14 West St, Brighton BN1 2RE, Brighton
Italian restaurant & bar with a graffitied interior serving authentic oven-cooked Neapolitan pizza.
Without doubt the best Italian restaurant Ive ever been to ! If you dont believe me just walk in and you can smell how fresh and delicious the food is and you can watch them make your food !
Family meal, I could feel plastic in my mouth and removed what turned out to be cheese wrapper when my pizza was prepared. Called the waitress, she apologised, took my pizza away and said she would tell the manager. Offered us coffee on the house after eating 3 courses, declined as full. Charged us for everything including my pizza which was taken away. As we were leaving I had to ask to speak with the manager who thought an apology from the waitress was sufficient. Restaurant was 10% full, but she did not think it appropriate to take time to speak with me until I specifically asked, NOT GREAT!!!!
The foccacia was definitely flat bread, compared to other pictures on these reviews ours was completely different. My partner got the beetroot gnocchi which looked like something from Hell’s Kitchen, I think even the chef knew it was bad as he was hoovering around watching her eat it… pizza was okay but shared it with my partner as the gnocchi looked like baby sick and Mochi… service was okay. But food pretty bad… I understand a service charge is the norm in some places but I do expect the bill to be brought to me if I’m paying £3.50 not out of choice…
We have been to this restaurant few times. It is very close to the beach, very spacious and relaxed. Most importantly, this place serves the best tasting pasta that we have ever had. The pasta dishes are very simple yet they taste perfect. Just the right amount of all flavours.
We turned up at 8:30pm, we felt the service was very rushed, the waiter came over numerous times to take our plates even though we had not finished eating, again this happened during dessert. Before we had finished eating our dessert the waiter asked if we wanted the bill. The team continued to hoover and clean around us. We felt very uncomfortable and felt they wanted us to leave.
The food was good but I requested more garlic and basil in one of my dishes and as our waiter took our plate to the back the owner or what seemed like the owner of the restaurant, said very loudly so I could hear " she wants more now?!".Terrible customer service. Wont be returning. Who talks about their customers while they can hear, sorry we werent eating for free, we gladly paid our £50 bill, NO TIP.Also, when requesting more basil and garlic I had said, if possible...why take the plate away if you just want to rant about your customers while they can hear you?!Service was a complete disappointment, food was okay, but staff ruined the entire experience. Waste. Way better restaurants in the surrounding area. Dont bother.
I contacted about them doing a deal for us for my sister-in-laws hen. They were super quick to respond however weren’t able to offer delivery so we had to order deliveroo. The pizzas were delicious.Thank you would defo recommended.
Really good range of Italian options. Lovely ambience and service too!
Great menu and location. After walking on a hot day visit to the sea front, a cold beer and pizza was perfect. Great staff, very attentive. Clean loos
There is nothing better than having a hearty pizza. But a real Neapolitan pizza is the dream made by the chef at Nu Posto.
Great food but was very rushed, mains arrived before even finishing starter, plates taken away whilst other guests still eating, 3 course meal 43 minutes and out, felt like the race was on to get us back, gave feedback but no response
Was disappointed with gluten free options. Extra charge for gluten free gnocchi is unnecessary as the gnocchi was basically potato and had a similar texture to play dough. Did not taste nice, would not recommend.
Bloody brilliant service from Alec. A different take on your classic Italian but only dead fish go with the flow. Loved it. Sadly no cake of the day.
Great service and good food. Food tasted fresh. They also had a kids pasta for 5 pounds! Felt sorry for the staff having to work in the heat. Will return.
Authentic Italian Cuisine!!! Fast and friendly Service..
Post graduation family Dinner. Modern, friendly and great food and drink. A regular haunt also for when the kids were at uni.
Staff: 10/10! Could not be helpful or polite.Food: Pasta was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the Grande Salad was spot on!Atmosphere & Comfort: It felt like I was in Italy 🇮🇹 and a great choice of music too!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
NUPOSTO Brighton RestaurantMe and my family have VISIT nuposto for the second times Delicious food prepared with quality ingredients. Great service staff really friendly There is a wide variety of pasta and pizza to choose from, and there is also a vegetarian and vegan option on the menu. Freshy made we are really impressed with our food I would recommend nuposto its a good pizza restaurant in Brighton. Its a great location too so close to the seafront and Brighton Centre.Service 5*Quality 5*Price 5*Presentation 5*
Brilliant food and service, I really cant fault it. Lucas our server was great as well, made sure we had a great evening. We will be coming back again
Highly recommended 5 ✨Beside the fact that we loved our food and drinks, we have been served by Lucas, whose customer service was absolutely impeccable. Second to none. Very impressed. Thank you!We will definitely come back when we’ll travel again to Brighton.
Took my mum her for her birthday, Lovely food! We had a great waiter named Lucas - who was very helpful and friendly. The meal came to £32 which is great value in my opinion. Definitely Recommend
A small group of us visiting Brighton went for dinner here. Food was incredible and plenty of gluten free options which suited us well. However staff were very keen to get rid of us. My friend had just put the last piece of crust in his mouth and the waiter was over lifting his plate. He hadn’t even finished chewing. We were served our bill without asking for it several minutes after finishing our meal ultimately making us feel as though they wanted to just get rid of us even though the restaurant was not busy and there were plenty of free tables. Possibly the worst of our staff interactions was when a member of our party was approached by a staff member after he used the bathroom to be told quite rudely “toilets are for customers only”. A very disappointing result as the food was delicious.
Great service ! Pizza and pasta are made with tasty fresh products. Price are good compared to Italian chain places and quality much better. Just they charged full price for a bit a vegan cheese on kids pizza which we didn’t expect.
Went to NuPosto for lunch with my friend on a short visit to Brighton and we loved it there. Pizza tasted like the original Italian pizza.
Fantastic pizza! Really enjoyed the pizza, lovely dough , reminded me of the pizzas we used to eat when we lived in Italy. Friendly quick service, reasonable prices. Definitely recommend. 5 stars.
The welcome was nice and friendly.Me and my partner waited for our pizzas, I ordered a Diavola and she ordered a Caprichosa. Both pizzas had barely ANY meat on them and they were both quite soggy. Not coming here again.
Wow wow wow ! Truly delicious wonderful food. My daughter & I had pizza. It was divine. Beautiful base, quality ingredients as toppings. My youngest had two bowls of the bolognese she liked it to so much. Delicious sorbet, ice cream & doughnuts !!! Honestly can’t rate the food highly enough !
Ottima pizzeria! I had dinner here as part of an Italian Meetup group, 3 of us are from Italy and 3 are Brits who travel often to Italy. So one thing we know is our pizza! And we thought it was excellent. Staff were super kind and helpful with our every request. Our group included vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters and there was plenty of choice for all. I will definitely be back!
One of the very best experiences in dining whilst in Brighton. Having worked in hospitality for years I was blown away by how welcoming the duty manger was considering we hadn’t booked and managed to find us a seat. Service times were impeccable although the restaurant was fully booked. The food was top class and one of if not the best pizza I have tried. The team were professional and quick. A sure place to visit whilst in Brighton.
The food was great, so were the drinks. We had a lovely pre-show meal and we will be returning. Great service from the staff, especially from Benji, he was 5 Star! 😉
Pizza just like Naples! There are some pizza spots in Brighton, but none like NuPosto. Lucas, our phenomenal waiter, kindly greeted us and led us to a charming table. My friend and I started with the garlic bread and wow it was tasty! The dough was perfect. Fully of flavour but as soft as a pillow. I could practically feel the Neapolitan wind on my cheek as I savoured every bite. After the garlic bread, we indulged into pizza. Whoever cooked that thing knew how to make a man feel good! Seasoned to perfection. It was soft, but rich in flavour. Incredible!Thank you NuPosto :))
Amazing pizza (vegan and standardat their Brighton restaurant. Had a lovely server make our visit even more enjoyable. Thank you Maia.
Great place to eat Italian / Napolitan food .Great pizza, great desert ...all home made.Definitely we will be back.
Visiting Brighton I decide to try NuPosto with my kids, the pizzas were amazing right amount of toppings Neapolitan base and wood fired oven.Friendly service. The only let down was the dessert. We ordered a Tiramisù we received a dessert made of whipped cream and some sponge completely drenched in coffee
Being my first time odering food from NUPOSTO, I decided to order something simple so I ordered a Margherita. It was very tasty with the perfect crust. I went in the next day and had Lasagna with garlic bread on the side. Again I really enjoyed every bit of it.The Staff were very Caring and friendly. I must say that 12 years of living in England so far its the best italian food I have ever had. Will definitely be returning in the future with family and friends.
Seriously good pizza’s. Probably the best in Brighton. Light base with a decent chew on the crust. Perfect amount of toppings and amazing fresh sauce.
Good options for vegetarians. Also extra credit to the chef who made alio e oglio off the menu for us. Thank you 🙏It was my first time having fresh pasta, and I was not disappointed.Well done guys. Thank you for your service.
Chilled music, Great atmosphere and even greater pizza. One of the best pizzas I have ever had in my life. 100% recommend. Absolutely coming here again when I next visit Brighton
The food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff was very friendly and efficient with our orders! Would definitely come back where when I am next in Brighton!
Really disappointing evening here.Starters completely forgotten.Mains arrived in stages - so first two got cold waiting for second two.Missing items from the mains as well.Manager (when she eventually came to deal with itwasn’t especially interested and basically just knocked the “discretionary” service charge off the bill.Really bad customer service. And the food wasn’t particularly good either.Avoid.
Food was spot on, service was quick and efficient, would return again. The garlic bread with cheese was also amazing ... No room for dessert though, although I think I spotted a Nutella donut on the menu.. took a star off because I think it would be useful for idiots like me to explain each pasta shape and if its a cream or tomato dish as there were no pictures on the menu.
Tried it for the first time. Ambiance was ok but a bit cold. Bruschetta was nice but expecting twice the portion. Seafood pasta looks good but was served on a cold plate! The waiter was kind enough to replace the plate. In fairness, the pasta tasted really good. Pizza is very good!
This was proper pizza. The staff is polite, prices are right and fair - and I am not someone who goes to outrageously expensive places/rip offs. The place feels rustic and they seem to use proper wood fire oven. Excellent location, close to the seafront. Toilets are clean, as is the whole place really. It also feels relaxed and you can take your time to enjoy a good pizza (or pasta, though I havent tried it). Will be back for sure! Until next time.
The pizza was delicious, and the dough is very high in quality and maturation. I recommend as the closest Neapolitan pizza style ate in UK until now.
Decent size servings of good pasta. Cook to the point pasta really tasty. The pesto and shrimps pasta was really good. The location could not be better, close to the beach. The staff is very close and friendly and there is value for money.
Fresh dough, seafood, pasta, huge amount and amazing price. Good service as well. It’s a great combination of seafood and Italian food.
Great atmosphere, really friendly service, lovely ambiance - very chilled out - child / family friendly and also good for groups. The food is really nice - the pizzas look like the crust is a bit too thick (too much doughbut they taste great. The pasta is made fresh (it’s also veganand tastes great.
Authenticated Neapolitan pizza place in the earth of Brighton. Really good and tasty food with few intriguing specialties that you cant easily find in the UK (panuozzo). Atmosphere is similar to the one that you can find in Naples, staff is also polite and accomodating. Definitely a place not to miss if you are around. A+++++
Great trendy local Italian restaurant. Authentic fresh Italian ingredients and very reasonable prices. Good selection of drinks including cocktails and craft beer. The pasta is made at the premises and both the pasta dishes we had were excellent, fresh and well balanced in terms of flavour. We will certainly come again to try the pizza which looked amazing. The service by what seems to be a mainly Italian team was very friendly. Highly recommended.
Great pizza place in Brighton city centre. Lovely light pastel colour walls and fresh decor with decent background music. The pizza are fresh and tasty as are the starters. Also a good range of beers (some craftand wines available. The place itself is spacious so you can go with a decent size group for birthday or celebration.
