Nyungwe national park is one amongst natural sites in Rwanda that has an amazing views from all corners. It host the tremendous diversity of both plants and animals. Mostly primates. Its extra ordinary to come across more than 200 families of birds. There is canopy walk the brings positive instincts ever deep inside. Glorious hotels, natural water falls and many more.
Good place for visiting in Rwanda 🇷🇼 nyungwe forest
Nyungwe has different types of trees
How can I say nyungwe forest firstly it was good nature forest in Rwanda and it was kindly in its animal.
The national park with almost all types of nature and adventure
The destination you cannot miss in Rwanda
I would recommend other to explore this natural reserve, especially the Canopy. It is a good experience.
Very attractive and touristic area all over the world
I enjoyed 1 canopy walk,2 chimpanzee trekking,3 natural walk,4 waterfall,5 tea plantation experience
Coolest natural forest with more different types of trees and more different families of animals especially in birds whereas more than 300 types of different families.
Amazing. Note that a negative PCR test is needed to enter. The canopy bridge was beautiful. Especially loved the chimpanzee trek. Keep in mind they’re fast so it can be a pretty intense vertical trek. Walking sticks are complimentary. Overall such a wonderful experience! Definitely recommend !
Was a wonderful moment to be there. I am proud of being a Rwandan.
Nice hilly road. Lot of security and some animals
A very good place to stay but for a short time . Very cold and green tea plantation .
I was so fobalous 2days hiking adventures in nyungwe national Park with T.A Luxury safaris
What a great day in Nyungwe national Park!First the chimpanzee hike then the canopy walk, with great guides, such an amazing place to be for a couple of days. The forest is absolutely stunning!
Is Forest Park where there is many different types of animals and relief which is suitable for seeking
Another world with different kinds of plant species, beautiful monkeys, epic views, and mind-refreshing environment. With the canopy walk, epic views are maximized. Amazing!!
A place that has a balance of nature and human activities. Nature preservation, natural forest and its inhabitants. Clear sky at night, no pollution and sounds of birds, insects and primates.
Absolutely loved Nyungwe Forest NP. The Canopy walk - definitely stole the show. Positioned over 70m above ground, a walk abpve the trees gave the best views of the landscape. A walk from the gate to the canopy took about 30 min through the forests nature tail paths. The nature walk was perfect, with lots of birds, flora and animals such as monkeys spotted along the way. Definitely one of the best experiences you dont wanna miss when in Rwanda.
Wonderful Forest to visit. Dont miss going of the beaten path a little.
Nyungwe is an easy park to get to and navigate if you have a car. It is less easy, but still possible, to navigate the park without a car and via public transportation as I did, though I do not recommend it.Here you can see a plethora of birds, monkeys, chimpanzees, and beautiful views. All hikes are guided, helping the local economy and you learn. We stopped on the way to Congo and stayed three days. It was certainly worth it, and the rangers did a great job in tracking chimps and getting us close to them.PSA: If you camp at Uwinka, bring sleeping bags/blankets. It gets very cold at night.
Loved the Waterfall Trek at Nyungwe! Also highly recommend Kitabi Eco-Centre if you are looking for an affordable place to stay nearby.
The nature is very beautiful but I expected to see a lot of animals. Just I saw some monkeys and squirrels. The canopy is a unique experience. It is full of joys and excitements. I believe 60$ admission fee is expensive.
Its so amazing park in Africa your can find many birds inside the park and many more animals
A rainy, huge, beautiful, safe forest! You can have many adventures in Nyungwe, such as waterfall trail, chimpanzee trek, canopy walk, streams and diverse plants and monkeys. About entertainment you will find beautiful luxurious and affordable hotels and annual nyungwe marathon which happens always in the beginning of Mach.
Just amazing out of the world experience.. so peaceful
It s great nature there. Beautiful trees and the amazing canopy
Amazing atmosphere, great place to visit. Magnificent views
I had done two trail in two days in row. It is great. But to save you time pay online before you go there. Also, if you want to save some money get your rain coat and a good hiking shoe or you gotta rent from there. The guides are awesome:)
This is the place you can visit full of peace good smell mist around it is totally worth millions of happiness
I loved the place very much, wild animals mainly baboons, ever green forest with dense vegetation, endlessly ascending road that takes a maximum of four hours drive to cross
My favorite National Park in Rwanda. Very green, birds sing everywhere in the forest, Waterfalls are awesome to explore, canopy is awesome to walk on, you cant leave without going for chimpanzees or Black and White Colobus Monkeys, and many more activities to do there!
We did the chimp trekking and colobus trekking. The rating is based on the beauty of the forest, the abundance of monkey and chimp sightings, and the trails. Some of the trails had steps and benches. Daniel happened to be our guide on both occasions and he was terrific. He was also a maestro at taking pictures with our phones through the binoculars. Visitors should be aware of a few things though:Chimp Trekking - Long day. The terrain was dry and in some places steep. However, the trek was worth the reward. The trackers were amazing. We found the chimps after about 45 minutes of walking and they were on the move. The trackers kept on their heels and we saw them on the ground (one was even running). They continued to track them until a resting spot and we stayed there for a good hour and watched them climb and eat. There were several ant colonies. Definitely tuck your pants into your socks. The porters were valuable both with helping on steep areas, and also clearing ants from your shoes/clothes if needed.Colobus - short hike, some through tea fields. Markedly easier than chimps. The trackers again were amazing finding and following the monkeys. No porters needed. Total trip was 3 hours.Canopy tour was under maintenance, unfortunately.
Its wonderful memorable to visit this Amazing untouched tropical rainforest especially in early morning where you get to see forest covered by fog and sunrise or at the evening where you get to enjoy sunrise over the big field of tea plantation!
It is a very nice park with natural Forest, beautiful birds and animals like chimpanzees, monkeys...the amazing canopy walk also is good. Highly recommendation to people want to visit Rwanda
Nyungwe National Park is so incredible, very natural and great place for adventure thru its walking trails. The best way to meet rare to find monkey species, will recommend this destination to anyone who plans to visit Rwanda!
A breathtaking destination for tourists who want to relax, take away his stresses.A comfortable place for nature lovers .I experienced canopy walk and waterfall. However for Birders, this the best place for them where you meet some endemic species that you cannot find anywhere in the region. There are more than 310 Bird species.
The biggest tropical rain forest in Rwanda with the best nature view and attractive species ever.
If youre driving on your own in Rwanda make sure to take a trip through the forest, roads were great and wildlife accessible.
Approximately 5 hours from Kigali and a must see for anyone travelling to Rwanda.
Nyungwe national park is a big forest in western South of rwanda. Has many tourist folk, such as canopy walk, many different trailer. In nyungwe they are different animals. While in travail nyungwe I was coming from rusizi. I saw some monkey on the road unfortunately is prohibited to go outside of a car.The weather in nyungwe is good. Most of the time it rain.In fact nyungwe is secure by rwanda defence force. I s safe t travail In rwanda for everyone and every time. The public restrooms are available. No hotel or bar in the forest.
Nyungwe is so beautiful and the roads are frequently lined with mountain monkeys. I hiked Bigugu mountain today with ranger DAmour - it is the tallest peak in the park. Yesterday I ran a half half Marathon as part of the Nyungwe Marathon on the road. A great experience.Note that Uwinka reception does not take credit card, and if you dont have a vehicle you will need to pay transit for yourself and the ranger, which by moto is approx 24,000 RwF. Park fees including mandatory guide on all hikes is $40USD or 35,000RwF. Bring cash accordingly.
One of best examples of an ancient mountain rainforest with beautiful primates and an abundance of bird life.
Excellent Reserve, canopy walkway is a great experience
Nice forest, you only see relatively little animals.
This is a place you shouldnt miss while visiting Rwanda, they are different interesting activities to do there, like the canopy walkway, waterfalls , chimpanzees , different kinds of monkeys etc , you also enjoy the nature of the tropical rain forest as you hike. I highly recommend Nyungwe national park for visitors.
Wildlife abounds on this beautiful forest. There is something wonderful and wild every place you look. This is a jungle, so dont expect paved trails or easy access. Do expect birds, monkeys, baboons, and chimpanzees. Simply spectacular!
