O'Caine's Irish Pub - Restaurant in Rancho Mirage, United States
The lamb Shepard’s pie was heavenly! Leek soup was good as well! Too bad their Diet Coke was not available.
Love the pub great food, totally not ready for the World Cup.Game on at 11am they open at 11am staff looked liked they had just walked in. Could not get the volume on the TVs, so we listened to Irish music whilst the game was on. Please get it together, more games to come and for God Sake turn the volume up we actually like to listen to the commenters. Will be back.
Fish and chips! Irish band is AWESOME!!!Clean, happy, fun place!!! Amazing!!!!
Actually I was surprised that it was a calm comfortable place. You can have a nice meal and conversation. Very good staff.
Awesome. Great food and ambiance. As fine an Irish pub as you could hope to find on this side of the Atlantic.
Food is great! Drinks are refreshing, service is outstanding and ambiance is amazing. I had a pleasure of coming here where a live band was playing and our server was fantastic ! If you’re looking for a place to get some good food and great drinks stop by here
Great place to hang out, have a few beers, and listen to live music after 6pm
Best dining experience weve had in a while. Authentic and generous portions. Had the shepherds pie and the fish and chips. Our servers, Amber and her trainer (I think Amelia), were fantastic. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the experience. We will definitely share our positive experience with friends.
pretty good neighborhood ish place ... decent eats from an amusing menu and an off the chart bar.
One of my favorite restaurants in Palm springs area! 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly servers. What more could we ask for?I have to praise our server Amber! She was friendly, professional, enthusiastic, and fun! 💯My husband and son ordered the Irish nachos ☘️ with corned beef on top... It was absolutely huge and they both finished all of it! LOLI ordered the bangers and mash and it was delicious. It was also a huge portion that Im looking forward to finishing tomorrow for a leftover lunch. We ordered sticky toffee and a chocolate Guinness mousse for dessert. Yum yum and yum!😋The icing on the cake had to be the amazing live music. 🎶 I am not usually a fan of live music while having dinner but I have to say that this live music was wonderful. It wasnt too loud... And augmented the Irish pub 🍻 atmosphere so well. He was such a talented musician... a joy to listen to.If you are in Rancho Mirage... Dont miss this wonderful spot.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Good food, good service and very clean. Will definitely be returning.
Last minute group dinner and they did us so right. Amie (hope I spelled it correctlyour server was just amazing! She got all my visual requests as well as always knew what we all needed. If she was not working she would have been a friend of us all. The food was just as good as our server and provided just the excellent amount of garlic (really into garlic right now). Without meeting the staff, I would vote to say they all did their jobs correctly. Definitely will go back, ask for Amie to spoil me again. Thanks!
Food is amazing! Kitchen super clean!I promise you, you will love it. 😻
Delicious food, great beer, and nicest staff. Oh, and bathroom is very clean. Will want to come back for sure.
We have been here several times! Always perfection everytime!everything!! Fish n chips , rubber, chicken sandwich are all spectacular!! Huge selection of beers!! Staff will help you find your perfect beer match!! Go, and enjoy!!
Love this place. They’re open late on weekends which is pretty rare for Rancho Mirage. Food is delicious and with generous portions. The service is excellent, accommodating (I brought my dog once and the patio is pet friendly and they even brought him a bowl of waterand always with a smile. My Aviation cocktail was excellent. Bonus is the live entertainment and the night I went, The California Celts were rippin’ it up with Irish tunes, ska, and some really funky covers. Highly recommended.
Closed during posted hours. No note for a reason why. ******Update; please accept my apologies for my review sounding snarky. We were tired, my husband was starving after a small surgery and we were excited to try this place. It would have been a late lunch and as you can imagine, we were disappointed to find the doors locked and no reason given. I hope nothing horrible happened to your loved ones. Best wishes.
An excellent Irish pub!! Food is excellent!! Make sure to catch the live music. Had the bangers and mash which was delicious! A great assortment of beers and Irish whiskies. Specialty cocktails are worth a look!
Thank you Keri for your excellent service. We really enjoyed the cuisine. A true gem for the community. Thank you all at OCaines for making our day so special.
We love coming here for lunch! The food is really good and the bartender, Jeff, makes an AMAZING old fashioned! Food is always great, large portions, beautiful presentation, and tasty!
We came for the Guinness but stayed for the happy hour. Twice.Service is top notch, the fish and chips were cooked well but not seasoned. Throwing some salt on helped, but I should have asked for some malt vinegar to enhance. My husbands burger made him smile enough to return a second time. He is one of the "if it aint broke why fix it?" People. He was equally satisfied second time around as I was.Great traditional Irish music in the background caused me to do some toe-tapping the entire times we were there.Craick
The scotch egg, bangers and mash, and fish & chips were all quite good! The live entertainment was an added boon to the evening! Well definitely be back! :)
Ill first begin by saying that this establishment is super clean and the aesthetic is lovely. The service is amazing. Our server, Lady, was super helpful and patient in recommending items and answering every question we had. She was even kind enough to bring me a glass of club soda when the Aviation Cocktain was too strong for me. We started of with the Rings of Fire and they were definitely onion rings like Ive never had before. At first I didnt think I would enjoy them but they were very delicious and savory. The portions are very big, I would even say that one can order one entree and share it with someone else. The real pot of gold here was the "Chief Cooeys Sticky Toffee Pudding, it is so delicious, flavorful, and moist. The ice cream that it comes with compliments the pudding perfectly.
Had the most amazing fish and chips and a delicious beer. They’re tartar sauce oh my goodness by far probably the best tartar sauce I’ve ever had. The coleslaw, I repeat the COLESLAW was so good! I usually hate slaw and devoured this one! My bartender Jeff was kind and attentive. I will definitely be going back. They ALSO have live music Thursday through Saturday so I recommend checking it out. Oh and not to mention it’s really cool in there the Decour is on point.Good job guys!
I just love the ambiance of this pub, and the great wait staff, but boy this place is so expensive. I can get the same meal at Shermans deli for half the price.
Great food, great music, wonderful atmosphere. We will be going back to have more enjoyable experiences.
Food was good. Atmosphere was wonderfulGreat Irishman performing. Crowd was rowdy but having much fun.
Every day is a good day to be Irish. And if youre not...well, make believe! And this is a good place to do that. The food is not your standard pub fair, but is very Irish...I mean good! : Service is great, and the patio is wonderful. Just dont expect separate checks if you have a large group. Bummer.
Very Irish! Great food, live music (we were there on a Sunday @ 6pm), the bar itself is worth the trip in, of course Irish 🍺 on tap. Well be heading there again soon!
Went here for lunch a while back. Enjoyed traditional Fish n Chips. Was very good. Place was pretty busy but service was excellent and I didnt feel I had to wait for anything. Prices are a little high but not extreme. The place looks like a traditional Irish pub inside. I plan to return some night when they offer music. Enjoyed the visit.
This Irish pub is kind of a locals spot. Absolutely fine chow. Everything weve ordered has beed very tasty, cooked perfectly. St. Patricks Day was a lot of fun. We travel about once a month to eat here. Lastly you wont fine a cleaner operation.
A mixed experience. If you have ever been to a real Irish pub, prepare to only get a drink. The atmosphere is lovely. The beer selection great. The live music was interesting, not Irish music. The food on the other hand is not good. We first sampled scotch egg, shepherds pie. The scotch egg was not cooked properly and tasted like old fishy oil. The shepherds pie was…well a mess. My favorite dish was the salmon salad, the top that is. The bottom was full of romaine stems. The best item was grilled cheese. Pretty sad. Lunch for 3 with 2 pints each put us at $200. Not exactly “pub” fare and definitely not Irish. Kind of a sad take on it. If they replaced the chef and frying oil, definitely has potential.
Totally Awesome dont dont miss this outstanding Restaurant, Sports Bar, over the top!! Super clean, great staff, great service, great food. Great selection of Beers and of course full liquor bar.The management and crew know how to take care of you!!!!
I ordered a Guinness during happy hour that was advertised at $7 which was $2 off the regular price for a 20 oz. pour. I was served a pint instead and I asked why I did not receive the 20 oz. size. The server went to ask and returned with the answer that it was because it was happy hour. This is a classic bait and switch. It was like being penalized for ordering a Guinness. I expressed these thoughts to the server and she said she would bring it up to the owner and displayed empathy for my point of view. It may seem trivial over 4 ozs. of beer, but that is not the point. It is a principle issue, the owner should be embarrassed for running a scam like this in her restaurant. Thank you Martha for making me never want to return to your establishment over a Guinness. I despise being duped and cannot understand why you would run your business this way. I also do not understand why nothing was done to resolve this last night since you were there. I hope you enjoyed your glass of white wine. Your bar is decorated in a classic Irish style and is inviting upon entering. Your policies should reflect the detail you put into the overall design of your establishment.
Aimee is a great waitress. She handled our large group like a PRO. Exceptional food. Onion rings, hot dog, and sausage roll is fire 🔥
After hearing people talking about OCaines we looked at reviews and decided to give it a try.We found the ambiance to be amazing, the service was great, booth was very comfortable and a lot of good energy inside. The food was good; different flavors but overall given the price of a small meal for two people (no alcoholwe didnt feel like it was really worth the cost of the entire meal.Again, I say we enjoyed the experience overall, we were glad we tried it but our experaince just didnt seem to be inline with other reviews about the food. We do leave OCaines Irish Pub as a go-to given the right circumstances and likely to be a place we may suggest to out of town guests looking for this sort of dining option.
Such a cute bar and gift shop, but, the food was sub-par at best. We went with another couple and we all were disappointed in the food. The guys got the lamb shephard pie, both thought the meat tasted terrible. The other two ladies ordered salads; one was the salmon salad and the other was the wedge salad, both, very strange flavor, neither of us would order again. Too bad.
Id give this restaurant a 4 except the food prices are too high for the value...fish (3 ounces cod not halibutand chips are $20.Positive is they serve black and tan beer. But the mask mandate is ignored here. There is even a sign on the door that we didnt notice entering that says masks are optional. Only half the staff wears one.
It’s such a random place for an Irish Pub but it’s worth going out of your way. They have the best Fish ‘n Chips in the desert. It’s a casual dining experience but it is a little pricey but it seems to be the way the world is post pandemic.Warning though, they have live music in the evening most days of the week that can get pretty loud. We were trying watch a football game which was somewhat annoying but we get it, it’s an Irish Pub!
Went to O’Caine’s for the first time for lunch with a good friend. What a great experience. As soon as you walk in you are immersed into the full Irish bar atmosphere with the long wooden, well-stocked Irish bar. There is a large selection of items on the menu to choose from, a menu that should be able to please just about everybody. I tried the fish and chips, and it was outstanding one of the best I’ve ever had. The portion is plentiful and it comes piping hot with all the side items you need. Service is excellent and very friendly. Put this one on your bucket list of restaurants to try, you will not be disappointed.
The only mistake we made was not making a reservation, but we still have an exceptional time. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. The bartender was on his game, mixing drinks to perfection. We met a local who said that everything on the menu was good.We then got a table and ordered. The food came out very fast and was amazing. The Irish Cheese Stake Sandwich had a perfectly tender slab of corned beef. The staff kept constantly checking up and making sure we were good. A nice touch was the craft of ice water the waitress left at the table. It was recommended that we check out the restrooms..... they were very elegant spacious and private.Overall they created an amazing environment and have a staff ( hostess, bartender, chef, serverthat all work together to serve their customers.Oh..... and they have live music on select nights from amazing talent.
1st Impressions are always important and let me tell you It’s super cool inside and out. The food omg 😱 so so good. If u plan correctly u maybe able to get some free Live Entertainment from “ShipWright Shaun & the Leprechaun” ☘️ Fun stuff ! There was 5 of us and we each ordered different things and everything was delicious ! And the service was also good ! And don’t worry all Safety Precautions are being done to keep you safe and sound while you are there eating good food and listening to some good tunes !
Had the opportunity to visit OCanes Irish Pub on more than one occasion, its truly a remarkable new restaurants here in the Coachella Valley.
An absolute gem of an Irish pub in a rather nondescript strip mall in Rancho Mirage. One of the largest selections of Irish whiskies Ive ever encountered, and all reasonably priced. Great Guinness by the pint. You could spend an hour looking at the vintage wall-hangings from across Ireland (for the purists, however, be aware that its roots are Northern Ireland, not the ROI). A Midleton Very Rare and a pint of Guinness while watching college football on a Saturday afteroon? Good craich! Exceedingly dog-friendly, too, with an excellent, helpful and attentive staff. If I lived in the area Id be a regular for sure.
Such a fun place! Yummy food, friendly service and fun environment. Definitely will be back again! 🍻🍀
The Drinks and food were Awesome ..Shane our waiter was so handsome and nice.He went out of his way to give us great service.I will definitely be back soon!
Fantastic service! Jameson and Guinness was delicious (as it should be). Are Lingus chips are amazing, watch out they hot.
Fantastic! Friendly staff, feels authentic inside. Beers are actually Irish and the food is excellent. I honestly went in here thinking I’d hate it but it was great! Shepard’s pie was the best I’ve had outside of the British isles. Cod and chips were best in the valley. Can’t believe someone rated this down because it was busy on paddies day!Anyway, well worth a try!!
The burger I had was ridiculously good. I generally dont give a restaurant a five star rating after only visiting once, but this place really feels like something special. Ridiculously friendly staff, awesome Irish music and an ambiance I havent seen or felt since I was last on the South Shore of Massachusetts. I could sit here all day and be happy merely because Im here. You really need to just come here and experience it! I plan to return many times!
You won’t believe this, but upon us entering the establishment on St Patrick’s Day they blew all the power out. Everything went out. Looks like it has a future as it just opened this week. Good Luck to the Irish. Oh by the way it’s open seating no reservations...FYI. Never got a chance to eat, very slammed
