Nymfes Waterfall - Tourist attraction in Corovode, Albania
Lots of falls, but sadly no water
Lots of garbage, the road was stony, no waterfall visible though it rained heavily on the day before
No water, lot of waste around. It was awful. Zero interest.
Unfortunately there was no water at all when we arrived, totally dried out.
There is Waterfall without Waterfall :its too dry so its No water there
Unfortunately there was no water due to the drought. The area is nice and clean.
Don’t go there in the summer. Only thing you will see there is some trash and dried out rivers. No water in sight and the way to get get there is also not worth it.
Nice and short walk, but today 07.08.2022 the waterfalls were completely dry, there was no water at all 😱
Nature provided a nice area which has subsequently been trashed by humans. Broken glass all over the place and much litter. Discarded cans, metal, bottles, plastic debris and even old car tyres.
Nice place. Visited it in summer so it was dry, but locals strongly suggested coming back in spring to see the actual waterfall. Get good hiking shoes, there are lots of tracks to walk in the valley which is not hot even in summer
Beutiful place, but no waterfall due to dry season.
There is no water in the waterfall. Probably it is dry in summer seazon.
It was totally dry when we visited it in the middle of the junius. I think down there there was a lot of trash on the road from a bit fharer the waterfall..Hmmm I do not know why is it but it is really interesting... I hope the water will appear again after some rainy days. The tour down is really safety but be careful if you are arriving by car with the road. It quality is not so good around the area.
During hot months you will not see the real waterfall, only stone where the water should fall. If you have a lot of free time and like the nature - come here.
No water in july but still enjoyed it. The stairs are quite an experience :D
Beautiful place BUT this is not easy to go through with children . Used to be a landfill in the first part you can see garbage everywhere through the ground . GREEK tourist authorities LISTEN, you need to clean this place !!!!!!!
Unfortunately the waterfall was dry due to lack of rain, pity as think it would have been beautiful
We were not so lucky and didnt have a chance to see waterfall. Also be carefull with stairs.
cool but location but we dont had that much Waterfall but we know this before - its summer. but its always a place to visit...
Nice to see if it is on your way, the waterfall is rather small and the entry is from the side from the road, not so easy to see at first sight. There is a blue arrow pointing that points the entrance, it helps a bit.
Beautiful olive groves nearby, but theres almost no water, the waterfall is practically dry in summer.
We were there in june and discovered that there is no wayerfall, so maybe summer is the not best time to visit it :(
Visiting the waterfalls near Nymfes village is a special experience.
A lovely place of nature, green and fresh. Unfortunately, the area ruined by decades of garbage disposing. Its not enjoyable to hike around
Not much water in the summer, but it still would be a quiet, cool place. Unfortunately its full of trash.
We have been lucky to see the waterfall during summer because of a rainy day. Otherwise during summer it is to dry. It is possible to drive by car directly to the waterfall, no worries. Unfortunately a lot of rubbish was lying around.
Could be pretty nice. Unfortunately there wasn’t much water coming down (Mid May). The road is in very bad condition and very narrow. Don’t know if it is worse the torture…
Nice you can drive so close to the waterfall. Not much water but it was still worth the stop.
Nice walk down to the falls, was a peaceful place, would like to go again
from our trip, amazing experience!!!! ask us for more information.
Small waterfall in a very green area. Roads are not too good but we parked at the soccer field. From there it is 15 minutes walking through a forest of olive threes.
Pretty waterfall in nice surroundings. It is worth viewing if its on your way somewhere. The way down/up is steep but theres a path. The waterfall dries up in the warmest months so dont go in high season. There are a couple of benches to sit on but not a lot of room to view the waterfall. There is a small area to park in at the top of the path. We went as it was near our destination and the first time we went, in July 20, it was dried up. It has no facilities but the small town of Nymfes is nearby.
Beautiful fall. Worth the trip. The roads might be steep . Just drive with care.
If possible, you should visit the waterfalls in spring, when they still have a lot of water. After that, it is a matter of luck after rainfall. There are several waterfalls, the most famous is the big one, but there are also others as you can see in my photos. The mill problem does not come from the Corfiots but from the tourists who drop pretty much everything they no longer need. Herewith an appeal to all tourists who visit this place. Firstly, dont throw away any rubbish there and secondly, anyone who discovers rubbish there can pick up a piece of it and dispose of it in the mill bucket.
Today visit Nymfes waterfall for the first time. From home we heading to Nymfes village When arrived center of the village road quite small (not good idea for big carPass the park turn left keep going untill football place keep left arrived (drive slow)We park our car before and walk about 5 minutesNature ,Flowers ,Waterfall stunning
Nice waterfall but only in winter time after a long rain period.
Visited on a sunny January lunchtime. It was very busy. Plenty of various places to park a car.The strips down are supported by wooden logs however some of them were slippy. The main waterfall is very impressive. Water is clear at the bottom. There is a stream a little bit further along with rocks you can cross over to a smaller waterfall on the left of the main one.Although there is an overflowing bin there is lots of rubbish lying around.
Stunning view. There more it has been raining before, the more impressive will be the Waterfall. But also the more difficult and mud will be the way down. Be prepared. Perfect for s short swim splash.
We had the chance to visit the waterfall during a sunny day by the end of October.Very nice view we enjoyed. Please be aware that stairs are so steepy so be prepared with good boats.
How would anyone expect this waterfall to have water when all summer it hasnt rained its madness.Seems like some people have to common sense...Anyway its an amazing place to go and visit but if you want the waterfall to be in motion of course it would have had to rain.
We visited this place on July 7th, we were unlucky, as it was dried out, definitely nice area, couple of wooden steps, maybe like 50, nice area with a bench on bottom, just too bad we didnt get water :)
Nice place, when it rains (e.g. in winteriz may be waterfall. In summer it is nice cold place with dropping water. The road from Episkepsi is quite dirty. It is worth to visit the family taverna in Omali on the way :).
Very Nice Spot for Photography in Nymfes village in Corfu Island!
Probably more often visited in the summer but seems fun for a winter visit aswell since there are more chances to see water. Path is relatively easy and short. Attached photos are from January.
Here in late October, plenty of water! Welcome to the capitalocene🐇
No water in September! Waterfail is a good description
So there is not waterfall this time of the year, was so dry u couldnt bother to walk to this place. Im guessing its pretty when the water is.
In the middle of August there was no water unfortunately. Thus it should look better whit it :)The path is quite easy - you can go on foot from Nymfes for app 30 min. Also accesable by car, just harder to let through the car from opposite direction.Though there was a sign on google maps, but there was no open restaurant. But then again - maybe because the waterfall was dry.
Quite steep steps to access the falls but well worth it. Accessible by car if youre ok with narrow roads with steep drops.
Great find.. you will need good footwear not for people with walking difficulties... Shame that people find it easy to dump their rubbish at the foot of the fall...
