice tea were so tasty! The waitresses and the chef are nice and so friendly! Huge recommendation!!! And prices are very fair too.

Little restaurant near the beach, the place is really small. The service is good and the rolls are regular. Its not the best sushi you will have. The prices are fine.

Amazing. Considering that there are two sushi restaurants I love in Montreal (and one in Vancouver), this place is in my « top 3 or top 4 » (for sushis). The guy who welcommed us is also the one who prepared the sushis. I believe he is the owner and I can say that he is very kind. The atmosphere is nice and, for US$115 (including an US$8), we have been able to test everything we wanted to test. Lots of money for Costa Rica but it was worth it (when you think that we were 6 persons eating sushis (including two kids who love eating sushis)). Highly recommending the place.
