Nuhash Polli - Picnic ground in Dhaka, Bangladesh
If you love "Humayun Ahmed," you must visit "Nujas Polli." He decorated this place with his dreamy ideas. The whole area is quite large. There is green everywhere. Many rare trees, tree houses, ponds, and different sculptures have made this place praiseworthy.

Nuhash Polli is located in Piruj Ali village of Gazipur district which is the largest village in Bangladesh. The late fiction writer Humayun Ahmed has established this natural landscape in Gazipur near Dhaka, Nuhash Palli. Hotapara Bazar is 12 km away from Gazipur crossroads. Nuhash Palli is located in Pirujali village, 6 km away from there which is made up of 40 bighas of land. Suddenly a piece of clean garden inside the forest. Quiet gentle atmosphere. Above are litchi, blackberry and olive tree, a symbol of peace. Green grass carpet below. Like a piece of Shanti Niketan. Humayun Ahmed, the legendary writer of postmodern Bengali literature, is asleep here forever. The ticket price is BDT 200. There is a wonderful sustainable project running by selling tickets. This is basically a school founded by Humayun Ahmed.
Nuhash polli is picnic spot which is build by our legendary famous writer Humayun Ahmed. This place was good for family picnic. It was so beautiful. Nature loaded place☺️. But the road of Gazipur its very bad.
Nohaspolli was very beautiful ... but there were many female idols ... to us ... it was very painful😐

A place of peace & beauty but the entry fee is quite illogical. It is so much Tk. 250 for each person for entry.
Very expensive hangout place far from the main highway. Road repair in progress.
So nice place... I want to visit the place again...
Nuhas Polli is a wonderful place to visit for many reasons. This piece of site is belongs to late Humauyn Ahmed who was a writer, novelist, dramatists, screen writer and also professor. Humauyn Ahmed built Nuhas Polli for his own definite purpose. During his time he used to spent time over there with his team. One of the purpose of this place is to making shooting for the drama. After the death of Humauyn Ahmed this place is made open for the general people. Followers and lovers of Humauyn Ahmed also love to visit this site for inspiration.Shrines of Humauyn Ahmed is also located here.
Nuhash Palli is a place where the eminent writer Humayun Ahmed has built a retreat unlike any other. Hundreds throng the site, which is also used as a shooting spot, each day to get a glimpse of the world of Humayun Ahmed. Ticket required.
Nahash Polli is a picnic spot located at Pirujali village, 25 km away from Gazipur district headquarter. At present, Nuhash Polli covers an area of about 40 bighas. The late popular novelist Humayun Ahmed built this garden house as his family entertainment and shooting spot in Gazipur, near Dhaka. There are about 250 species of rare, spicy, fruity, and wild plants. Each plant has an identification plate attached to it, which makes it easy to recognize them. A few hanging houses have been built on the branches of a large tree in the middle of the green field. To the east of the park, there is a date orchard. A nice tin house in one end, called “Brishti Bilash”. Another attraction of Nuhash Polli is “Lilabati Dighi”. A variety of trees surround the Dighi. There is a paved ghat and a small island in the middle of the Dighi. Coconut trees are standing high on that island. There are also some interesting things you may like in Nuhash Polli, such as Humayun’s bust and tomb, a lotus pond, a stone mermaid (মৎস্যকন্যাin the lake, imitation of prehistoric animals, a rugged swimming pool designed in organic form, a chess floor, tea house and many more. There are three bungalows in Nuhash Polli including ‘Bhoot Bilas (ghost house)’ and ‘Brishti Bilas (rain celebration)’.Nahash Polli is open to visitors all year round. There are no weekly closures. It is open every day from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm. At the special request, it remains open for general visitors till the Azan for Maghrib prayer. However, on 2 days of the year i.e. 13th November and 19th July (Humayun Ahmed’s birth and death anniversaryNuhash Polli is open to all for free. No one needs a ticket to enter there for these two days.No prior permission is required to visit Nuhash Polli. Anyone can enter with a fee of 200 takas. There is no charge for children under 10, drivers, and parking cars. More, no fee is required for reciting Fatiha at Humayun Ahmed’s grave. There is another separate gateway for burial on the left side, out the main gate for reciting Fatiha near his grave. The Park is open to all visitors every day from April to November. But from November to March it is mainly rented for picnics. A maximum of 300 people can enter into one group for a picnic every day. To arrange a picnic on a public holiday you have to pay 60 thousand takas, the rest of the days it is 50 thousand. For schools, the fare for a picnic on public holidays will be 50 thousand takas, and on other days the rent will be 40 thousand takas. There are no residential facilities in Nuhash Polli. But one has the opportunity to rest awhile in the bungalow called Brishti Bilash. However, it will take 3000 to 5000 taka to stay in a bungalow called “Bhoot Bilash”.
The care taken by authority during the presence of Sir is now gradually decreasing day by day which is quite disappointing for us. Responsible bodies should take necessary initiative to Conserve his memories.
Prominent writer Humayun Ahmed’s resort named Nuhash Polli...you will get the feel of different descriptions which has expressed in his many writings
Nuhash Polli was founded in 1997. Initially it covered 22 bigha of land. Now it covers around 40 bigha. Actor Dr. Ejaz helped procure the land. The heavenly ‘village’ was named after Nuhash, Humayun Ahmed and Gultekin Khan’s (his first wifeson. Ahmed was very fond of music. He loved to live amidst nature and relished the date plantation, which he had set up inside Nuhash Polli. Most paths in Pirozali (পিরুজালীvillage, under Mirzapur union of Gazipur Sadar Upazila, are lined with thick Shal (শালforest. One path with its beautiful play of light and shadow, welcomes passers-by, leading them towards Nuhash Polli, 25 km from Gazipur Sadar. This was the heaven of Humayun Ahmed, a magician of words, who spent most of his time there after he started directing TV plays and films. Nuhash Polli was open to the public and visitors would traverse great distances to get a view of the picturesque estate.http://offroadbangladesh.com/places/nuhash-polli/
Nuhas polli is such a great place for every literature lovers. Especially who loves bangali literature and who loves Humayun Ahmed, they also love Nuhas polli. It gives you pleasure, mental peace and remembers the history of poet. You can fell Humayun Ahmeds foot print in everywhere at Nuhas polli. He created or built every single iteams from his inner soul. There are more than 150 types of plans. Alongside the place is also known as the house of Humayun Ahmed.
Nuhas polli is a charming and was a beautiful place once. The site is situated in Gazipur which is created by famous Bengali writer Humayun Ahmed. It is the lovely place to visit with friends and family. Nuhash Polli is a farm house which was build by Humayun Ahmed. Who is the most famous writer, novelist, film maker of Bangladesh. It was his dream project. He use this place as shooting spot of his films and TV dramas. It was his second place. He loved this place as his children. So that he wanted to live there after his death. As per his last wish he buried here. After his death this place became more popular. Many people go there only show respect to his graveyard. Nuhash palli is good for day out also. There is a lot of trees. A big water body. And there is night stay facility also. Would advise avoiding the weekends, since these days are usually crowded and noisy. Public transportation is not good. The renovation is urgent to keep this place as beautiful as it once was.
One of the beautiful place in the Gazipur. This place is something special. Only Humayun sir fans will understand the emotion of the place.Overall not bad place, But i think there should be more facilities like restaurant and children playgrounds. Total area are not so big, but it was a place is full of natural beauty & good place to spend quality time with friends and family.
one of the place from my bucket list.ticket price seemed little bit high.200 per person.but its wort it if you get nostalgic after getting similarity of the places from his natok.safe place for hangout..
Its not what we saw in the screens. We entered there with a fee of 200 tk which is much more than it should be. The staffs are not taking care of the creative architecture designed by Humayun Ahamed.Food was good with a little bit higher pricing though.
Nuhash Palli, Gazipur ..------------------------------------------------Nuhash Palli is the garden house of the late Bangladeshi novelist Humayun Ahmed located in Gazipur near Dhaka. In fact, it is the shooting spot and family entertainment center of Nuhash movie. After entering the Nuhash village, there is a prayer room under the Shefali tree on the left hand side of the field. Next to it is a small garden with three old litchi trees. The litchi garden has a black garden on the north side and a mango garden on the south. Humayun Ahmeds tomb is located under that litchi tree.Edit history-----------------------------------------------Bangladeshi novelist Humayun Ahmed founded Nuhash Palli on his own initiative. The late Humayun Ahmed built Nuhash Palli in a village called Pirujali in Hotapara Bazar, 20 km from the crossroads of Gazipur district. He has made various establishments and innumerable fruit and forest trees as well as medicinal plant gardens. Humayun Ahmed has tried to make Nuhash Palli named after his son as his own dream world. So he repeatedly ran to the "paradise paradise" of twenty-two species of green trees that he had made. Sometimes he would come with his family, sometimes he would come to hang out with his friends all night long. Every year on 1st Baishakh, Baishakhi Mela was organized in Nuhash Palli. Humayun Ahmed has built a shooting spot, a dighi and three lovely bungalows in Nuhash Palli. In one he lived and in the other two he developed his artistic thinking. He named the bungalow, which faces the ghat of the paved ghat, Bhoot Bilas. Behind the garden, which is made up of all the rare medicinal plants, is a sculpture of a fairytale mermaid and a monster. There are also Padmapukur and a large swimming pool designed in organic style.Location-------------------------------------Hotapara Bazar is 12 km away from Gazipur Chandna crossroads on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. Pirujali village is 8 km west from there. The late Humayun Ahmed built Nuhash Palli with 40 bighas of land in the same village.
Nuhash Polli is one of my all time favorite place in oir country. But please take care of the children playground and play items. I think those need renovations.
Not as expected.. At least some books and a library should be made inside "Brishti Bilash".. Should take proper care of the place and the sculptures.. Theyve just ruined the place
Good place for day long tour with family; but no night stay facilities for regular visitor.. Have facilities of lunch... The ticket price 200 taka seems high.... But nice place for hangout.
Nuhas Palli is a place free from noise, Clean and full of natural beauty which is a perfect place to spend leisure time with nature. Its a farm house situated in Pirozali, Gazipur. which was build by famous writer, novelist, film maker of Bangladesh "Humayun Ahmed". Nuhas polli is a charming & beautiful place There is a lot of trees. A big water body. And there is night stay facility also.
Nuhash Polli is the cemetery and last housing of famous poet Humayun Ahmed. It is situated in Gazipur district. If you visit the place, itll be a great voyage for you.
"Nuhash Polli" , A favourite residence of Bangladeshi writer Humaun Ahmed. A lot of good books written by Humaun Ahmed by living here. After his deaths now this place is used as a PICNIC spot. Anybody can visit this place by paying 200/Tk.
A place with immense possibilities..200tk ticket price was unreasonably high for what you get to see. Staff has negative body language. Clearly lacks oversight from anyone. It was clean. There are washrooms. A nice cafe would be welcome. Expected a library and small museum on Humayun Ahmed. No effort to take it to next stage. Disappointed to say the least.
I went there as i am die-hard fan. But really disappointed to see the place. My expectations was more than that. Entry fee seems little higher (200/p). Road are cranky somewhere and would be difficult in rainy day.
Located inside the shaal and gojari woods, Nuhash Palli was the late Humayun Ahmeds sanctuary. Amidst the greenery of his self-made haven, you can still feel his presence. Spanning across almost 14 acres of land, the picturesque estate was also the celebrated authors favourite shooting spot for almost all the TV plays and films he directed. It is now a popular picnic spot where hundreds of people throng each day, not only to take a much-needed break from the hustle-bustle of the big city but also to experience the essence of the place that held the writer captivated for years.
Place of emotions, place of love. If you wanna feel Humayun Ahmed then this place is ok for you. But if you just want to go for roaming or picnic purposes then you will regret for your 200 tk ticket. I also disappointed when I noticed the mismanagement. The water of the pond is dirty, one of the Ghats is almost destroyed. The basement of the chessboard is broken. It has one boat that is broken. Inside has a number of hawkers. I request the authority, please take care of it as your highest priorities.
The place where Mr. Humayan Ahmed wanted to sleep forever and the whole place includinh his grave has made there with his own thoughts. Nice place if you are a good fan of Humayan Ahmad, nothing to see but many things to feel of his thought. After his death, it’s fully run as a business place with the name brand of humayan ahmed only. Here entry fee 200tk which is too high for a place like this as well as only food service pakage cost 300tk which is too much costly as per quality & quantity of foods. One suggestion, everone wants to go & feel the place of Humayan Ahmed but the cost of entry & food are a great barrier of that. So, management should take step to make some changes of these.
Very nice and enjoyable place for family tour.Entry fee 200tk per head which was very expensive. There was a hotel inside which offers delicious meals but very costly. However we enjoyed that calm and quiet place.
This beautiful place is bearing the memory of famous writer Humayun Ahmed. This is such a nice place. I have loved the green here. There are many trees and plants, around 250 types. I have loved to spend time in the island type place which is in the Dighi Lilaboti. There are two tree houses also. The large green filed covered with green grass is fabulous.
Nuhas polli is one of the most beautiful place in our country. I think it is one of the great symbol of nature. I love it.this is a really good place to walk in, explore the beauty .Its a quite and nice place to spend leisure time with family and friends.ticket price high.Need to improve more.
very good place for a picnic or a one day tour.kids friendly. there are small cottages which you can rent for the day. there is parking facility and lunch facility as well. but you will have to inform them beforehand for lunch.
Seriously this place is very nice for all age class people. Especially I enjoyed the beautiful natural scenario & village like feelings over here and very neat and clean environment. At the end of the day I was mentally refreshed a lot !
