999 Canada Pl #300, Vancouver, BC V6C 3B5, Canada, Vancouver
Classy eatery at the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel offering Pacific Northwest cuisine & water views.
I’d love to see what you have on your menu for dinner menu but your website doesn’t support looking that up. 😕
The food was food was good. The staff were freindly. the prices were a bit much. But i am on vacation!
Very dissapointed in todays fathers day brunch.Huge decline in quality of the food and small variety compare our last time experience in this 4 Star restaurant.Meat was hard and dry, fish only OK, cold cuts poor. No fruit at all.Sweets and cakes only OK, just few.Price is very high and 18% service charge that was added to the bill was surprising.Good waiter.Do not recommend, not worthy.Alena
We were a group of 6. One persons pancakes were burnt. All of our shredded potatoes were completely cold - likely previously frozen. One person had the buffet and it was very underwhelming. Eggs Benny were gross. Would give 0 stars.
Goodbye forever! You have lost an entire clan! It wasn’t enough that we spent thousands on our wedding here?! Now You demand a form to be filled out to make a reservation! What planet are you on to demand that I download an app or print out and scan for a simple reservation?! We have been coming for Mother’s Day and Father’s Day brunch for over 10 years! Why isn’t it simply enough that we provide our credit over the phone? We now have to fill out a form? Do you know how difficult it is for a 74 year old to do that?? What a hassle and most definitely the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
As expected, Oceans 999 is a rather expensive for what you eat. The reason is being part of Pan Pacific Vancouver hotel.📍 To reach there, you have to come through the Hotel’s entrance and use the first escalator.✅ The vibe and view of the restaurant is amazing. You have mountain and water view with a lot of sunlight.🤵♀️ The staff is almost good and its service is nice. Being more smiley could be a good idea.🎙 There was a singer on Saturday with a beautiful voice and made a unique experience.Recommendations:* Carbonara Flatbread* Smoked Beef Brisket Hash* Harden Omelette☕️ They just have black coffee with an average quality.Enjoy!👌
We had brunch there, it wasnt Buffet as I read in other reviews, it was a short menu. The food was great, great view & friendly waiter.Very quick order delivery. All was great! Will try it more than once for sure👍🏻
On April 2, 2022, I ate at this restaurant with my family of 5 people.. 3 ordered the Garden Omelet and after lunch, all 3 of us were sick. We had pain in our stomachs, nausea, fatigue, and malaise. I took the next day off work and called the restaurant. I spoke to someone who said I would receive a return phone call. I emailed them about getting 3 of my family members sick and no reply. The food and staff are unprofessional and this is unacceptable. I paid alot of money for this lunch that cost my health and a day of work. This company should be ashamed of itself for making their customers sick then not even caring with a reply.SHAME ON YOU!!
This is a luxurious buffet with high quality selections. Absolutely love their dessert section. Gorgeous view overlooking the water. I went to their opera night and the live music definitely adds to the luxury. Highly recommend this place for a romantic date or a treat-yourself
Worst eggs Benedict I have ever had for what I paid! My eggs were runny and they along with the ham had ZERO taste, very skimpy on the hollandaise sauce! I had better at Dennys!!
Everything we ate was delicious, server was attentive and nice to chat with, the views of the mountains from the floor to ceiling windows were gorgeous! 100% recommend the crab grilled sandwich and the smoked salmon Benny. The crab sandwich was FULL of fresh crab meat. The shrimp gyozas were the best we’ve ever had.
Good food great customer service.
Good food, friendly staff and nice environment, live music and cozy with unobstructed view.
Comfortable environment to enjoy libations and more
If I could give 0 stars I would. From the moment our group of 5 sat down to have a tea, we felt unwelcome. I asked for an extra chair to sit at a table closer to my family, but had to bring the chair myself. Christen who is the only female server took 15 minutes to take our order of 5 ear grey teas and left to serve another table midway through us ordering and asking about deserts. She served every table that had alcoholic beverages on order before bringing us empty cups after 30 minutes. It was a very personal vendetta against us and it might have had to do with not ordering alcohol. We felt ignored. She was extremely rude and laughing at us when we brought the manager to confront her. The manager refused to confront her because it wasn’t professional. Her behaviour towards us was rude and unprofessional as well. She completely ignored us all the time we were there and her managers did nothing to fix it. This attitude will continue and this will happen to some other customer in the future. I rarely leave negative reviews and get personal with the manager of an establishment unless absolutely necessary. The management of this restaurant and bar needs to do a better job and train the staff not to be this rude to their customers. 0 stars from me. Avoid at all costs.
Fresh food, great atmosphere and a gorgeous Location inside Canada place! Great coffee as well.Thank you Tracy for the great service.
Food was great and hot! Staff were also very friendly.
Fantastic dining environment, Great service !Bread quality is actually pretty impressive, crunchy on the crust and soft insideCocktail was decentSoup, crab salad, and the steak were just average quality. The soup itself ...Humm ...just look at the photo and you know what I mean...The steak was too salty and the crab salad taste slightly funny (girlfriend only had couple bites and decided to leave it.)The dessert was surprisingly good! (Without the dessert, I would probably rate the overall rxoerience 3stars ~)
Food was pretty good, but not the best value. The tiny fruit cup in the photos cost $6. The view was great but service could be better. We were brought the wrong dish and was forgotten after.
I ordered crispy bacon and over-easy egg. The bacon is hard and chewy and a piece of the egg was missing.
I went here for the Christmas brunch. Good quality, quick refills and nice staff. The pastries were good (the scones were my favourite), as was the smoked salmon. The desserts were alright, but looked better than they tasted. The roasted vegetables were excellent and the potato gratin was good, as was the spinach ricotta cannelloni. A standout was the spring rolls as they were hot and crispy. The selection is decent and I would recommend you give it a go, although prices are on the high side.
Not the greatest day to be on the coast but the food did make it better. Its not very dietary restriction friendly in terms of the breakfast buffet
Attended Oceans 999 for a Sunday wedding brunch. The food quality was 5-stars and the selection 5-stars but the although the servers were polite and friendly, they didnt seem to be able to keep up with our requests (drinks, high chair, questions about the area).
Sunday Brunch was amazing.Different varieties of food and drinks with live piano music.
Sunday market brunch is awesome, food wise. And Italian opera buffet is awesome, atmosphere wise.
This restaurant is our favorite place to go to for special occasions. The restaurant is very classy and grand. We usually get a table next to the window and the view is magnificent. The view always screams out "this is beautiful British Columbia" in my mind. As for the food, I love their chicken dishes, it is always perfectly cooked, moist, and flavorful. Dessert is heavenly good too.
My family took me here for Fathers Day, and we were all impressed by the assortment of food on the buffet. The price of admission, however, was quite expensive, but we got our moneys worth.
One of the best dinner buffets in Vancouver, the pan Pacifics opera buffet is quite a unique experience. A fantastic dinner along with great performances. An evening of Italian dining along with Italian opera. A very worthwhile experience and fairly good value for the money. Well recommended.
Great food, beautiful music. A place to celebrate “special occasions” with your loved one or loved ones. Something different from all the other buffets.
I came here because I heard Chef Sean had taken of over the reataurant.I wasn’t disappointed. The service is A+ and the food is amazing. Highly recommended.
Had the $35.00 breakfast buffet that was totally overpriced! Nothing worth taking a picture of with exceptions to the view!Nice place to be and friendly staff!
Had our staff Christmas dinner there for a few years. Loved the food served at the buffet especially the antipasto. Nice view of the ocean and comfortable seating. Service was always top notch. Would love to see new items on the buffet menu though.
Went for a nice quiet dinner for dineout. The atmosphere at night is nice and peaceful with a lovely view. I really enjoyed the sweet potato cheesecake, although the rest of the meal was delicious as well. We had great service with very attentive staff
Ocean 999 is our favorite restaurant. We especially love the Opera Buffet. We, as a senior couple, enjoy the music and singing whilst we sampled the delicious buffet. We also like to take our friends and family members for Saturday Opera Buffet. This is a very nice place for various occasions such as birthday parties, anniversary’s and friends or family outings. Not only is the fresh food exceptional, the service is also excellent.
Looking for a good restaurant on or near the old Pier BC , I think this is the spot ..I worked on the Pier for 10 months Pile driving the foundation for Franki Canada I have lots of old on the job photos and would like to show them somewhere ??
3 stars are for the top-notch service we received. Its expensive, be ready for that. That being said, Im an adventurous eater and there was not much selections for me to choose. Wont come back.
The Sunday Bruch buffet is really an occasional treat you should enjoy. A mix of North American breakfast and Asian touches. The food quality and service are great for its price. Views and a nice touch!
Enjoyed the Easter Brunch at Cafe Pacifica. Many fresh and flavourful options. Lots of seafood choices as well as made to order omelettes, and ham at the carving station. Duck, lamb, salmon were among the hot food choices. Of course there was double smoked bacon, sausages and eggs Benny! Its a little pricey but its a special occasion brunch. Definitely worth checking out!
Worst experience ever in Hotel restaurant. Server takes forever to come by, ketchup stain was on a bread basket(and we didn’t have any ketchup on our tablestake was getting cold and also chewy. Other dishes taste mediocre, but their paella was good. Not worth what you paid for, even with groupon.
The food is wonderful. View is great.Service does need improvement; we often dont see wait staff more than once, besides picking up plates. Friendly but absent.
I read about the bad service from some of the reviews here. Fortunately, when I went this past week, I received friendly and attentive service from the staff at the restaurant for their Opera Buffet. The food was amazing, especially the pasta bar. Each item was cooked well, and I could tell they used quality ingredients for their appetizer and main course selections. However, I do think their desserts can improve. I liked some of the items from their desserts selection, but overall the taste was pretty average. The music they provided was enjoyable, especially the pianist and male opera singer.I do agree with some of the reviewers that it is a bit overpriced. My partner and I didnt mind, though, because we had a wonderful experience, and because it was more for a special occasion.
Really bad experience and disappointed on customer service here. The server charged one more person on our 4 people. When we got back to ask if there were something wrong with the bill, the server came back with some cash(we paid by credit). It made me think its not their first time doing this, just maybe? And the server showed us her poor attitude towards us and was clearly not happy with our coming back. So we insisted to get the refund on our credit to start over to pay again. Through this whole process, there was not even one sorry or other apologies from any servers or managers. Totally disappointed but great opera performance.
The food was great. Its a relaxing type of atmosphere. If youre looking to enjoy a fancy quiet night out, then this place is for you.
For $60/plate youd think youd have a server that cared. He was extremely apathetic.Brunch here is okay. Im still not sure its worth the money.Split crab legs are nice, but not really worth $20 more than the competition.
Amazing, fresh, and perfectly flavoured breakfast. I ordered a poached egg perched on a nest of crispy hash browns, crab, zucchini, and asparagus. I also added a side of avocado and smoked salmon. The portions were not to big, but filling. The crab chunks were huge and tasted like it just been steamed and shelled. Service was prompt and friendly, and live piano played just a few feet from me as I looked out on the ocean. Would like to come back and try the brunch next. I left here very happy:)
Keeping a long enjoyed family tradition we attended the annual opera dining buffet recently and was very disappointed with poor service and less than adequate cuisine. At best, Oceans 999 should be rated as 2 star but with a 5 star priced menu this restaurant falls far short of its predecessor, the Five SailsWith many great 5 star restaurants in Vancouver, this restaurant has become a hotel dining room at best.
Absolutely terrible experience. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Our service was absolutely horrendous, the food was mediocre, and was sick for the rest of the day after eating here.Wont be staying at the hotel, or eating at the restaurant ever again. Lesson learned.
Very poor service. Server did not bother checking on our table once during our meal. He got our orders wrong and argued with me. I ended getting food poisoning from this meal.Terrible experience.
We went for Canada Day, which was a great place to watch the fireworks. But the dinner menu, not sure if it was because of Canada Day was a little boring. The portions were small for the price youre paying. Service was friendly. I remember the buffets being better. Also it changed its name to Oceans 999 (previously Cafe Pacifica)
I went to Cafe Pacifica on Sunday, January 17th 2016 during the Dine-out festival and I loved it. I was served by a waiter named Daniel and the service was amazing! My sister and I both have allergies to wheat and egg and he made sure that we were both well accommodated. However, the food was a bit on the expensive side. Overall, it was an amazing experience.
