Ocean Village - Resort in Gibraltar, Gibraltar
Well worth the dolphin Toro, we saw live dolphins and packs swimming together. Great video content and great experience overall. We had lunch within the ocean village and it was a great ambience.
Great marina - use this for dolphin safaris and a wide range of restaurants
Great marina. Lots of places to eat and drink and to watch sports.2 casinos.
The place to be! Great through the day and even better at night
Nice and engaging place with plenty of places to eat. The area is kept to a high standard.
Hired an e-bike from the site. Convenient location for starting a bike ride around the Rock. Very friendly and efficient service. Recommend a visit.
Fantastic place bars restaurants are all very good. avoid cafe fresco utterly rubbish. Apart from that definitely worth a visit.
Lovely harbour with nice bars and restaurants.
Im living in this place. I adore. Planning bars and restaurant and the swing pool are amazing
Ok marina with nice showers, but distances are large and it is a big construction site at moment.
Marina Bay and Ocean Village is still undergoing rebuild and reconfiguration with addition of posh apartments, garden space, carparking etc so there are some disturbances from this activity depending on your berth location. Very high quality pontoons and docking hardware is being fitted. Still too many berth spaces are taken up/ allocated to local fishing, fast outboard craft: there are more appropriate places in Gib for these. Until this issue is addressed capacity for local yachts and those boats in transit remains utterly insufficient, but this supply demand imbalance is probably used to justify the high prices. Surprisingly to me, given its local geography, a little swell movement is nearly always present. Friendly staff. Excellent bathroom facilities - the best, including baths - but they will need some on-going work soon due to some poor material selection when built new a year or so ago (rusty stainless appearing, for instance). Still, they are probably the best ensuite facilities in a marina in the Mediterranean region I reckon, if not the Atlantic seaboard - like those in a high quality 4* hotel. Quite expensive marina too especially given things like free WiFi is very poor, which is out of keeping with the overall market positioning, and many of the access gates - which should operate on a finger print system - are simply open and dont work. That said, Ive not yet come across any complaints about security...well see. On WiFi, sure, have a paid for, very high bandwidth symmetrical service, but at least make the free one have good signal strength everywhere, plus sufficient bandwidth too for browsing. A note to all marina operators here: WiFi is not a luxury: build it into your offerings by default! Aircraft/runway is not a problem - only 5 or so flights a day at the time of writing. Surrounded by a vast selection of good bars and eating places. English is spoken as the main language after Gibraltarian. Some lovely planting around the place too.
Interesting , great staff lots of building work so maybe noise. We enjoyed our stay
Lots of restaurants and nice place for a walk... generally a good atmosphere
Multi use leisure resort full of bars restaurants and shops, great if you are hungry, thirsty or if you simply have cash burnout whole in your pocket
It was a fun day, seeing the cardboard boats race for children and adults I can wait for next year 🛥
Very nice place Many caffe and restorans. Live music.
We sailed into Galbrater today and decided to see what was going on around us ...OCEAN VILLAGE is a great resort has something for everyone. Restaurants to many to name, Spas, Insurance, Marine Parts Dockage, Hotels, Casino, Money exchange, food shopping, Alcohol....We had a great platter for two and five euro mojitos we had two each They even brought Willoughby a bowl of water...Great day exploring this beautiful city
Dont know why this place is popular... nothing special here. Prices for shopping not cheap at all. Apes and dolphin you can watch at other places too... tourist trap.
Stayed in Majestic Ocean Plaza. Lots of branded restaurants in the village but also local places to eat in Casemates (5 min walk). Used the leisure pool complex daily (£10 per adultwhich was always clean, tidy, warm pools & plenty of sunbeds)
Great little spot called Ocean Village with shops and restaurants. A great spot to visit to have a good meal, many choices…There are so many fish in the harbour the kids will be entertained for hours.
A beautiful place in the center of Gibraltar. clean with comfortable rooms and a nice view. I loved the gym and the view of all parts of the hotel. I didnt like that the room was freezing no matter how much I changed the temperature.
Nice place to visit plenty of bars and options for lunch- there is a casino on the sunbourn yacht and Some nice photo ops too!!
Lovely food, extensive menu, with reasonable prices. Nice attentitive staff...Great location at the waterfront/harbour. It is also nice and peaceful away from hustle and bustle of town.
Great place to spend a few hours, plenty of restaurants & bars to enjoy whilst soaking up the sun
Great food and beer. Enough said.
One live bandAnd plenty of restaurants and some. Casinos too
Great bars and shops and sunset views
Sadly I think that this place has been over-developed and it looks like this downward trend is set to continue. Seems like making money is becoming more important than providing welcoming and attractive surroundings. Was far more attractive many years ago. Now it feels quite claustrophobic surrounded on all sides by high rise buildings.
Marina-side area of restaurants and bars. Smart and pretty - some of the buildings are on jetties and all have outside as well as inside seating. There are also casinos and a floating hotel.
Don’t let Gibraltar’s small size fool you into thinking is has nothing to offer. Ocean Village is one area filled with options and boat loads of restaurants and shops.
Lots to do and see hereVarious restaurants and barsShopping too....
Fantastic choice of restaurants, bars and shops. Looks great by day and night.
Nice luxurious part of the new marina thats not long been built. Its also the part of the island where you can buy tickets to go out on quite a large boat and see the 🐬 dolphins. Well worth £20 per person, trust! Literally hundreds of them if not thousands all following the boat and showing off. Absolutely amazing experience...
Beautiful setting, shame about the lager louts . Dampened the experience
Lively place. Many bars and eateries. Actually spoilt for choice of where to try next
Ocean village is pretty much the most modern part of Gibraltar, a small maze of accommodation, restaurants, shops and boats. The area is home to the Sunborn yacht hotel. We spent a few nice nights around the marina, it’s ideal for people with anxiety about being out at night as everything is easily accessible, there are about 20 places to eat and drink, so you’ll never bore of the options. From pizza, to Thai and India, through to Tapas.
Really felt like home, although I was there for short time! The apartment was big, the view is amazing, also the facilities.
Just arrived and what a beautiful place. Bars galore and the Ocean what more can you ask for
Miami vibes guaranteed. Ocean village is what happens when you bring a great UK town (Bath or Cambridgeto the sea side. If you want breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, casinos, you will find it all. Make sure to watch the take off and landing of airplanes on the nearby runway.
Excellent venue with numerous restaurants and shops with lovely sunset views
One of the must-visit spots in Gibraltar. Lots of restaurants and bars with great food and drink options. Nice view for the sea and Gibraltar Airport runway, if you are lucky you can see the planes when landing or taking off. The Sunborn located there which had bars to visit. There are few shops on site.
Great place. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Not too expensive some pubs do an happy hour 5-7 £2.50 a pint
Lots of bars and restaurants with a very lively atmosphere especially at weekends. It seems the place to go for night live in Gibraltar.
Great place to eat and chill...loads of resuarants and bars in one place. And hotels to sleep for the night (hotels are a tad expensive)
It is a great place to spend a day several good restaurants and bars. I recommend the Dolphin Adveture company for reasonable your to see the Dolphind.
Help!! That’s what you do not need. Except... you want to feel like in a tourist trap. The restaurants and bars around the Ocean Village on Gibraltar aren’t really good. If you want to go there for a trip with your friends do not expect a lot of fun only standardized bars. So not really something you need for a holiday. There are better places on earth to go for. We were all .... disappointed 😔
Lovely addition. Good bars restaurants and cafes and two marinas (Sheppards and Marina Bay). Only problem is the extreme bassline music from the club that blasts into residential apartments Fri-Sat until 6am.
Weve been here a few days and even though enjoyable, we quite had seen Main Street and looked for a change. And weve found it in the form of the Ocean Village. It was around lunchtime on a weekday and it was surprisingly quiet. Restaurants were quite busy but not that many visitors walking around. Which was nice after the overcrowded main street. Its a real nice promenade with lots of places to wine and dine, shops and the Sunborn as the heart of this place - a Cruise Ship (that never leavesthat works as Hotel, Casino & Restaurant. It was really nice to walk along the water and enjoy this special atmosphere here. For a while you feel like youre in a Caribbean Town...it just has this relaxed feel to it. Theres a nice fountain too for the kids (or admit it: grown-upsor your pets to cool down. Not far away from the Casemates Square this place here is definitely a must-see and do when in Gibraltar.
Ocean view is one of my favourite places to go when Im in Gibraltar. A relaxing place to meet friends for dinner or drinks. A great selection of Bars, Sport Bars and restaurants. There are also 2 casinos if you want to have a flutter. Great to walk around and only 10 mins walk from the border.
A great spot for meeting up with friends and family.... perfect for lunch or dinner and great for some after works drinks. Loads of bars and restaurants with a great vibe.
