This place is discousting....NEVER go there....infested with bed bugs!

Little small also no parking but very good service and clean its good for a day or two !

The place had been totally gutted should be up and running by April. Tony gave us a tote seems like its going to be great once its finished. They even have suites with their own kitchen.

This hotel is next to the beach and near some good restaurants. This hotel is going through a major renovation so not all the rooms are available.

Do not go to this place. First of all, it is not suitable to receive people, it is a safety hazard with construction materials and debris in the entrance. Second, the personnel in the counter is nasty. Upon check in the attendant tried to charge me additionally for my two kids ages 1 and 7. I explained him that the baby sleeps in her play yard which I brought along with me, and the 7 year old could sleep with me and my wife so there was no need for an additional bed. He insisted he had to charge us the additional $100 ($25 X 2 kids X 2 daysat that point I requested to cancel and was told that I could cancel though there would be no refund since it was clearly stated in the Cheaptickets website. I stormed out of that hole, booked a whole apartment with Ocean view through AirBNB for fewer money, and thanks to American Express got my full refund. Hahaha

Under construction and over priced

Was very disappointed, under construction and the room was extremely smelly 😡😡😡We have to leave and go to other hotel.

This hotel is undergoing some construction at the moment. It is located 3 mins from the beach on foot, 30 secs in a car lol. The hotel staff are friendly and easy going. We stayed in Villa #4 and fell in love with the space over our 2 day stay. You also have easy access to eateries on Calle Loiza and the beach access. All at a low price!Stay here.

You get what you pay for. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice. At the time of check in she informed us that the TV and the water were down, but both will be up and running within 5 min. This was true for the water, but not so much the TV. The rooms were a little dirty, but the sheets and towels were clean, plus the room has a fridge. The hotel also has a sunroof, from which you can see a good chunk of the area, and a nice little pool out doors. The free WiFi is limited to the WiFi area near the pool.The hotel is about a block from the beach, and a block in the opposite direction from a ton of restaurants.In conclusion, the rooms are cheap, the location is great, and if you just need a place to crash after exploring San Juan, this place may just be right do you.

We just spent five days here and I am not sure we would do it again. On the Pro side: staff were friendly, convenient location to restaurants, nice neighborhood and one block to beach. Cons: The place is dirty and dated. We there for five days and our room was never cleaned. We had to ask for fresh towels. Breakfast consisted of toast (no jam), an apple, a tiny powdered sugar donut and juice. The cook did not show up on Saturday or Sunday, so there was no breakfast. There are only 5-6 parking spots. The desk is not always manned, even during the day. The room was dark and the toilet ran constantly. Internet was only available on the first floor. Walls are thin.

While the decor is extremely dated & dreary, room is decent size, bed is comfy & staff is friendly. Conveniently located to the beach (2-3 min walk), bars & restaurants also within walking distance. Not far from a highway that will quickly get you into other towns for dining, shopping, entertainment & tourist attractions.

From the moment I walked in, good customer service telling me that the water service was going to be cut off, sorry for the inconvenience, we started to get up the stairs and just saw dirty walls, our room was on the third floor. Entering the room, it was a nightmare, dirty very dirty room with even left trash, used toilet paper and towels that were all wrinkled and weird and dirty with stains. Mildew on the walls, on the curtains. I tried to open one and dust just was crazy. It’s unsafe, I understand that at least value it’s not an equivalent for dirtiness. Oh and smoke free ambience, really? I was asked if I smoke, answered no, and got the response , I do, if you want to smoke, just do it outside ! 👎

Hard to find. Was not what I expected. Disappointed with appearance in general. Room was very basic for the price. Shower lacked maintenance. Parking is very limited. Only good thing: walking distance to the beach. Not going there again.

Good people, good food, walking to the beach takes about 3min. And is centered around everything you could possibly want while visiting Puerto Rico!! Would definitely stay there again!!

Okay place for one night stay. Has free parking. Room was clean.

There is no breakfast

I received over 100 bed bug bites in the 3 days I stayed here. I asked for my money back the first day after seeing the place and they would not give me a refund. there is no resturant, only 11 parking spaces for the entire hotel, the pool water was green and the pool walls had lines of dirt going down them. my bed was two twin beds with dirty mattresses covered with a dirty ripped foam mat with a sheet over it. Ruined my dream vacation.

NO STARS, whatever you do do not come here, this is the worst hostal ever. My friend and I came to stay for one night and man were we dissapointed. DIRTY SHEETS, crappy breakfast and JUST OVERALL DIRTY AND UNSANITARY....RUN! RUN! RUN.

I hate this place from the bottom of my heart.DO NOT EVER BOOK IN THIS PLACE.The moment me and my girlfriend enter ther room decided to leave. No refunds the front desk guy came up with the excuse that the manager wont be thete until monday.SPOILER AHEAD: SCAM!!!It was dirty and old. The personnel look like they were hired the same day on the spot.Eerie atmosphere.LOST OUR MONEY HERE.

I love this hotel! From the antique furnitre, which is beautiful and feels like home to the owners who make you feel you are home. So helpful and friendly. Its near the beach 2 block walk, you do however need a car. I definitely will be back.

***DO NOT STAY HERE***This disgusting place does NOT deserve any stars. They are scammers, the place is NOTHING like what they show on the web. Building has mold, sheets and towels were disgustingly dirty, pillow cases were yellow with hair on them. The parking spaces are occupied by abandon cars. This place is a nightmare. The list is long. As soon as I can figure out how to upload the pictures I wil!! RUN RUN RUN!!

Simplicity and good attention. Quiet. Close to the beach. Nice restaurants around. It is not fancy but helps the stay for few days.

I strongly do NOT recommend this hotel; its extremely filthy & unsanitary. Our bed & pillow cases had disgusting urine & blood stains. The bathroom ceiling was molded & falling apart. The list goes on! When we contacted reception regarding our issues they were very rude & unconcerned. Were still in the process of trying to receive a reimbursement for our reservation. We checked out shortly after checking in, because it was just that bad.

- main desk is half of the Time unattended & key doesnt open main-entrance so you are stuck in the Hotel and cant see the Beach- air conditioning very noisy and cannot switched off- No Internet in the rooms- No Soda dispensers or vending machines- under no circumstance you can check-in before 3 afternoon

would like to start on positive note and say that the building was charming, had a nice outdoor patio area with a pool. I did meet 2 employees on the third day that i found to be very nice and welcoming. Both were ladies; one was a front desk agent and the other was housekeeping. The rest of the staff were mostly rude which were two guys But they did have good rates!Negative notes:The room that I was assigned to (room 25was unacceptable and also had a plaque that did not say the room number but said employees only. The bathroom was dirty and tiny. The shower drain had a screw surfacing that cut my foot, the shower knobs were backwards, one of the beds was not attached to anything and moved freely around the room therefore the headboard would fall over. Especially if you moved in your sleep. The parking was horrible, they had more than half of their parking spots occupied with broken down cars in their front and side parking. It was so bad that one of the cars was in at an angle occupying two spaces. I am not sure why, whether it was availability or spite but come to find out after being there 3 out of the 5 days, they do have nicer rooms. Actually just so happens one morning while they were doing cleaning. All the room on our floor were open except ours. Every room was better than ours. Our room did not have a working fridge, no microwave, the tv was the size of my laptop. I did happen to see their storage area which they use for towels and other junk they find Left in rooms; they were very messy. They also charged me for an additional person, 25 dollars a day.

Its an ok hotel. The staff was kind and professional. However, if you are looking for a place to cave in for the rest of your vacations, this place is not for you. I personally dont think that this place is even meant for that. Just have a safe place to sleep in. Affordable stay, walking distance to the beach, what else would you want? Why else would anyone come to PR?

Please do not come here, staff, rude and not helpful, the hotel does not deserve a star... thumbs down.. pool is dirty rooms are dirty... t.v. in the room is a monitor, not even a 24 inch. Very small....breakfast 7:30-8:30, if you come down at 8:32 its over, not happy paying customers

Horrible place. Ultra dirty. They never changed the sheets. There was hair and garbage everywhere, lub stains all over the sheets. The floor was disgusting, the room was never cleaned. Like ever. They staff was very rude. Except for one cleaning lady. That Im wondering what she cleans. It was expensive for what they offered. I do not recommend this Place at all. Its a shame coz the location is perfect. I should have checked the reviews before booking this horror movie hotel.

The hotel is inexpensive so its hard to complain too much, however the shower consisted of one weak stream which made the hot sticky Puerto Rican climate a bit harder to wash off after a day of exploring. The included breakfast is a little underwhelming if of decent quality consisting of toast and a banana. The beds are decently comfortable and the linen while your typical scratchy hotel variety are functional enough. The TV also wasnt working and the internet is only available in the common area and the signal is very weak. The staff was polite and proffessional and it is very close to the beach. But like I said its primary selling point is the cost which beats nearly everything else available.

If I could give this place less of a rating, I would. In fact, if I could, I would make this place give me stars for how bad they were. We arrived around 3am, waited outside for 25 minutes even after calling the number they post on the door (same sign says front desk is staffed 24hr). Finally some greasy guy comes and lets us in then proceeded to tell us check in was at 3pm, trying to refuse service to us. Do not believe the pictures they have on the site, the paint is cracking, theres roaches all over, the beds are old and stained as are the blankets and sheets. In a pretty bad area, was told by locals not to walk around at night here. Nothing on their website or booking sites accurately portray this subpar place.

Its not as bad some review makes it to be. Honestly, the place seem run down a tiny bit and need a upgrade, it does has so much potential for extreme business and I love how they have all the palm tress and colors mix in the area. Its also located just a block away from a beautiful beach and all restaurants and shopping areas are near by.The place is family own business and the staff is not sufficient to keep the room thoroughly cleaned. I do recommend them to upgrade they bed sheets and pillows is not good for business to see them stained up.....We did enjoy ourselves in our time there, met great people and Tony was awesome with us. But I believe in the future I will be staying elsewhere.

Good place to stay and have vacation. It is very simple.

When I arrived, around 2:30am, I rang the bell around 5 times in a period of 30 minutes. I waited around 40 mins. outside.My paper work was not ready, therefore, I spent 20 more mins. completing registration.The rooms looked like only low people rented there for... The walls were all written, the room was dirty and the AC was noisy and not working properly. I slept in that room for the night; only 4 hrs. and then complaint at the FRONT DESK to the morning person, it is when they switched me to the VILLA, no AC in the living room/kitchen area. I still had to wait at 2pm, for them to get it ready, til around 4pm. The man who attends at night went inside my room while I was out; found my door open and him walking out the hall way. By the way, my villa was the last one in the hall way; only my door on that hallway at the end; no exit. Anyways, I couldnt get proper sleep at all. Parking is a problem and the area is dark. I am a native and was a cab driver meaning I know the area. My knowledge and experience was not enough to tolerate this situation. NEVER AGAIN!

Room was OK, requested a queen bed only but the hotel was full. AC didnt really cool that much, but it got the job done.

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast that is typical of Puerto Rico. It is reasonably priced. It has a very nice courtyard with a clean pool in a delightful environment. The staff is very polite and helpful, the rooms are cleaned for you while you may hang at the Fabulous Isla Verde beach, one block away. I give it 5 stars because a visit to Puerto Rico should be enchanting, and if youre not totally enchanted by this place and its location, youre missing something.Ive been to PR many times, trust this review. This is an underrated beach side hotel. Although the furniture may not match, the rooms are air conditioned (very importantthe beds are comfortable, bathrooms very presentable and the time you spend inside should be minimal.I spent 4 nights with my family in 2 different rooms. The single and double bedrooms are great but; The suits are spacious with full kitchens and are not a lot of money for a whole lot of fun.

Not as bad as many of the reviews make it seem. The place definitely, definitely needs to be renovated. It had so much potential and could be so much better! But the staff was friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful. The area is a mix of locals and tourists. Its only scary to people who have never been around lower-income neighborhoods. I had a great experience and would absolutely go back. The hotel is only 1 block from the beach! You cant beat that!

The place is dirty, when i sat on the bed a roach came out, the pictures show a beautiful place very far from there! The receptionist looked like someone taken from a horror movie and was very mean and filthy looking, horrible smell like mold in every corner, dirty pool full of leaves and we waited like one our just to check in, as soon as we went to the room and saw the dirty and smelly sheets, broken furniture, dirty mini fridge and instead of two rooms as we ordered, there was one bed in the living room and another one in a closet with no room to walk, and you have to jump over the closet bed to go into a dirty bathroom. When we tried to talk to the receptionist, he just told us that there were no refunds and that we were welcome to leave. Definitely someone have to look into that because they are fooling people with false pictures to lure them there and then keep their money, i ran from there but lost my $200 for just one night, because he refused to give me my money back, hope this help you to choose another place!!!!!

Breakfast is just toast banana and coffee or juice thats it so that really is not breakfast

I was there just recently. Yes the place needs up keep and maintenance. The service we got during our visit was unlike anything I have ever experienced in the U.S. The employees always greeted you with a smile and tended to our needs. The area is not the safest place in town but neither is Miami, New York, Chicago or L.A. We walked around the neighborhood at night and never had a problem. This is an awesome place for people on Spring Break or even a weekend getaway. Besides, you dont come to Puerto Rico to stay inside. All you need is a clean room to sleep and a shower with clean towels. I had an awesome time.

Where to begin.... The pictures posted on their website are most likely from when they opened. Dont know when that was but given its appearance you would guess 15 years ago (with a really bad upkeep). The so called bar was closed the whole week we were there because they were out of alcohol.... The restaurant was closed the whole week as well due to their chef being injured.... Given there was no chef to cook, our complimentary breakfast consisted of 2 pieces of toast, a banana, and a small muffin that came from a box. I wouldnt exactly call that breakfast. The shower flooded upon our first use of it and the toilet handle broke off a few days later. When we asked for towels to go to the pool they were unable to provide any because they had nothing clean available. Though we stayed for 8 days our sheets were never changed and our towels were rarely replaced. And our so called queen mattress was really two twin beds pushed together. You are also welcome to make your way up to the roof and enjoy the view being cautious to not step on the broken glass bottles that have been there for who knows how long. If you plan on staying indoors this is the place for you. Every taxi driver we met told us not to walk in that area at night. The fact that we saw a police officer at ever corner in that neighborhood had already given us that clue. So why did we stay the whole 8 days? When we called trip advisor to let them know our situation they informed me that they would be calling the hotel manager to make sure everything I had told him was happening.... Well, the manager then proceeded to tell the trip advisor agent that i had given him false information and that they would not by any means refund us the remainder of our reserved days. I would NEVER stay there again. Ever.
