1 Mill St, Luton LU1 2NA, Luton
OYO London Luton - in Luton, United Kingdom
I lived here for months during covid lockdown. The room was comfortable and spacious. House keeping was regularly carried out. The breakfast was OK sometimes but probably not worth the £7 extra charge. Close to all amenities and travel links. Comfortable and perhaps good value for money.
Its cheap and cheerful, the window didnt shut in the frame so was fairly cold and noisy, gets some strange guests but it is cheap, I tried it twice, didnt go back. Good location and the staff are really nice, which is the only reason Id go back
Its closed...6 guys waited 2 hours .gate boarded up .no one answers buzzer.no lights all is dead.if you call no answer .no messages just take your money and laugh.thought only thais scammed people give it a miss I suspect government is lodgeing asylum garbage here
Worst! Low class, dirty, unfriendly staff and middle class price!
Smells so bad, not clean, old furnitures...
Bad experience, very bad! Rude and ugly people, 0 hospitalitty, no breakfast, no wifi! And Ander much more!!! 😞
£30 a night is ok..good condition for this moneyMatress need to change..no good sleep..amd also manny issues with room key..need ti change cards..they dont work.properly
It was a very nice place to stay in, receptionist was lovely and very helpful too. Definitely somewhere Id revisit
If I could give 0 ratings, I would, honestly. Room smelling very bad and they couldnt move me. Had to open the door to let in fresh air for Out 3 hours before able to sleep till next day. Air-conditioning not even properly working, NO WINDOWS and the extractor is awful. AVOID AT ALL COST. Better hotels around for the same price. Annoying thing is they collect £50 deposit. SMH never again!
£20 for the night, I wasnt expecting much. In that, I wasnt surprised. However, key card entry, air conditioning, rain shower, new toilet set, very good pressure. The TV was small, but adequate, a few free view channels. The bed was comfortable, with a nice duvet. Probably my best sleep in a long while.Reception staff was a thrill, very nice lady, friendly, good sense of humour.Car park, with barrier entry. Coded exit.Unfortunately no window on a wall, but there was a skylight,For the price, did the job very well.I definitely will stay here again if Im in the area.
Thin sprung mattress. Not very comfortable. Also a thin duvet. Other than that quite a good stay.
Nice place, but how would a hotel room lack a chair for its guest to seat on. The beds are spring beds so it makes some cranky noise when u try to move on it, disturbing your partner. The Internet is very slow. But its a nice place if u only have sleep and rest in mind.
I found the hotel very nice .I stayed there for two consecutive weekends for privacy reason , but i must say i loved it .The first thing i liked was the free and easy access parking .The stuff was very nice and kind . During the day there are two girls , one is very funny and the other one a little less , but very professional both.Instead at night a very nice and kind woman , whom i chatted a bit .The hotel is very clean congratulation to the stuff.Having been there for four nights i changed several rooms . The only things i didn t like is that some room should be checking the showers. The water splashes all over the place except on your body , it was funny chasing the water , i laughed but if someone wants to relax it is better to fix a little .My vote is 8 only for the shower problem otherwise i would have given 10 .
Conveniently located and value for money . Poor WiFi and rooms in need of refurbishment.
Extremely rude morning staff, absolutely no customer service skills what so ever. Bed comfortable as a wooden plank, strange smell from toilet area.
Booked and paid for a room only to turn up to the reception desk to be told they overbooked. Avoid OYO at any cost! Terrible customer service as well as they didn’t offer me an alternative solution. They simply did not care!
Stayed here for a night before a early flight. It was conveniently close to the airport and extremely cheap but the bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. Pretty much every spring had broken and the mattress was obviously very worn. The bedroom and bathroom had a very odd smell and the bath was absolutely filthy dirty. The carpets in the hallways looked like they havent been cleaned in years and the whole room seemed sort of grubby. Definitely would not recommend and wont be staying again
Great value for the price we paid. Very clean. Helpful staffThey let us have a takeaway in the communal bar area.
Room was spacious and comfortable with a large modern bathroom. However there was no air-conditioning and the windows in the room didnt open! The fan broke down in the middle of the night. Also there was no hot water in the bathroom in the morning (there had been the night before). Because of the lack of ventilation in the room, we had great difficulty sleeping. This hotel needs to lift its game.
Stopped in the bar for a drink randomly, great service from the member of staff who appears to be both Bar Maid and Receptionist this evening. Decent prices for 3 of us drinking per round, comfortable seating and nice atmosphere.
I phoned up to make a reservation. The call handler was from a central reservations team who asked "what the time was there?".Upon arrival at reception, we were greeted with a little surprise as the member of staff was sure that the place was full. However, we explained that we had a reservation and so all should be okay. There was no reservation and after travelling for a while, this was very disappointing as we then had nowhere to stay and had to find somewhere else to go quite late at night. Apparently central reservations mess up a lot like this. Massively disappointed and probably wont bother trying to stay here in the future after this experience.
I booked this hotel for 4 nights. Upon arrival I was allocated to a room that quite frankly smelled like POO, had lots of stains on the carpet and was beyond hot (3rd floor). The kind night receptionist checked the room with me, confirmed previously stated and managed to find me a different room. I received a call in the morning from Jessica who informed me that I had to go back to my previous room as the one I was in was booked. I went downstairs and I explained that the previous room was very smelly but I would be happy to go back there as long as the stench was gone. I went up to the room and it was just the same. I returned to the from desk where I was told that it doesnt matter and I still had to move. When I refused I was told by Jessica that she will call the POLICE unless I obey... I replied that I will call the police myself as I was already checked in and unpacked in the new room. Then she CANCELLED my key so I couldnt go back and said that she will only let me in if I take my stuff. I spent 1.5 at the front desk with no water or anything to eat, calling the service center which was courteous but not very helpful. I asked Jessica to go up to the room with me and see for herself and she replied that she had problems with her sinuses and normally cant smell a thing but she agreed to go up to the room with me. When we entered she said that she cannot smell anything and I said well obviously since she has her nose problems. She replied that it is not an everyday issue and that today her sense of smell was miraculously fine LOL She disregarded the appalling state of the carpet and still insisted that I have to move to that room. I said that maybe I could survive just one night there but I would like to be moved to a different room for the remaining 2 nights. She said that she cannot do that because it will mess up the system. Literally zero will to help me out there at all. FINALLY another receptionist, a nice man named Richard, came to the screen pointing his finger at something and said that she can just put me in another room. Within 10 min I was allocated a room that I paid for. I have never experienced anything like that in any other hotel I stayed in and being a receptionist myself I cannot comprehend how something like that could happen. I would vouch for Jessica to seek employment in a different sector (preferably somewhere where she wont be the face of the company).
Very good for price. Had trouble with booking agent originally. Last minute change of hotel, just before we were to board a flight. Staff were helpful and accommodating.
Beautiful place amazing customer service couldnt ask for better
Very friendly, and supportive staff. The rooms were very clean.
Very disappointing/angry I booked and paid over the phone and its now the day before I was going to be there and they have booked me in for the wrong day. I now have no accommodation and they wont refund me even though it was their error in booking a different day to when I asked for it. The whole process was difficult and I wouldnt recommend!
Hit and miss.Almost stayed here twice. Well, the first time was actually nice, room was clean and in a good condition (ground floor). But the 2nd time we landed around midnight so we were allocated one of the last rooms available.Long story short, we were really tired but the room was so bad that we had to leave and find alternative hotel. But to be fair, all the staff was friendly and helpful. Also their office followed on with refund, so thats a positive. Our advice would be to either book a better hotel, or call upfront to make sure that youll get one of their renovated rooms downstairs.
Best place to live inEcnomicaly goodIf you book 1 week prior you will deduction tooo.
Warning!Honestly - avoid all OYO hotels if possible.Everything will be NOT as you expected and they can cancel your booking then you’ll arrive with a saying “sorry, we are overbooked, bye”. !!!They stole money from our credit card twice without any notice!!! and we are still fight to get it back. They cheat on people in every possible way - rooms were very small and very different from Booking.com photos, it is dirty all around the hotel, heavy used and dirty bedding with hairs(!!!), staff is rude, beds are 180 cm long, people are smoking in other rooms, realy noisy, tiny bathroom - it is almost impossible to enter, customer service is telling lies... it is really hard to believe that this hotel is in Europe.!!! For us it was nightmare. Would leave negative stars if I could. Please read all one star reviews and you will get the real view of OYO hotels.
The reception staff are amazing. So accommodating, welcoming and hospitable.I always choose this Hotel when I am in the area for business.
The staff was kind, but the place was small and not so nice
Cheapest hotel weve find in the rush nere from the airport, good staff and no problem for the reservation on the website.Apreciate the TV and free shampoo in our room, at 30£ for 3 I didnt expect that.Lost 1 star for the durty spots on bedding and bugs. One again for the hair and the dirt in the shower before we used it.
Very good service, clean, cheap room.
Brilliant place at very reasonable distance from the airport and very affordable. Clean rooms with nice deco. Would benefit from double glazed windows as I didnt get much sleep despite the bed being so soft..
If you like trains youll love it here 🚄🚄🚅🚅🚉🚂🚂
I was very pleased !!! firstly, I have spent a penny in the center of the city; I can go anywhere; everything is nearby; staff are helpful; many shops. and everything is very cheap !!! I hope that in the new year everything will be at the same level as now !! I put 25 pounds in the room; everything was needed in London for 65 pounds; there isn’t what I got at this hotel. there is breakfast you yourself can choose what you want and create one for you personally. I read some comments I think they were wrong !!
Fair deal for the amount i paid. Really good. Thank you.
Decent hotel... At first my key wouldnt work so I was stuck outside. Popped out for a short while and couldnt get back in :not cool considering I had a 4am start. Close to the airport. Taxi is about £8-12 depending where youre dropped.
It was pretty good value for what i got ! Nice staff
Functional. Clean. Warm. Hairdryer cable burnt but asked for another and got one. Not generous on shower gel. Would definitely use again. Taxis from the airport to this hotel cost 6.50GBP but we asked reception to order us one to Luton Airport in thr morning and the driver asked for 9.50GBP. Be wary of that.
Good stay, very comfy bed and clean room.
Terrible broken bed! Would give zero stars if that was an option! We have just checked in here and when lying down on the bed have found the mattress is completely knackered with the springs pushing out and the divan base is broken so the bed sags! Went to reception to ask to be moved to another room to be told the hotel is aware some of the beds are broken and have ordered new ones but these havent arrived yet and they cant move us to another room as they are fully booked. We queried why the room was being used for guests if the hotel are aware the bed is broken but the girl on reception couldnt give us an answer.Tried to have a shower this morning and the cold water pressure is terrible meaning the shower was dangerously hot to the extent we couldnt really shower. Its a shame as with decent beds this hotel would be quite pleasant but a decent bed to sleep on is a basic requirement for us for a stay in a hotel before an early flight and not being able to shower was a further nightmare after a night of very little sleep. We wont be staying here again and will be staying in one of the windowless Easyhotel rooms down the road for half the price. They may not have windows, but the beds are comfy and the showers dont scald you...
A bit old building but the service by the staff was very helpful. Specially a women that work the night shift. She was remarkable kind and helpfully .
Very nice hotel, great shower but please please turn the heaters right down. Was like a sauna.Room was mint. Service great.
In terms of cost effectiveness, I would say very nice, especially compared to the easyhotel nearby here.
Although the rooms are ok getting through to customer service is a nightmare. Forgot my suit hanging in the room and couldnt get through to the hotel. The number given rings to some call centre who have no idea how to contact the hotel itself.
Excellent location and the rooms are spot-on, cheap and easy
Bed is too small for two larger people
Says they have wifi, they actually dont. No AC, the room was blazing hot, the bathroom smelt like a hotbox of cigarettes, and the room was dirty. Avoid at all costs.
Great service, but the hotel was not as expected
