Shop No 3 Entertainment Centre, Sam Levy Village, Borrowdale Rd, Harare, Zimbabwe, Harare
Modern chain restaurant with a cheerful vibe, serving up seafood, sushi and sharing platters.
The best seafood restaurant. Spacious in a good location and has vibrant waiters giving top tier hospitality. Whenever I’m craving the juiciest strawberry 🍓 daiquiri I know I find it here.
The food was lovely
I enjoyed my meal very much.
The staff was very bubbly and helpful. The food was great. They even threw in free ice cream when they realised it was my wifes birthday
Great food super service.
It was recommended by a friend and they didn’t dissappoint. Their sea food is delicious.
The staff also help u enjoy the seafood in the correct way. So never feel shy to ask them for advice 😁😁😝😝😎😎👌🏽👌🏽.
Really enjoyed the food here, very reasonably priced and service was great. For a chilled out afternoon seafood fix, definitely recommend
My best sea food place in Harare so far
Clean with pleasant, helpful staff.
We had a lovely family birthday lunch! Good prices and, which is rare nowadays, good service!
Great food and portions are bigger than expected, service is top notch👍🏾
Its the best place to eat everything and anything Salman and fish, both western and Japanese.it have a nice ambience and a cool place to dine in.
A definite yes! You have to try it. You might not know you actually really love sea food. I love the spot. The service is great and the waiting times are as expected. The alcohol is a little pricey unfortunately. It’s even less crowded during the week. Tons of space to sit inside and outside as well.
An amazing experience.Superb food
Very great place to have a sea food. I visited from SA and really enjoyed the home like experience. Everything was perfect. Payment is USD makes things a lot more expensive for those who dont hold local currency.
Always great service here and everything is fresh and tasty. The bathrooms need some work but the restaurant aesthetic is great.
I liked everything except the fish, the batter was was too oily, I probably should have asked for the fish grilled rather than fried
The waitress was friendly and helpful. The food absolutely delicious. The place was clean and airy
Relaxed, pleasant and spacious. Good for eating out as a family - there dont seem to be a designated play area for small people though. Food quality and range is great - 5 thumbs up for their salmon, salads and prawns.
Excellent service and quality of food was outstanding.
Loved the food, loved the atmosphere
Very good service, class staff and excellent food
A very refreshing atmosphere. I did find though that some of the waiters were not always on top of the situation
We usually love Ocean basket but this Sunday lunch service was poor. Our table of 8 received dishes at different times over the course of 2 hours.Calamari heads overcooked to rubbery greasiness in stale oil. Fried fish still raw. Not nearly to Ocean Baskets normally excellent standard. Clearly need to sort out the kitchen
Fantastic service and wonderful food. Always!
Great restaurant for sea food lovers. Tasty and well priced meals served well on time. The portions are extremely generous. We ordered a plaster for 2 which we could not finish.!! There was a very good portion of leftovers that we got to enjoy with our child☺☺ Courteous staff who constantly wait on you checking all your needs are taken care of. Location and accessibility is good. Spacious too. Made sure we were covid-19 protected through sanitization and following prevention protocols. I felt safe but most of all i enjoyed the food and the service.
Managed to book a table for two on a Saturday afternoon. The service was good and the sushi tasted fresh. Clean and pleasant environment. Just make sure if you are a group and want to pay separately, notify the waiter at the beginning.
Good Food, Good Service, Good company and good vibes. It’s right next to the cinema so you can come for dinner after a movie. The food is just as good as the Ocean Basket in SA, which is surprising because we are very far from the ocean, ha-ha. Made a reservation for 5 and they had the perfect table for us. We had the Full Deck Platter and Platter for two, because there were 5 of us and we had been told the full deck was good for four people. But really, it would have been enough because we had plenty of leftoversWe ordered food before drinks as we were waiting for my parents. The drinks ended up coming later than I would have liked. Got a lemonade to share as well as a Pina Colada cocktail to share. They were both a bit sweet for my taste, but still good. Each drink to share was enough for 3 and a half glasses. My sister got a milkshake and my mom got hot chocolate. They seemed to like their drinks.Overall, pretty good. I enjoyed myself. I just wish there had been music. It adds some ambience, you know? But otherwise, enjoyed seafood in Zim, who knew? Hehe.
I loved this restaurant. It will suit everyone who loves seafood. Nice atmosphere, large selection of fish, squid, shrimp dishes, friendly staff, fast service.
Great food🤤🤤🤤🤤 and customer care
Ambiance could be better, but the food always slaps.
One of the best places to eat seafood in Zimbabwe!A very big variety of foods and drinks! In the heart of village market!Good parking and very close to your supermarkets as well!Hopefully to go there back again soon!
Let’s start off with the first time I went to O.B loved it, service was fast and efficient food was amazing, second time seafood was rubbery salad consisted of lettuce and tomato and danish feta it wasn’t great but it was okay, third time which was today Friday the 25th of June at 5 pm I phoned in 30 mins prior to collecting my order, arrived had to wait a further 20 mins now don’t get me wrong I don’t mind waiting for good food let me start on the salad a tiny little piece of danish feta (about a teaspoon sizeno lettuce no olives huge (and I’m not exaggeratinglike quarters of tomato 4 to be exact onion and a dish full of cucumber, let me add that my friends hake and chips the chips were completely raw had to cook them more and the hake was full of scales. Gist of the story since they have opened I have tasted O.B decline in quality service and lack of interest in providing good food sadly don’t think I will be going back after this.
The food is pretty good and I love their cocktails but as is the case with many restaurants in Harare, they can be frustratingly inconsistent. Overall, however, its a nice place to eat and chill on a weekend afternoon with friends or family. Also the customer service and cheesecake is great😊😊😊😊😊
Im allergic to seafood but this place is worth taking the risk for. Absolutely love it!
Sea food was great. Was served by Tawanda. Very efficient. Intend to go back soon.
Ocean Basket does seafood so well. Its located in the most beautiful part of the mall and their seafood is fresh with its original preparation and generous portions. Slightly more expensive than the counterparts in South Africa but still worth every bite.
This OB restaurant exceeded my expectations considering that its in Harare and in comparison to OB in Cape Town, the platter for 2 was actually really good and as fresh as can be.
The service is wonderful however the food is not fresh. The calamari and most of the sea food tasted off
Good service, not the friendliest.Food was good, not fantastic. You cant go wrong with Ocean Basket at the end of the day. 🤞🤠🤙
Bought takeaway at ocean basket Sam Levy Harare . The service was very good and I enjoyed the food. But next time please put more chips and rice. It was a platter for 2 but these were for one. Otherwise overally the food was well packed and fresh
Went there for my birthday on the 27th of December last year. Food was not very good some of it was too salty and some was under seasoned. We started off with a different waitress n for some reason we got another waitress after having placed our order who then brought us a plata for 2 and yet I ordered one for three and even paid for that cause after I got home I looked at their menu again and noticed that the plata they gave us was for two. My change came back short 2 bucks but it was my birthday and n I was trying really hard not to let anything ruin my mood so I just let that two bucks be the waiters tip because I wasnt going to tip her anyway bcz the whole service wasnt great. Also ordered a long island that tasted really bad I told them it didnt taste right n they were not happy about it instead of tasing the cocktail n realising that it really was tasting off. They decided to bully me and tell me that no u ordered it a long time ago so the ice has melted and thats why its tasting funny like as if that was my first time having a long a island. That really annoyed me n when they saw I was annoyed they took it back brought me another one and it tasted better but not great at all. I have eaten there before like two years ago on a less busy night n their service was ok n food was great so I think they are under new management thats very poor now
One of the top sea food places in Harare. Thoroughly enjoyed one of their prawn dishes. Very fresh and tasty considering that Zim is a landlocked country.
I absolutely love ocean basket, every time I’m craving seafood this is the place I know I won’t be disappointed. The fish is always fresh and I recommend their sushi, next to Oh so sushi they’re one of the best. We had a two way platter to share and it was more than filling. They’re usd prices are definitely fair I wouldn’t recommend going to use RTGS as it can be a bit pricey given the rates.
I love Ocean Basket, its fantastic. My favorite and always go to meal is the platter for 1 with calamari, prawns, hake, mussels, and 🍟 with the in house suggested cranberry juice. Its just explosions 💣 💣💥 in your mouth; flavourful n fresh. Moreover the service is warm welcoming n helpful. Its my new fav restaurant. Thank you for being absolutely amazin.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing food, and good service.
Always well prepared food at reasonable value. Menu now priced in USD with option to pay by swipe at rate of the day. Enjoyed our meal. Reasonable filter coffee afterwards.
This place is e best,it rocks.especially the waiters knowledge in particular great customer service.Customer really is king thereI had prawns n heckfish and chips awesome.thumbs up to u u guys.ocean basket never lets down.see u soon m favourite place
