O Poisson Rouge in Annecy

Great food, good service and a fantastic vista

NEVER GO to THIS PLACE.. I have been going to restaurants for many years. This is the first time I had an experience which is horrible and should be condemned. If the owner of the restaurant still allow the waiter to work at this place then we should all boycott this place. Waiter name is Givonni and he has been extremely rude to all guests and on top of that to foreigners too. No tourist or local should go to this place if this person still stays at job. He humiliated people by his non hospitable approach, refuses to explain things in English and says he can only do it in Spanish or French. That is still fine after that he never refill’s the wine, never returns if one needs anything else, passes by and bluntly refuses to revert on a call. It’s so sad to see this place empty at dinner time. No wonder this place is going down hill when world is coming back to business. Horrible service and horrible food. I was at the same place two months ago and ladies there made our evening such a pleasant memory with our international guests.. this time it was so sad and sorry state of affairs.. will never go to this place and will make sure no one goes there too..Je vais au restaurant depuis de nombreuses années. Cest la première fois que jai une expérience qui est horrible et qui doit être condamnée. Si le propriétaire du restaurant autorise toujours le serveur à travailler à cet endroit, nous devrions tous boycotter cet endroit. Le nom du serveur est Givonni et il a été extrêmement impoli avec tous les invités et en plus avec les étrangers. Aucun touriste ou local ne devrait se rendre à cet endroit si cette personne reste toujours au travail. Il a humilié les gens par son approche non hospitalière, refuse dexpliquer les choses en anglais et dit quil ne peut le faire quen espagnol ou en français. Cest toujours bien après quil ne remplisse jamais le vin, ne revienne jamais si lon a besoin dautre chose, passe et refuse carrément de revenir sur un appel. Cest tellement triste de voir cet endroit vide à lheure du dîner. Pas étonnant que cet endroit descende quand le monde revient aux affaires. Service horrible et nourriture horrible. Jétais au même endroit il y a deux mois et les dames là-bas ont fait de notre soirée un souvenir si agréable avec nos invités internationaux.. cette fois, cétait une situation si triste et désolée. y va aussi..

Très bel endroit au bord du lac.Service ultra rapide .Nous avons pris filets de perche et petite friture ( 31epuis glace williamine et profiteroles (11e ).Tout était délicieux.Je recommande sans hésiter.

Beautiful garden and wonderful staff and food. Great steak, razor clams and wines. Couldn’t recommend more highly. Off the beaten track and beautiful lake views

Cadre agréable même si la vue directe sur le lac n’est que pour 4 tables sur les 20.Le personnel reste sympa.Les prix en revanche…26€ pour des petits poissons frits (littéralement jetés dans l’huile avec une mini panure)La perche à 31€ (la spécialités alors même que ce sont des perches pêchées dans l’Europe de l’Est donc probablement congeléesavec des frites congelées et une salade fatiguée accompagnée d’un verre d’Apremont a 7,5€ (certainement proche du prix de la bouteille).Si c’est le prix pour la vue sur le Lac, autant improviser un pic-nic sur le lac avec des produits régionaux de qualité.

Great view great food highly recommended

Lieu magique avec terrasse ombragée sur le lac! Nous avons eu une table sur la première rangée directement au bord du lac, très agréable. Accueil et service attentionné et souriant. Carte de tapas originale pour lapéro. Petit bémol pour les filets de perche, trop cuit et qualité pas top ! Dommage, le serveur aurait nous guider sur un choix du poisson du lac qui lui était très bien... Filet de boeuf de qualité et juste bien cuit. Bref, une bonne adresse pour une soirée entre amis mais privilégiez les poissons frais du lac !

This was one of the most overpriced and disappointing meals I have ever had. I dont usually write reviews but this was so disappointing that I feel I need to share our experience.The waiter was unfriendly and unhelpful in explaining the menu although our two other female waiting staff were friendly if forgetful, one having to come back and ask the same question three times. The service was initially slow though staff were plentiful and we sat for 10mins before anyone approached our table. The fish of the day was apparently unavailable and we paid €80 to share a small piece of sea fish with some rice on the side and a few pieces of lettuce. It was not on the menu and we foolishly didnt ask the price of this piece of fish before ordering it to share but I would have thought twice about paying €20 for this dish, let alone €40 p/p. In researching fish restaurants in Annecy most mains were min. €30 but I would have expected a very different standard of dish, service and experience for this price.Additionally the chairs were odd because the arm rests are too tall to fit under the table so you cant sit back comfortably and also eat at the same time - it is one or the other so we perched on the edge of our seats throughout the meal. The setting is nice and it was already very busy at 12:30 so is presumably well regarded. However from our experience I would not recommend this place and I would spend your well-earned holiday money elsewhere on Lake Annecy.

Le cadre est magnifique !!Nous sommes arrivés malheureusement avec presque 1h00 de retard malgré cela nous avons été très bien reçu, service rapide malgré une terrasse pleine ,les serveurs(etrès souriant et accueillant..Un service impeccable...Bravo à vous

Cadre exceptionnel, avec une vue fabuleuse sur le lac et à proximité des plages.Stationnement facilité par un parking dédié.Les prix sont assez élevés mais restent corrects pour le bord du lac.Je recommande le menu du midi.Le personnel est plutôt sympa, même si nous avons déjà été refusés en nous présentant à 14h03 (fin du service 14h)...Il faut donc être très ponctuel !Établissement qui malgré cela vaut le détour.

Such a great experience.. Amazing food. Even better service!! Staff is so friendly and helpful. Brought water for our dog and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. What a great night we had. Must try items are mussels and grilled lobster.

Un régal de lentrée au dessert ! Le mojito est excellent. Les rares choses que je nai pas aimés étaient par goût personnel. Tout était parfaitement cuisiné et présenté. Un service et un personnel irréprochable, très accueillants. Une vue magnifique sur le lac. Le prix en vaut largement le coup.

Accueil sympatique, nous avons été placées à une table, avec vue panoramique sur le lac, une merveille. Les entrées comme les plats étaient délicieux et copieux. Nous nous sommes régalées les yeux et le ventre. À refaire très vite.

Magnifiquement situé, ce restaurant propose une terrasse toute proche du lac, laccueil est irréprochable, nous avons été accueilli alors que le service allait se terminer et tout cela avec le sourir.Nous avons pris la salade de chèvre chaud, très bonne et copieuse.Très recommandable comme établissement.

Bonjour 👋 super restaurant au bord du port de Pornic avec un super soleil. ⛵️La nourriture est excellente 🍖Le personnel est très agréable et aimable.Je vous le recommande vivement. 😃😃

Ottimo cibo e bellissima posizione.Il personale è gentile e professionale i vini sono buoni e hanno anche una scelta di liquori fatti da loro.C’è una zona bar molto carina dov’è gustare aperitivi e ci sono divanetti a bordo lago dove bere o mangiare.Il menu è molto vario e tutto molto buono.La sera i tavoli sono sotto una zona alberata piena di lucine quindi l’atmosfera è molto piacevole.

Passage au restaurant pour un repas dentreprise.Cadre très sympathique au bord du lac avec une salle pour manger en intérieur et une grande terrasse.Les crustacés sont de bonnes qualités.Le restaurant dispose dun grand parking pour stationner son véhicule.

Nice terrace, ok location, overpriced for the quality of food. You can find much better around the area. I had a grilled sea bass, it was overcooked and dry. It came with a salad and a very boring white rice. Thats was it for 37eur.

All in all overpriced for the quality of food. Cervieche was good, the rest only okay. Nice location, and friendly staff. Toilets need a redone...

Terrific

Amazing setting if they will allow you to sit near the lake and nice enough staff but the manager was rude and aggressive. Cocktail average for the price tag. Will take my family and visitors elsewhere next time.

Linda stole the show! She absolutely made my experience. Such an amazing place to go with friends, as a couple or as a group.

Horrible service ! We came around 7pm . They told us there is no table available for two . They proposed to seat us at the bar in the meantime. 30 minutes later , the server asked us if we needed anything else and we told her we are waiting for a table . She was like "I have a table ". I guess they forgot about us . They sat us at a table vert far from the lac while tables were available with lake view. My husband asked them if we could move to the table by the lake , the lady responded so rudely saying that she cant move us without any explanation or apology. my husband asked us to leave so we did.

I’m vegetarian, I took salad with amazing cheese! The rest of the food was great too!The view is amazing...the service was very good.

try the couet..razor clams on the plancha and aperol spritzer, watch the lake wash by!

5 star location! Food was great. Though a bit pricey. Paying more for the view.

Best food and the view in hundreds kilometrs

We had made a reservation but it seemed to go astray and there was no record at the front desk. Fortunately there was room for us. Food was good.

Amazing view. Incredible food. Not much in the way of vegan support or options so it lost one star for me otherwise if you eat meat, its an easy 5 star. Pleasant and efficient service people. The view is seriously to die for.

Great view, nice service but expensive!

The setting, on the bank of Lake Annecy, is 5 star without question. Unfortunately we were given one of the more out-of-the-way tables. I assumed this was due to the lakeside positions being previously booked however this proved not to be the case with a couple of prime spots remaining empty all evening. Did our faces not fit? Is it cos I is English? Who knows? Still, a lovely spot. The food was OK but not great and at this price, rather below par imho (We ate far better and got impeccable service for 25% less the following night in the centre of Chamonix). Then there was the somewhat disturbed stomach the following day: always a risk with seafood heavy menus but still a bit disappointing.

Unpleasant experience with very rude Owner. Accusing us of being different people and not ordering enough from the menu. It was Mothers day and we popped in for nibbles and drinks and were offered a table. Once we ordered the manager stormed over asking who has booked the table, we explained that we had not booked but had been seated there by the waitress. The people who booked hadnt turned up but it wasnt until the waitress told the manager what had happened that he stopped accusing us of being someone else, questioning our name and telling us if we ever wanted to book again he wouldnt let us. The waitress apologised and said the owner would make an adjustment to the bill. Whilst he did offer an apology when i paid the bill he did nothing to the amount of the bill. It was Mothers day for us aswell and unfortunately this really soured our day. 3rd visit there and service not been great, but this time terrible as they forgot my drink after having already had an angry attack at us... think that was the last visit!
