Numbs Bar & Restaurant - Italian restaurant in Vatican City, Vatican City
DisgustingWe had leftover food served, a Bug in our drink , very smal dishes and he had the audacity to ad 8 Euros to the Bill for Service?!Terribel
Chairs were not so great and tables almost fell apart. But luckly the staff was nice and the food looked pretty good. The taste of it was alright.I also liked the front cover of the menu.
a bit pricey but the food was very good
I like the food. Very tasty . Pasta with truffles
We arrived at the restaurant with 4 children and had a particularly bad experience. The food is not tasty at all and the service is bad.
The worst restaurant I have ever been too. The plates were dirty and full of dust. We ordered brunch, they took our dirty plates and just brought them back with the food on them. We also found hair on the plate. The prices really really high for what they offer. In general the restaurant was dirty
Mediocre food at best.18% tip automatically included on the bill.Drinks were overcharged (two 7 euro glasses of wine plus a bottle of water miraculously costed us 25,50)Super friendly staff though
We loved Numbs Bar & Restaurant in Rome. The staff was exceptional and friendly. The Chief is happy to accommodate any request. There are so many delicious options on the menu for breakfast lunch and dinner...and breakfast is not limited to the Continental or American breakfasts. I ate a Caprese Salad one morning for breakfast and a Rosemary Focaccia another morning. Everything is fresh and made to order. Prices are extremely reasonable. We could not have been more pleased and highly recommend this restaurant. A shout out to Marek. We sure do miss our meals with you all. You made our stay extra special.
Mediocre service, bland pizza, conflicting prices on the menu vs what they charged me. This is certainly a place I regret wasting my time and money on, when the city of Rome has so much better to offer.
Terrible service. Extremely bland pizza. Deceitful charges on bill.
Visited here for dinner in Aug 17. 2022. Had a weird experience when giving changes from the server with the receipt. The change was exact 5 euro. He gave me five euros but with a lot of coins even containing 0.01 and 0.05 euro coins also some 0.10 coins. I was really uncomfy with this but I just left. I didnt want to argue and ruin my feeling in Rome. However food was great and their service was good.
The food is terrible a typical tourist trap I would avoid at all cost. We told the owner and he told us that this was not McDonald’s and lashes out at me and my boyfriend. AVOID
The owner is so rude we waited 30 minutes for our food and the chicken was awful. Gordon Ramsey needs to teach this wannabe Italian cook how to properly make foodI would not feed this food to my own dogs.Don’t go here
Total scam. The most regular food, sarcastic waiters and they charged 18% for service without previous notice…definitely not coming back, better places to eat at Rome.
Great services, amazing food. Best food I’ve had in Italy in the past 2 weeks
The food at this place is good, service is friendly and waiting times are not long. Beware though, they add 12% automatically to the bill, so you are already paying a 12% tip even when you dont want to. It was worth paying it, but its very sneaky to add that to the total amount already.
Fantastic Restaurant!! The best we’ve been to in a week in Rome, so good we went back on the last night of our trip.Great feels from sitting down, the team were fantastic, polite and so friendly, engaging in conversation about our trip and where we were from.Marek was amazing, interacting with our kids and making our dining experience so good.Would recommend to anyone to go and have a fantastic meal and excellent priced cocktails!!Thanks again too Marek and the team at Numb….can’t wait too come back
Have just eaten there. The food was not good, specially pizza was not eatable. The restaurant isnt worth recommending. Very disappointing.
This restaurant defraud tourists! It was an 18% "Maggiorazione" fee on the bill! I asked the waiter, but he couldnt explain it!The food are not worth the price! The grilled lamb chops could not be cut with a dining knife, they brought me the cleaver at least 20 minutes later … but the meat was so tough and it was very hard to cut! The strawberries on the Panna Cotta are rotten!I was alone there on 04. August. 2022 for dinner, the bill was 46€.1 Panna Cotta 8,001 Bottle water 0.5l 3,001 Glass Chardonnay 7,001 Grill Lamm 21,0018% Maggiorazione 7,00Total per person: 46,00
Food was mediocre at best. Pizza was terrible. Bread was dry. Lasagna ok but worst part is they charge you 18% which no one in Italy does. Total tourist trap and rip off
Don’t understand the bad reviews. It certainly wasn’t the absolute best restaurant I’ve been to in Rome but I had a really nice pasta, the location is really nice (in the shade), staff is great, food came quickly- overall absolutely nothing wrong with it!
great place, extremely friendly waitresses, we came quite late, but they had no problem to find place for 13 people, the food was really good. i recommend it. thank you!!
The food was amazing (carbonaraand came fast , they were really kind.
Good food but nothing special.
good staff, but the wait was very long (waited more than 20 minutes for simple pastaand very overpriced for the quality
Service charge of 2€ per person for bread/service. When I said no bread was given the owner offered it at the end of the meal...Bruschetta was one piece of old toast with tomatoes for 5€.
Food was good. Service was terrible. We had to wait for more than 15 minutes to get our order taken. Waiters never looked into our direction and even sometimes refused to help. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here. Pick another place nearby.
Great place with great location nearby the spanish stairs. The service is good and the food tasty with affordable prices. We ordered the danish meat fillets "robespierre" with great italian wine and the Gnocchi with tomato.
Even considering that it is a tourist destination, it is too expensive, the food quality is not good, and it is unkind.
Great food. Great service
We waited so long for everything. First courses only OK, asked for two drinks between courses both were incorrect. Second course was terrible. This restaurant was over priced. Service was bad. We asked for a spoon twice which didnt come at all! Their attitude was almost like they couldnt quite be bothered to serve you. But the bill was twice that of the night before. Never again.
We had a very good dinner here. They were able to accommodate our young children and even made a plain risotto upon asking. Tables outside were warm enough with the patio heaters on.
Ok aperol spritz, very nice service and nice place to rest after sightseeing. When waiter noticed we were unhappy because other guests were smoking near us(outside tableshe offered us a different table. They also provided free olives to our drinks.
Very good cappuccino! The pizza was great. Honestly everything but the Melon with Parma ham was great, the ham was slightly dried on the very extremes. Overall it was great. Nice atmosphere. We sat outside, the only downside was the lots of cars going down the street. Friendly staff!
Despite other reviews I thought this place was lovely, I am a solo traveller so perhaps that is why I was not overcharged for my meal, nor was charged tip on my bill. My food was delicious as I took the hostess’ recommendation! Would eat here again.
Overpriced, non professional and cheating with prices and bills - skip it!!!After spending the whole morning in this area, two of us decided to have lunch at the terrace of this restaurant. Our waiters were very slow. They take our orders after maybe 20 minutes. Then waiter first bring meal, salat and potatoes for me. Other meal we have had to wait 10 more minutes. Since I didnt want to eat alone, my plate colded till then. When we were finished and asked for bill, first they gave us one with 77€ amount. For every single meal they increased the amount for 1-2€ compared to menu. After we complained, they gave us a new invoice with 70 € amount. All in all, our worst experience with restaurants in Rome.
The best Carbonara I ever had and aperitivo was amazing too.But prices are a bit too high and forced tip is just crazy. Waiter told the musician to leave when we really enjoy the music.
Very expensive for what it is. A orange juice, an ice cream (they gave me 5 balls of ice cream?!and a smoothie of orange 29,50€?! What world are we living in. The waiters were very nice but took long to take the order and everything in general…
The food literally put me in a bad mood. I was very disappointed with my pizza. Usually I get one at a place in Rome and I have to debate which was was the best because they are all so good. This was clearly the loser. 2 stars from 1 because my wife ate 5 bites of her risotto. They do add a 10 percent tip to the bill.
Do you like to have typical tourist spaghetti/pizza/cappuccino fare, waitress who forgets your order, brings the orders at different times (so that we all eat at embarrassingly different times), bruschette with old bread, dry salad, overcooked pasta, dipped in oil, stale cheese, weak coffee...? Then this is the place for you.Not for me. I’d rather spend a little more and get genuine food.Location is nice, a few minutes walk from the Spanish steps.
Found this restaurant after walking from the Spanish Steps. It was packed during lunch time, especially in the outdoor seating area. But the inside area is as comfy. Ordered pizza Margherita and pasta with ragu sauce. The food was served quick and the portions are huge. Both pizza and pasta are goooooooodddd.
Good food and nice friendly staff. The food was good and portion was large.
I stumbled upon this place wandering Rome at night trying to find a place to eat. I have to admit I chose the place because the staff were so friendly and warm, and as a solo traveller I really appreciate that. The food is quite good, but really it is the staff that made the place for me. There was a diversity I haven’t seen in Rome so far here, with staff from all over the wold working here, and I felt welcome and well taken care of which is really important when travelling alone. Beautiful atmosphere as well :)
Well, possibly our worst restaurant experience during our 6 nights in Rome. Not all bad, the food we actually found OK, but certainly not better than any of the other places we visited. The service was good, and the restaurant was nice enough, and looking at the menu board, and inside they are trying to market it as a little upscale - and this is why we chose it when comparing to the one next door.Water - 3 Euros for a bottle - seems to be the standard and OK - but instead of a bottle from a water company, it comes in a blue bottle with no cap/top with the restaurant name on the bottle - another review says tap water - and it could be - and probably is.Service Charge - 2 Euro for service/bread - not explained very well what bread was included - we were asked if wed like foccacia bread - sad yes - this came at 6 euros.Beer - .2 cl is 6 Euro, 40 cl is 9 euros - most expensive I saw in the street restaurants.Wine - priced OK - probably on par with same type of restaurants.I do not understand service charge - normally if there is a service charge - there is no need to tip - I dont understand it as I would normally tip more than the service charge for good service - we were asked when paying bill to add tip for waiters - I did - but probably should not have.Would I go back - no. In future going to check Google reviews on my phone before we pick a restaurant.
Food is really really bad. Mushroom soup tastes like water, caesar salad is very poorly done as the chicken is really dry. The seafood pasta is made up of small mussels and prawns.. A small meal for two also came to a total of 90 euros, an absolute ripoff. At least the staff were nice. Avoid eating here as I feel really sick after visiting this place.
Normal food with strange charge like tax and service. Could have much more better choice.
Food is tasteless and it is ridiculously overpriced. I could cook better pasta myself on a campsite in the middle of nowhere. Lasagna bad as well. Beer costs 9 Euros! Feels like a scam for tourists. This totally ruin my expectations on the famous Italian food. Totally rubbish, eat somewhere else. The service was good.
Fantastic food, wine and service. Pizza is wonderful!
I don’t review anything usually but I want you all to know! If you care about integrity, customer satisfaction and yummy food, don’t eat here. The pasta was ok, considering we got the safest option of just tomato sauce. Took one bite of the beef and got the bill. Oh and by the way they charged 3€ for tap water served in an already used sparking water bottle — they claimed it was filtered, as if filtered water isn’t free at a street fountain. This place is a real joke!!
Good service food alright but they charge 8euros for the foccacia.
