Great way to reatch kigamboni area, less traffic then ferry.
Its built beautifully, the roads are wide and smooth. What I dont like is the speed limit.
Nice place to visit and take pics 😂 cause its the best flyover in Tanzania
The Nyerere Bridge, linking the business area of Tanzanias largest city Dar es Salaam to the Kigamboni district across the Kurasini creek, is the largest cable-stayed cross-sea bridge in sub-Saharan Africa.
You can’t make a U turn without paying for a toll. Watch out for speed cameras too.
This bridge connects the mainland of Daressalaam with across the ferry(Kigamboni). Hate the speed limits. Do visit especially during the nights, the colorful lights are beautiful ❤️
Place is cool and very attractive down the bridge there is nice beach. Also you can take photos around the bridge. Please dont take photos in the collection gate is strictly prohibited.
Its a beautiful bridge, you can have a good view of both Ocean view and City view while youre there
The road is smooth curvy tempting to race . Something to be aware off is the speed limits😂😂 dear drivers if you dont like speeding tickets drive according to the limits. And it is more beautiful during the night time. It has perfect lighting and the breeze makes it more lovely.
Too bad i couldnt get enough pictures for me and you for i was in a fast moving car. What i can tell you anyone who passes by this bridge wonders how great it was built. Its attrctive both day and night but mostly in the night the light brings its perfect beauty. There is a place you pay while passing through it reduced car traffic and its an easy way to some places. Mostly vehicles use this way i dont know about pedestrians.Enjoy every moment Kisses and Loves.
Great bridge nice engineering at night it lights up
Kigamboni Bridge is a 680-meter-long bridge in Tanzania that connects the Dar es Salaam ward of Kurasini from the east to the west of Kigamboni district across the Kurasini Creek. Construction work began in February 2012 and completed in April 2016. The completion of the bridge has offered an alternative transport link to the new district of Kigamboni. Previously, the Kivukoni ferry provided a quick transport link between south east of the Dar es Salaam Central Business District specifically from south east of Kivukoni to north west of Kigamboni. The bridge have six lanes (three on each directionand two pedestrians/cyclists lanes with width of 2.5 meters (one on each side). Construction of 2.5 km approach roads were completed with 1 km on the Kurasini side and 1.5 km on the Kigamboni side. The road joins the Nelson Mandela expressway through elevated free interchange to separate traffic approaching and leaving the junction. There is a toll plaza for controlling and charging of vehicles passing through the bridge. A total of 14 controlled lanes are going to be in this area (seven for each of the two directions).
I have to give this progress of development 5 stars as it deserves.
The Mwalimu Nyerere bridge is quite a milestone for outstanding development projects accomplished by Tanzania government. Its a tremendous investment indeed. But some of the pass toll to cross needs some reconsideration to sustain locals.
Proud of my government. Pass there especially at night and you will realize that you are not in Tanzania while you are here. Scenery sooo clean. Workers at the gates very trained. The place is beautiful.

Its the bridge joining kigamboni and kurasini. If you start a journey from kurasini side, you can not turn around until you cross the bridge. There is a crossing fee for motorcycle and other vehicles starting at TZS 600 to TZS 5000
One of the good place and very amazing area in Tanzanian the Mwalimu Nyerere bridge where people in the night they use to walk and make many photos which are showing the good looks also for the Tanzanian is one of the source of income for the country cause number of people who visit this area using cars they must pay this all the way Thea area is so good and it is interesting so for any one with the need to refresh or conduct the research can use the area by just following the confirm and the regulation which are available
