Oh, Mamma! This place was an incredible find for a traveling Chef finding himself in the South Bend area. These ladies made me look like a hero at a corporate event for 60 people. The quality of product and service are absolutely at top of game. They perfectly pre-cut the cheeses and sliced all of the meats. Everything was set up for me to make an awesome display. Also included was a delightfully curated selection of bread, condiments, and olives. Oh, and on both of my visits, they wouldnt let me leave without a sandwich, just like Mamma.

Knowledgeable about their meats and cheeses. Their pricing is fair to good, slightly below average from the places Ive been. Its still pretty easy to drop 50-75 bucks in about 5 minutes. Well worth it. If you are a foodie in south bend, Ive no doubt you will find something to please your taste buds here.This goat cheese chèvre and some crusty bread really is my go-to... everything else is just bonus.

And the owner is a great teacher about the magic of cheese and reccoem dations on hownto maximize the flavor!

Staff was very welcoming and took the time to answer any questions I had. I ordered the daily special and it was hands down some of the best food Ive had in this town. The staff are passionate about what they do and it shows in the taste. Great place to pick up some meats and cheeses to boot.

This shop will make you want to move to South Bend. They have a fantastic variety of cheeses, meats, jams, etc. they make sandwhich E’s for lunch, charcuterie plates and much more.And they have a monthly subscription and for June for $25 you get 4 different types of cheese for the “small” subscription.The staff is super nice, and really helpful.

Friendly and helpful staff. You can tell they really take pride in what they do. It seemed like most of the customers were locals and regulars. When the lady behind the counter learned it was my first time there, she offered me a free mini cannolo. I dont live nearby, but if I did Id definitely return.

For Christmas, our family received an amazing meat and cheese tray with a container of olives, sun dried tomatoes, and ricotta cheese with a fresh baked loaf of bread. Phenomenal doesn’t even begin to describe how good this food is!!!

Literally the best deli and cheese shop Ive ever been to. Locally owned by family who is connected to the slow food movement, and studies cheesemaking with masters. The woman running the shop today was knowledgeable and passionate, helpful but restrained. We were able to sample the cheeses we were interested in, and ended up spending more than we intended. And gladly! You should see my haul. Ill be in cheese and mortadella heaven for the next month. Cant wait to go back for more.

Now that weve discovered this place we visit it weekly! I always get one of their pressed sandwiches and I am NEVER disappointed. Ive had their 3MC (three meat and cheese), their veggie (which is surprisingly my favorite), and carrots SODs (sandwich of the day). I often go home with a few things from their selection of cheese, olives, or other deli items too. If youre looking for a family meal theyve also got lasagnas, sausage & peppers, or a few other things to take home and serve, not to mention cannolis or other sweet treats for dessert. Its farm-to-table, and its DELICIOUS! I love supporting this local business and the food does not disappoint.

The people here were really nice and helpful. I got some great cheese from the local cheese maker J2K Capraio and some other good stuff to go with it.

We live in this neighborhood and LOVE this cheese shop. Our favorite parts are the party trays they provide and of course all the different cheeses. They pack a charcuterie board that we bring to almost all carry-in type meals and parties that we attend. They are always a hit!

One of the best little specialty delis we’ve ever been to! Amazing selection of unique and authentic Italian specialties. European style breads, cheeses, meats, jams, olive oils- anything your foodie heart could ask for. The fresh to order sandwiches and paninis are outstanding and so is their customer service! We’ll be back as soon as we’re in the area again!

Dont even get me started on this place, first of all best sandwiches ever man I love them and they got some of the nicest selection of cheeses and jams super cool shop. Not to mention the service is pretty awesome, even if theyre swamped with customers they still take the time to make sure youre taken care of. All and all a super great place (LOVE THAT GREEN CHEESE)

Lunch specials are fresh and flavorful. The flavors of those sandwiches are transformative!!! But they pale in comparison to that sweet homemade cannoli!!

So many wonderful cheeses available along with great sausages. Your go to place when you want to make a great antipasto tray or charcuterie tray. But it also has much more. Delicious sandwiches and Italian. Right around corner from South Bend farmers market so we always have to stop at both!!

Oh Mammas On the Avenue lunch menu is always "turnt up" with new, fun and fresh flavors that stimulate the taste buds and solve all of your stomach cravings. I am a huge fan of their cured meats, olives, deli salads and sandwiches. Oh Mamas is a must for the foodie in your life. Take them they will not be disappointed...I promise!

I love everything about this place. The people are friendly and helpful. The selection of cheese and other things is excellent. Ive only tried one thing from the lunch menu, a sandwich, which was delicious!

A lovely little shop, in the style of European specialty shops. Their staff is knowledgeable, efficient and very friendly. The cheese choices are varied and incredible! We chose 6 different cheeses today, including a lovely farmhouse feta from J2K Capraio (one of our familys favorites).

Excellent meats and cheeses. Excellent service. They get very busy and it can be a wait but they do acknowledge you. I have had them choose a custom sandwich for me resulting in some incredible tasting sandwiches. Some of the cheeses can be on the pricey side but they are my occasional treat and so worth it.

Really enjoyed my visit. They were great explaining the many cheeses. Im new to cheese tasting and its many varieties. Im looking forward to returning and enjoying a new flavor.

Finally got around to stopping in and wow just WOW. The prices were good, the staff was knowledgeable. Lauren was great and super helpful. I cant believe I havent stopped in sooner but the bf and I already know this is going to become a regular spot for sure.

Great shop with an amazing deli counter with gourmet meats and cheeses. I had an Italian sub for lunch that was out of this world. The owner was working at the counter was was incredibly nice and helpful. Highly recommend this place.

Delicious little deli. Came into town for work and needed a quick stop before heading back to the office. Sandwiches were so tasty and the bread was amazing! Very fresh bread. Got the Italian with muffaletta topping, toasted. Small sitting area with tables and a stool bar. Dont let the outside view scare ya off!The service was wonderful and very helpful in answering questions. A great local dining spot. "Oh mamma!" Thats what youll say walking in to this tiny Italian delicatessen. Offering a large selection of imported cheeses and salamis along with local goods, this little diner is a place you must visit. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of their products. My wife and I had two cheese panini (one with muffuletta salad and the other with a fruit jam). We also tried goat cheese filled cherry pepers and olive cheese and salami antipasto. Soooooo good!

Thank goodness for Oh Mamma’s. There is nothing like it anywhere in our area. I would give them 10 stars if possible. This is a great cheese/deli/italian food products shop near the farmers market in South Bend. There is some seating to eat there if you want. The sandwiches are awesome. Canoli and gelato are available. This shop is locally owned and they source local products as well. They make their own goat cheese. Very yummy. They are reasonably priced and the staff are very helpful. You cant go wrong shopping here. Its also a great place to buy evoo. (Extra virgin olive oil)😁

Ob. sessed. Two words, on purpose. When I first moved to the Sunnymede neighborhood, I was told to immediately go to Oh Mammas for a cheese sandwich. I ignored the advice, because I thought "its a cheese sandwich." It took me a few months to try it out. I feel like there should be another word for their cheese sandwiches, because they are INCREDIBLE. I love the options for my children and family, their pasta salad is amazing, as well as their olives, feta and chevre. My children grew up on Colby Jack prior to Oh Mammas, now they appreciate real quality cheese. Whenever I bring a container of Chevre or Farmhouse Feta home, it does not last long. I love the yogurt line they carry as well which is very fresh and delicious. I have attempted to re-create the Oh Mammas sandwich at home with mixed results. Also LOVE their salami and pepperoni products and look forward to gifting family some delicious cheese/meat boxes for holidays and birthdays. An absolute GEM. Just recently renovated, absolutely fantastic owners, if you love cheese, you gotta go!

A wonderful local deli, owned and operated by the family. They also carry their own line of cheeses and cured meats, made at their farm nearby. In addition to the small but essential and excellent selection of meats (local, domestic, and imported), cheeses, and bread, they also carry house-made lasagne, the best buffalo mozzarella in the area, and an assortment of other Italian delectables. Its also a great lunch spot.

I travel for work and when I’m in the area I love to stop by this deli and have one of their sandwiches. They are made to order and the food is delicious. The have a nice selection of antipasto salads and the choices of olives are delicious for an aficionado. They have a nice selection of cheeses. They also have a small selection of imported items that are great as well.

My wife and I just stopped in here for lunch... WOW!!! We recently went to Rome on our honeymoon and we fell in love with the sandwich shops all over the place. True you can get paninis and other Italian style sandwiches in other places, but none of them quite get it right around here. At Oh Mammas you wont have the roof of your mouth cut from over toasted sandwiches. Why? Because they slice their meat and cheese to proper proportion and dont over stuff their sandwiches. Additionally, they use a healthy portion of oil on the bread. They really shine in their toppings though. We both got the eggplant as we found something almost identical in Rome and ate it almost every day. We never thought wed find the equivalent back here in South Bend, but we have! They have hard to find cheeses and meats, and a great selection of Italian soft drinks and water (SAN BENEDETTO!!!!!). Great things I saw that Ill return for: hand made frozen lasagne by the pan, gelato, FROZEN BREAD DOUGH!!!

First time visit to this great little place.It was getting close to lunch time and after reading all the other Yelp reviews about this place, I was getting more hungry by the minute and decided I needed to try this place out. Im so glad I did....Small, quiet, place with a nice selection of sandwiches, gelato, cheeses, meats and yes, FREE samples!I had the 3 meat Italian panini with spicy Gardiana mix and it was excellent! The sandwich was made with homemade Italian bread, spicy flavor from the Gardiana mix, YUM! Miriam was sweet and made my sandwich perfect! She also very helpful in answering any of the questions I had about their products.They have a selection of drinks, pop or Italian flavored sodas, but not much for someone looking for sugar free option...only Diet Pepsi that I could see. You can add a drink or chips for $1 to the cost of your sandwich if you want.They have a nice selection of cheeses, meats, olives and other imported products. The prices were not indicated on the meats and cheeses, which I would prefer, but Miriam was able to provide that information quickly. I bought some hot Coppa to take home, $14.99/lb, definitely worth it.Small store right off the street, not much parking, they do have a bike rack.I would definitely go back here for lunch if Im in the area again!

The service is outstanding! The food is even better! What a great unique place to treat yourself to. There are samples at the door to try as you wait. The choices change on the menu daily. The cheese selection is amazing and I cant wait to try the kiwi gelato. This will be a regular stop for me.
