63-65 Broadway Market, London E8 4PH, Hong Kong
Bar modelled on NYC's East Village, with Mexican street food menu, American beers and cocktails.
Lovely little pub tucked away off broadway market. Lovely cocktails, and love the little cat that roams around. Really makes you feel like you’re not in london. Only downfall is the toilets, they’re a little bit grubby.
Great small bar. Bartender mixes great drinks.
Words fail.. There is some lady walking round claiming to run the place. She bought some massive buggy in here earlier and just got annoyed with people who got in her way and didnt seem to understand why it annoyed people. Then told us to leave when she got into a very strange conversation with us despite us being there and spending good money for a good few hours.. Totally bizarre
Lol the bartenders are so drunk
Rude lady who told us to sit down, whilst her help at the bar, a youngish guy, made the coffee. Whilst they told us to sit, they left the two cocktails on the bar, without telling us. Just a bit crass service and I would have expected better. Will go again but will demand more for my £25 for two drinks… I’ll start with some manners 🥴
One of (2 ofthe best espresso martinis I’ve ever had. Friendly bar and security staff. Indoor & outdoor seating
Amazing cocktails friendly staff lively atmosphere
Harry the bartender! Such good service! 10/10
Great quirky friendly bar with a difference a must if in Broadway market
Decent selection of acceptable cocktails although not the best around. The beers on offer were also good. I found the staff to be a bit rude and the ceiling was dripping with condensation which was a little irritating.
One of the best mezcal margaritas I’ve had. Nice bartenders and cozy quiet Monday night atmosphere. Great local find for us.
Had the best toastie ever and larger was so nice. Would have given it 5 stars but the barmaid was constantly on her phone even when serving. Took ages to serve us wine because she was too busy texting. Mums boyfriend went to ask a question as the barmaid was stood outside talking to people and as he walked away she gave him a dirty look up and down and her friends made a horrible face- as in why is he asking you a question? Really insulted by that. Shame about the staff because the food drinks and venue was so nice.
Great spot. Nice people watching. Barkeep Hannah was super friendly and accommodating. 👍👍
Nice place, drinks were good but it gets very busy on a Friday
The cocktails here are now overpriced for what they are, however the place is in a great location, especially for people watching.
Came here for a casual drink with friends on a quiet Monday afternoon. Menu says order any cocktail and they can make it, so I ordered my favourite, whiskey sour. When it came it was undrinkable, very watery, no flavour, so I politely asked if theyd mind swapping it out for a glass of wine, which they did. The bartender then came out to rudely grill me on why I didnt like the drink and tell me that everyone else likes his whiskey sours. We were shocked that he came out to essentially tell me I was wrong for not liking the drink and it made the atmosphere very awkward, so we didnt feel comfortable sticking around. Wont be going back!
Very tasty cheese toasties. Nice beer selection and £5 pints. Great spot to people watch if you are seated on the market and attentive staff. Highly recommended.
Good casual spot for a drink and a cheese toastie. They have a beer garden in the back that is also nice on sunny days.Had the cheese and tuna melt and highly recommend - have had their cocktails in the past too and they are decent too.Service was quick but was not welcoming - potentially explained by the fact that it was busy but other shops in the street still found it in them to be nice :only improvement point as otherwise it’s a great spot.
Cool local cocktail bar, great staff, delicious drinks and cheese toasties.
This is the best bars for miles, great cocktails and @cheesynicks are the best sandwich fix on the street
Great cozy atmosphere, never crazy rammed like all other bars in broadway market. Friendly staff to!
Good drinks, snobby staff (not all, but some), great mix of punters... Highs and lows 🤷🏼♂️
A wonderful atmosphere and good drinks, a fun little place to spend some time with mates. The staff were kind and helpful. There is also a cat who lives there and he was very nice too.
Two things I like about bars in NYC and always missed in London: (1a place where you can actually sit by the bar and socialize with the bartenders or other patrons, and (2a place that’s open and fun even on a Sunday evening. Look no further, this is the place to go. Best NYC-style neighborhood bar I’ve found in London so far.
Delicious cocktails and cozy atmosphere
Here is a lovely place to visit and have good mexican food friendly staff:allso note if you require lovely modern paintings for your home at 90-per cent on sale go to art gallery.co.uk antonio lopes
Trendy pub in London fields. Live music at times e.g. sat night blues duo - fantastic. Relaxed atmosphere. Cocktails are very good. Can get busy. Friendly staff. Hippy vibe. Dress - anything goes.
Cool bar on Broadway market.Always nice to visit. Its normally a little busy but you can get a seat normally if there are only a couple of you. They have a CAT....What else do you need? Well lots of good beers and cocktails. Friendly staff and outside seating!
Great for a gig downstairs in true, claustrophobic and sweaty rock and roll style, but upstairs a pub as confused about what it is as its guests are about what they want to be. Theres not much love on either side of the bar. At least back in the day when it was a den of thieves there was a bit of spirit. It will, however, change many times over the coming years, like the chameleon it is, and invalidate reviews quickly, for good or bad. Worth a punt.
Nice cosy bar during the week, busy with a nice vibe on the weekends. Good beers on tap and extensive spirits for cocktails. Downstairs event space has paid entry jazz gigs, etc. The bars cat is called Chairman Miao and she is very sweet.
Small but do have good no very good live music on Saturdays well worth a visit but that is my view.Gary.
One of my favourite cocktail bars in London. Good vibes, lovely atmosphere, excellent cocktails.
Amazing location, great cocktails and lovely people - Good vibe. Far from being pretentious, yet delivering high quality of service. Always a safe value. Did I mention the jazz bar downstairs? Also the bartenders have everything to do with the fun around. Great staff and recommendation.See you soon guys! xx
Cosy, convivial, low-lit and a bit louche. Everything you could want in a cocktail bar. And a friendly bar cat.
Decent bar, does cocktails and has jazz in the basement. Stays open a little later then most of the pubs around so its a good place for a last drink on a weeknight.
Fun pub....very popular with locals! Great choice of beers etc & cocktails are fab! Live music downstairs at Kansas Smitty. On Saturdays live music in bar, a good place to get out of the market mayhem!!
Really friendly staff, good cocktails, own brand beers on tap, pub 🐈. All round good egg.
Great bartenders. Ed Norton look alike and fabulous female tender. They can make any drink you ask for.
Great pub, you can drink outside until late and they have live music downstairs.
Great cocktail bar. Always busy. Small cosy. Like it a lot.
It is a cool looking place, I went there for a random Tuesday night date. But promptly realised its Valentines day and places were brimming with lovers. The place is cozy and cocktails are good*!*A bit expensive (just under £10and quite a lengthy manual process which results in a ~10 minutes wait for a couple of drinks.Seating was available but we opted for the bar to be able to quickly order, but we ended up leaving as we were in the two bartenders faces and ignored for 15 min trying to order beer as by then weve given up on cocktails.TL;DR this place has the stuff of greatness but miserably fails to deliver. GET more bar staff!!!
Lovely bar, cosy and warm but was a little crowded on a Friday night. Great bar staff who were really helpful and friendly. The drinks were amazing...really well made and so tasty at a reasonable price for London :would recommend for anyone in the area.
Love the atmosphere even if its a small place. Love the cocktails too
Great place! The cocktails are all very special and professionally made and the prices are reasonable. One of my favourite places. 💖
Great cozy place with amazing cocktails and lovely staff, lots of lovely art hung around the place and they even have a resident cat!You can eat and drink outside in the summer which is lovely. I didnt try the menu out first time round but will do so next time.Such a find! I would defiantly recommend it... BEST espresso martinis in east London!
Amazing bar with friendly members of the staff good drinks big variety of alcohol especially whiskeys and an amazing cat with the name "Chairman meow" which is the mascot of this place walking around like a boss!I totally recommend this place.P.s they used to do mexican street food but not anymore. But they still have pop up kitchen if you need a bit of like a snack!
Good cocktails and a fun atmosphere. The real gem is the rum parlour downstairs where menus are hidden in books and the high quality rum makes you loose track of time!
I am a big fan of properly made cocktails, and this place has never disappointed. Cosy in winter and sunny in summer, it is always a lovely spot to sit and enjoy something potent! Very knowledgeable bar staff. No trip to Broadway Market is the same without a little pick-me-up from here!
The burritos here are worth the visit. In addition if you enjoy a good cocktail then you´ve found the right place to go. A good selection of bottled beers, good cocktails and good food. Why haven´t you been already?
Cute, friendly little bar with a 30-40 strong cocktail list that covers classics and their own inventions. We had the Dark and Stormy, a gingery whiskery treat and something with gin, creme de mure and egg white that I loved. Their Mexican food is surprisingly tasty too
