Park with a grassy field, playground & picnic areas, plus bocce courts, a carousel & a small train.
The park is beautifully surrounded in nature, where it shares a year-round flowing creek with Vasona Lake County Park. It boasts a park with a grassy field, playground & picnic areas, plus bocce courts, a carousel & a small train that has history. The only downfall here is the Bathrooms. They need up-grading, like yesterday.
Very well laid out, beautiful greenery, but not nearly enough parking, and no directions to any other lots nearby, if any exist
I wish the train and carousel was running during the week. That seems to be the case only in the summer.
I met my friend here for a stroller walk and we had a great time. There is a nice long out-and-back paved path that is partly in the shade. It winds through a park and next to water. The path must be quite popular, as it was pretty crowded on a Wednesday morning. Near the parking lot was an adorable playground that I imagine my baby will enjoy when he is older.
Lots of picnic spots. Open grounds, play structures, train ride, carousel..Tons of fun for kids and adults.
Nice park with lots of picnic tables to enjoy your sandwich from Los Gatos Meats.
Nice park, some slides are broken for a long time ago , still remains broken
Great park! Also nice area for a picnic. π
I hadnt been there since Ive taken my children it was just as amazing as it was 40 years ago so much to do
Ive never had a bad experience at this park. Its clean and it has great equipment for the kids. Lots of grass to play on as well.
Amazing, fun, and big park. Train and airplane exhibits. Fair enough parking space in/out all the time.
Friday afternoons get crowded but its a great park for various activities.. walking, biking, picnics, soccer practice for kids and many more.
Great place for family outing. Very clean and lot of things to do for kids. Train ride is a must!
A great place)The airplane is a real treasure
Nice park, especially for family with kid, can spend whole day.
Really nice park. Quiet mid week. It has a wonderful playground for very young kids and older ones too. Our go to park with the grandkids! Weekends the Billy Jones train rides and carousel are very popular.
Looks nice but itβs not wheelchair friendly if you park on the street. Very steep stairs and inclines.
Good to visit. Kids rides are good to try.
This park has a lot to offer with multiple play sets, a train, old fire engine and airplane. There is also a carousel and train available on weekends for just $3 a ride.
I love this place! Very kid and adult friendly. Lots of ground to play on, pathways, a creek where you can dip your feets, lots of green lawn to picnic on, a carousel. Also there is a train that both adults and kids can ride on. Id guess it lasts for about 10 minutes. For two bucks a ride, its a grand deal!Parking currently costs $5. Go on the earlier side since the lot tends to fill up. I assume this $ is going towards maintaining this park. It shows - everything looks great! Clean, comfy & fun
Attended a lovely outdoor picnic memorial on Sunday...clean area, plenty of benches, tables, very family friendly....parking lot fills up fast...parking on street (University Avenueworked out fine for us.
A fantastic place for a summer evening walk. Itβs never normally too crowded. Plenty of paths and multiple play areas for the little ones - and donβt forget the carousel and miniature train.
One of the best parks I have been. Tons of activities, theres also carrousel and train rides. A long trail to enjoy nature while doing some exercise. We will come back again soon!!
Great park for kids and family!
The McKee family has been coming here for as long as I can remember, dating back to the late 60s. Oak Meadow Park has so much to offer, BBQ areas for family events like our Family Reunions, playing fields for softball/volley ball, extensive playgrounds, Davy Jones Rail Road, the carousel, or just walk endless miles into and around Vasona. PROTIP...get there early because the parking lot is small and fills up fast or park on University just above the park and walk down. Parking on University gets busy too so go early. Sat/Sun from 10-1, youll also encounter Beachgoers who get off HWY 17 to try and avoid the beach backup and drive down University, so often times on Sat/Sun it pays to avoid Los Gatos Blvd/University/Winchester between 10am & 1pm. Enjoy!
If your looking for a good park for your early morning exercise, walking, biking and nature vibes. You must visit this place π
Amazing park my kids love it here
Nice park. A nice big open area for kids to run around. Train was not open but going back when its running again. The playgrounds were clean and great from different ages. We also were able to take a nice walk from Oak Meadow to Vasona Park. The bathroom was ok too.
Loved the park!! Lots of trees π³π²for shade in this heat wave!ππ . A creek with ducksππ¦π¦! A carousel to rideπ . Ticket to purchase first.π$3. And sno cones to cool you downπ¦πππ after your train ride!!ππ!! Parking on street, short walk down hill to the park! Have Fun!!ππ
One of our favorites. The airplane is great fun and it has plenty of swings. A lovely little walk by the river and around the historical train and carousel is fun too.
Pay-to-play playground. Has several structures, parking, and a (not cleanbathroom. Lots of picnic tables, but theyre packed close. Large lawn for sitting in the grass (with camomile growing, which is nice!). An ok option, but nothing worth having to pay to used a public park.COVID note: In addition to tables being close to each other, almost no one had masks on, even on the play structures
Nice park for kids. The Billy Wildcat Railroad is definitely a plus. Lots of Groups areas for BBQ. Longer trails for jogging and biking are available at the adjacent Vasona County Park.
Super spacious park in Vasona Park in Los Gatos. This park is basically the park with the red train station and train nearby. Perfect spot for yoga, playing frisbee, or just relaxing and enjoying the fresh air.
A relaxing park! You can also participate in parent-child activities! Good place!
So relaxing. .. the park is open for children. LOTS of places for big party cookouts with large BBQ pits!!! Long shady places to walk, skateboard, bike ride, scooters, & pets are allowed!!!!
Good place for kids play and hangout. The train is too popular and the waiting line is too long. We spent half one half to wait for our turn. The parking space is too limited in the park. On weekend we arrive at 11:00 and no parking lot is available. But we can park in the street. The giant hot dog is delicious and my kid loves it and ate it all.
So much to do here! Dont miss the train--its only 3.00 per person. And the antique wooden carousel is πππA great place for a birthday party, but make sure you reserve your space in advance; this park is a popular place for parties!
My two year old loved it here. We rode the train and carousel multiple times! Nice sized park with lots of things to do and places/play areas to explore. Come early. The park grounds got more crowded as the day went on.
Nice park for the picnic and play time for kids.
Very cool place to visit with kids. They have ton of stuff for kids to play with - an old historic carousel, really cool train, a model of a fighter jet, big lawn and a big playground. They sell snacks, hotdogs and burgers by the train station too. Overall awesome place to check out.
Beautiful. So many things to do. Huge grassy field, many table areas that can be reserved. The train and 100 year old carousel are the stars of this park.Keep in mind you need to pay for parking, though I never seen a machine to pay.
Big, clean, green and awesome park.. great one for family with kids... Carousel and Train are additional fun!!
It has your standard park with monkey bars and slides but also has a small train ride a small creek and other amenities. Connected to a much larger park for hiking and boating etc. Only four stars because parking isnt as easy as it could be and the picnic area isnt well shaded.
Beautiful park and a great Fourth of July Celebration! Los Gatos really knows how to put on a festival!
Lovely wooded park with firetruck and plane to climb on in addition to the play structures. Huge field to play on in a lovely setting
We had a birthday party at the park. We paid for a picnic area. When we got to the park the morning of, there were signs already out saying that the particular picnic area was reserved by us. That was impressive. We were right next to the carousel and train. We had a great time. This is a lovely park and will come back again and again. The only thing that sucks is the parking. For the amount of people that use the park, the parking lot is way too small. I had to park on a side street.
Best place ever if u want a real fun and entertaining park experience.
On happy December. The Holiday Train.Ride aboard the Wildcat Railroad through the enchanting Fantasy of Lights set up in Vasona Park.
Great park with a small parking that is payable and no gates for small kid. Has a train and swings. Has a fake plane and lot of grass. Nice place to take pictures.
Beautiful park!! Plenty of fields to run around in, large play area with swings, slides, jungle gym, and old plane and fire truck to climb all over. Great place for kids of all ages. At far side of park is carousel and 1/3 scale miniature train you can ride on for $2 a ticket. The park has peaceful trails you can walk along a small river, however bikes often race along these paths and can be dangerous for small children.
