Excelent food , exquisite wine, love this place

Beautiful restaurant in a great location. Our food was also excellent for the most part. Tagliata was amazing, while the Lasagna was a bit dry. All in all it’s very good value, considering it‘s in the very centre of the city. Staff was also very friendly.Recommend 100%.

The food was OK. The service was lacking. Ordered two times something, never came.

What a shame! This restaurant used to be delicious. But since it changed menu and I think hands it has gone downhill.I ordered a simple pizza, you shouldnt be able to get that very wrong in a mozzarella restaurant, well the did ! A simple pizza with a couple of olives thrown on what is an edible, mozzarella was literally like chewing hard old chewing gum this from an expert in mozzarellas!Again like most of the restaurants in Florence the quality has gone downhill as a mainly cater for tourists therefore the prices go up and the quality goes down. What a shame

We had two pastas here and we were very disappointed. The pastas were far below average; very basic and without any flavoring or spices. However, the mozarella bites we had were nice and we think that the other appetizers would have been nice as well. Cosy place for a cocktail with some bites, but go somewhere else for dinner.

Very helpfuland friendly wait staff. The food was all very nice, and fairly priced.

Food was served very late and the service was very slow. Food was average considering the price and was also served cold, and they gave us the wrong dessert order however the decoration and ambiance sort of compensate for the bad experience

In my opinion, the food was ok/good. But not as good as I would have imagined, for the place standard and pricing.All the mozzarella tasted more or less the same, which is surprising for a mozzarella bar, I had much better mozzarella at other places.The other dishes were good as well, but the caccio e pepe was not at the standard it should have been in an italian restaurant. Way too salty and almost no pepper. The pepper should have been raosted before (even I know that lol !).We mostly had pasta dishes, but the pizza on nearby tables looked great (napolitan style).There was also a mistake in our order, and the waitress didnt really acknowledge it. Later found out that she was very new so I didnt want to cause trouble or make her feel bad.The staff was good overall otherwise.The place itself is amazing though. Going there to hangout and have a drink is a perfect place.

I really liked this place. They have a great open air courtyard to eat in. Chairs are a bit uncomfortable but nothing an extra back cushion didnt fix. Highly recommended for all types of groups.

If you, like me, love mozzarella then this is your place. If you, like me love amazing architectural features along refined interior design, then this is your place. If you, like me, love pizza and good drinks....then give this place a go. You wont be disappointed.

The menu was very interesting. I had the stracciatella for a starter which was just a bowl of cream. I had higher expectations, maybe some accompaniments. The main course ( Grilled octopus with zucchini and burratawas excellent though. Staff was very friendly but busy and we had to wait for our wine for 20 minuter, we had finished our main course by the time we got it. For the expensive price we expected a bit more.

In italy you eat probably everywhere and is good. Here, it was the worst quality. Everything salty or spicy. One bartender for the whole restaurant.

awkward! From the time of entry, through service to payment, we were treated with disrespect and lack of service. Expected from a restaurant of this size that knew how to give a courteous and equal treatment to all its customers. We passed last night in the area of ​​the restaurant and decided 3 friends to sit down for dinner, we stood at the entrance to sign up 7 minutes, the kind guy put us in the place of customers who did not order inside the building where we stood another 10 minutes to be seated, then we waited another 17 minutes to the waiter, but no one approached us So we got up to them. And from the moment they approached? Contempt, lack of attention and lack of kindness . Throughout our meal and even when we went to pay they threw us the excess in contempt and said goodbye. Is this the behavior of a big self-respecting restaurant? Tell me you guys

Very tasty mozzarella tasting platter, followed by an equally tasty truffle pasta dish. We were a little disappointed by the service; while the wait staff were very knowledgeable it was clear they were struggling to keep up with the number of guests, despite only a small section of the restaurant being open.

I have been to Obica a number of times in the past, so I have to say that my experience is not what I have had in the past, with courteous and attentive wait staff, tasty food and nice wines by the glass. My wine was great, a Pinot Blanco from the Alto Adige region. My appetizer (burrataand chicken salad arrived long before my wine did. I was a solo diner, however the restaurant had many open tables so, there was no need to rush service. The burrata was unremarkable, though the presentation was nice. The salad was very bland as if no seasoning was used at all, and no dressing to speak of. Sadly to say, this will likely be my last visit to Obica for a while.

Nice interior restaurant, food was just okay, but the service is the worst among Florence. You will wait 15 min to order anything, then 20 min for negroni, 20 min for the bill. This place is about just waiting and begging the waiters to come to you. There are many much better places in Florence.

Posted hours open at noon. Wife and I arrived a few minutes before opening. Upon opening hostess said they are opening 30 minutes later. Then while waiting in lobby alcove a monstrous group piled in ahead of us. They didn’t have to wait. This is very poor service in my opinion. No wonder it is rated barely 4 stars.

Great looking place. The mozzarella options are stunning. Have the smoked one. Yum.

Nice location and good olive oil.The service was a bit overwhelmed by an event in the terrace.The Gran Tagliere was not bad but also not great quality.There was no focaccia nor gressinni, only the traditional unsalted Tuscan bread which was cut some hours before and did not help with the lack of quality of the cold cuts.The dessert was also a bit disappointing as I am very fond of Bonèt Piemontese.

Extremely poor, slow service. Badly trained waiters who take plates away too early and had to wait over 20 minutes for my drink to arrive even when it was not busy! They had even ran out of mozzarella, and this is a mozzarella bar!AVOID. there are plenty of great restaurants elsewhere.

We had such an great time it was exactly what i / we like! The environment (especially in the gardenis perfect! The waiters were helpful and polite and we tried amazing food. Loved the menu ! :-)

Had the cacio e pepe, I must say, shocking. It tastes better from PaStation, literally took 4 bites and stopped, staff didnt ask why, just took the plates, gave the bill and was done with it... Only thing worth taking about was the fried mozzarella bites which were lovely. I had made a booking, but they couldnt find it, made a big sing and dance about it until I showed them the email and sat me down straight away... Funnily enough the place wasnt fully booked so it was the excuse to look "exclusive" pretty shocking if I do say so myself

Design is top. Super modern and nice.But the the waitresses considered her a doctor and insisted many times on what is recommended for me. I came to try what I want. She made a mess. I was with friends and didn’t want to discuss it at the table.That’s the way one person can destroy the impression.Burger and tomato tartar nothing ordinary. Cuisine is nothing special. But my friend liked spaghetti

Our experience at this restaurant was acceptable.When we arrived a lady “welcomed” us, we felt we were bothering her more than anything else, we actually waited for a while before anyone came.We booked a table through the fork and she had no record of it on her book.Food was alright but nothing crazy, we had the mozzarella tasting and it was average quality, not what we would expect from a mozzarella bar.Environnement is nice and some waiters are too, but it takes a while before they actually come to you for anything.

One of my favorite dining experiences in Italy. Everything is what you expect....ambience is perfect, food is delicious; service on point. Even the prices are great.Get a table in the courtyard if you can! I love this place...thank you so much for a memorable dining experience. A must visit!

Wonderful place! The burratta cheese was delicious 🤤 The pizza was amazing too and so was the ambience. If we ever go back to Florence this will be the first place for food 😊 From what we learned they also have locations in London and NYC. Update 2/2021, we got a second doc and named him Obicà (Obi), that’s how much we loved this place 😍

Lovely restaurant! We sat in the outdoor area. Both the food and service were great.

Lovely restaurant in gorgeous setting.The setting was a great break from the busy streets in a courtyard off of the street.Staff was helpful although they did forget about our pizzas and we ended up waiting a while. They were very appologetic however and all in all good service.Would reccomend the smoked scarmozza and "La Pizza" (from the summer specials cardfor anyone who cant get enough cheese :-)

This sits in a posh section of town, so expect to pay a little more. The courtyard of the restaurant is very nice and today was packed with well dressed vacationing clientele and families, plus some locals. The service here is not meant to be quick but, while attentive should you demand them, easy going. We enjoyed a fabulous pizza,. Made with quality ingredients, an excellent and filling salad, plus of course - from the mozzarella bar - some lovely tasting burrata Pugliese.

The luxury experience in the middle of the city of reinassence and with a sense of belle epoque. The location is unique and also the barman and the other people working there are msot polite and welcoming. Quality, elegance and comfort (try the wide sofaare the common traits of the place. Super!

We were blown away by the atmosphere at first glance, but the service was not good. After the online reservation did not go through, we waited several minutes to be seated. Then, we waited several more minutes before anyone came for our order. One of the waitresses wasted a drink on one of group members. She got an apology, but had to ask for napkins to clean herself. Our food was delayed, two people had to remind the waiter of their order and another never got her complete order. To top things off, our check was incorrect.

Amazing ambiance, delicious pizza and oh my goodness the dessert ( i had the 3 mini dessertsit was the absolute perfect end to my evening!

I absolutely loved this restaurant. Its so fancy yet the prices are so affordable. When you go into this place you feel like you should be dressed in a tux. The outside patio is just very well done. The food is also fantastic. If youre feeling fancy but dont want to trade your arm for food this is where you need to be.

The food was good. Service was a bit slow at times, both in how long it took them to bring things (10 minutes to fetch a beer bottleand in understanding us, but the latter could just be lack of Italian language on our side - I wish it werent so. Also nice location right in downtown.

Absolutely LOVE this place. Quality of the food and wine is amazing. They have the best things from all the different areas in Italy. I especially enjoyed their Bufalla Mozzarella!

Beautiful places in a courtyard hidden from the busy city. Different sorts of cheeses (especially mozzarella and ricotta with buffel milkall fresh and delicious prepared for a good price. High quality slow food .. The stuff was friendly but also very slow in serving us therefor I would like to give full starts but the service needs definitely to improve.

My last memory of Obica from 2014 was much better than this time around. Not sure if just off season or if the quality has dropped. Tomatoes in the caprese salad lacked any flavour (though the buffalo mozzarella was still amazing). Pasta seemed overcooked and also lacking in flavour and texture as well as the sauce. Atmosphere is great though and a lovely old historic building. I hope it picks up again because I really love this place.
