MoreLots of history there (Lenin, Trotzky)... Love the French style, the art deco...
Glamorous as always. A trip in the times where bars were places of connect with people.
MoreI was there multiple times - it is always good
Let’s start with the service. It was terrible…all over Europe till I got here. Ali and Peter were legit the best damn bartenders I’ve had in all my drunk excursion. As a Wilson American all I wanted was to shy away from aperol spritz and find a good ol fashion and alas , Ali and Peter gave me those. Highly recommend good music good vibes great service.
MoreExcellent food and excellent service, the waitress Umi was very kind and attentive. Highly recommend!
MoreGreat place for brunch. Umi, the waitress, treated us so kindly. I highly recommend this place
MoreI only had tea this time which cant go wrong, but Dragan was not friendly at all. Maybe because it was at the end of the shift (~10:00 PMbut that attitude for this place was not acceptable.
MoreOne of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The sides were perfect as well. Memorable meal outdoors here in Zurich 😊
MoreVery very expensive place, but atmosphere is nice and coffee is tasty,We told that we want to share Clab sandwiche and they took 1 € for 2 plates 😆 (I havent seen that before, mb its a normal practice in Zurich
MoreBusy but always worth a quick beer or bite.
Great little spot all around! Had breakfast here. Great coffee drinks, delicious croissants, and an amazing eggs Benedict with super crispy bread and perfectly crispy bacon. The servers were really kind as well. Definitely recommend!
MoreFantastic, historical café. Must-visit in downtown Zürich. Café Odeon is one of those institutions that give Zürich its unique character. Take a seat and enjoy their delicious coffee, or go for a glass of wine, beer or cocktail and check out their bites (their platter is top notch). Prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, but the vibe and location make it worthy. It gets busy, so it is sometimes difficult to get a spot--although when they have outdoor seating is easier. Bonus tip: get one of the tables by the windows for a lovely conversation with a friend.
MoreReally enjoyed this old style art deco cafe, great for people watching and a nice place for lunch on a Sunday to watch the world go by. The food was very good (we had a club sandwich with rosemary fries and apple strudeland a good selection of wine and beers. We didnt have any but the coffee and cocktails looked good too.
MoreAmazing bar to share a drink with friends and people around you. Big thank you to our bartender John, who was very attentive.
MoreNice staff and great food ! French toast is a must try
Great service! Sharmila was extremely friendly and made us feel at ease.
The art nouveau character is enticing. The eggs Benedict was just ok though.
Was here for a quick pint to have a short meetup with someone work-related. Cant say much about the food as we didnt have any, but the service and the beer were more than acceptable
Morecafé bar with history. a Zurich base place. there since ever. At my last visit: outstanding nice staff.
MoreAbsolutely divine food at reasonable prices. Umi, our friendly waitress, gave the best recommendations and was so responsive to our needs.
MoreFantastic food & coffee. Amazing service from waitress Umi.
Fabulous breakfast spot, really lovely friendly staff (thank you Umi especially!). The coffee and food were excellent, highly recommend!
MoreInteresting to know about the history of this cafe! I ordered the crepes (14 francs), a glass of orange juice (7.5 francsand regular cafe (5.5 francs). The waiter told me their crepes are the best in town! The crepes were stuffed with jams and something tasted like rum. The coffee came with a small bakery. Overall nice experience.
MoreOne of the best service I ever had!! The nicest waitress ever taking very much care. It is rare in switzerland! My dish was too spicy and she made sure to redo it and comfort me that the chef would not be bothered. That was high class service! Thank you! And thank you for the friendliness!
MoreLove the parisian art deco brasserie look. Staff ultra friendly. Had the house burger here once, a bit disappointed. Otherwise, a good Prosseco 👌
MoreAmazing food and service, just arrived in the city and this was our first meal. Thanks Umi and staff for the amazing service also, very welcoming to tourists xx we will be back
MoreGreat place, especially our waiter Uemi was really nice!
Uemi was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the most delicious brunch on a beautiful Saturday in Zurich! The beef and avocado tartare were divine and the basket of lightly toasted dark bread was the perfect compliment. The salads were crisp and fresh with surprising and sweet pomegranate seed additions. We enjoyed a variety of coffees and all were excellent. Some of us also splurged with refreshing aperol spritz. The atmosphere was casually grand - so pleasant! I can’t say enough good things about Uemi and Cafe Odeon! Go and enjoy!
MoreWe had an amazing lunch; bison burgers, spare ribs, vegan bbq chicken sandwich and the best service from Lemmi (we think that was her name.😁
MoreI highly recommend, great service and location. You get to meet locals that frequent it. The preservation of the interior design is superb.
MoreSpecific came for a breakfast, cause the place is highly recommended on every Zurich travel guide. Interior deco is glamorous, staff is super nice and can speak English without any problem understanding you. Food is delicious! A typical European morning, coffee + egg + croissant + beautiful street view, you will find them all here.
MoreStill great bar in Zurich.. drinks are good too.. as well location and guests
Superb service! They forgot something from an order at my last visit, and when I e-mailed them about it, they were very professional about it.
MoreTheir wine selection is great. And has good prices. Love how they pour you a big glass from a 3 liter magnum with a smile on their face.Loved their oysters but 3 of them are 18 francs so...Ania loved their vegan chocolate cake its so light.Their Julius Meinl coffee taste can be improved.
More😎 Cool
Super friendly and helpful waiter! Coffee was nice and we loved that they offered oat milk. Only negative thing is that the cup size seemed pretty small for its price.
MoreExpensive for what you get and the interior needs some serious updating. Maybe make it into a jazz bar or update it to a more speakeasy kind of setting, that would help to attract a younger clientel.
MoreIt is a restaurant in a very, very excellent place in Zurich and very close to the beautiful Lake Zurich. The drink and food in the restaurant has a special taste and the preservation of the decor of the old shop has a special and distinctive shape. The seat outside the restaurant is a park. Advice not to go there by car because there are many car parks there. Thanks to all the workers
MoreWent there in the afternoon, waiter really nice, professional and friendly (tried to speak Italian to let us feel welcomecoffee really good and well presented. A fresh orange juice and a coffee CHF 13 which for the location is ok.But we returned back in the evening after a concert and we wanted to eat something the gentleman (not really gentleat the entrance, at 23:00 told us that outside is closed and that inside is no place free, we saw some free places at the bar desk and we spontaneously seated there. More then 15 minutes and nobody asked about needs (the bartender passed in front of us several times and neither a smile or a welcome word). So we left. Most probably they do not want us there! That is a wonderful historical place but no excuses for a bad service. Shame because in the afternoon the waiter was really good, but this is not enough, should be same at any time.
MoreVery nice place to spend an evening, very helpful staff, tasty food and nice wine choice! Very satisfied with a visit!
MoreAn old and classic very close to lake. For me it needs some renovation cuz old doesnt necessarily mean that we should sit on rotten chairs but if the way in Zürich then OK
MoreThe atmosphere makes up for everything. Aint the cheapest option, but definitely a comfortable place for breakfast. Try out their rosemary chip, tasted great
MoreThe coffee wasn’t really good, but the atmosphere compensated for it. It was lovely.
MoreBrunch- yessss please! Apero cocktails- yes yes yessss please! Great staff and cozy atmosphere, highly recommended! Will come again!
MoreExcelente place to enjoy the view of the city, great location and amazing staff, our waiter from Italy was very helpful and friendly, me and my family are visiting from Texas
MoreThe maitre d found space for us in a very busy lunch time rush. We were so happy he did - the coffee was exceptional as well as the pudding that my partner and I shared. The bar staff were delightful, happily taking the time to explain the coffee culture of the establishment. Will definitely be coming again on our next Zurich trip.
MoreLast October 1 at around 8 am, I visited ODEON for breakfast. An old waitress came out and she spoke German to me. Im a tourist from usa. so I asked her, "can you speak english?"but the waitress told me. "NO ENGLISH" "ONLY SPEAK GERMAN" And she asked for a vaccine certificate. So, I presented the vaccine certificate vaccinated in the United States, the Corona PCR test certificate issued at the airport, and ID. Then she asked for only a Swiss-issued vaccine certificate, and if you have no Swiss-issued vaccine certificate, you have to go out! I felt so bad and uncomfortable. Do you know how many people who visit Zurich from outside Europe speak German? How many foreigner have the Swiss vaccine? Until I visited ODEON, I think Zurich, Switzerland, was known as a cosmopolitan city. After my visit to ODEON, my perception of Switzerland has changed. If someone do not speak German and do not have a Swiss vaccine, I recommend that you never visit ODEON. You will definitely be kicked out by an old waitress who can only speak German.
MoreNice historical place to take a coffee or a drink, the staff is nice and the variety is cool. It is mind-blowing that one could be sitting in the same spot A. Einstein or Musolini, once did
MoreBest tartare in Zürich (minute made and tailored to your taste- perfection !!
