Awesome thank goodness
Lovely place to hike. Some of the trails are badly marked
Great place for Hiking!!!
Great place to park to hike either west or East on the New England/M&M trail. Maps attached show both ways. (Purple = white blazes on color coded map. Many great loops along the ridge. Our favorite is dropping down to lithia and back up and over the ridge.
Great place to park if you want to hike MT. Bare at section 7 of the New England trail.
I love climbing this mountain year round, always a nice hike and a beautiful view. Photo taken 5/24/21
Nice. Very epic with snow and cold and wind
Its a great place to go hiking! It is some what steep, but it has beautiful views!
Quite shocked at construction and investment.
Excellent place to start a hike!
great views
Not too much parking though
Exactly what you need to escape the everyday hustle and bustle. 20 minutes from highway and yet you are deep in the woods...
Bare mountain trail is challenging!
The Notch Visitor Center is a nice pit stop with bathrooms and picnic tables for before or after your hike up a mountain. The sights around it are incredible, which includes the view from the top if Mount Norwottuck. Its definitely worth adventuring out to and exploring the nearby trails.
A great place to go hiking
Great displays and info
Small center with great exhibits. Also, you can do hikes of varying lengths and difficulties from here.
Clean trails. Get there early if you want to get a better experience and less traffic. Fun experience and plenty of trail options in either direction. The kids and pooch always enjoy it. Get outdoors!
Absolutely stunning. Love the choices of trails.
Nice and helpful staff will guide you on your way
Some great hikes
A top destination in the Pioneer Valley
Hike the notch all the time esp like winter. Visitor center open, stopped in to figure out snake seen at viewpoint on Bare Mtn, verdict was milk snake not a juvenile copperhead so all is well.
The hike was amazing, so many mountain laurels in bloom, and so many native plants made the walk very beautiful, and interesting. Unfortunately the mosquitoes were extremely abundant.
Challenging, but, great experience
If you dont know now you know! This is the Apex point in the line of pokegyms that professordread and blackazbah control. The great curry tofu curtain that spreads from Atkins to South Hadley. You probably eat your tofu utilizing your chopsticks like skewers! You lack discipline! Im going to Machop off your Articuno! Team Mystic Foreva!
Amazing trek up Mt. Norwottuck. Not too difficult and lots of good views.
Popular local hiking spot. Trails to summits can be steep. Many trails to choose from.
Great hiking
Its closed till spring, but the hike up in back was awesome!
Best trail in the area
Great scenery and the trails are easy to follow
Great place to explore! Appreciate the complete map information at trail head.
Good hike
Been here a handful of times, building never seems to be open. Looks cool inside.Does have ample parking, trail maps, and public restrooms. Convenient trailhead parking for Seven Sisters/MM hiking.
Absolutely beautiful there!!
Fun walk! Lots of people in the best way (cute puppies). Steep with rocks so dont go in like flip-flops
Easy to find well marked trails
Well groomed and marked trails.
The Notch Visitor Center is great, but I dont recommend hiking the trail West from there up to Bare Mountain due the loud never-stopping noise from the nearby quarry, not to mention the steady sound of gun shots from the nearby gun range. Non-stop loud grinding, diesel engines, back-up beeping, and gun blasts are stressful and eliminate any benefits youd expect to get from being in Nature. There are dozens of much better hikes within 15 minutes where you can hear and see birds, running water, the sounds of the breeze on the leaves.
Bare mountains great for cardio, and the greeneries stimulating.
Great place to just get away
Lots of great trails start here. There are bathrooms etc. and parking.
Started the 7 Sisters Hike from there and have done Horse Caves. Great visitor center.
Absolute fav local mountain!!!
Some nice info about the area and maps are available. Ranger on site was friendly and helpful with condition and general info about the hike and area.
I hike here all the time with friends and family... My favorite spot is the Horse Caves!
Been hiking since i was very young. And visiting atkins.
Nice hike to Mt. Norwottuck, really beautiful views at the top. Make sure to check out the Horse Caves!
