ON TAP in Taipei

Good pub, good pub menu, decent draft list including some craft options. Detailed English-language menu, and the staff spoke English both times I went. Patio closes early.

As good as it gets for British Pubs in Taipei, and its pretty darned good. Great tap list, all the food we tried was solid, and the atmosphere is pretty fun. Only problem is the hour they have to close at because of their neighborhood, and thats not their fault.

Sort out your English commentary of matches otherwise I might as well stay at home.

Good selection of beers at a decent price (especially during happy hour!). Had some fries with cheese and jalapeno gravy as well which were delicious. It was a very comfortable environment and they had the premier league on tv which was a bonus!!

The most interesting restaurant I’ve ever been. Taiwanese waiter who doesn’t even understand basic English prepositions tryna look down on Taiwanese customer that speaks Chinese💀Come visit and feel this energy if y’all need someentertainment

The deal of its happy hour is amazing. However, indoor seats are quite noisy when its packed. Therefore, you might want to take the outside seats at the Friday night.

British pub style sports bar at a convenient location in the Dunhua area. Staff was friendly and the burger delicious with freshly made fries. Good alternative to Brass Monkey.

The cool vibe, most of the staff were bilingual which is good for foreigners, the food & drinks were great! The location is also accessible, good pub choice for those who wanna chill after a busy week at work or uni. The Quesadilla & original burger we chose were 👌🏻

Had a company farewell party last week, which was great. However, I got back again 3 days later since the stamped invoice can’t work for our finance system. There is a waitress, Cindy, who is really patient and took care of the crazy POS machine and got me a correct one with company numbers. Really appreciate!

Iiked their staff, so nice and efficient. I ordered their club sandwich which was very delicious and abundant in quantity, I had to take the rest, and had it for breakfast the next day. Absolutely recommended.. try their club 🥪. Its a 很好吃For Real!!!

Great Pub and Restaurant. Great selection of pub fare food and drinks. Best located pub in the city in the heart of the shopping area and easy access to MRT. Nice large outside seating area that most pubs dont have. Best Bar for live sports as well billiard games and darts. Advise to book ahead, especially on weekends and busy nights. Friendly staff and great hosts. Service is fast...you wont go thirsty.

Good beer, nice atmosphere.It’s loud and noisy, like one expects a pub to be.I would definitely come for the beer and ciders.Food is okay, not a big fan for the fish and chips, but probably because I miss the ones I had in Australia too much.

On Tap had been my favorite bar until one disgusting dinning experience I had last year...We were seated in the basement for the very first time because all the tables on the first floor were reserved. The air was stifling and damp down there. I saw one cockroach climbing on the wall so I moved to another table. When I thought this table was safe, there were two, three, four cockroaches fleeing on the bench, through the floor and even landing on my shoes... The manager waived the charge and apologized, emphasizing he would try his best to get rid of the roaches. Now three months have passed and I still have no courage to dine at On Tap again. Although their foods are great, the hygiene is dubious.

The last time I visited this bar was November 2020. I used to love coming to this bar, until they sat us down in the basement on that night. At first I didn’t realize there were roaches running on the wall, on the tables, and on the floor (who would expect that?until they ran on me. The next thing I knew, I dropped my food, screamed and rushed to the gate telling the waitress I’m leaving. The manager came apologize and spare our checks that “the bugs are sometimes very hard to get rid of”. Okay whatever I just can’t come back to this place ever again! It’s way too gross and I doubt the sanitation and hygiene in their food, in the kitchen, and in any corner we might not be able to see in the bar. Even though I liked the food, it’s THE WORST experience I can ever have in a bar!! I would have give zero star it there were that option!!

On tap has removed the B1 floor where the pool and darts games were, its too bad because we were coming for that.The cocktails are not worth the price at all, taste the same as in nightclub with unlimited drinks.The panini was ok however the tacos had more salad than anything else.Very disappointed of what it has become.

Good place to hang out and chill. I really like that each day has a different special. Customer service was a bit too slow. Don’t know if that was due to being seated outside. Overall, I enjoyed my time there.

Good British style bar, pool and darts downstairs. Food is average but that is not why you go there, plenty of other culinary options locally. The staff seem like they are having a hard time a lot of the time but that doesnt stop them from being helpful and keen. I cant fault the place but its just shy of 5/5. I have good memories and I would go back. A really good spot。

It’s a great bar, but there is one waitress who obviously hates her job and does not know how to treat the customers. I was very polite and asking for ordering or a simply thing like an additional glass. She always behaved in the most unfriendly way without any obvious reason.It’s really a pity, because I’m general I really enjoy going to ON TAP and I always brought new friends, but after last Friday’s experience I really feel like it’s maybe time to look for alternatives.4 stars for the bar2 stars for the service experience

Great staff. Everyone is pretty friendly, Our waitress Amanda took time to explain the different types of alcohol. Which was great, helping me get the perfect cocktail. The pool table downstairs is a nice set up and they also have a darts area. However, I visited on a weekday which allowed the servers to help all the tables better. This place can get really busy on weekends but the wait is definitely worth it.

Good for grabbing a couple of drinks. The outdoor area is pretty good and not too loud, but there are smokers. You can only sit there until 10pm though. Staff wasnt especially welcoming. The nachos were fine.

Great stop in Taipei. Decent food and great drink specials. A regular stop for locals and foreigners that call Taipei home. Look on their social media about the daily food specials. I was there on a Thursday with my daughter. The wings were cheap, but decent! Ill be back and I recommend this place!

This place got that Irish bar kinda vibe. I was surprised that they offered more than just your typical Mexican/American bar food. They actually had beef stew and Satay chicken rice. Plenty selection of alcohol here and it’s always packed. Definitely a western bar worth checking out in Taipei.

Happy hour is pretty awesome and the most special shot Ive ever tried here is the chilly shot and its crazy!! Its recommend to come to enjoy the British bar!

Nice bar with some western touch to environment.Specially good for beer, cheap bear before 8 PM and they have some best offers on each day of week.(Except weekends)Food was OK OK, not that much fine, but we can accept this type of food in bar.They have POOL table as well for fun.things I dont like is1. The seating arrangement is too small for group of people, if you are 2-3 then that fine, but if you are more than 5 people then you may need to adjust while seating.2. smoking is not allowed after 10, they have smoking area inside after 10, but that exhaust. Should have some open air area for smoke.

Great selection of beers and an atmosphere like a true pub. The staff is very friendly and English-speaking. Side note, the food as a whole is pretty good but this restaurant has some of the best fries I had ever tasted, and thats coming from someone who comes from a country that prides itself on the quality of its fries. Usually very crowded.

Great bar at great prices with a casual vibe. There are darts, a pool table, and jenga (and supersize jengamostly in the basement for your enjoyment.Theyve also got some pretty nice deals going on every day of the week (Thursdays for wings night ), food is your typical pub fare. Theyve got a variety of alcohol (what you usually find in a dive bar), and the extremely thirsty can order 3 litre towers of beer or try the train track challenge.

Good pub, lots of American / European favorites in both alcohol and food choices. Lots of TVs and games on both floors. Food was ok, the burger Patty was definitely frozen, which for the price, should have been fresh, but overall, a nice slice of the states.

Chicken quesadilla (picturedwas awful. The wings on wing night are a great price, but again: awful. We asked for more sour cream because what they had given us (picturedwas pitiful, but they said there would be a charge. Whenever I go it seems that certain customers get really good service; whereas our table is usually met with the sort of disdain I reserve for the sand you keep finding in your shoes for days after you return from the beach. Id recommend going to Malibu West instead for a similar (but bettervibe.To its merit however, this place has been around for a long time and I think management puts in some effort. They show a lot of sports and have some good happy hour specials.

Very cool pub in the heart of Taipei. Bit pricey so make sure to be there for happy hour. Would have given 5 stars but wait for waitress was pretty long.
