Oasis Parador Hotel - in Mayagueez, Puerto Rico
The restaurant is a joke all the food is obviously Frozen even the fish even though its a town surrounded by water which makes no sense, just lazy and poorly managed. The rooms are decorated hideously its like someones grandma runs the quality control here
This place could be awesome and very romantic if they put money into it...I was there 9 months ago BTW...
Great place. Rooms little small for people with dissabilities. Bathrooms not quite comfortable for dissable people. Ran out of hot water and had to shower with cold water. The attention given by the staff was excellent. Over all a great place.
Good food service 👌🏻
It is the second time I had been there.
Parador means officially sponsored inn. Used to mean something... This is an old but rehabbed hotel, vestige of the early US colonial rule in PR and its sugar kingdoms. Was part of a huge US plantation complex in ruins throughout the area. Rooms ok, pool was nice..harbor is historically and geographically of interest but also polluted and smelly and ugly.... Food was very good, predictable criollo menú. Its all about the red beans and they had five star rice and beans. Staff nice but understaffed. Rooms clean and neat but baths poorly designed. No small things....pool towels? Large towels? Cafe? Bar? They dont sell beer or liquor!!! Part of the grounds has seen better days. Yet it was filled....so they make money and have no excuse....water heater exploded while there so we had to move rooms because of water leaking into bath. Did I say the pool was nice? But not enough umbrellas or chairs.... Staff, as usual in PR, super nice and helpful. Oh, yeah, and Guanica is usually 95 degrees...but super nice breeze that afternoon ...so, not good for long stays, just drop by on the way somewhere else...
Very recinanble, very quiet isolated and family friendly
Excellent place to stay the night! It was cool staying in such a historical building. Would stay here again.
No hot water for washing, dinner for 8 was prepared and served one plate at a time - it took the group forever to finish up and the food is mediocre. They dont serve liquor.
Nice place to stay. Great staff.
Very very clean!!! The room smells very good...sheets extra clean!! Awesome customer service! And food excellent!!! Highly recommended!!
Very clean lovely place. This is a parador, not a 5 star hotel. Good basic place. Refrigerators in the rooms. Hot showers may or may not work, but youre in PR, right?
This is one of my favorite hotels Ive ever stayed at. Loved the peacefulness from the hustle and bustle that the rest of the island had. Clean, comfortable and and absolutely fantastic! History of the place was also quite interesting.
Nice hotel and pool, friendly staff. Will definitely stay here for next visit.
Excellent service, Facilities are good but will need some small changes. The place is centric and you can move to different point of interest in less than 20 minutes.
Excellent customer service. Their staff is super kind, the breakfast was really good. Highly recommend it.
Good value for price. Water pressure is low. Room was clean. Good breakfast.
It was one of the parador with suppost all inclusive food!yeah right not even a single snack, an dont request food head of time or prep for one to eat it in room it would be cold because they prep it much earlier an not on the time you requested it to be prep, an there was food that was not available until the last day from what the menu describe. The room are small, lack of activity only a pool that all the activity one could get, had to leave the premises to enjoy a great time, service was really poor was waste off birthday gift an money, this parador is the only parador out of all parador in Puerto Rico I stayed in this check out in one of the worse consumed money an waste of time it more for elderly people whom just want peace an quite or family with kids but for two young couple it will be a total nightmare an there no return of money, also if you wants quality an serves that even included snack an activity better off going to Maunabo Parador garranty it breath taking an lot of fun.
For the amount of time.we stayed it was great, a little over priced considering where it is.
Stayed one night for my birthday in room 110. Unbeknown to me, I was joined by 50 party guests in the form of bedbugs that ate me up like I was the birthday cake. Management didnt show any interest when issue was brought to their attention. Stay at your own risk!
One of the most beautiful places Ive stayed here in Puerto Rico wow. Great staff and beautiful secluded location
Parador Guanica is a perfect hotel to stay 1-2 nights, the rooms are small but with everything you need, beds are very comfortable and the room smell great(clean). If you want to visit Guanica this is the place, prices are affordable and they include breakfast which was also delicious, our waitress Jose was super nice, friendly and helpful.Thank you. 100% recommended.
The estate and pool are beautiful, the rooms need updating and the food was average. We encountered pungent smell from the bay.
Very nice hotel. Rooms are small and very old school. not very much light in them. Nice people but not much English spoke.
We love staying here, clean place, good food, nice pool, very quiet, we had a nice sleep, close to beaches and the city.
Nice and clean and breakfast is good!!! Quiet can’t beat the price love Puerto Rico so many options to choose from good hospitality 🌴🌴
Lovely hotel, lovely service. Wonderfully situated next to the dry forest, and la parguera and not far for a drive to cabo rojo for a sunset beach dinner. I also had my favorite pina colada of the whole trip here :)
Great location we drove to La Parguera and Dry Forest and Playa Santa and Gilligans Island over several days this place was perfect for $79 a night breakfast was good going back in time with a true local feel. Would visit again.
Quiet and beautiful place, excellent to relax and take a few days out of city and routine. Rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. Food is really good and they have the best employees which gave us an excellent service. We really enjoyed this stay. We will stay in this hotel again for sure!
Stayed here for one month, spent Christmas away from my family in 2017 so imagine my position but the staff made it a great time for me. So, Great! Staff!!!! They go above and beyond to help you with anything you may want or need. The kitchen should be rated as a five star also. It’s all family ran and they welcome you as part of their family. I’m actually headed back this coming February. See you again crew. Then maybe on the ski slopes after that.
You wanted to know the history of sugar plantation, this is one of the last "Haciendas" from the wealthiest landlords of South Coast in Puerto Rico. The food is amazing, the rooms are cozy, relaxing pool.
The room was good and very clean; and the location was convenient for my visit. I enjoyed my visit, breakfast and pool there.
Everything was fine except that the food takes longer than expected. We waited 1hour for the breakfast. We get the all food included deal. The place is very relax with a good view and pool, near good beaches. Overall I had a great stay.
I had a very pleasant time, Guanica has historical sites near by and the Parador has its own history. They have a great staff the area are very clean and the variety of food excellent. The pool has been recently renovated and also near by there are multiple beaches to choose from, it a place where you can relax and enjoy your time. They have decent prices to choose from depending your needs I really recommend and I will definitely visit again.
Dont bother unless you adore 80s hotel decor and aloof staff.
5 star personnel. Bay in front of back rooms.
A glimpse into the world as it was just before the Great Depression. Elegant verandas, dark rooms, narrow mosquito- infested dining area with mediocre food.
" Love the service!!! Everyones friendly, respectful and very welcoming! The hotel is very beautiful and clean also the food is delicious. Is located very close to beaches and towns. When visit Puerto Rico again will defenetly stay here! Thank you very much! Norma Rivera "
Great small hotel. Awesome for a quiet, peaceful stay. The personnel is amazing. Easiest check-in and check-out in my life. Super nice. The pool is big and is only 4 feet deep which waa awesome for my kids and I. We spent from 6pm to 8pm hours playing in the pool because my kids felt safe because it was shallow. Kiddie pool available. Restaurant in the hotel is great. Pet friendly hotel and pro sustainably. Spacious room. You get more than you pay for. Included breakfast and unlimited coffee. Made a mistake on my diner order so they offered to bring it to the room. Even have a bench overlooking the water for smokers. Only down side would have made my stay excellent was a better gym. The gym needs a serious update. At least better cardio options. Other than that, we love it
So far very bad. Just arrived and entered the room with my friend, when we checked the room there were blood stains on the sheets and also on the curtain along with other specks of unknown things. I am extremely disgusted and disappointed.
No complimentary coffee no free ice no a/c in dinning area pool needs serious cleaning no wifi old t.v. with bad reception.
Nice and friendly staff everything was clean ,historic and my kids liked the pool my family had a great time . Thank for everything
The service was excellent. I would love to stay in another occasion. If there are special offers I would like to receive them. Thank you. "
A perfect and some spoky at nights (too much historygreat place and the breakfast is the best ever!!!
It was excellent....had an awesome time....the staffs are all friendly..food was great..met nice people there that were staying... everything is close by.the beaches are beautiful..I would recommend it..great relaxing place....had wifi...
" There is no complaints. Everything was good. ". The hotel has the best location, is a nice quiet town. There are so many places to see closed by, just ask the personal of the hotel and they will give you good advised. The food is excellent and the personnel are very kind and always willing to help.
"Very Clean and Comfortable Room. Very Pleasant Staff. Delicious Breakfast. Beautiful Grounds. Great Swimming Pool.I Highly Recommend Parador Guanica 1929. Hugo "
Very average place - gives you what you need but didnt feel luxurious or "nice" in the least. Rooms are small and could use an update. Grounds have a nice waterside location but there are also a couple of dilapidated buildings on the premises that look like theyve seen much, much better days. Food made in the "restaurant" is passable but expensive for what you get. And with this location, you have to plan day trips out to do stuff - there is nothing to do on he premises or within walking distance. In the end, I guess you get what you pay for.
" Awesome place to get away and. Plenty of attractions and some even within walking distance. Close by the highway and historical landmarks like Porta Coeli Curch in San German and the great city of Ponce with its wonderful Museum of Art. Small but cozy rooms, great restaurant in the premises and highly professional staff. "
We all had a great time. A family trip very well invested. Staff was great and must mention Alanah helped with reservations and Eddie was very welcoming and serviceful at breakfast. Hope to return soon.
