Description
Privilege
Defeniteli worth a visit if you want fresh food in Versailles
This is everything you want in a French ma fresh bread, produce, food, even vendors yelling at each other trying to attract customers. Absolutely loved it and got some fantastic bread and cheese in the process.
MoreI love Notra-Dame market!!! Theres a lot of great finds from fruits to cheese with great discounts! Make sure to grab a snack or a meal before strolling Versailles.
MoreGreat marketplace with a wonderful selection of food to take for a picnic at Versailles.
MoreExcellent food
Fruit, vegetables, local specialties.
Authentic Versailles market. High quality products
Very nice market.
One if thé nicest market in France
Delicious food, the highlights for us were the strawberries and the kebabs
The must experience for the great food lovers. Unlike markets in many other European non French cities, there is no option to buy her smth and ask for it being cooked and eaten at the place. It is a true market for cook at home. Considered to be one of the most beautiful markets in France. Mind you that it is officially opened on Wed, Fri, and Sun.
MoreThis is a market in Versailles, we visit on a sundaymarket. Nice to walk around. Expensive a la France ofcourse, but if you have nothing to do? Its a Nice small town to visit.
MoreI enjoyed shopping here. It was a few meters from my hotel so I thought to check it out. I was shocked at the prices I saw, very cheap especially the clothes ,the fruit market it was a beautiful experience for me.
MoreWe love the markets in France. A place to go and get fresh foods on a daily basis. Each day we would walk down to pick up that nights meal and the following morning breakfast. Thee Notre-Dame Market is larger and a bit more commercial than the smaller markets in the small towns, but the essence of the place is the same and the selections of foods is incredible.
MoreAwesome place for fresh produce, cheese and meats. We had a nice French lunch
Market is busy and it sells a variety of fresh and cooked foods. There are also vendors that sell non-consumable products like cooking pans and hand bags.
MoreOh what fun and life and food and exploration! We stopped here via a bike tour to grab a picnic lunch before heading to Versailles for a canal stop to take it in and eat... The market itself is really quite nice, I don’t have much to compare as this is one of only a few I saw in France during this particular trip but even compared to “nice” markets in the states this holds up well from a traditional standpoint and a modern vibe. It’s a good memory for me!
MoreVery Typical French Market with a great variety of products. Used by local families for their regular grocery shopping.
MoreEven after living in France for 18 years I still cant believe how lucky I am to have this fabulous market in my town. If you visit Versailles try to make it on a market day: Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, buy your picnic stuff and then go to the chateau grounds for a lazy afternoon. Perfect!
MoreThis is a phenomenal place to get snacks and drinks for good prices. Enjoy some mulled wine as you wander the streets of Paris near LÎle de la Cité.
MoreIts cool and everything is fresh and beautiful. But I wish they wouldnt make us wait that long before getting served. And its kind of expensive for a street market. Not very expensive though, to be fair. I love the vibes!
MoreSecond largest market in France but the best in my opinion. Plenty of delicious fruit, veg, cheeses, cooked and raw meats. Increasing provision of organic foods. Come first thing of a Sunday morning for the best effect!
MoreOh my goodness! This market is a dream for anyone. Whether you are a tourist, a chef, or anyone just passing by, the market is crazy to visit. They have many shops selling meats, cheeses, vegetables, desserts, and fish. The indoor stalls are arranged around a ring of buildings, so its easy to walk around. I, especially, thought the dessert shop was mouthwatering. Its a shame I didnt get a chance to try the desserts. Next time...
MoreHey if you are near Versailles this is the place to go for food and an authentic French market experience. I would give it 5 stars, but they dont have bathrooms. If you need to go to the bathroom, youll need to go inside a restaurant. As you may know, its disrespectful to use a restarsunts bathroom without buying something. Your best bet is the Burger King, but please dont eat a whole meal there. You dont come all the way to France to eat at Burger King! Instead try something from one of the many delis or other shops in the market.
MoreBest market youll ever visit. Its an adorable place with great food and an authentic atmosphere. You owe it to yourself to come at least once.
MoreBest place to see and taste in Versailles. Fresh products, fruits, vegetables, meats, flowers, clothes, furniture - you will find everything on the market place Notre Dame elected most beautiful market.
MoreAmazing food experience. Fresh produce, meats and cheeses. Only open certain days of the week.
MoreOne of the biggest markets in France. Lots of specialty stores and flea market.
A huge selection of fruits, vegetables, flowers, cheese, seafood. Pretty much anything and everything. Parking is available below the market, but its not free.
MoreA really great market! It has absolutely everything imaginable that you can buy in a market from amazing fresh fuit, vegetables, cheese to delicious Turkish, Italian or Lebanese food to take away!
MoreIts a special place for a market. You can find everything that you need and its nice to walk around and do the shopping. It can become crowded though so better choose the time for a visit
MoreThis is a place where you can find some french already cooked food or fresh vegetables and fruits. And even if you dont wanna buy something, I recommend it for the atmosphere, especially on Sunday morning
MoreIf you are at Palace of Versailles, please do not miss this market which if Im not wrong, opens on Sunday only. The food is yum n different nationalities sell their products. You will find vegetables, fruits, variety of cheese, meat, handicrafts, music, African, turkish n other nationalities cooked food and all this for local street affordable prices. Anybody would enjoy as I enjoyed by mushroom n special cheese stuffed naan.
MoreGreat local market with fantastic selection.
Wonderful market with lots to see and eat! We came here several times during our short stay to to try new things. There are many restaurants and a few bakeries surrounding the market, too.
MoreMy favorite market which dates back from the king :come and grab your picnic here and go directly to the parc of château
MoreHad fresh yummy crepes here in the inside shops. Fresh ingredients from other stores, like smoked salmon.... Stall owner does not speak English but has English menu for ordering. Friendly and recommended to try it.
MoreCute famers market with very large selection of vegetables, fruits, cheese, breads, spices, flowers, fish, seafood and meat. A few bio (organicstands. Great quality and reasonable prices.
MoreIts a busy market, not a tourist one. Locals are there to get their meat, fish, bread, and vegetables. You can get some food to go there. Nice to visit and grab some brunch ingredients.
MoreFresh - Fresh foodCould go around here for hours🦑🐟🍤🍇🇫🇷🍒🥒🥩🌶❤️😊
MoreExcept for closed Mondays, the market changes themes. One day: fruit & veg, another: clothes. The surrounding indoor market sells interesting olives, cheeses, pasta, gourmets etc. Ideal for a stop before hitting the park for a picnic
MoreThe day we went the stalls were mainly fresh fruits and vegetables. We were told the markets alternate between clothes stalls and fruit and veg. There was a lovely little stall selling fresh orange juice and crêpes. Ive never tasted anything so good! The juice was sweet and refreshing on a hot day and the banana and salted caramel crêpe was heavenly. Dont miss out on this treat if you visit.
MoreThe market is amazing, every kind of foods are available, varieties of fruits with cheaper price. when we finished tour of Versailles around 2 pm, most stores are closed.the only drawback of the place is no toilet at all, Macdonald and Burger King have toilets to enter without code, may be you can use without buying anything.
MoreHigh quality products and very nice people. Rated as the most beautiful market in France for several years.
MoreInteresting mix of options and fresh food varieties. Do visit if youre around
On Sundays, the open market sells fresh vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, meat and a large variety of cheese at surprisingly affordable prices compared to the stores. Not a fan of the daily stands inside the market building which are definitely more expensive.
MoreDefinitely worth a visit
Awesome market, make sure to check each corners shops to find the best place to buy
MoreGreat friendly service. Huge selection of goods... From many different regions!
I love to visit this market with a nice atmosphere in early morning!
