All dorms come with free Wi-Fi and linens plus lockers and shared, en suite bathrooms. There's a guest kitchen, and breakfast is available for a fee. Other amenities include a laid-back lobby lounge, a patio bar and a rooftop terrace. Guided tours are offered.
Overall Good hostel! Great price, location, vibe! I also stayed in TOC in the same trip. In comparison I would say that TOC is prettier, fancier but Oasis is good for socializing and rustic! Both are great. Depending on what vibe you are looking for - I would likely go for oasis next time (since hostels are meant to interactbut if I’m looking for just a cheap place to stay with more me-time then TOC since it feels like a hotel at the price of a hostel!
This hostel has a noise issue. I read comments highlighting this from 5 years ago. Still, I was not able to rest during my 2 night stay. The A/C only made it worse, with strong awkward noises that would wake you up every 10 minsThe staff is aware of this, their solution is that there is nothing they can do, you have to put up with the noiseAlso, the ‘clean’ sheets on my bed had blood stains from another person. The building is in an excellent location but it desperately calls for renovation
We had an anecdote coming to this place - we accidentally booked a stay in Granada Nicaragua (South Americaso the staff/ owner particularly working there was very helpful by giving as a hand for this honest mistake (other people had done in the the pastby asking us to book again the cheapest room in their place and then gave us free up beat on the room. Everything else was perfect, great people, staff, location, vibe, location - coming right up when I am back to Granada, SPAN. :D
Honestly, this hostel is full of thieves. In 2017, I had my camera bag with all my equipment stolen from the luggage room and in 2019, someone tried to steal my backpack from my room and deliver it to his friend outside the hostel who was on a motorbike but I caught him. Always keep an eye on your valuables...they have a whole operation here for stealing things from guests. Happened 2 times!
This is a great hostel. I loved my stay. They had a fun volunteer community that often brought life and good vibes to the very well equipped kitchen. I was able to meet a lot of good people in that environment. The staff were really helpful and gave great travel tips and recommendations. Interior design is cool and cozy, rooms are clean, comfortable, and have enough storage space. Definitely the best hostel I stayed at in Spain.
floors were dirty, shower was the size of a small child and was flooded with hair before anyone even took a shower, breakfast was subpar, and the attitude of one of the managers was so unbearable he should be grateful our paths didn’t cross until we checked out. i wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worst enemy
I stayed Oasis last night in Granada. It was the worst one I have ever stayed:( the breakfast was disappointing, the personnel was not nice, even rude. They also blamed us to broke sth in the room, which we did not. Really the worst part of my Andalucia trip, unfortunatelly:((
Do not go here!!!There was 6 of us in one room and the first day we arrived we realised that the door would not lock! After they said that 6 people from our room would NOT get their €20 deposit - €120 FOR A DOOR THAT WE DID NOT BREAK!Please don’t bother with these people, they didn’t even have cards for everyone we had to share 2 cards?3 other rooms are in the same situation as us for small things like a broken mirror and broken beds, broken doors… this place is old and you can tell they don’t invest their money properly.
the staff were rude and wouldn’t supply us with enough room keys. the bathroom was not clean upon arrival and the whole place felt unclean and badly organised.
Great location, good price, and nice rooftop, but a few things didn’t meet expectations:We only got 1 key for my group of 3 people because they didn’t have any more. My pillow case had hair on it when I got there (several strands on both sides). The room smelled sweaty. Our bathroom was low on hand soap, and they didn’t refill it after I told an employee. Overall, it just didn’t feel clean and wasn’t anything special, but it works if you’re just looking for a place to sleep in Granada.
Honestly before I got in and see the hostel was near a mosque in a neighborhood with narrow streets I wasnt at ease but then I found out it is quite safe, has a beautiful interior but specially a team of young volunteers who are really kind and helpful to the guests, sharing their cooked meals, giving us tips, inviting guests out and they do a magical work because the hostel is so perfctly clean and in order. Definitely these volunteers made this experience absolutely amazing! Besides that I had a lot of luck with these guests because this hostel is really a place you can rest very well...after midnight everyone goes quite and respect each other (not talking of someone who stole my cheese for my breakfast from the fridge...though). Thank you!
its a clean and friendly hostel , the price is perfect . Its located in the center , I really like it , yes the dorms are really small even you can not move comfortably In your bed , the roof is amazing , something that I like about it is next to Bin Zayed mosque so you will not find difficulties in praying .... The receptionist is a good man and very helpful
Thanks Pablo and Luisa for everything Mika treat me really well... If you need me in the future Im just one call away... Thanks to Juan, Cleo, Milena and all of the people that stayed in Granada and Málaga.
Really wished we could have stayed longer!! We loved our stay at Oasis so much even tho we only stopped for one night.Really nothing negative to say about it; perfect location, comfortable beds, clean and large bathrooms, lovely outside area by the bar + a second outside area on the rooftop.Staff was lovely, shout-out to Manu the volunteer, he’s a legend!100% would recommend!
Already looked nice and cosy on the pictures. But really surpassed my expectations! 😃Very nice and friendly vibes.Feels like a home away from home for all the warmhearted people 🏡💕Grateful to have stumbled upon this precious gem 🥰❤️
To our surprise considering the price, this hostel was really good. The location is perfect, right in Albacín but on a quiet street. The place is really nice and well decorated, we had a nice private double room with air conditioner, a balcony and a private bathroom. Also, the man at the reception was really friendly. The only downside was a machine next to the AC which kept making weird noises every now and then but we slept really well anyway.
Had a good stay while at the Oasis Hostel. After some confusion the reception checked me in early and allowed me early access, I was very grateful after a long night of travel. The hostel its self was very nice. It had a beautiful rooftop view. The night staff Trung is very entertaining and helpful! The flamenco recommend by him was fantastic, go give it a watch! They bunk beds do not have curtains to pull across for added privacy but the bathroom was very close and always accessible when needed.I would stay again. They also have a rewards program as they have multiple locations in Spain and Portugal, so take advantage and book through their website.
It was fun, real fun. The roof top is awesome to hang out, the rooms are clean, everything works in the kitchen. All was to my full satisfactionBig respect and shout out Trung, Fabienne, Medhi, Ani, Juliana, Lucían and Nacho.
Really clean and pretty hostel. The kitchen is really big and clean. The receptionist was really nice to me and the whole place just makes you happy. Would definitely recommend
This hostel was almost exceptional, but a few things could be improved : the bathroom was small (only one toilet/sink/showerfor a room of 12, there are no locks to take with a deposit and ear plugs arent free. Otherwise it is beautiful and practically located, and the staff is friendly.
My Savior was wonderful, mostly because I had an entire room to myself for Three nights. The room was also unbelievably clean along with the rest of the hostel. Annie (day time receptionistwas awesome! She was so professional and went above and beyond for me and Im sure other guests. She suggested where I should buy tickets for certain activities, She asked me what I was doing to make sure I was doing all of the right things, She told me about the loyalty program even though I had already stayed at your hostel in Malaga and Seville. She got me a refund on my seventh night.
Out of the 50+ hostels I’ve stayed at in Europe, I think this was one of the best places to socialize. There are a couple of hostels in Granada that are a bit cheaper, but I think the extra few euros is totally worth it.Right in the center of the vibrant Moroccan market and the entrance of Albacin. It’s nice that you can go out for beer and tapas of Moroccan food and not have to walk 15 minutes back. One of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed at; and I understood why when I saw the cleaning staff cleaning very heartfully in the morning. Very kind staff overall. They offer a bunch of tours and events for a cheap price (the guy they partner with gives discountsif you’re into that kind of thing.Granada is a city that has a special place in my heart and I think it’s partly thanks to this hostel. It was a pity I couldn’t extend my stay (there was a large group that reserved all the bedsbecause I loved it so much! Definitely coming back when I’m in Granada next time.
I booked for 2 nights at Oasis Granada because I was at Oasis in Sevilla and I loved it, but soon I realised it wasn’t thesame thing at all. The kitchen wasn’t clean : the tables were sticky and the fridge stinked. My friend and I bought some groceries and we wrote our names and the date we were leaving on our food like we had to. The morning after, all of the things we bought were in the section « free food » and the staff told us there was no reservation at our names (Which is ironic because we arrived the day before and there was like 4 people in the hostel). It was all fresh vegetables so it was clearly bought recently. We didn’t make a big deal out of it because at least they didn’t trow it away but it wasn’t professional. On the other night, someone in our room claim to have bedbugs in his bed so we were all in panic at that moment. The next morning, we saw that we had some in our bags also. The girl at the reception proposed to do our laundry but we had to leave that morning to Madrid. Then, she said the boss would send us a message and probably give us the money it was going to cost to do it. We had to do our laundry in Madrid and it cost 26 euros which is almost 40$ in Canada (In my country I could’ve done it for less than 10$). We sent a message to the Hostel because they didn’t. The boss answered one week after and said he couldn’t do something about it because it wasn’t the fault of the Hostel. I think this is ridiculous because it is even less our fault and we had nothing in return for the lack of responsability of the guest(s).We are really disappointed and we will never recommend that place and never go back.
Great experience staying at the hostel. The staff were always very accommodating and helpful. The atmosphere was great as well. I would definitely recommend!
Our experience was great. The place is well decorated and fun. We loved the pool, the bar, the ping-pong table and even the somewhat rickety pool table. The place was filled with fellow travellers which of course lent greatly to the experience. We liked it so much we stayed an extra two days.
None of the advertised scheduled events actually happen. From seafood paella Saturday, to the Monday Wednesday Friday hike. Tour guide will cancel tours with you sitting there if he thinks he wont make enough money on that day. Nice building and nice roof. Impersonable staff. Not much help from the staff to create a community. Classic chain. Its a nice place but dont go for the falsely advertised events.
The Oasis Backpacker Hostel was a nice place to stay. The staff was very nice and helpful with everything you want to know. Rooms were clean and appropriate. Located in the Arabic district in Grenada you come around quickly to hot-spots in the city.
Four homeless people not only got into our room but dragged a queen-sized mattress into the room. They smoked in the room and slept there beside our bed. When we complained the next morning, management scolded us for not having stepped over the homeless people (who we would have literally had to step OVERto tell the front desk. We asked for a refund for a terrible visit, and they said there was nothing they could do. Ive stayed in dozens of hostels and this was by far the worst experience Ive ever had. The rooms were decent, beds were hard, the walls were thin so you could hear everything everyone was saying outside... Just a terribly unpleasant experience.
From the minute I walked in It felt like home. The dark timber beams of the ceiling and tiled floors make it feel cozy and the staff greet you with a smile. The rooms are warm and comfortable with plenty of light and the common areas are spacious. Theres a lot to be said for couches. It is surrounded by plenty of restaurants trending towards middle eastern cuisine.I can highly recommend this hostel!
Great place to stay at as a solo backpacker! There are nice common areas, friendly atmosphere and a lot of events and activities to join. I met awesome people there and would definitely go there again. Thanks expecially Jana, Matti, Alba, Elena (and all the staff reallyyou play a big part in making the place so lovely ^.^
Fab, its situated up a side street (pedestrianthe street itself is made up of morroccan style cafes & gift shops, lively and full of colour, the hostel itself is a hidden gem, wirh a really large wooden front door, inside its beautiful with kitchen, bar, outside terrace etc, rooms are a bit tight but its to be expected in a hostel, bed was comfy to sleep in, large shower/bathroom & aircon in room. Also a georgous roof top terrace with shower and fab views and glass floor which gives it a unique feel. The hostel has loads of activies are great prices, i went on Mikas hiking tour in los Colhoras /sierra nevada mountains... Great value & my favourite trip... Highly recommended hostel, i enjoyed my stay and will definitely return, good mix of ages staying here and prime location to cathedral & various sights
Great hostel! Rooms were very clean with a nice social vibe. Location was fantastic, nearby a lot of food places to eat and take pictures. Went on a sunset sangria tour and had an absolute blast.
I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful and gave good tips for food. I also booked a flamenco show with their help. They also offer lots of activities to interact with other guests. The rooms were small but there is a rooftop terrace and other common spaces to hang out if you want. The building cool and the place has a cosy familiar vibe. Great location. Quiet at night but close to the center and the Alhambra.
More pricey than average $$, but my experience was well compensated by the city sky view and chic interior. The building itself looked old, almost primeval. At 170cm, I am relatively short. When I entered the entrance, I felt like a hobbit entering an elfing bar.It was hard to find since it was not located in the main road, but I was near city center and good foods :D But I appreciated the remoteness. It rained when I visited, so the upstairs outdoors patio was closed.
Tiny rooms, barely space to place your luggage anywhere.1 restroom per 10 people.Disgustingly dirty rooms.Breakfast is way to expensive for what you get (old bread and nothing to get satisfied).Creepy people aroundLocated very good - close to everything you usually visit.Nice rooftop-lounge.
Good hostal with lots of nice hangout areas. There is a nice pool and a social hour where you get a few free run and cokes . The room we were in was ok. It was very hot in the property as the wind cant really get in
Im not sure who is writing these good reviews about this hostel... I have stayed in plenty of hostels (some with lower ratings), but this hostel is FILTHY! I hope you dont book this place but if you do, you will see what I mean:Think bathrooms with mold and grime on the corners, dusty bed posts and tables/surfaces that had dried food particles on it...kitchen was so filthy I didnt want to spend time in itThe little patio place had garbage bags laying everywhere. The couches by reception were pretty filthy to the point where I did not want to sit on them. And the floor of this place was not swept in god knows how long.I had a hard time sleeping here and touching things.I guess looking at the type of people that stayed there for the 2 days I was stuck there, I can see why some could tolerate it.There were two good sides to it though: the last that worked there switched our room with the tiny shower with mold and grim around the doors and corners, so not a bad customer service I guess. The day tours and tour leader was also great. And the location is an interesting one too.
Oasis Backpackers hostel is located in the heart of busy center of the city. Everything is walking distance and the price are super good compared to other places I tried. They always have activities going on.Staff is super friendly and all help you the most they canSuper chill place.
Good location, helpful staff, lots of activities organised. The rooms could have more space but since its a youth hostel, its fine. If you sleep in the down bed, youll probably hit your head in the morning because the bed under you is really low.
Great location location in the heart of a market street. This hostel has amazing showers! High water pressure and large shower rooms. They offer an AMAZING hiking tour which I highly recommend. Also the bar and patio is so much fun and amazing for socializing. They also do free walking tours and a paid pub crawl. The staff are friendly and helpful ! They price clean linens which is great. The only downside is the spotty WiFi connection.
Not convincing. Very disappointed about the processes and services. It was the first hotel/hostel I ever experienced, that told me that its impossible to check in earlier than 1:30pm. I have never experienced something like that before, usually its always everywhere possible to at least check in and do the obligatory paperwork. So then on a Friday at 2pm it took almost one hour until it was my turn to check in.Breakfast wasnt ready as scheduled at 9am and it was unfortunately not even possible to obtain a coffee in the kitchen for the ones who had to leave earlier.Pros: Very good location and a lot of organized events.
This place was so chill, super clean, affordable and fun tours as well as drinks and tapas. Great rooftop terrace and quiet after midnight. Beds are comfy and rooms are cleaned every morning. Perfect location for walking to everything as well.
Lovely hostel in a great location, they even have a nice little pool which was great to cool down in. The owner was absolutely lovely and she and the rest of the staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. You can see that a lot of work is being put into the space to continue improving it. The only downside was we were in a private room and the pigeons like to hang out on the roof and can be noisy in the morning, but nothing that cant be rememdied with a good set of ear plugs :)
Good hostel, great location. It has a pretty social atmosphere but I was able to relax too (near the end of my trip, much needed). Staff is helpful, €2.50 breakfast is only okay, terrace is awesome. Close to the Alhambra off of a small alleyway full of vendors. Overall good hostel!
Great location, really friendly and helpful staff. The room that I was put into was incredibly messy and I suspect that there were people who had been living in that dorm for some time. Drains blocked in shower, no wall sockets for each bed or individual lights. Not enough lockers in room for the amount of beds. There are signs up in the outdoor courtyard saying no noise after 12am, but this didnt appear to be enforced. Great security, with main entrance to hostel & dorms only able to be accessed by key card.
The activities organised by the hostel were great (especially the hike in los cahorros), got to meet lots of other people staying at the hostel and was a good way to see the city and surrounding areas. Good location in the alcaiceria area, 5 minute walk from the cathedral and bus stop to the main bus station. You have to pay extra for breakfast but it was pretty good, they cook it fresh for each person, not like a buffet and theres a choice of three different options. Staff were very friendly and helpful and they can help you sort out tickets for the Alhambra, flamenco shows, buses etc. Good, social atmosphere.
Very nice amicable environment, friendly staff, Clean rooms and cozy environment. Its in the centre of Granada in old Arab Market, all amenities near by. Alhambra, Cathedral and Restaurants in walking distance. It has its own bar, Internet facility, Kitchen & dinning area...recommended.
The hostels location is very central, with easy access to all the sights in the city. The rooms are clean, and ours came with a great view looking across the rooftops towards the Cathedral.
Awesome location nearby a market and at the center of town. The hostel may be difficult to find for those without GPS and a map. The floors were a little sticky unfortunately, but it just comes with the hostel experience. Standard luggage lockers provided in rooms and for the day you check out. Plenty of outlets inside the rooms and beds felt sturdy. Wifi was available and fast enough but the connection wasnt the best.
Lovely decor with roof terrace and climbing vines over the railings add to the charm here. excellent location in the centre a minute from Gran Via and Calle Elvira full of tapas bars. Very helpful friendly staff. The main annoyance was theres only one bathroom with shower per dorm so if it was occupied youd have to go downstairs to use it.
