Pho-focused eatery from Food Network star Guy Fieri offers a host of Asian specialties.
Excellent food and service. Fried rice and noodles were great.
Loved this place! Everything was so good including the service. When I visit San Diego again I’m coming back for sure.
You can’t go wrong with OB Noodle House 1502! I don’t think you can find any other place that has great pho and wings in SD! And not to mention a bar with skrewball whiskey! Highly recommend!
Theres two on noodle houses the original and this one. This is definitely more of a bar feel, we ate outside because the music was just to loud which is why I knocked a star off. The food though was very good and flavorful. We wanted to check out this other part of ob so we decided to eat here. Perhaps for a bit quieter atmosphere Id try the original ob noodle house. Also both spots are very dog friendly with the outdoor dining we saw plenty of people with their pups.
This is a must go to place when in Ocean Beach!! The food is sooo good and fresh, the service is always great and it has a very fun atmosphere! You must order the chicken wings! Once you try them, you will understand❤️
First stop on a recent visit to San Diego. Met a friend here as she mentioned it was one of her favorite neighborhood spots. Started with spicy garlic wings and they were excellent. Had chicken and veg crispy noodles and they were delicious. Great list of craft beers and we enjoyed the melon sake as well.
Food was great and drinks. Service was great and very nice. Clean area and music was great.
Wow. The food was served piping hot. Im talking all of it. Service was even better than the food. Which was amazing. Drinks were fairly priced.
Great staff and atmosphere. Also have to say whoever has been in charge of music those past nights Ive eaten there has great taste in music. I think Peanut Butter Skrewballs are a ritual every time i go there too. Its a must.
This place is DELICIOUS. The scenery is gorgeous, the ribs are absolutely delectable. If you dont like loud music when eating - try to sit away from the bar (or outside). We will be back!
Nice location within walking distance of the Ocean Beach Pier. Down to earth staff with pretty quick service. Water pitchers and drinking cups were a bit dingy looking but it does fit their overall grungy type theme. The Pho is decent but not nearly as good as in Las Vegas. The siracha added some heat and extra flavor. The wings were good but only come plain. The outside seating was the best part. The lighting in the individual bathrooms are really really dim.We went because a local uber driver recommended their pho and wings. But if youve had it elsewhere you probably arent missing much. But still a nice place to sit and enjoy a quiet lunch outside in the breeze.
OB Noodle House was such a vibe. I hade the Brisket and Well Done Steak Pho, as well as the Saffron Chicken Fried Rice. Everything tasted light and fresh. We ate outside and just the breeze and atmosphere was dope. The Pho was good, Ive had better but it was still very good and the rice was up there with one of the best Ive had. Definitely a must try.
My wife and I flew in from Denver and when we are in town we dine at the Cable Street location. This time we ordered sizzling fish and chicken wings to go from this location and when we arrived home with our food we were disappointed with the chicken wings being over cooked and dry along with the sizzling fish being undercooked and raw. We did call the restaurant and they offered to remake our order. I asked if they would reverse the charges on my card which they agreed to. We then proceeded to order it from the OB Noodle House location on cable street. As always the food is outstanding. CheersUPDATEWe reordered our food from the OB Noodle House on cable Street in OB and what a difference. I will enclose a few pictures of what the sizzling fish was supposed to look like. Cheers
Great food and a great time at OB Noodle house. Thank you to Zach for taking great care of us and giving us the skrewball story! Great shots by the way! Thanks Zach for the great service!
$$$$!. Better take out than dining in.I’ve lived in SE Asia for years and also in cities like LA and NYC where you can find the best renderings of world cuisines. OB Noodle House offers clean, tasty, no frills Asian-fusion food. If you live in the area it is a good option for a hearty meal. The problem is the environment that the food is served. Music is always very loud, lighting is weird, it is always very crowded and there is sense of rush which doesn’t allow you to enjoy your food fully, nor the conversation with your company. Personally, I don’t like to be rushed or pressured to finish my meal that quickly. I would appreciate it and go back there more often if the establishment and its staff is more mindful of customers’ dining experience than just serving them food in a fast paced and rather ‘flavorless’ manner. Very expensive as well.
Food is mediocre. We tried some noodles, the Ribs and fried rice. The bathroom is disgusting and the music is so loud you have to scream to talk to someone right next to you. This place is way overhyped. I wouldn’t recommend it or go back.
Mediocre food. We ordered to go (if that made a differencebut still spent nearly $70 on three basic entrees and an appetizer. Based on the reviews, I was expecting something really tasty. But I feel like the food could have easily been from a generic Chinese buffet - taste and texture were similar. Best part was the pho broth. Worst was the crunchy noodle dish... It was like a gravy! My recommendation is to skip this place unless youre going for the bar/atmosphere.
Great service and delicious drinks! If you have a big or small dog, they’re welcome inside or outside, no matter how loud the music!
I love the Noodle House and have supported them since they opened their 1st place years ago, plus I live on the same block as 1502. Their food is always so yummy. But I remember now why I only get take out from them-THEY PLAY THE MUSIC WAAAAAAAY TO FREAKING LOUD!!! Its like a freaking Nite Club in there where ever u sit inside or out. U cant even enjoy ur meal & have a conversation w ur table mates w/o literally Yelling everything. I was told by the waitress, when I asked her about it, that they do Not care how many constant complaints or bad reviews they get about it they will Not turn it down bc its their "vibe"🙄. I seriously feel bad for their employees ear health. And am sad that theyre losing dine in business, & thus more tips for there employees & prob drink sales too, bc they just dont care for some reason. I dont see why they cant just compromise & maybe play it loud at certain hours like later in the evenings instead maybe. Will still get their delicious take out-but sadly I will NEVER dine-in there again!
Delicious. Do yourself a favor and get the spicy garlic wings. They are always outstanding. The pho and dumplings were great too.
Went in for dinner to catch up with a friend. The pho is always the best and their drinks are amazing. Beer and Cocktail menus are enormous. 10/10 would recommend
Good is just as good as at the original, but this place is huge!! The tofu lettuce wraps were really good! The dry chicken chow fun needs more broccoli, but it was still delicious. Great service! Lots of outside seating!
Had a handful of gluten free dinner options. Waiter was friendly and helpful. He even made sure my margarita was made gluten free. Fun environment. Would recommend.
Great fun ambiance and really good food. Service took a little bit because it was busy but we didn’t mind. I loved the dumplings and the house special pho. The meat was super tender and delicious.
Came here for lunch I must say I was really impressed with the pho very delicious I definitely recommend family and friends coming here for date lunch and nights plus walk the pier afterwards.
Place is modern and the food and drinks are on point, its near the beach which is major plus but impacts parking. They are pretty busy all day, but its worth it, the pho is phenomenal!!!
Everytime I go here its such a vibe, to a point where I almost never want to leave. Everything on the menu is amazing especially the house special fried rice and spicy garlic wings. The service is super chill, people are great. Lengthy beer menu and the decor is immaculate.
Great ambiance and we had the coolest waiter. Dominique is a great asset to the house of noodles. We enjoyed the fried noodles and the tripe pho. Definitely will be back
Great location and great food! Stopped with some friends for lunch and we were not disappointed!
A solid spot for tasty noodles, pho, and tofu wraps. They also have an extensive beer list, including kombucha and unusual beers like a “banana bread” brew. Their shrimp is just ok. The pho is pretty good, but is obviously not as great as a traditional Vietnamese restaurant. The tofu wraps are really great! It’s only a block from the OB pier and the beach, and it’s a nice spot for a quick lunch or dinner.
Do you noodle? Noodle house has been an OB staple for years and bar 1502 adds an ocean breeze and view while you dine. Tofu or chicken lettuce wraps and wings are our favorite appetizers, and Hong Kong chow fun, crispy egg noodles and the fried rice are all delicious options. The chefs main selections and pho have also never steered me wrong!
Came here for lunch and had a good meal. Sadly the prices have been raised alot since last time we were here but the quality of food is still great 👍🏽 a must try - garlic chicken wings, pho and fried rice is really good too. Also theres a nice list of craft cocktails and a wide variety of beer. Overall recommend this place and will be coming back
Stopped for an appetizer (spicy garlic wingsand some drinks... cool environment and staff is friendly.- quality: superb- spicy: not so much
Food and service was delicious I enjoyed everything from French toast to the eggs probably made everything with me to my satisfaction that’s a mention the waitress was great too.
Pretty good food, exactly as advertised! Tasted fresh and well seasoned, service was fast and music and atmosphere rocky chill style!
Excellent viewing, spacing amidst the pandemic.Very friendly staff and great music selection along with plenty of sports screens playing. Highly recommend this spot, especially if you like a variety of exotic whiskys and mixed drinks. I will definitely be back.
Lively and popular Asian fusion type restaurant in OB. My party of 4 came on a Friday night at around 7 and had to wait 45 minutes for a table. Great drink menu (cocktails and a large selection of quality beers), yummy food and friendly staff. Both indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor is heated and allows dogs.
First time here, tried the house special fried rice and spicy garlic chicken wings. Always heard good things about this place so finally tried it. Next time Ill try their pho.Overall a great experience, food came quickly, TVs all around with the NFL playoffs going. Would have been a 30 minute wait time but we were able join the wait list on Google maps to make it only 5 mins. Highly recommend it!
Always a great time when I visit this location. Been coming here for years. I enjoy dining at the other location too. Found this place because of Diners Drive In and Dives. The house fried rice with lup chong is delicious. I also enjoy the crispy noodles and Kalbi Ribs. Definitely a great place to dine at and although the initial service when youre seated is slow, the food comes out quick.
Great restaurant. Lots of variety, amazing pho, I tried something new today, the sizzling fish is really good and the seasoning in very addicting, and the Hong Kong chow fun has a very nice sauce and is full of flavour! Definitely check it out. If you love pho I definitely recommend getting that.
My favorite restaurant in OB! The pho is legit and Ive been to Vietnam. Infamous spicy garlic wings are a must, along with melon sake and peanut butter Jameson shots. The sizzling fish is really good too. You really cant go wrong with the whole menu. I bring everyone from out of town here.
Saw this on diners drive ins and dives and wanted to check it out. We were not disappointed. The wings were amazing the house fried rice was delish and the flash fried basa was wonderful. Great selection of craft beers and great service.I had read some reviews that were not so good but Im glad we didnt let those change our minds. Everything was so fresh. We will definitely go back.
Great food but HUGE portion sizes! I ordered the Hong Kong Chicken Chow Fun and hubby ordered the beef. We both took over half home! Not greasy at all. I left feeling full but not stuffed. We ordered 2 drinks, both chow funs, a house fried rice to go, and an appetizer and only paid $80 tip and tax included 😊 the picture was taken after I started eating
This place is awesome! Saw it on DDD and decided to try it while visiting. No waiting for lunch on a Friday. Drinks were great. Lots of craft beer selections. Full bar to with unique house drinks. Wifey had a green margarita type drink called the Tijuana Green Machine which she loved, I had the Alesmith 394. We started with some Crispy Vietnamese Egg Rolls...great with a wonderful dipping sauce. Then came the show stopper...the House Special Fried Rice is the BOMB!! Filled with Vietnamese Sausage, Beef, Shrimp, and veggies it is flavor packed and so very delicious. Their signature sauce is on the tables to add even more flavor. The place is decorated perfectly, and the staff is welcoming and very helpful. We Ubered into town and walked around OB so I do not know about parking. Watching people fighting for parking around town, I would recommend you Uber in and walk to see everything and enjoy instead of trying to find a spot. Enjoy this place
Based on the reviews I read I agree, this is a bar that serves food. Its loud, theres a lot of comotion, and this beautiful tree in the middle of it all. I observed the bartenders enjoying themselves to the music that was being played. I really liked the shirts that the staff were wearing and picked up one for myself while I was here. As for food, I enjoyed their wings, fish, and Korean BBQ ribs. I dont think this would be a great first date kind of place but it would be cool for a second or third date.
My top place to visit in OB. (Both locations are great. This one happens to be next to my Favorite shop. Spring Rolls with peanut sauce are extra large, fresh and tasty! They go perfectly with a few Peanut Butter Jameson shots. If you have a well behaved pup, bring them along. Great pup viewing. 👉🐶🖒❤
Got the OB extra large pho with brisket and was able to split it with another person. It has so much food we both werent able to finish it and still got full. Very friendly service. Has a nice outside vibe to it.
By far some of the best phó Ive had and at such a great price. The wings & house rice are just as flavorful. The drink/beer list has lots of options with some great stuff thats hard to come by. Plus the environment and ambiance is a lot of fun. You can tell employees enjoy being there as they dance to the loud music and laugh. Everyones as been very attentive and even on some of their busiest nights we havent had to wait too long for a table.Definitely a place I keep coming back to when in the area.
We ordered more and more food while we were there and everything can out crazy fast and fresh. Whatever they have going on in that kitchen needs to be duplicated throughout the country, but most importantly brought to South Florida. The staff was chipper and the food was amazaballs. Be prepared to wait, its worth it.
The food was meh. The environment was awesome. Their decor and theme is pretty cool. Sitting outside on a nice day is ideal. Their pho wasnt anything special. The skillet fish was extremely salty as well. Their beer selection is massive with reasonable pricing as well.Staff: Friendly but constantly running offEnvironment: CleanSeating: Plenty of seating but it gets really packed sometimes
