Cosy bistro for French dishes and North African couscous and tagine, with eclectic vintage decor.
Great food and service. The hummus was really delicious. My friend is vegetarian so we only tried vegetarian items and they were all prefect. The atmosphere was great. There was only one staff so service was a little slow but worth the wait. And she was very friendly too.
Ate here last night, second visit and it wont be the last..delicious food and fabulous service..second to none...
Very good food and bar.Nice and chilled vibe also.Im a frequent visitor.
I took my wife here for our anniversary dinner, this was a week day due to childcare and the restaurant still had a lovely atmosphere, enough people to give a feeling of being in your own little bubble. We had a mixed platter to share to start, it was fantastic a very good size with a lovely selection. We both had a Tagine for our mains, I had the meatball with egg and the wife had lamb shank, they both came out extremely hot and the smell was amazing, neither dishes disappointed they were both beautiful.I also a had a pear and almond tart that I would highly recommend, a great finish to a lovely meal certainly worth a try.Staff were great very attentive without being intrusive. Also gave us a desert for free as it was our anniversary very nice touch, thank you.
The vibe was nice and relaxed and the food was nice. They have a great lounge/cocktail bar downstairs which was a lovely end to the night
1st visit to this resturant and I must say I had a great time. Food and service was brilliant. It was recommended by my cousin and it did not disappoint. Very nice flavoursom place to eat and will definitely visit Numidie resturant again for something different from the norm. Keep up the great work.
Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent at this local restaurant in Crystal Palace. Ive found a new local favourite!
The meal was fine, nothing specialTheres a minimal wine list so I was surprised and disappointed that there was just one glass of the Malbec left.
We got a tajine and a cous cous. Not definitely the real thing. Those were both out of the same stew pot and the chicken was some grilled chicken breast tossed in. Also they brought a small bowl of actual cous cous grains... I was looking forward proper maroccan food and got very disappointed. Also prices exclude vat? Is this the US...?Giving 2 stars because its clean and the service is also so and so.
Very good food and excellent service
Numidie was a great dining experience. From the brilliant service, the interesting, fresh, delicious food through to the great environment, its was just a lovely evening.
Food and service amazing plus a nice touch on the table for my partner’s birthday. Highly recommend
Brilliant food, generous portions and a very attentive front of house. One of Crystal Palaces hiddens gems 10/10
Really nice restaurant and beautiful setting. Really enjoyed the meal. I had a kofta tajine and merguez
We had a girls night out here and it was fantastic food, service was excellent!!We will definitely be back for more 😂Thank you
Took my mum here for mothers day dinner and she said it was the best mothers day ever. Absolutely delicious food, veggie and vegan options, great portion size, friendly staff. Banging.
Very delicious meal with generous portion. Great service. The only downside is the food can take a little long so don’t come too hungry. Bring some friends for some catch-up and to enjoy a delightful meal together.
Celebrated my daughter’s birthday at the wonderful Numidie last night. We had a table for 10 people and the service we received was exemplary despite the restaurant being full. Food was amazing and very tasty and the atmosphere very intimate and cosy. Thank you to the team at Numidie for being so amazing and attentive, you all really made the evening special.
Had the most wonderful meal here, the food was delicious and a really nice relaxed atmosphere. If Im honest it was nicer than the tagine I had in Marrakech! Local gem.
Everything was delicious and the service was great even though they were short staffed. Top marks! We’ll be back…
We have the lamb shoulder, grill fish, soup, and pan cake dessert. All are fantastic!!
Imagine my mom finding out that the food from here is better than hers, dont tell no one. Just the perfect place to eat if you wanna have a perfect meal.
Had a lovely meal here. Lots of choice on the menu. Food was great and a lovely waitress. Lacked a bit of atmosphere as only one other diner. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The food and atmosphere was great, busy for a Tuesday night too. Merguez to start and two tagines, my Lamb shank tagine was very good.We found the service to be slightly on the slow side and a little simple but we all have off days!Cant give 5* as the wine was expensive for a house wine thats only 175ml and the tagine didnt come with artichoke as stated. But all in all will definitely go back
Wonderful experience, great service and so friendly! Food was delicious and we felt really looked after. The mezze platter was excellent great recommendations! A big thank you to our waiters Jodie, Jeff and Manu
Brilliant food and friendly service. The merguez sausages were really tasty but the star of the show was the lamb shoulder tagine which was absolutely delicious and very tender. Will definitely go there again.
Great restaurant on the High Street. The dishes were delicious. Great service, very attentive. We particularly like the North African decor. Bar at the back.
The Best evening out in ages! Gorgeous, food & drinks (Wine from Severn Valley, England). Fantastic choice of Tagines to choses from. Lovely environment for conversations. And to top it off, fantastic Staff!!!
Beautiful cosy restaurant with downstairs bar.Food was delicious and served in authentic tagine. Great friendly service by all staff.
Lovely small restaurant. The service was really friendly and personal. The food was delicious. Downstairs they have a small cocktail bar which is great for a post dinner drink.
Great food, great service. Limited menu since they reopened but still some great options. Need to update their website so people know theyre open!!!Very much my favourite place to eat on the triangle.
Really nice place, lovely atmosphere and food was delicious! Thanks
Amazing food, so authentic as well as the setting. You get transported to North Africa. Great staff too. All round thumbs up. Will definitely return!
Local Moroccan. Food is reasonably authentic. I thought it was a bit too sweet but thats a personal taste thing. Service was a bit hit and miss. Too sum up it makes a change from the indicticat restaurants & bars that are starting to invade Crystal Palace. But Id need another visit to give a definite decision.
Wonderful food and great service
Have dined here several times and, although the tagines are very hot in temperature and the restaurant is very hot if your table is near the kitchen, the food has always been delicious. However, this evening, the service wasnt good. We waited ages for our starters and then our main course. They forgot something from each course and it was hard to attract attention of waitresses to tell them. I usually order lamb shank which is delicious and comes with Jerusalem artichoke but it came with potato and mushroom instead. Appreciate that they may not have Jerusalem artichoke but would like to be told. Very disappointed.
Overpriced and pretentious with tiny portions and a cold and stiff atmosphere. The food was reasonably tasty but I’ve eaten much better for much less. The waitress was sweet but completely inept, and to add to that the till was broken, meaning we had o go get cash out to pay.Came here due to good reviews, but I’m not sure what all the hype is about. Thoroughly disappointed.
Very tasty African cuisine. Good quality at decent prices - local, homely decor. Could really do with air con though - gets very hot in there, especially if youre eating the delicious spicy sausages!
Lovely food. Understaffed so waiting times were long considering it was half full/empty. Totally worth it though. The lamb was fantastic. We found the quality of the food much better during weekdays than Friday eve / weekend.
First time but it wont be my last. Cant wait to go back. Quite a very busy place, so Ill recommend that you book in advance. Beautiful atmosphere. Great food. The food presentation was superb. Customer service was top notch.
I love Numidie! Havent eaten here in a while but my visit tonight proves the food is as fantastic as ever. The staff are the most friendly and hospitable you could meet and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Numidie is always first on my list of recommended places to eat around Crystal Palace and you wont regret giving them a try.
I really enjoyed the food here, charming North African vibe with the decor and softly playing music. The reason I didn’t give it four stars is simply the stacked chairs at the entrance and the hot soft drinks. Also they didn’t know what beers were in stock and there was a lot of food handling with bare hands- lime wedges stuck in our drinks with hands that had just picked up other diners’ plates etc...no thanks! It’s unfortunate as the food was fantastic but the bar and table service was a bit below par.
Really enjoyed it. Very different than regular cuisine.
Lovely cosy place to eat, food was delicious. We definitely come again.
Delicious flavoursome food, always. Love the spicy sausage starter best of all.Their website needs updating as there were a couple of dishes no longer on the menu that are still on the online one.Besides that we were very happy with our dishes and the waitress did a great job seeing to everyone single handed!Look forward to our next visit and hopefully the fab little downstairs bar will be open next time.
100% recommend this place! We had an unexpected private dining experience, as we were the only customers there at the time! (Monday nightWe received amazing service, & even better food. The lamb tangine was WOW so good. Cheap gin & tonic. Lovely place. 5/5
Lovely food, great value, they made a veggie tagline for me which wasnt on the menu but it should be, was really good! Starter of aubergine with cheese on top was really good too and nice house wine. Cheers!
Lovely little place to eat the food is divine, staff very polite and friendly, music just right and also they have a bar downstairs to for those that just want to relax and chill. Its one of my favourite resturants.Ive introduce and brought friends and family and they just love eating at Numidie also.1can see by some of there reviews.
The sharing platter is gorgeous to start, the bric and sausage are so good! The tagines are superb and everything I hoped they would be, rich, spicy and sweet with lovely slow cooked lamb. A minor down marking would be the stuffiness; no air conditioning that was working and got a little uncomfortable after the mains. To sum up though, great atmosphere, service and food would recommend.
The food and service are both excellent. I have eaten here twice now and its been great both times. Their treatment of ingredients seems very unique and refreshing. It is a place I would consider making my usual hangout. Its that good.
